Key date variable only works for i_step = 1?

Hi, I'm working with the query designer. I need to change the key date of a query before and after the user input.
Using the debugging on transaction rsrt I found out that key date of the query only works for i_step = 1.
With i_step = 2 I never get this variable.
After the popup I can only change the date manually.
I couldn't find any documentation about this specific subject.
Can anyone confirm/ help?

with I_STEP = 1
the enhancement call takes place before varaible entry. so this can be used to populate variables with default values
with I_STEP = 2
called after the processing of the variable pop-up.

Hi Folks -
I am coming across an issue with which some of you might be able to help me. I have a time dependent master data object which I've marked as a datatarget and have created a report on it. I wanted to give the user an option of specifying the key date and hence have created a variable in the query properties for the key date. This variable is of the type SINGLE VALUE, MANDATORY, USER ENTRY and CAN BE CHANGED DURING QUERY NAVIGATION.
Now my issue is that even though I enter a specific key date, the query is not pulling the records according to the key date. But instead if I use the option of specifying a particular date (instead of a variable in query properties), the query is running fine!!! Can someone please let me know why this is happening? Why is the query working fine when I mention a single constant value but not when I use a variable? Thanks for your help in advance.

SAP BW Hiearchy Key Date Variables - Web Intelligence

Hi,
I have couple of issues / scenarios which are not working as expected. First, as I understand that hiearchy variables are supported by WebI.
Scenario 1
I have created a hiearchy key date variable within the report and made it optional. I run the report an no key date appears. It should appear. If I then make the hiearchy key date to mandatory I get a database error. Looks like there is a problem with hierarchy key date variables?
Scenario 2.
I change the hierarchy key date so it uses the key date of the query (so no longer a variable).
As an example,I have employee "Employee X" assigned to "team A." This team moves from the Desktop team to the IT team on the 01.04.2011.
IT
   A - 01.04.2011 -> 31.12.9999
Desktop
   A - 01.01.2011 -> 31.03.2011
I have a hiearchy variable so I can select a team as requied (using the object 0ORGUNIT) If I run the report using the key date 01.04.2011 the WebI report displays the current hierarchy nodes i.e.
IT
   A
and the data shows correctly,
If I now re-run the report using the key date 01.03.2011 in the selection screen in the WebI report the following is still shown
IT
   A
If I select team A - no data is displayed. So it looks like via the use of the "Use query key date" for the hierarchy key date works but not in selection screen which is a problem.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I have now got scenario 2 working - well I didnt do anything apart from run it InfoView and it is fine. But for some reason does not work in WebI Rich client - I will have a look into this furrher but am happy that it works in infoview. Sceanrio 1 is no working still I have run it in InfoView and get the error "A database error occured. The database error text is: Failed to execute MDX query. Reason: Specify a value for variable Hierarchy Key Date. (WIS 10901)" This hiearchy key date is th variable which I have created and assigend to the hiearchy so that a "hierarchy date" can be selected.

Hide "more" button in a list view, only works for first item in the list

I have the following code in a list view that outputs several dozen items in a web app. The code only works for the first item, how can I make it loop through and execute the test for each item in the list view? The {tag_hide more button} is a checkmark field that yields a numeric 1" if checked otherwise yields a numeric "0".

What's the URL for the site where you are using this? Offhand, it looks like it should work with your first example so you are either placing the script before those elements are loaded or you might try wrapping your current javascript inside the:
$(document).ready(function() {
--- your existing javascript here
This make sure the code runs once all the html is loaded on the page. Without seeing a URL and debugging with the js console in Chrome I can't give you a solid answer.
But, I do know that you can probably do this with a lot less markup. Once we figure out what the actual problem is I have a better solution mocked up for you on jsfiddle.
When looking at my HTML code on jsfiddle, please realize I setup some dummy HTML and removed your tags and added actual values which would be output by your tags. The main thing I did was remove the whole div.more-selection and instead, added a "data-is-selected" attribute on your div.more-option element. Then, in my javascript for each div.my-option element on the page, we loop through them, find the value of that data attribute and hide that div if it's less than 1 (or 0).

You'll see in the end result that only two divs show up, both of those divs have data-is-selected="1".
You can try pasting the javascript code near the closing </body> tag on your page and make sure to wrap my js inside a <script> tag, obviously. My way is neater on the markup side. If you can't get it to work it's likely a jquery conflict issue. My version is using the $(document).ready() method to make sure all the code is loaded before it runs.

My applications always quit...iChat only works for 4 minutes at a time HELP

ok so i bought leopard today
i installed it but i skipped that step when leopard checks the volume of your comp or whateever (not sure if that will affect what im about to say)
now i have leopard...i love it but my applications just KEEP quitting out and my iChat only works for 4 minutes and then my friends stop recieving my messages
should i uninstall and re install?? how would i go about doing that??

One possibility is that your hard drive is failing. If you don't have backups of any data you don't want to lose, that needs to be your number one priority. Get that data backed up. Once you have done that, you can start exploring options.
Open Disk Utility, select your hard drive and take a look at the SMART status:
If it says anything other than Verified, the drive is definitely failing. If it says Verified, all that means is that it isn't failing in a way that the drive can detect.

Flash Player only works for the account that downloaded it

I downloaded flash player and did not specify any special preferences, however, it doesn't work for the 2 other accounts on the computer. It only runs for the Administrator account from which i downloaded it. I'm running XP professional. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

hi, i had already deleted cookies, temp internet files, etc;
i only have the IE pop up blocker and blocking level set at Medium;
it's the latest version of FP 10.0.45.2.
I installed this version a couple of weeks ago and it worked ok for all accounts (the other 2 accounts are not admin) for a week. Then, it stopped working for all accounts, i reinstalled it (some trial and error involved), then when it finally reinstalled, only works for the one account. i just tried to reinstall from one of the other accounts and error mssg said "failed to register"

Hi ol, I would go to Tools, click on Internet Options and clear the Temp files. Delete Cookies, Delete Files, including the off line content. I would do this using all accounts. Also check the history files while you are there and delete those also unless you have done so recently.
What version of Flash Player do you have Installed?
Do you use any adblock or pop up blocker software?

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Hi all
I've different user accounts on my PC for me and my son.
Somehow Flash Player 10 only works for the user account I installed Flash player with.
In case I install it using my account it will not work for my son's account and vice versa.
How can I solve this?

I've struggled with this for a long time. Here is what I've come up with.
Adobe tech support recommended this:
1. Log in as Admin
2. Download the following zip file from here:
www.supportflash.com/reset_all.zip
3. Unzip this folder onto your desktop.
4. Drag both files ‘reset_min_all.cmd’ and
‘subinacl.exe’ to your
desktop.
5. Run the reset_min_all.cmd file.
6. It will open a DOS like terminal and start
running through registry
keys.
7. When it is finished it will say “press any key
to continue”.
8. At this point you can install the latest Flash
Player:

I can't recall whether I had to run this in each account or not. It somewhat worked for me. If the accounts were all set up as admin accounts, flash worked in all the accounts after that. If one account was admin and the rest were limitied (I'm running xp home) it wouldn't work in the limited account.
I gave up and reverted back to flash player 9 via NOrton go back
It must be a permissons issue of some sort. I just don't have the patience to figure it out.

Airplay only works for Netflix

I'm using an iPad Air running iso 8.1.2. I can watch Netflix using airplay but can't show anything else. Apple online support indicates I need to turn on mirroring, but I can't find the switch, their example shows mirroring in iso 7 on a phone and doesn't help. ICElim logic only work for 2006

I have created four sets of test data using the IC Input schedule template of Apshell. all the current value did not change except the time dimension, which I choose a month for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008. a Rec data and Payable data were generated for each of test scenario. then I run the IC Elimination package. I notice that the IC Logic is only working for the test data of 2006. I check the log for the other three scenario, they are fail because " No Record to Process" after the three select statement for fact table, fact2 table and WB table.
I test the other months from 2006, all of them work, while all the months from 2005,2007, 2008 is not working
Anybody has experience of this?

Boy do I feel stupid!!!
I know what's happening and here is how I figured it out.
In desperation, I followed Apple supports instructions to reinstall Logic Express 8. I kept my fingers crossed praying this would do it. I loaded a blank project and then selected a simple piano instrument. I played all the notes until the note that was giving me problems. Guess what? It still wouldn't play!
I nearly lost it until I asked myself one simple question: " what is between my controller keyboard and my Logic software?" Answer: My M-Audio Uno midi interface. I went to M-Audio's website downloaded the same bloody driver update as three months ago, reinstalled it and voila! Problem solved.
So if any of you are experiencing this nightmare, reinstall your midi driver and before you fire up logic again run a little test in your mac's audio/midi setup as I did. You will realize everything works. Now fire up your Logic Express and start making your music ASAP cause music makes the world go round. BTW: I have every intention of replacing that midi device with something more professional because I for one cannot even sleep when my studio is not functional.

I don't get a spinning ball, it just stops working at whatever page it's on. I can close the program just fine but when I re-open it, either safari or firefox, it freezes trying to load the hompage. This started a few days ago after trying to stream a movie on my computer. I'm on a Mac Air OS X Version 10.6.8 and have downloaded all updates. When I go into finder, it says I have over 80 gigs available. Is there some other memory cache that I need to check? Thanks so much for your help.

I'm not trying to belittle your issues; you're certainly having them and I know first hand how annoying an intermittent AirPort issue can be. (In fact, mine was due to an AirPort driver bug that no one else seemed to suffer from.)
The single best diagnostic you could do is take your system running 10.5.7 to an Apple Store, and try using their in-store network.

If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3."

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

You need to give more info..
Firstly only works for what.. networking.. backup.. wireless. You need more nouns.. more adjectives... describe what you want and what fails.. then we can figure out why.
Most likely you have bridged it when it should be in router mode..
Most likely you are using Lion or ML which has the airport utility bridge the TC by default.
Change it to working as a router. That might help.
If you press reset button it will default back to router btw.
If you are on Lion.. use a real utility. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1547
