Language module

Hi, I've developed a TCL language module for Brazilian country, in previous releases of 12.3T it works fine but in newer releases I can't make it work. In Cisco documentation I see that now to load an external TCL language module I have to use the package language command in application configuration mode, but when I try to configure that in a Cisco AS5350MX with IOS 12.4T it don't have this option. The only way is like this.
application
service ivr tftp://tftpserver/ivr.tcl
paramspace spanish index 2
paramspace english language en
paramspace english index 1
paramspace spanish language sp
paramspace brazil prefix br
paramspace english prefix en
paramspace spanish prefix sp
paramspace brazil index 3
package brazil tftp://tftpserver/br_translate.tcl
param prefix br
param language br
param index 3
Why I can't do that TCL language module work? And why I can't use the package language command that I see in documentation?
Thanks,

  • Indesign: language modules; link to a database

    I would like to create a catalogue in different languages. Is there a tools/function for Indesign to create a module for each language?
    Is it possible to link an Indesign file to a database?

    I'd suggest that you tell us a lot more about your project if you want the "best solution." At the current level of detail, I'd say "job it out to a translation firm."
    InDesign by itself cannot be populated directly by database content. You'd either need to export something from the database that InDesign can handle (XML or CSV or XLS, each with advantages and limitations) or you'd need to expand InDesign's capabilities with a third-party tool like InCatalog. There are many such tools.
    Different versions of InDesign have varying degrees of support for non-Latin scripts. Once again, depending on your version of ID and your target languages, you may need to expand InDesign's capabilities in this area with third-party tools like, say, World Tools (my personal favorite).
    Lastly - if you have in-house expertise in a scripting language, you may be able to do all of the above with scripting.

  • Multi language module templates

    Hi BC Forum
    Just wanted to hear if anybody have had the same issue that i am facing.
    A client of mine wants a multilanguage website (Danish/English), and i told him that this was not a problem.
    We've done this many times before, and i've encountered this problem before, but since it is not a HUGE problem i've lived
    with it this far, but now i wanted to know if anybody else have solved this in a smart way.
    The client wants an event calendar, no worries, i input the module and it all works great. Then i go to "Event layouts" to set up
    the Detail layout of the module and then i remember that i cant do this in multiple languages. If you make more domains and select
    different countries for them you have the possiblity to make different "templates" in for example "System pages" but not in the module templates.
    Like i said, it is not a HUGE problem because 99.9% of the danish population will understand it if i make it in english, but earlier on i have made
    sites with up to 7 different languages, and thats hard to explain the client that they all need to have the english "template" when they for example wants to sign
    up for a event or something like that.
    An it is hard to explain the client that we can make a multiple language website but somewhere it will have to be in english.
    It seems a bit strange to them and i understand them.
    Anybody have a good solution to this?
    From my point of view i think it is to bad that the system doesn't give you the possibility of doing this, or am i just missing something?

    Yes, the problem with the help pages is that you have to know what the software developers call the feature otherwise you often can't find it. Glad you're sorted.

  • Adding language module

    i bought a smart phone s-60 platform with pre installed asian languages i would like to add an additional language that was not installed at manufucture ,somebody suggest how to go about this .

    hi
         According to me you have to load the module using moduleloader component that loads your swf which is the outcome of your module.so first
    just run your module file by making it as a default application after that check wether Swf of that module is created.then load that swf on ur module loader.After that u can run ur flex application and ur module automatically loaded.

  • Tibetan Language publishing problem

    Hi,
    I meet a problem.
    I'm in China. We created some E-learning modules using PowerPoint, initially in simplified Chinese language. We published them either locally (to the local computer) or to the Connect Pro server, the final published document displayed without problems.
    Now, the original PPT module files had been translated to Tibetan language (see the 1st picture in the below).
    I try to publish those Tibetan modules to my own computer recently. However, after the publishing process, the index.htm (the window that should display) did not show the contents as I expected. I just see the Adobe Presenter icon on that page, seems it is trying to display, but in the initial loading process endlessly (see the 2nd picture in the below).
    I tried several modules, only the first one of them works but others go to the problem I mentioned above.
    I used Presenter 8 to publish the PPT files.
    I Emailed a previous colleague of me, who is a very clever Yankee. He replied the font (Tibetan) may not be supported by presenter. But I'm bewildered - why I published the 1st Tibetan language module, and successfully see the results? Did I just accidentally succeed?
    Here is the last message he sent to me:
    Yes, the font might only present a problem for certain characters, I think presenter 7 would probably be worse in this regard (but who knows?), I don't have PowerPoint or presenter on my computer and so can't actively diagnose, sorry =(  I'm sure you can get a handle on it though - try looking at your browser's JavaScript console when it tries to load, it might give you some hints!
    By default, when I chose "view output after publishing", Internet Explorer would be used as the showing screen. And I may not have the intention to change into another browser. He mentions the JavaScript setting of the browser, I'm still not sure what he pointed to.
    Can anyone tell me how to display published Tibetan PowerPoints? Or, Tibetan language is not supported by Presenter indeed?
    Thank you

    I tried to delete some slides and publish the PPT, I find the cause is focused on some slides from 11-14. (I've tried to delete some slides from the beginning, the publishing results were all fail)
    In the process of deleting some slides from the PPT, voice files may be deleted automatically by the Presenter itself, but I don't think it was the voice file that created this problem.
    Delete and publish            Publishing results

    s11, s12                                 Fail

    s11, s13                                Fail
    s11, s14                                Fail
    There are 15 slides of this module in total. I have included the pictures of s11, s13, s14 here.
    Would you like to diagnose this issue, if I send this module presentation to you via Email? Could you leave an Email address or message your Email address to me?
    And, after I identified those slides that may causing this problem, I found them (s11, s13, s14  see the list above) maybe not necessary for local publication, since we do not intend to publish those modules to a Connect server and collect answering statistics. So the option for us is to delete those three slides and do the local publication.
    But if you have interest, I would send you the presentation file, and you can take a look.

  • Code snippets? embedding other languages

    going to probe some of you for some information:
    I'm looking for some code snippets to load, into a c program, another language module, and execute a function by name...
    any language will do, I'm just looking for a point of reference...
    if possible, and you know how, I'd like to know how to convert a simple native type in the language, to a C struct...
    i'll make up a language to demonstrate what I'm looking for:
    # !/usr/bin/env phrak
    #phrak-script
    string hello_whirled()
    string s = "hello";
    return s + " whirled";
    #include <phrak-script.h>
    phrakscript_init();
    phrakscript* s = phrak_script_load("test.phrak");
    phrakscript_obj* o = s->get_symbol("hello_whirled");
    if(o->is_callable())
    std::cout << o->call().to_string();
    phrakscript_free_obj(o);
    phrakscript_free(s);

    no, the scripting language was a demo... I'm not writing one...
    Right now I'm going to work on an indepth module framework... the core of the WM is pretty easy, if I have it conceptualized correctly... it's not hard to make a C/C++ only module framework, but I'd like to understand how one accesses external languages so I can design it properly...
    right now, I'm torn between the following styles of "linking" modules to the core:
    apache style: precisely named C structures which contain function pointers
    xchat style: precisely named functions, loaded individually
    misc ideas: one single "switch" type function which calls the appropriate module function (??)
    basically, before I finalize the "glue", I'd like to know if that glue is extensible...

  • Nextel 8350i how to add Thai language?

    Hi all,
    I'm a newbie here. I've been searching the internet and blackberry support for Thai language support for BB 8350i. From what I understand by reading BB support website( Link http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB17208&slic..., I have to download the BB desktop software for particular carrier (Nextel) and it should have an options for "East Asian Language" which supposedly included Thai. But when I download it doesn't have that options to select Thai Language.
    My question is,
    1. Is there another way to atleast make my BB to read thai?
    2. Is it possible to download a 8350i driver from Thailand BB? The only think I'm concern is the direct connect feature from Nextel that I'm not quite sure that the driver from Thailand will work with direct connect here.
    This might sound a little bit confusing but hopefully someone knows how to do this
    Thanks in advance!
    XD

    Nextel is the only carrier of the 8350i in the WORLD.
    The current OS is version 4.6.1.83 which you can download from here.
    If you don't find the language options you need there, you're out of luck as there is no other device  which is running that OS.
    The language modules have to be an exact version match for the OS.  The only other device running OS 4.6.1 is the 8900, but there's no version 4.6.1.83 available for that.

  • Installation process of BOBJ EDGE BI 3.1 on HP UNIX 11.31

    Hi all,
    Greetings!
    I am stuck with the installation process of BOBJ EDGE BI 3.1 on HP UNIX. In my service market place I find the BOBJ EDGE BI 3.1 Installation only for the environments LINUX and WINDOWS.
    Does this mean that the BOBJ Software for EDGE BI (Enterprise) is only available for LINUX and WINDOWS machines and not for HP UX machines?
    But I do find the installation documents in SAP marketplace for SAP BOBJ EDGE BI 3.1 on HP UNIX.
    I find the following packages in my service marketplace,
    Address Directories
    SBOP CATEGORIZER WORKBENCH LANGUAGE MODULES
    SBOP EDGE BI
    SBOP EDGE INTEG. FOR SAP SOL.
    SBOP INTGR. FOR SAP
    SBOP MOBILE

    BOBJ INTGR. FOR SAP XI 3.0
    Enterprise Query, Reporting, and Analysis package
    BOBJ INTGR. FOR SAP XI 3.0
    BOBJ XCELSIUS ENTERPRISE 2008
    Visualization and Reporting package
    Could you please help me in solving my issue with installing the Business Objects Enterprise on HP UNIX 11.31 u2013 IA64 machine, and please mention the list of softwareu2019s (SAP Media) to be downloaded from SAP.
    Awaiting your response at the earliest.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    SAP BOBJ EDGE BI 3.1 is indeed only available for Windows and Linux.
    I would suggest to create an OSS message ([http://service.sap.com/support]) requesting access to SAP BOBJ ENTERPRISE XI 3.1.

  • Which files can I safely delete in my Pictures Folder/ iPhoto Library

    Hello
    Thanks in advance for any advice on the following. I am trying to free up some space on my Macbook Pro hard drive. In the Pictures/ iPhoto Library folder, I seem to have a lot of duplicates. At this folder level, I have series of sub folders with years 2002-2006 listed, and there is also a folder titled data, which also has subfolders 2002-2006. Can I safely delete one set of folders without losing my pictures?
    Thank you
    Jonathan

    Johnathan:
    In a word, NONE. Those are all necessary item for the operation of the library. Those files in the Originals folder are obviously the originals. Those in the Data folder are the thumbnails iPhoto uses to display in the main library window. The Modified files are those that you've editied, rotated, etc. To do any moving, renaming or editing of files directly from the folder is tantamount to committing the cardinal sin of iPhoto: Don't tamper with files in the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder.
    What with the low cost of external FW HDs, they are a very cost effective way to protect and preserve important files. As you may know it's recommended to have a minimum of 10G free space for optimum performance of the system and applications. More if possible. You can use Monolingual to remove any language module you don't need (be sure not to select English or American English and DO NOT run any of the Architecture items). I saved nearly 900MB the first time I ran it.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How can I combine originals, modified, and data files?

    I just ran into a huge problem.
    I have about 33,500 pictures, and my startup disk is beyond full.
    I all of a sudden realized that I have three copies of every single picture I have. One in the modified folder, one in the originals folder, and another in the data folder.
    I need to clear out space, but I don't want to go through and delete/save each and every single picture. I want to save one copy of each picture. I'd like the modified pictures to combine with the originals into the file group they were originally in.
    I hope this makes sense, and I need help.
    I need to delete some of these pictures but I don't want to have to do it one by one, and I don't want to delete entire folders. (e.g. I don't want to have to delete all my originals, modified, etc. etc.)
    For future reference:
    Is there anyway I can import pictures, edit them, and only have one copy of the edited picture? Do I have to then go in and delete the original every single time I do that?
    S.O.S!
    Please help!
    thank you,
    -A lost girl named Jenn from Michigan.

    Jenn:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions and Go Blue! First, let me discuss free space on the boot drive. It's strongly recommended to have a minimum of 10 GB free space on your boot drive. This is important if you want optimal performance. One way to regain free space is to run Monolingual to remove the unneeded language modules. Just don't remove the English module (I also kept the American english module). I saved 2 GB the first time I ran it on my MacBook Pro (intel). Do not run any of the other options, particularly if you have an intel model.
    Now, back to the library. Just getting of some photos may not be enough to give you sufficient free space but you can do some. Except for portrait photos that came from a camera with the auto-rotate option, you can get rid of all your modified files by doing a library wide Photos->Revert to Original. Those auto-rotated files will be recreated again.
    If the budget permits, as external FW HD is a very cost effective insurance against losing those irreplaceable photos and other critical files. With an external HD you can create a second library on it and copy those photos you want to save but remove from your original library with iPhoto Library Manager like this.
    Or, put those photos you want to remove from the library but not get rid of entirely in an album and burn them via the Share->Burn menu option. That will create a disk, CD or DVD, that can be mounted in iPHoto to view and/or copy back those that you might need at a later date.
    Note: the demo video are for iPhoto 7 but is the same for iPhoto 6.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Error message when importing?? help!!!!

    the past three times i've imported pictures to my iphoto i get this error message:
    "The following images could not be imported - they may be an unrecognized file type or the file may not contain vaild data
    /private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/iPhoto/MG0248.CR2

    does that mean my card is bad?
    last time when i plugged my card in again it found the files that it didnt import last time but i can't always get them...???
    strange??
    I read on another board where I asked this question that someone told me my card was bad... I bought a new card and last night (the FIRST time I've used it) at the end of my importing it gave me that message again on the last 2 images.... does that mean my brand new card is bad too??? I formated the new card as soon as i put it in my camera too..
    my other thought was that my hard disk was almost full -- maybe it was to do with that?? (i had 4000 images on here, i removed 1000 this morning.. and will be doing the rest later...)
    what would that error have to do with??? my sandisk card reader? my iphoto or computer? or the card itself?
    anyone have any ideas??
    thanks...

    If your HD free space gets down around 1G you will start having slowdowns and other problems. You'll get a system warning at about 500MB. It's strongly recommended you maintain a minimum of 10G free space. More if you can do so. The system and applications require adequate free space for cache abd VM swap files.
    To regain some real estate on your HD you and use Monolingual to remove the unneeded language modules. On my new MBP I recovered 2.4G of space the first time I ran it.
    When you post it would be very helpful if you'd include information on your setup like model, system version, application version, HD size and free space, RAM, etc. That will allow us to better assess your issues right off the bat.

  • Trying to backup iPhoto pics from Time Machine

    I need some serious help figuring out how to get my photos onto CDs for backup purposes.
    BACKGROUND: My laptop is running out of space, causing programs to run slowly. The Mac Genius at the local Apple store recommended I clear up space by cleaning up my iPhoto library which has photos dating back several years. Because I have the entire hard drive backed up on my external hard drive and accessible through Time Machine, here is what I did:
    1. Deleted all Events prior to 1/08, thus keeping only 2 years of photos on my laptop. As a result, the available memory was barely affected since--as I discovered--this only moved the photos to the iPhoto trash.
    2. So I started "restoring" events one by one and moving them to a folder on my desktop so I could burn CDs as backup.
    PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED:
    1. All photo information (time & date stamp) has been lost in this process.
    2. Restoring photos one album or event at a time is time consuming and causing photos to take up double the space! Running out of memory really fast!
    So, I deleted all the photos (4,000 of them) from my iPhoto trash.
    NEW PROBLEM: Yes, I can restore photos from the Time Machine (which means they import to today's iPhoto Library), but when I try to copy them from iPhoto into the desktop folder to burn a CD, the program tells me the photos have been deleted and they cannot be moved out of iPhoto!!!
    Okay, so how do I create a CD backup of my photos? It's all well and good that I have these photos on an external hard drive, but how do I actually use them in the future? If I want to print out these photos or share them with others, how will I be able to actually "get them"???
    Is there a way to burn a CD directly from Time Machine? Will it keep my photos in albums or events so as to easily sort them later?
    Please help! I'm terrified I have lost 3 years of our family history because of this! Also, I cannot use my iMovie program at all because there is not enough memory available.

    this only moved the photos to the iPhoto trash.
    Didn't you use the iPhoto->Empty Trash menu option to remove the photos from the library and the hard drive? (Deleting more that about 50 at a time can cause iPhoto to freeze).
    All photo information (time & date stamp) has been lost in this process
    To keep the metadata and other information the photos have to be exported out of iPhoto with the options to "Include title and keywords" and Location Information".
    Click to view full size
    If you want to export directly to a CD try using iPhoto to Disk. It will keep titles and such but I'm not sure about other metadata. Otherwise export each Event to a folder and burn that folder to disk in the Finder.
    You can recover some real estate on your boot drive by: using Monolingual to remove all of the language modules except English and American English. I freed up nearly 1 GB of space the first time I ran it. For optimum safety and performance at least 10 GB of free space (20GB if you use iDVD) should be available on the boot drive.
    With the low cost of external FW hard drives you can add a second external HD to the mix and run your full library off of it. Then add a smaller library with just the photos you might want to take with you if you travel with your MBP. You can use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to copy albums or events between libraries and keep all metadata, Faces and Places intact.

  • New folder in iphoto

    I created a new folder in iphoto to transfer some photos from the iphoto library.
    1. after transferring to the new folder why is the photo still in the library?
    2. why is it that when i delete the photo in the library, the same photo in the new folder is deleted too?
    3. how should i minimise the photos in the iphoto library then? because too many photos will slow down the start up of iphoto

    First, you should these two Apple KB documents, particularly the second one:
    iPhoto Library Description
    Don't tamper with files in the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder
    The folder you're creating (and showing up in the Source window) is called an album and is just an tool for organizing photos within iPhoto. It will only contain aliases to the real photos in the main library. Aliases take up very little disk space, about 4kb. You can delete a photo from an album without removing it from the library but, as you've found out, if you delete a photo from the main library all instances of that photo will be removed.
    To help speed up the startup of iPhoto keep all the rolls closed except when your working in iPhoto. To open or close all at the same time just Command or Option click on one roll and the all will either open or close.
    When you're working in iPhoto if your keep the size down, maybe no more that 5 per row, that will facilitate speedier operation. Also turn off the drop shadow option in iPhoto's preferences.
    By minimizing the photos if you mean deleting some to save HD space, about the only thing you can do is to use iPhoto Diet to remove the original file of those you've edited. The danger to that, however, is if you've cropped a file to a smaller size for a particular reason and you remove the original, you can never regain the full size file for other purposes. If the edit is only for red eye or something that does not change the size and you're absolutely satisfied with that version then removing the original would not be limiting.
    If you're looking to regain some real estate on your HD here's a couple of things you can do:
    1 - run either Cache Out, OnyX or Mac Sweeper to clean out the various cache and archived log files.
    2 - run DeLocalizer to remove the unneeded language modules. I saved 900+MB the first time I ran it. It will run under Panther.
    Good luck.
