Key Mapping error

Hello All,
I'm working with MDM 5.5 SP4.
I've created a repository (in the MDM Console) with the option <i>Key Mapping = Yes</i>. Then I import data from 2 client systems (CRM  & ERP)successfully.
However after data consolidation, the option edit key mapping (in MDM data manager) is not available?
What is wrong? Any idea?

Hi ,
Have you mapped the remote key in your main table while importing the data in the IM ? For example, if you are working with the customer scenario - map the incoming source customer number from your CRM system to the remote key field in the destination. Make a clone of the custoemr field & then map it to the custoemr field present in the destination.
Similarly follow the same process while importing the data from you ERP/other system. Now if you right click on a record in the DM you will have the key mapping.
Hope this helps !
Regards,
Anita

    Hi Sivaram,
    Keymapping process is improved a lot in the latest patch release.
    however, for java heap error, you are left with only one option that is excel based keymapping.
    Please refer to the user guide for the same or you can map the object one by one using the keymapping GUI as you were doing before.
    Suggestion is to upgrade to the latest patch of SAP b1  and intercompany both.

  • Boot camp key mapping error

    How can I get the tilde key to work in windows 8.1 running on boot camp? It seems to have mapped the tilde (`) or with shift (~) key to output a (\) or with shift (|). The tilde key is used to open the console in many windows games (like skyrim) so I was wondering if there was a way to fix this problem.

    The method I used for Windows 7 SP1 which may work under Windows 8 was to uninstall the Apple Keyboard driver that BootCamp installed and installe the slightly older one from BootCamp 5.0.5033.
    Old driver was 'Windows Driver Package - Apple Inc. Apple Keyboard.......'
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638 Look in Drivers/Apple for AppleKeyboardInstaller64.exe.
    Hope this helps as it a lot easier solution than some of the other fixes out there.

  • MDM iviews in Portal throws error in key Mapping

    Hi,
    I have EP7 with SP15 and MDM 6.0, recently upgraded. Before upgrade we have an application which uses the MDM iviews and maps the fields of one table to other and displays in some other iview.
    The application was working fine before upgrade of MDM. But after upgrade, the mapping seems not working.
    My scenario is as : Using MDM Search iview, I search records from MDM repository, Main Table. This result is displayed in MDM Result iview. From this result iview, I select a record. From this selected record, a field is mapped to the other table. The mapped record, then, is displayed in MDM Details Iview.
    After MDM upgrade, whenever we select a record from the result of table 1,the mapped iview throws erros :
    Error occurred: Error performing search. com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: Illegal value for parameter,  com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: Illegal value for parameter (see log for details)
    when serached log : it says error in <table 1>-Key mapping  <table1> is first table.
    We have used EPCF eventing for MDM iviews.
    has anyone out there faced same issue ?
    Please let me know your views.
    Regards,
    Abhijeet

    Hi Abhijeet ,
    check the below wiki
    findout anything is needed related to keymappings
    "if Keymapping is selected, your Result Set iView only displays fields that are related to key mapping.This step depends on the search table selected and the schema of the repository that you are connected to"

    check the search table and schema of repository properties you connected

  • Import Manager 'Error 5611520 - Error Saving Key Mapping'

    I am using CREDITOR_EXTRACT in R/3 to send Vendor IDoc to XI and use CREMDM04 type.  XI generates an XML file that I load into MDM using a client that is set up for Inbound/Outbound.  The key mappings have been turned on for the Vendor repository.
    In IM, I use the standard map CREMDM04 and the system maps the incoming XML file to the vendor main table.  There are few values that I have to map manually - fine.  Next, when I click Import, I get a error pop-up message 'Error Saving Key Mapping - Errno 5611520'.
    Has anybody experienced this when using all standard content (schemas and maps) for Vendor?
    Thanks in advance.

    Subbu,
    Found another system that has the same versions as you do.  This particular error did not appear, but we got some internal IM error.  Also, the SAP training demos are on the same versions as mine.
    I am using MDC R/3 as the client and the CREMDM04 schema map.  Not using MDM inbound ports for now.  Just loading XML file generated by XI based on CREMDM04. Do you think that I need to define a Qualified Range for this client in the Console or can it be left blank?
    Thanks.

    MAILS--Dear Mohit,
    Thanks for the patience.
    We have received the below update from the Licensing Team.
    You received your permanent key in respect of these licenses - the key is  for Crystal Reports Server XI.
    You did not purchase these licenses for Crystal Reports Server, but purchased it for Crystal Reports and a 5-named user license for Crystal Reports was included as a special offer.  The software included was version XIR2, but you elected to use version XI instead and received key .
    You would need to enroll the licenses in maintenance if you want to upgrade them.
    In case of any queries please create a ticket via the Service Market Place.

    Ajit,
      By design, the product is not able to be installed under the superuser account.
    1.  Create a new user and specify a home directory for the user without a quota set.
    2.  Copy or move the installation files to a directory that the new user can read.  I suggest you move the installation files directly into the new user's home directory.
    3.  Logon as the new user (or su - newuser)
    4.  run the installation shell script using that new user's account.
    NOTE:  Ensure the system meets the requirements from the supported platforms documents.

    uncomment #KEYPMAPFILE=CGICMD.DAT. remove the #
    then for development set
    reloadkeymap=yes (same file - rwservlet.properties).
    Now it should reload everytime. (otherwise for every change u need to restart oc4j_bi_forms)
    (For * production* may be you want to set reloadkeymap=no once all testing is done)
    see cgicmd.dat for many examples of using keymap file

  • MDM Exception: Key mapping value must be unique. You cannot overwrite key

    "ServerException: Key mapping value must be unique. You cannot overwrite key mapping values."
    I received such exception when code tried to manipulate Key Mappings of the record.
    error was not happen on mdm 5.5 but on 7.1 it sometimes appears.
    What is probable reason of this?
    How to resolve this ?
    Code is approximate so:
                                         String[] keys = keyMapping.getKeys();
                        if (recordKeyMapping.containsKeyMapping(remoteSystem)) {
                    recordKeyMapping.replace(remoteSystem, keys);
              else {
                   recordKeyMapping.addKeyMapping(keyMapping);
              //Persist
              targetRecord.update();
    //where methods are:
         public void replace(RemoteSystem remoteSystem, String[] keys) {
              KeyMapping keyMapping = getKeyMapping(remoteSystem);
              if (keyMapping == null) throw new IllegalArgumentException("Can't update keys: key mapping for the system '" + remoteSystem + "' is not found");
              else {
                   keyMapping.setKeys(keys);
         public void addKeyMapping(KeyMapping keyMapping) {
              RemoteSystem remoteSystem = keyMapping.getRemoteSystem();
              for(int i = 0; i < keyMapping.size(); i++) {
                   addKey(remoteSystem, (String) keyMapping.get(i));

    Hello -
    I am not sure on that coding part. but is it like are you trying to retrive Key Mapping from Memory accelerator. Here this information always needs to be read from Database.
    I am sure you also maintained  the required attribute for key mapping as in Property in Console should be set as "Yes" and other relevant things properly .
    Here also go through the below link for more insight from tools perspective.

  • Key mapping problem in Intercompany Integration Solution for SBO

    Hello
    I am installing  Intercompany integration solution 2.0 for SAP Business One  in SBO 9.0 PL12. I installed Integration framewerk, have the several DB in the SLD, with test succesfull. I registered the addon in the databases, Installed the Intercompany integration solution scenarios. Everything ok. I also configured settings in SAP Business One with the Intercompany Initialization Wizard in all companys
    I have the next problem. When doing key mapping, i try to continue mapping PaymentTerms but i click the button with ... dots and try to choose an option, it appears blanck, cannot select any optiion from the other database. I mark the button i prese and see the seleccioction window empty
    When i try to Download Key Mapping Excel Template Data and select PaymentTerms, It saves a file with the next error (it has not a csv structure)
    245 - Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '10 DIAS : 10' to data type int. - S0001 -
    Any suggestions ?
    Regars
    Héctor

    Hi Hector,
    Please ensure that in your Payment Terms code, no such special character has been used that are reserved by XML.This may cause conflict with the XML format and may lead to this issue.
    Moreover, for analysis, you may provide with the list of common Payment Terms across your Intercompany participating companies.

  • Passing Parameters using key mapping in web envirnment

    if I use the url for passing parameters directly to report as
    http://appserver/dev60cgi/rwcgi60?report=inv.rep+server=server=repserver+userid=scott/tiger@db+param1=1+param2=2+DESTYPE etc;
    it works fine but Now the problem is I m using key mapping to hide username and password for this the url is
    http://appserver/dev60cgi/rwcgi60?mapkey+report=inv.rep+server=repserver+param1=1+param2=2;
    where mapkey is defined in CGIcmd.dat file as
    mapkey := scott/tiger@db
    I have checked by rearranging the order of paramerters but still get error.
    Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports Server name is not specified.
    but I m mentioning the server name as server=repserver
    Hope to get it soon
    Thnx in advance

    You key defined in the cgicmd.dat file should be:
    mapkey := userid=scott/tiger@db *
    You need parameter name 'userid=' before scott, and need space character and '*' in the line. Without '*', cgi won't take any more parameter from the URL after the key, so '+report=inv.rep+server=repserver+param1=1+param2=2' is ignored if there is no '*' for mapkey.

  • Problems with ViaVoice under Leopard, especially key mapping problems

    ViaVoice's behavior has changed considerably under Leopard. First I will discuss the key mapping problem, since I'm eagerly looking for an answer to this problem. At the end of this post, I will voice some of the other problems I've experienced for those who may be interested. The key mapping problem may be specific to the fact that I use a foreign keyboard with a US version of ViaVoice.
    INTRO:
    I have used ViaVoice on my Mac for years, more or less without problems (ViaVoice's bugginess is notorious).
    Those who know ViaVoice will know that one has two general options for dictation. One can dictate into ViaVoice's so-called SpeakPad, which allows special formatting, editing and dictation error correction within the dictated text, or one can dictate into "external" software such as Microsoft Word, in which case ViaVoice just sends a string of characters to that software. SpeakPad appears to make strong use of the operating system's built-in functionality for character formatting, document formatting, etc.
    *MY PROBLEM*
    I have a German keyboard on my PowerBook, yet dictate in US English. When I dictated into SpeakPad under Tiger, all characters appeared correctly. However, when I dictated into Microsoft Word using Tiger, I had to switch the keyboard mapping from German to US to get all characters (that means including the characters that are located at different positions on a German keyboard than they are on a US keyboard such as y, z, apostrophes and parentheses) to appear correctly.
    Under Leopard, things have changed. Now it doesn't matter whether I dictate into SpeakPad or Word; the results are the same and many characters do not appear correctly.
    If set to a German keyboard, y and z appear as expected. To name a few irregularities:
    "(" appears as ")"
    ")" appears as "="
    apostrophes appear as "#" and
    ";" appears as ","
    If set to a US keyboard, y and z are interchanged. "(" and ")" appear as expected. Apostrophes appear as "\" and ";" appears as ","
    By comparison, if typed (as opposed to dictated, as in the examples above) "correctly" (i.e. based on the letters printed on the keyboard) on a German keyboard set to imitate a US keyboard:
    y and z are interchanged
    apostrophes appear as "|"
    "(" appears as "*"
    ")" appears as "(" and
    ";" appears as the symbol for "less than"
    Since I don't have a US keyboard, I can't say how it would behave if set to imitate a German keyboard, i.e. if there's a correlation to the results I get when I dictate.
    Since I was previously able to dictate correctly into SpeakPad by setting the keyboard to "German" and into Word by setting the keyboard to "US," I presume that this is a problem in Leopard, not ViaVoice.
    *OTHER PROBLEMS WITH VIAVOICE UNDER LEOPARD*
    In addition to the aforementioned key mapping problems (that may be specific to those of us with foreign keyboards), ViaVoice appears to have lost considerable functionality in Leopard. I cannot access SpeakPad's Preferences and the correction window. Moreover, the traffic-light like window buttons have disappeared from the VoiceCenter (although they work if you click where they should be). SetupAssistent appears to function.
    I've written to Nuance about these problems, but have little hope that they will invest the time in producing a patch since they haven't released any updates since 2003.

    Thrums1,
    I've never had to "register" ViaVoice after updating the system. I thus suspect you haven't fully followed my above, three-step advice (particularly step 3).
    1) Reinstall ViaVoice from CD.
    2) Update to the latest version (using the patch downloadable from Nuance's website).
    3) Replace the “temp” and “users” folders (in the "ViaVoice" folder at the upper level of your home directory) by a previous copy thereof. When I say previous copy, I mean a copy from when ViaVoice was still working properly, e.g. a copy from when it was running under Tiger.
    As I said, I've gotten ViaVoice to survive several system updates by following the above steps. To my knowledge, the last step is critical since it saves you from having to reconfigure ViaVoice under the new operating system (in this case Leopard). I suspect that ViaVoice is crashing on your system because it's trying to start some module of the SetUpAssistant that is incompatible with Leopard (as many are). If you instead use old copies of the "temp" and "users" folders (from the previous system), then ViaVoice doesn't have to go through the initial "registration" process; ViaVoice doesn't need the SetUpAssistant; and all is (more or less) fine.
    Good luck!
    BTW, to my knowledge, Dictate only runs on Intel Macs. It thus won't run on a G4 iBook, just as it won't run on my PowerBook G4.

  • Strange Data Mapping Errors after SEM 6 Upgrade. Please assist.

    Hi All, I encountered these sudden Mapping errors after I tried to do Testing in Post Upgrade Sand Box. Here I am trying to to perform Collected Reported Financial Data under Data Collection Method for a particular Company Code 3040. Kindly help me with some quick responses as this is kind of high priority. The errors and the Diagnosis Notes I am unable to follow as I do not where I shall write those Mapping Rules they are referring to. I do not even know if that need to apply any SAP Notes as such. Once again Highly appreciate your quick response and Many Thanks in Advance.

    Input conversion for field Period Value LC has invalid format Message no. UCT8210 Diagnosis The mapping rule for target field Period Value LC contains a move with a selected Input Conversion indicator. Therefore, the system performs an input conversion prior to creating the target data. However, an error in the input conversion occurred while moving the source key figure to the target key figure Period Value LC. This means that the format used for the input conversion is incompatible with the target data. System Response The system will not perform the move. Procedure Examine the mapping rule for field Period Value LC. Either select the Conversion Exit indicator or deselect the Input Conversion indicator. Execute the method again. -
    3040 is incompatible with input format for field /1FB/COMPANY Message no. UCT8258 Diagnosis During execution, the method derives the source selection for source field /1FB/COMPANY from the mapping rule for the target field. 3040 is one of the values that were derived for the source selection. The system requires that this value is in the correct SAP-internal format because the Conversion Exit indicator has been selected in the move operator for field /1FB/COMPANY. However, the value 3040 is incompatible with the SAP-internal format. System Response The system attempts to interpret value 3040 as an external format and convert it to the internal format. If this fails, the system is unable to restrict the source selection using source field /1FB/COMPANY. In this case, the system may read more source data than was originally intended, which can affect performance. Procedure In the log, choose the Source button to display the source selections that are used to read the source data. When this appears, examine values selected for field /1FB/COMPANY. If the correct values were selected, you can ignore this message. To prevent this message from being issued, you can select the indicator in the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY. If incorrect values were selected, make sure that the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY has been defined correctly. If the mapping rule is correct and value (3040) derived for the source selection does not affect the overall result, you can ignore this message. If the source selection does not contain the value 3040 for field /1FB/COMPANY and, because of this, source data that is supposed to be read is not being read, make sure that the mapping rule has been defined correctly. If the source selection does not contain any value for field /1FB/COMPANY, make an estimation as to how much excess source data is being read and whether this might affect system performance. If you do not expect any performance problems, you can ignore this message. In any event, you have the following alternatives if the mapping rule is defined correctly, but the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY is unsatisfactory: You can define a source selection for field /1FB/COMPANY in the Customizing settings for the method on the Selection tab page. Then the method uses this source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. You can implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER and use the method INVERT to determine the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY. Then the method uses the result of the INVERT method for the source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. -
    Cannot derive the source selection from target field Version Message no. UCT8252 Diagnosis Field Version has one of the following roles: Consolidation unit Group currency key Fiscal year Posting period Version To delimit the volume of the source data to be read, the system usually derives the source selection from the target selection of such a field. However, the system cannot derive a source selection from field Version. System Response It is possible that a greater volume of source data is being read than is necessary. This can lead to performance issues. Procedure Check whether a mapping rule is defined for field Version. If a mapping rule is defined, you can disregard this warning message. However, if you discover after method execution that the system did not process a large amount of data, and that system performance was not satisfactory, you may want to examine the source selection by choosing the Source button in the log. If the reason for the disregarded data is that too much source data was read because of the unrestricted selection on the source field (which is linked with target field Versionthrough mapping), choose one of the alternatives below: Change the mapping rule for field Version so that the system can derive a delimiting source selection. Implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER with the method INVERT to delimit the selection for the source field that is linked via mapping to the target field Version. -

    1 is incompatible with input format for field FISCPERIOD Message no. UCT8258 Diagnosis During execution, the method derives the source selection for source field FISCPERIOD from the mapping rule for the target field. 1 is one of the values that were derived for the source selection. The system requires that this value is in the correct SAP-internal format because the Conversion Exit indicator has been selected in the move operator for field FISCPERIOD. However, the value 1 is incompatible with the SAP-internal format. System Response The system attempts to interpret value 1 as an external format and convert it to the internal format. If this fails, the system is unable to restrict the source selection using source field FISCPERIOD. In this case, the system may read more source data than was originally intended, which can affect performance. Procedure In the log, choose the Source button to display the source selections that are used to read the source data. When this appears, examine values selected for field FISCPERIOD. If the correct values were selected, you can ignore this message. To prevent this message from being issued, you can select the indicator in the mapping rule used by source field FISCPERIOD. If incorrect values were selected, make sure that the mapping rule used by source field FISCPERIOD has been defined correctly. If the mapping rule is correct and value (1) derived for the source selection does not affect the overall result, you can ignore this message. If the source selection does not contain the value 1 for field FISCPERIOD and, because of this, source data that is supposed to be read is not being read, make sure that the mapping rule has been defined correctly. If the source selection does not contain any value for field FISCPERIOD, make an estimation as to how much excess source data is being read and whether this might affect system performance. Input must be in the format ___,___,__~ Message no. 00088 Diagnosis Your entry does not match the specified input format. System Response The entry in this field was rejected. Procedure The entry must comply with the edit format. The following edit format characters have a special meaning: "_" (underscore) There should be an input character at this point; this should be a number for numeric fields. "." (decimal point) (applies to numeric fields) The decimal point occurs here (setting in the user master record). "," (thousands separator) (applies to numeric fields) This separator occurs (optionally) for more than three figures. Depending on the setting in the user master record, it can be a period or a comma. "V" (applies to numeric fields) The operational sign appears here. If used, it must by at the right margin of the field. The sign is either "-" or " "(space). "~" (tilde) (applies to numeric fields) As of and including this character, leading zeros must also be entered. Otherwise, this character has the same meaning as an underscore. Leading zeros need not be entered on the left of the tilde. They are not output at this position. All other characters have their normal meanings and must be entered in the same position as in the edit format.

    Hi Dan,
    Could you Kiindly advise me where we need to write the Mapping Rules in Consolidation Monitor? All he time the errors refering to Mapping Rules. The only Tab I seen "Mapping" is in Data Basis But as per my Understanding Iwe do not have much to do there as it is system generated Mapping Tab.
    Where we actually go and select/deselct those Input Conversion Indicator/ Conversion exit Indicator.
    Highly appreciate your advise.
    Thanks and Regards,
