Labview shuttin down while trying to Build EXE

Hello,
I am trying to develop a program using LabVIEW 8.0 and when I am trying to build exe the Entire LabVIEW software is getting closed. There hadn't been any such problem till now and I had even made EXE files of the same program many times earlier.. Can anyone help me in finding out a solution for this.

Does the CPU goes to a 100% while you build the installer? Also doe isclose abruptly (may it says not responsding)
Why dont you try calling your local NI representative and explain the situation ?

I have tryed to open the files and runned them with Shift+Ctrl, I allsow tryed to Mass Compile the files in the simulation folder. but this dosent seem to help.
I don't understand what I should do to fix the help files, anybody who knows?
The problem accures when I am using the VI Array Max & Min PtByPt.

While trying to build a dll I revive an error

I succeed to build the dll on one computer, but when I am trying to build the same code on other computer I receive the attached error.

It is recommended by NI to install LV2009_SP1. It has fixed many issues. Here is the link to NI LabVIEW 2009 Service Pack 1

Imac shuts down while trying to boot up

My imac was running pretty bad on and of for most of the day. I decided to shut down and start up in safe mode. It got as far as white screen with apple logo and dial spinning. I left it for about 20 mins and nothing was happening. I shut down tried the same thing again... Still nothing after about 20 mins. I tried booting from the osx disc. I can here it reading the disc but after few minutes it just shuts down on its own. Has my hard disc finally died?

You can try creating a clone backup of your drive so you don't loose your data, but it sounds like a replacement drive is required.
Both of these applications can be used to create a clone. You will need an external drive to make the clone.

Acorbat 9 Pro shutting down while trying to save

When trying to save PDF doc's acrobat , I browse to folder I want (this can be anywhere on PC ) and the program shuts down without errors of any kind . Anyone have any idears . I have re-installed , cleared registry of all keys etc etc , thx

Have you updated your VISTA or Acrobat? Is it a 32 or 64 bit system? I am running VISTA, 32-bit, SP2 on this machine. I suspect that updating the OS and Acrobat may solve your problems. AA9 is at 9.4.4.

How do I get a firefox page to scroll down while trying to copy content

Previously, when using Google (via Mozilla) I was able to copy something from say ...Wikipedia, by highlighting and scrolling down through a few pages to gather the content I needed.
Now it only scrolls to the bottom of the first page as far as my task bar line...then I have to go back & copy the next section to the task bar line...etc
What has happened to the old way?

I was not able to replicate this, both:
# left mouse button hold + mouse movement down;
# left mouse button hold + scroll wheel down;
work and are highlighting the contents, when you reach the end of page, the scroll bar moves respectively and you can continue highlighting...
Also if you want to highlight the whole page, try: ctrl+a

How do you get Internet Explorer 9 from shutting down while trying to print from Smart Print button?

I'm using Internet Explorer 9, and have the latest Smart Print button on my Bing Bar. When I click on Smart Print to print a page, it lets me go through the entire process of choosing what I want to print, and lets me click on print, which brings me to the print options, but when I click on the final print button, I get a Microsoft error message saying "Internet Explorer has stopped working" message and it closes down my opened page. How do I print if I keep getting this message?

IdeaPad U330 shows a blue screen and then shuts down while trying to Backup using onekey recovery

I have a brand new Lenovo IdeaPad U330 2267-58U preloaded with Windows XP Professional. After I installed some application software I tried to use the Onekey Recovery (from the Start menu) to create a backup of my system partition (C drive) for the first time. For backup mode I chose "Full backup" and for Compression Type I chose "Quick compression" (I tried the no compression option and it didn't work either). I then clicked the "Next" button and left everything unchanged as the default setting (backup location set to the D: drive). As soon as I clicked the "next" button, and then the "start" button, the screen turns blue and the system reboots. The system then reboots with the blue disck-checking screen.
Any fix to this problem?? I haven't been able to create any back up for my system or create a recovery disc so far.

External hard drive keeps shutting down while trying to capture footage

I keep losing footage because my lacie hardrive has started dissconnecting itself while i'm in capture mode.
when i try to reconnect it won't allow me to open the project i'm working on.
i have never had a problem with the external drive before, i have checked my settings in FCE and they show the external drive as my scratch disc.
i have recently upgrade to quicktime pro 7....is there a compatibility issue?

Is it unmounting from the computer? Was it correctly erased and reformatted when you first got it? It sounds as if the drive may be failing, or the cable is bad, or the enclosure has a problem. The bridge chip may be failing, which is not uncommon, though once they're gone they're gone and don't come back without removing the drive form the case.

LabVIEW is crashing when i am trying to build the exe

I am trying to build an executable from a program in which i am communicating with several instruments, whenever i am trying to build an exe labview is crashing and i am getting the error Exception: access violation(0xc0000005)at eip=0x10054DD1.
after reading some posts on forum i tried builduing an exe on other system also, but still i am getting the same error.

That being said I would try to disable the large amount of code. Say you have a Main that launches a bunch of stuff, put a disabled diagram code around the launching part and then try to rebuild. It is a very slow process (especially when the build takes a while to fail) but by doing this you can more isolate the parts of the code that can cause the crash. The only time I've seen a crash on build like you described, I simply rebooted and it was fine. Usually because of my own fault by stopping code in a bad way previously leaving things in memory.

Labview 12.0 Crashes while trying to open a VI

Hi,
I've got a problem while opening a file. I did not have any problem opening it like five minutes ago. I tried to reboot the computer and shut down labview couple of times.
The labview 12.0 crashed and left me a message attached. And the problem VI is also attached.

If you have a back up copy of the vi I would suggest going back to that. The vi and error message would indicate that you got what was refered to as an "insane" error, where LabVIEW lost track of some "connections" in the vi. This results in a corrupted vi which can't be loaded.
As was alluded to, a 1Mb+ size vi is pretty large, which, at least in the old days of LabVIEW, would increase the chances of getting "insane errors". If it is possibly to encapsulate some of the code in sub-vi's it might also help.
Sorry I can't fix the vi you had, most of us who have been using LabVIEW for a while have experienced this, good luck.
