KeyExpansion with SysType Property as parameter

Hello,
is it possible to get the parameter for a KeyExpansion out of the properties of the sender system?
Example code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<BIU xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="urn:com.sap.b1i.sim:entity"
xsi:schemaLocation="urn:com.sap.b1i.sim:entity ../../com.sap.b1i.system.sld.repository/General.xsd/SemanticIntegrationModel.xsd"
SenderSysTypeId="B1.2007" ReceiverSysTypeId="B1.2007" SenderCountryCode="*" ReceiverCountryCode="*"
SenderMainObjectTypeId="B1.2007_BP" ReceiverMainObjectTypeId="B1.2007_BP" MainBizflow="Main.bfd" Name="Z.KeyExpTest">
<KeyExpansionRule side="S">
<TargetObjectType ObjectNameSpace="xmlns='urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions'"
ObjectTypeId="Retrieval01" RequestGenerationRuleLink="/sim.com.sap.b1i.datasync.001/biu.Z.KeyExpTest/KeyExpansionB1.xsl">
<ObjectKeyList>
<ObjectKey FieldName="Key01"
SelectionPath="/b1im:B1IMessage/b1im:Header/b1im:System/sim:PropertyList/sim:Property[@Key='Subsidiary Identifier'][1]/@Value"/>
</ObjectKeyList>
</TargetObjectType>
</KeyExpansionRule>
<PropertyList/>
</BIU>
This test does not work. It seems only possible to use something like //BOM/BO/... for the ObjectKey SelectionPath.
I need the value of the sender system property for my sql statement. Does anyone have an idea how I can achieve this?
Kind regards,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
There is debug tool named SIM Process since B1i SN 2007 PL08, giving you an comprehensive process follow step by step.
To enable the step process recording:
1.Goto <<C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\B1iServer\tomcat\webapps\B1iXcellerator\xcellerator.cfg>>
Set bpc.maxDumpSize=-1
# Sets the max. size to dump the payload-data on the CONFIG logging level.
# A value of '-1' states that there is no constraint, a value of '0' switches the
# dumping entirely off (the default) and a positive value is the upper bound in kBytes
# to constrain the dump to.
bpc.maxDumpSize=-1
save the config and restart B1i Service.
2.To swith on the recording for your system.
http://localhost:8080/B1iXcellerator/exec/dummy/com.sap.b1ip.system.cc/bfd/AdminConsole.bfd?!
defdoc=/com.sap.b1i.datasync.b1isntools/ui/B1iSNTools.xml
=>Run time tool=>IPO Control=>Choose your sender system id=>Click LogOn (switch on)
3.Per sender key expansion, operate B1 to create the target event,
B1iSN Tools=>Run time tool=>SIM Process Flow=>Choose your B1 sender system id =>Click PL02
please take a look at P02 step (B1 Inbound), and check whether the new property is there.
Also please refer to the following guide for operation
http://localhost:8080/B1iXcellerator/exec/dummy/com.sap.b1ip.system.cc/bfd/AdminConsole.bfd?!
defdoc=/com.sap.b1i.datasync.b1isntools/ui/B1iSNTools.xml
Tab Guide=>05. Operation => 2.2 B1iSN Processing (Page 8)

• IView Property: application parameter

Hello,
I have a question regarding the iView property "application parameter": how can I set several application parameters?
For example: first parameter useractionid=UAUSER; second parameter application=V01 - how can I seperate these parameters? with blank, with comma and blank or only comma, semicolon and blank or only semicolon, or anything else?
Thanks
Steffi Gründemann

Hi Steffi,
In the application URL, you can add the required parameters. First parameter followed by '?' question mark then '&' (only AND symbol). See the example below:
http://host:port/testApplication?useractionid=UAUSER&application=V01

• Control.invoke() throws System.ArgumentException with Error message as 'Parameter is not valid'

Hi All,
While doing cross thread communication, i am getting System.ArgumentException with Error message as 'Parameter is not valid' when call is made on the control.invoke(delegate method, parama object[]).
I have checked the parameters, all parameters look good.
Please share your views on this.

I am going to explain the following Exception schenario.
The RenderForm() is called from different thread and initially panel.InvokeRequired is true as it gets called from different thread and then invoke() gets called.
So again same method is getting called and InvokeRequired property has then changedd to false and then else part of the code is executed however if i call the RenderForm() repetadely then application throws the exception as stem.ArgumentException with Error
message as 'Parameter is not valid'
And the Exception stack trace is as below-
Type: System.ArgumentException
Message: Parameter is not valid.

if (panel.InvokeRequired)
panel.Invoke(new RenderFormInvoke(RenderForm), new object[] { form, data, clear });

Unfortunately there's not really enough information for anyone to help you much. I can tell you've hit an EOF Exception, but that's about it.
What exactly do you mean by a heavyweight object parameter? Do you mean a large (in memory size) object?
Without any knowledge of your application, I'd probably start by changing your ejb method to do nothing. That should tell you at least whether it's the serialization of the parameter that's the issue or not. Narrow it down from there.
If you need more help, printing the entire stack trace of the EOFException and posting it here would be helpful.

• A question about a method with generic bounded type parameter

Hello everybody,
Sorry, if I ask a question which seems basic, but
I'm new to generic types. My problem is about a method
with a bounded type parameter. Consider the following
situation:
abstract class A{     }
class B extends A{     }
abstract class C
public abstract <T extends A>  T  someMethod();
public class Test extends C
public <T extends A>  T  someMethod()
return new B();
}What I want to do inside the method someMethod in the class Test, is to
return an instance of the class B.
Normally, I'm supposed to be able to do that, because an instance of
B is also an instance of A (because B extends A).
However I cannot compile this program, and here is the error message:
Test.java:16: incompatible types
found   : B
required: T
return new B();
^
1 errorany idea?
many thanks,

Hello again,
First of all, thank you very much for all the answers. After I posted the comment, I worked on the program
and I understood that in fact, as spoon_ says the only returned value can be null.
I'm agree that I asked you a very strange (and a bit stupid) question. Actually, during recent months,
I have been working with cryptography API Core in Java. I understood that there are classes and
interfaces for defining keys and key factories specification, such as KeySpec (interface) and
KeyFactorySpi (abstract class). I wanted to have some experience with these classes in order to
understand them better. So I created a class implementing the interface KeySpec, following by a
corresponding Key subclass (with some XOR algorithm that I defined myself) and everything was
compiled (JDK 1.6) and worked perfectly. Except that, when I wanted to implement a factory spi
for my classes, I saw for the first time this strange method header:
protected abstract <T extends KeySpec> T engineGetKeySpec
(Key key, Class<T> keySpec) throws InvalidKeySpecExceptionThat's why yesterday, I gave you a similar example with the classes A, B, ...
in order to not to open a complicated security discussion but just to explain the ambiguous
part for me, that is, the use of T generic parameter.
The abstract class KeyFactorySpi was defined by Sun Microsystem, in order to give to security
providers, the possibility to implement cryptography services and algorithms according to a given
RFC (or whatever technical document). The methods in this class are invoked inside the
KeyFactory class (If you have installed the JDK sources provided by Sun, You can
verify this, by looking the source code of the KeyFactory class.) So here the T parameter is a
key specification, that is, a class that implements the interface KeySpec and this class is often
defined by the provider and not Sun.
stefan.schulz wrote:
>
If you define the method to return some bound T that extends A, you cannot
return a B, because T would be declared externally at invocation time.
The definition of T as is does not make sense at all.>
He is absolutely right about that, but the problem is, as I said, here we are
talking about the implementation and not the invocation. The implementation is done
by the provider whereas the invocation is done by Sun in the class KeyFactory.
So there are completely separated.
Therefore I wonder, how a provider can finally impelment this method??
Besides, dannyyates wrote
>
Find whoever wrote the signature and shoot them. Then rewrite their code.
Actually, before you shoot them, ask them what they were trying to achieve that
is different from my first suggestion!
>
As I said, I didn't choose this method header and I'm completely agree
with your suggestion, the following method header will do the job very well
protected abstract KeySpec engineGetKeySpec (Key key, KeySpec key_spec)
throws InvalidKeySpecException and personally I don't see any interest in using a generic bounded parameter T
in this method header definition.
Once agin, thanks a lot for the answers.

• Error while importing a big array with thr property loader

Hello,
the following problems occure: when I want to import a *.txt file with a array of more than arround 3300 members with the property loader, the following error meassage occures:
property loader step failed to import or export properties
x property values were found
x-1 property values were imported from y rows
Error code: -18, user defined error code.
how can I solve this problem?
I think sizes of arrays are limited somewhere in the source code of the property loader. is it possible to increase this size? And how?
regards samuel

Could you attach an example of your .txt file and your sequence?

• Internal Server Error while sending mail with extended property

I am using EWS Managed API. I just started fiddling with Extended properties. So I wrote simple code to send a simple mail with extended property attached to it.
Forming the mail part I simply copy pasted from this
MSDN page. For testing purpose I suppressed certificate validations.
This is my complete code:
1 ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback = delegate(object s, X509Certificate certificate, X509Chain chain, SslPolicyErrors sslPolicyErrors) { return true; };
2 service = new ExchangeService(ExchangeVersion.Exchange2007_SP1);
3 service.TraceListener = new TraceListener();
4 service.TraceEnabled = false;
5
6 service.Credentials = new WebCredentials("[email protected]", "password@123");
7 service.Url = new Uri("https://exchng.domain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx");
8
9 Guid MyPropertySetId = new Guid("{C11FF724-AA03-4555-9952-8FA248A11C3E}");
10
11 // Create a definition for the extended property.
12 ExtendedPropertyDefinition extendedPropertyDefinition = new ExtendedPropertyDefinition(MyPropertySetId, "Expiration Date", MapiPropertyType.String);
13
14 // Create an e-mail message that you will add the extended property to.
15 EmailMessage message = new EmailMessage(service);
16 message.Subject = "Saved with extendedPropertyDefinition of two days";
17 message.Body = "The expiration date is contained within the extended property.";
18 message.ToRecipients.Add("[email protected]");
19
20 // Add the extended property to an e-mail message object named "message".
21 message.SetExtendedProperty(extendedPropertyDefinition, DateTime.Now.AddDays(2).ToString());
22
23 // Save the e-mail message.
24 message.SendAndSaveCopy();
Please find the rest of the question in first reply, as I got "Body must be 4 to 60000 characters long".

Rest of the question:
I am getting below exception (with no nested inner exceptions) on line 24:
An internal server error occurred. The operation failed.
at Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ServiceResponse.InternalThrowIfNecessary()

If I comment line number 21, the code works fine and sends the message. So why it fails with extended properties?

• Set Synchronize with Item property at runtime in Forms

Hi,
We have a requirement to set the "sychronize with item" property to null for one of the fields of seeded form during run time (this is to avoid modifying the seeded form which has the synchronize property of field A set to field B. We are planning to do this change in CUSTOM.PLL). I couldn't find any property in "APP_ITEM_PROPERTY2.set_property" which can suffice my requirement. I am working on Forms 10g.
Please let me know if anybody has worked on similar requirement.
Thanks,
Shree

Hello.
You can perform this by using:
set_tab_page_property('Tab_page_name', label,'your_desire_label');
and for item set_item_property.
More details on these built-ins and also some example can be found in Forms Builder Help.

• Stored procedure with cursor as out parameter

Can any one help me by showing how to write a procedure with cursor as out parameter and caputuring it in java using jdbc.
Thanks in advance,
shravan bharadwaj

I know that in the SQLJ distribution (which is also downloadable) there is an example in the demo directory called RefCursDemo that shows the SQL code and how to call it - albeit from SQLJ and not JDBC. There may also be a demo in the JDBC distribution, though I am not sure about that.

• Multiplot waveform graph plots are different colors when set to be the same with a property node.

The graphs were working yesterday. I made a few changes to another part of the block diagram and now the graphs do not plot all of the plots the same color. I am using a for loop with a property node with the elements active plot connected to the iteration terminal, and plot color to a color box. My for loop increments programmaticaly from another part of the code to create plots as it runs. I have replaced the graphs with new ones and they will work sometimes.
I am using Win2k and LV 7.1
Thanks,
Brett

Hi bh3560,
Have you tried chaging the color by right clicking on the line in the plot legend. There is an option to change the color of the plot.

• LOV with a query Bind Parameter

Hello,
I am following the JHeadStart PDF tutorial over the HR Schema. On the page 45 this tutorial shows how to make a Dynamic Lookup with a Query Bind Parameter to choose the employees of a department with the expresion "p_dpt_id=#{bindings.DepartmentsDepartmentId.inputValue}".
After that I tried to make the same using a LOV instead of a Lookup but on the popup window opened with the LOV table the "#{bindings.DepartmentsDepartmentId.inputValue}" value is null and I can´t access to this information. If on the LOV definition I write for example "p_dpt_id=30" this work ok and filters the query for the employees of the departen 30, but not with "p_dpt_id=#{bindings.DepartmentsDepartmentId.inputValue}"
There is another way to do that?
Thank you very much

I have done this task using the aid of the JHeadstart manual and these two previously posted threads,
Group Used as LOV does not return records
Query Bind Parameters and LOV's [JHS 10.1.3.1]
The actual process to do it feels rather unintuitive and complicated, but I've tested it and thus far is works flawlessly.
I whipped up a demo of this using the HR schema and JHeadstart, maybe I will post it on here.

• Why the "Synchronize with Item" property don't save?

I created that table :-
create table syn (col1 number , col2 number);
and in forms 6i ..... I determinate col1 as the value for "Synchronize with Item" .
http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/6258/synar6.png
and when I test it in runtime , it work correctly and after I saved the data and get out of forms and went to database to ensure the data existing ... I surprised that the data in col2 not existing at all .... wholly empty
SQL> select*from syn;
COL1 COL2
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
8 rows selected.
why the item (COL2) don't save the data that inserted into it automatically by "Synchronize with Item" property ????

i should use copy property not Synchronize ?That's meant for copying values from master to detail, so it would probably not work as you want within the same record. I think you should set the value of the secondary item in pre-insert and pre-update triggers, depending on what you're actually trying to accomplish?

• Call from Java Plsql Procedure with VArray as Out Parameter

Hi,
I have a Java web application(Tomcat server) that call a plsql procedure with Varray as OUT parameter.

I think the below statement is enough; we need ArrayDescriptors only when we we wish to send a Plsql Object or Varray from Java code to the procedure. Plz correct me if not so.

ARRAY SimpleOUTArray = (ARRAY) ((OracleCallableStatement) dbCallableStatement).

There is still a font color button in DW. In the Properties window, click the CSS button in the lower left when you have text selected. There is a little gray square with a tiny black arrow in the corner for font colors. It still uses css, but will muddy up your text with inline styles which isn't generally the best way to do things.
One of the biggest advantages to using css is the ability to put all of your styles in one external .css file. That allows you to make a single change, to a color setting for instance, and have that change affect your entire site (everything you put a given css class on). As it stands, using the old html font-color attribute, or inline css forces you to go through the code with a fine tooth comb and change each individual setting.
CSS is a massive upgrade and improvement over the old method.
I would definitely suggest getting familiar with css, it really is required for any kind of modern website and ends up making your life much much easier while using the CSS Designer window in DW (which is where a lot of this stuff takes place now in a Design View development approach)...
http://w3schools.com/css is a good place to start.
