Language Code in DTW 2005

I'm using the new version of DTW Version 2005.0.3 and
API version 6.80.123.
When i want to use the different language codes (8 for German, 3 for English UK, ...), the DTW doesn't translate the language code and it puts the value for all the records in the default language value of the company.
Am i using the wrong values or what ?
thanks for helping me

Mario,
Did you test this behavior in Business One itself, ie., if in the Business One user interface it is set to use a default language of English and you do not have the "Multiple Language Support" flag turned on in Administration > System Initialization > Company Details > Basic Initialization, then you would only be allowed the default language in the Business One user interface as well as coming in through the DTW.  If this is the case in Business One where you are only being allowed the default language and this setting is not turned on, then the DTW for 2005A uses and follows the same rules as the DI API itself.
Hope this helps,
Eddy

  • How to display the 'language code' for language dependent 'Short text' ?

    Hi,
    I am new to BW.
    Can somebody help me with the following issue?
    I have an attribute 'Material category description'  and I chose short text exists and made it language dependent. I had loaded the master data successfully.
    Now I want to know how to check the 'language code' for this material category description. When I display the data, will the language code display by defalult?
    I had checked the text table using SE11
    It displays the following fields over there.
    /BIC/TS1_MCT_DS   [  /BIC/TS1(InfoObject name)  ]
    LANGU
    TXTSH
    I appreciate your help!
    Thank you
    Sekhar

    Dinesh,
    I went to RSD1 -> info-object -> Master Data/text tab. It shows my language selections there (Short text selected, language time dependent etc.) with everything grayed out.
    In SE16, I could display the data in the following format.
    /BIC/ST_PRID                TXTSH                 TXTMD
    P01                                   umbrella                 rainyday
    P02                                  tent                         waterproof
    etc.
    I want to see the 'language code' as one of the columns in this table.
    Can you help me do that?
    Thank you,
    Sekhar

  • Get Locale country and language codes

    I have checked the documentation, but nothing is jumping out
    at me. Is there a function that returns the locale country and
    language codes? GetLocale() returns the "locale name as it is
    represented in ColdFusion":
    ie:
    English (US)
    Spanish (Standard)
    What I am looking for is the
    ISO
    codes
    en US
    es ES
    I can get the information using getPageContext(), but just
    wondered if I was overlooking a built-in CF function.

    ...hmm this didn't go thru on the 16th. let me try again.
    that should only be for the "traditional" cf supported
    locales (backwards
    compatibility is always foremost in the cf team's minds), the
    rest should be in
    normal java style locale ID (th_TH, ar_AE, etc).
    no, there's nothing built-in in cf for what you want. you'll
    have to dip down
    into java:
    <cfscript>
    localeObj=createObject("java","java.util.Locale");
    locales=localeObj.getAvailableLocales();
    writeOutput("<table border='1'>");
    writeOutput("<tr align='center'><td
    colspan='2'>Locale</td><td>Language</td><td>Country</td></tr>");
    for (i=1; i LTE arrayLen(locales);i=i+1) {
    thisLocale=locales
    thisLanguage=thisLocale.getLanguage();
    thisCountry=thisLocale.getCountry();
    writeOutput("<td>#thisLocale.toString()#</td><td>#thisLocale.getDisplayName()#</td><td>#t hisLanguage#</td><td>#thisCountry#</td></tr>");
    writeOutput("</table>");
    </cfscript>
    note that this snippet doesn't show variants (eg. th_TH_TH)
    & shows language
    only locales (en, fr, etc.), nor is it sorted in any order i
    can recognize. also
    keep in mind that what this shows depends on the server's JRE
    version. if you
    want a "better" source of locales, use the icu4j lib's
    ULocale class. it's based
    on the latest CLDR & contains way more locales (and they
    actually tend to fix
    locale bugs in your lifetime).

  • Build Cancelled due to Language Code

    My build is canceling during the initial compiler phase stating " Language cods for 'English' and 'English-2' must differ "
    Please advise!

    Is there a "language code virus" on the loose?
    This has been answered several times the last few days.
    Look in the outline tab, You will find that you have two language flags set to the same language. Delete the second one, or if you are actually using two languages - change the language for flag nr. 2.

  • Googling for Apple answers - Language code supplied is invalid

    When I Google for problems, many times an Apple Kbase article is listed in the search results. However, when I click on the link, I'm asked to log into support.apple.com (WHY??? - that is idiotic, if the Google cache has the answer, why do you need to know who I am to show it to me?)
    When I enter my username and password, the only response is "Language Code supplied is invalid." There is no way around this unless you dig the kbase article code out of the link and then login, and then search Apple for the article number.
    Can someone assist me on this?

    Example:
    I go to http://www.apple.com/support/snowleopardserver/
    I click on Setup and Administration, and see the two links and the discussions are not what I want. I click on See all Setup and Administration articles <http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search&src=support_site.psp.snowleopard .more&q=Setup%20and%20Administration>.
    I get taken to the login page and get the error. At no point do I have an option to select a language.

  • Recommended Dimension language code approach matching SEO/ISO standards?

    Hi All,
    I noted that some language codes are alluded to in the developer guide for configuring Dimensions, but are not listed in their entirity.
    - en_US (US English)
    - de_DE (German)
    - de_CH (Swiss German)
    - de_AT (Austrian German)
    Is there a defined standard for these which allows successful use of the values with the various SEO meta tags and ISO language codes?
    <html lang="en">
    <meta http-equiv="content-language" content="en, fr">
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="es" href="http://es.example.com/" />
    E.g. Some combination of ISO 639 http://www.seoconsultants.com/meta-tags/language
    Thanks

    Found out.... ISO 693 two character language code and ISO 3166 country code groupings as defined by RFC 4646.

  • Creating a new custom language code?

    Hi!
    What would be the process to create a new custom language code to MDMP enabled SAP (6.20)? And the same question for a Unicode system ECC6.0?
    The new language (let's call it ZZ) would be an exact copy of Chinese language ZH.
    As far as I have understood, the requirement is to maintain different Chinese material descriptions and tax rates for the same material in different Chinese customs areas. Standard SAP doesn't support this it seems. So, ZH would be used for custom area 1 and ZZ for customs area 2. Each with their own descriptions and tax rates.
    Solution-wise I appreciate any good tips but if we really  have to go down to this "second Chinese language" path I'd like to know how big a task it is.

    Hi,
    in a Non-Unicode system, SAP notes 112065 and 302063 describe possibilities to use additional language keys.
    In a Unicode system, SAP note 73606 (attachment supportedlanguages2.xls) shows all supported language keys.
    However these additional language keys enable you to maintain additional descriptions (e.g. for display or printing).
    But in general it is not possible to enable different tax rates depending on language keys.
    This sounds rather like a localization requirement. For this area there are usually other attributes which can be used (like e.g. company code).

    Nils Buerckel

  • Language codes for 'english' and 'english-2' must differ?

    I am trying to build my project but as I do I get the following pop up: Compiler: Language codes for 'english' and 'english-2' must differ. What do I need to change?

    You have added a language to your project which you don't need. Look in the outline view at the bottom for the folder called langauges, then delete the second one. Both will be English and this cannot be the case on a DVD - the player will not know which assets to use on a menu if there are two langauges the same.
    The languages are used when you want to create a disc that will display the correct menu backgrounds when used in players in different countries - the DVD player settings will have a language set up, and the DVD will use the appropriate language files to construct the menus accordingly.

  • XI:  Call same RFC with different language codes?

    Hello all!
    I have a unique situation where I need to use XI call an RFC twice, but each call will use a different language code.
    I've created 2 receiver determinations and interface determinations.  I've also created 2 communication channels, one for each language code, but the problem is that I cannot create a second receiver agreement to point to the second communication channel.
    Anybody know how I can accomplish this?

    Hi,
    I would like to sugget you to use only one channel and create an extra parameter for the language on your function module. Then, you can specify the language everytime you need to call it.
    regards.

  • Premiere Elements 11 silent installation language code parameter?

    Documentation instructions (see below for Premiere 10) followed. Still prompting users for Country/Region when installing with the /UL1033 parameter. Did Premiere 11 shelve this? Is there another way to pre-select the country/region? Installs perfectly otherwise. Thanks for any help.
    To start the installation, right mouse click the Windows “Command Prompt” utility, select “Run as administrator” and navigate to the location containing the OEM.exe file. Type the following line with the appropriate modifications:
        start/wait OEM.exe /UL%LangCode% /V“SERIALNUMBER=%Adobe volume license serial number%”
    Replace %LangCode% with the appropriate four-digit language code:
    Brazilian Portuguese= 1046
    Chinese Simplified= 2052
    Czech= 1029
    Dutch= 1043
    English= 1033
    French= 1036
    German= 1031
    Italian= 1040
    Japanese= 1041
    Polish= 1045
    Russian= 1049
    Spanish= 1034
    Swedish= 1053
    Turkish= 1055
    Replace %Adobe volume license serial number% with your 24-digit Adobe volume license serial number.
    Note: Be sure to include the dashes in the serial number.
    Example: If the path to your OEM.exe file is C:\ Adobe Premiere Elements 10/Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - 64 Bit\, your language is English and your Adobe volume license serial number is 1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111, then your command is
    C:\ Adobe Premiere Elements 10/Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - 64 Bit> start/wait OEM.exe /UL1033 /V"SERIALNUMBER=1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111."

    jaojr1962,
    /UL1033 parameter is for setting the uninstall language and not for setting the country. So, the country dialoue would come on launch.
    Adobe gives out these instructions to its OEM/enterprise users. If you're an OEM or an enterprise user of PSE/PRE, could you please contact Adobe through your respective point of contact? Adobe would be able to provide you a solution which you'd be able to use to avoid the country selection dialogue if you pre-configure it correctly.
    thanks.

  • Error importing oBusinessPartners with DTW 2005.0.16

    I can not import BusinessParters with DTW 2005.0.16. For objects like Items ... it works as usual. With oBusinessPartners the Source data is shown empty, resulting in 0 imports and in 0 errors. If I open the dialog "Maintain Interface" to see the field database, it is empty within the oBusinessPartners.
    How can I correct this?
    Thanks
    Franz

    hi all,
    Franz is right with his interpretation: It is about participating in the Ramp-up program for SAP Business One 2007 A:
    Customer upgrade projects will not be able to participate in the 2007 A Ramp-Up if PL23 (or higher) on SAP Business One 2005 A SP01 have been applied. This is because Enhancement Package content has been introduced with PL23 which, due to compliance rules that SAP must follow, SAP can only add to SAP Business One 2007 A once this new release has been assigned general availability status.
    Necessary details for SAP partners can be checked at (as previously mentioned in this thread):

  • Language codes used by itunes

    Hi
    I was wondering if anyone has a full list of language codes used by iTunes.
    For example if I go to this link https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/mcafee-security/id724596345?ls=1&mt=8 I get to the German page because of the DE in the link .
    I want to change this DE part to other countries - eg France = FR (works) Italy =(IT) works etc.
    But I cant figure out the language code for languages like Greek and Traditional Chinese for example - EL, GR,GK ,TW, HK ,CT wont work.
    Thanks for the help
    Mike

    Look at http://www.apple.com/choose-your-country/
    There is no guarantee that every app is available in every country, or even that every country has its own iTunes/app store.
