LabVIEW HTTP browser (client) without dedicated PC (as a server)
The web server is already setup successfully on the ATMEGA32 microcontroller.
I only need a functional GUI to any client on the internet to receive the data through the browser.
The objective of this problem is to prevent any pc dedicated to this system. (for the purpose of webserver or GUI)
Nature of data: Current density and temperature measurement data from the fuel cell.
I would like to know your best solutions for this case!
Thanks in advance!

Hi ajaba,
With regards to your first reply - you are right. The HTTP client VIs allow you to connect to a web-server programmatically and retrieve data just like if you were visiting the site from your browser.
You can try this really simply by using the open handle, GET data and close handle VIs on any URL and look at the body response out. The body will be the html contents of the web-page but if you have your ATMEGA32 configured to output HTTP data then that's what you'll receive.
I was playing around with this recently to receive the number of unread emails (Gmail) I have - here's a screenshot:
The first 3 VIs are the ones you want to use - the rest of the VIs just read the XML data.
As for your second reply - I don't understand as your initial question was that you had an ATMEGA32 that was acting as the server? From your second reply it sounds like you want to have a datasocket server - that's basically acting as a dedicated server?

Enable Design Browser Client (HTTP 404)
I've completed the design time and runtime installs for OWB, however, when I try to enable warehouse builder design browser client (section 2.4 of the OWB9.2InstallGuide docs) I get the initial screen from HTTP Server listing the following:
Apache Documentation
JServ Documentation
Demo
Oracle JSP Documentation
Demos
SOAP Release Notes and Documentation
Mod_SSL Web Site
OpenSSL
FastCGI Developer's Kit Documentation
mod_perl Web Site
Mod_plsql Configuration Menu
BC4J Documentation and Samples
XML Developers Kit XDK Documentation
Mod_OSE Documentation
When I select "mod_plsql Configuration Menu" I get a HTTP 404 error. Seems like it should be a simple config change, but I'm not sure what that would be. Anyone run into this. Any help would be appreciated.
TIAHi Mahesh,
I'm guessing your port is 7778 (you can find that in the file: <Oracle_home_DB>\Apache\Apache\conf\httpd.conf. Look for "Port 777" using Find in the file).
Take a look at the configuration guide for OWB for more details but these are the highlights:
The first thing to do is going to http://locahost:7778
There you you click the MOD PL/SQL entry. Create a Database Access Descriptor, use the same name for this as the OWB Design repository schema.
Then start the OC4J and launch the design browser from the programs owb entry.
That should work.
For the Runtime browser there is no need to create a dad, just start the OC4J and use the menu entry.
Hope this helps,

How can I use LabVIEW as an OPC-client, without using datasockets ?
I heared that would be possible with the newest edition.
The Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) add-on module makes LabVIEW an OPC Client (and a Server).

Direct connection between 2 clients without any configuration!
I wan to make a system act like hamachi or logmein (websever & clients).
I have a webserver on the internet and two client from different networks connected to this webserver, now i want to make directly connection between these clients without any configuration on router. I think it is possible because all infomation about clients network could be got from http request which they send to server. But i don't know what exact fields in the header of http request that i need and how to set them to create connection between clients. I need some ideas about this issue.

I know, so if you want to use a remote control tool such as: VNC, remote desktop you must config on router or server. But even if you had a proxy(permit port 80) when you type www.sun.com you will get data from it, this data was sent from Sun to your proxy and in some way the data was return to your browser. So i think if we have enough information(it come from the webserver) we could init a connection between 2 client. An example of this is Hamachi.
At first 2 hamachi clients connect to a server of hamachi, when they have their id, a tunnel between 2 clients was established without any configuration on proxy(certainly that server did not deny port of hamachi). From now 2 clients can exchange data not through the server. The same in logmein, you can remote desktop any where with zero configuration, but the speed is guarantee because they contact to server for query information, but the data was transmited directly. Sorry if i make mistake. It doesn't work the way you think.
There is a proxy or you have to have one side listening with a ServerSocket and have ports opened as needed. You can't create a Socket connection on server A between clients B and C and then pass it off to clients B and C and magically they just talk to each other.
It does not work that way. It is impossible to do it that way. -
I have the following problem in my Flex+AIR application. I need to embed an ActiveX component that has JavaScript API inside my application. I tried to embed it inside <mx:HTML> component but unfortunately, AIR doesnot support plug-ins or ActiveX controls. So I've decided to open it in a new browser window. I tried navigateToURL(...) method but it has two problems - it is opening a new tab in the existing browser window and there is no way for me to configure the new browser window appearance, like removing toolbar, menu bar, location bar, etc. Then I tried to open a new window from JavaScript running inside <mx:HTML> component using window.open(...) API but it doesn't open a new window at all.
Is there any way for me to open a new browser window without toolbar, location bar, etc. (which will run ActiveX control, so it cannot be AIR window) from inside AIR?
Best regards,
Arkady. Is it possible to open a new browser window using JSP?a JSP page is also an HTML page, this is client side stuff, you can do it with JavaScript.

How Redirect browser(client) based on non-negotiable SSL/TLS protocol or cipher
Hi guys,
we have a security requirement wherein we have to force the browsers accessing our asp.net application hosted on windows server 2012 to have atleast tsl 1.1 , but we don't want to simply block the request, instead we would like to redirect the request
to a unsecured static html page with the instructions on how to get them onto tsl.
can any one help me here?>? actually i found a similar and exactly same thread on stackoverflow but i think that is probably directed towards linux family. http://serverfault.com/questions/591188/redirect-browser-based-on-non-negotiable-ssl-tls-protocol-or-cipher
please help me guys..
ps: i have posted the same question on IIS forum (http://forums.iis.net/t/1223352.aspx?How+Redirect+browser+client+based+on+non+negotiable+SSL+TLS+protocol+or+cipher+from+IIS)
and got a reply saying that it can be done at windows kernel level(possibly).Hi,
As far as I know, once SSL handshake fails, no subsequent communication would occur between the server and client.
Therefore, as the way I see it, the goal cannot be achieved.

Any way to open new browser window without using image maps?
Is there any way to open new browser window without using image maps? My code works fine in Firefox, but not in IE. There are 2 problems in IE: 1st is that the thumbnail images move up within their own borders & 2nd that when you click on an image it does open up a new browser window, but also redirects to the index page (in this case it's just a placeholder index page - the new one I've called index_new.html for the time being).
Here is the link:
http://www.susieharperdesigns.com/gallery_beads.html
Any help is greatly appreciated.Your missing a value on the HREF. In your code you have this:
<area shape="rect" coords="-24,-9,106,144" href=" " onclick="MM_openBrWindow('gallery_bead1.html','','width=255,height=360')" />
</map></div>
and it should be this:
<area shape="rect" coords="-24,-9,106,144" href="javascript:void()" onclick="MM_openBrWindow('gallery_bead1.html','','width=255,height=360')" />
</map></div>
If you fix the code on all your beads, it should work.

LabVIEW file browser can't see folders
I am using LabVIEW 7.0 on Sparc Solaris 2.6. I am using NFS to serve folders from a RHEL5 linux server. These folders contain my LabVIEW code, and I am mounting them on my Sparc Solaris workstation. When I open the LabVIEW file browser, some folders and files (but not all) appear to be missing. LabVIEW will open the files no problem if I type in the complete path. For example, when I navigate to directory A, there should be SubdirA and SubdirB, but SubdirB does not show up in the file browser. Yet, if I just type SubdirB in the text box, I can navigate to this directory no problem. Using my terminal, I can view these folders without issue. When I use the file browser on nedit, hotjava, tedit, image viewer, etc. I do not have this problem. It is only the LabVIEW file browser that has the problem. Can anyone tell me what this could be, and if there is anything I can do to fix it?
Solaris workstation hostname: stealth3
Linux server hostname: linux1
Shared (through NFS) folder directory on linux1: /share/ims_programs
mounted (through NFS) directory on stealth3: /mnt/ims_programs
The /mnt/ims_programs folder contains two subdirectories: production and certification. When using ls from the command line, both subdirectories are visible. In the same way, the file browser for graphical applications like nedit, tedit, hotjava, etc. can see both subdirectories. The LabVIEW file browser does not show one of the two. As best as I can remember, it showed certification but not production. Descending into the file structure, there are many cases like this, where existing files or folders are "hidden". When the exact same directory structure is copied to a Solaris server and shared with NFS, the LabVIEW browser can see everything. -
Does Flex HttpService support https with client authentication
Hi,
We have a set of backend services available over https with client auth (cert based). We need to use mxml HttpService to access these backend services. Does HttpService support ssl with client auth?
Another question is, for Https does flex share the browser keystore and certstore or uses its own?
Thanks,
DebashisYes , a flex HTTPService can access services on https://. But if I remember correctly , to use an https:// service , the swf has to be served on an https. Example ,
Served from https:// ... --> Can access https:// ...
Served from https:// ... --> Can acess https:// ...
Served from https:// ... --> CANNOT access https:// ...
Served from https:// ... --> CANNOT access https:// ...
Since Flex has the browser do the connecting , the browser handles the keystore stuff , not Flex. I think. -

HTTPS:\\ webserive call without passing certificate string
We are using HTTPS:\\ web service call from our one of the procedure.
When I did research, I found that, we can't call HTTPS:\\ web service without passing certificate.
My question is, how should I take care for situation where certificate got expired and need to replace certification.
I need some alternate way, where there is no need to pass certificate or no need to pass file path as well...Hello,
There was a similar question asked in our alternate forum, see: Access https URLs - SQLA Forum. Currently, certificates are specified manually. We have made an enhancement request for SQL Anywhere web clients to potentially use the OS Certificate store instead, in future versions.
So in summary, currently you will need to either replace the certificate, or provide an alternate certificate by specifying the certificate string in the stored procedure definition directly:
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE ...
CERTIFICATE '-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- ... -----END CERTIFICATE-----'
Notably, MobiLink clients can currently use the (Windows or Android) operating system store for certificates if trusted_certificates is not specified at all.

Hi,
We have started installing OWB at our site and I managed to install Design & runtime repos. I am trying to enable the Design browser client. But hitting problems.
While installing Design repos, I have not mentioned any Port number. We have Oracle 9.2 database running on Windows 2000.
My HTTP Server is running and so OC4J.
When I give this, http://localhost:7778:owb_mahesh/, it does nothing. while I replace 7778 with 7777 it immediately comes out with an error. I tried 7779 and i get the same error.
When I initiate Browser from OWB Program menu, it tries to open the browser client with address - http://127.0.0.1:8999/owbb/DBLogin.uix.
Any guidence is really helpful.
Many Thanks
maheshHi Mahesh,
I'm guessing your port is 7778 (you can find that in the file: <Oracle_home_DB>\Apache\Apache\conf\httpd.conf.
Hope this helps,
Jean-Pierre
