Language problem while coping script.

Hi All,
i have copied an existing script(maintained in original language as France ) in same system and client.Now in copied script i need to change the original language to English langauage.Hw to accomplish this?

To Change the Original Language Of a Script:
Enter script name -> Enter language as France -> change -> Utilities -> convert original language -> change it France to EN -> now come out of the script and re-enter into script...

Problem while creating script form - lang EN is not available in client 800

Hi friends,
I getting a problem while creating a script form in SE71.
if I give the name of the script (zform1) and clicked on create then its giving an information message like " Form ZFORM1 language EN is not available in client 800".
But if I use this form in the abap program its giving stop message "Form ZFORM1 language EN is not active and has no errors" and the control is coming out of the program.
What could be the problem and how to solve it friends . Please help me.

Hi There,,
By default all the forms will be there in client 100, if you are using the exisiting form and making a Z copy of the same,, then first you will have to copy from the client 100 to 800.
If you are creating the form right from the scratch,, you will that message,,but need now worry about that..
go head and create the Zform, don't forget to activate the form, before calling in the driver program.
In the driver program,, call the function modules to invoke the form and activate the driver program as well. then you are all set/

I created new user on my new server from enterprise manager.
Exported user from the old server and imported in the new server.
i.e: from Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.0, I did
c:\>exp system/manager file=abc.dmp owner=abc
Then on the new server Release 9.2.0.1.0, I did
c:\>imp system/manager file=abc.dmp fromuser=abc touser=abc
I'm using Arabic Language on my both servers. NLS_LANG parameter on both the servers is AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252.
On both the servers I'm able to insert and select data in arabic.
However, after I export the data from old server to the new server, the arabic data comes in question marks.
If I create new table and insert arabic data on new server's user abc it is displaying well. Only the data which I exported and imported is not showing arabic.
On both old and new servers operating system is Windows XP.
I'm stuck with this problem. Anybody having any idea about how to solve this problem please help.

Let me be clear here. Storing Arabic data in a WE8MSWIN1252 database is not supported by Oracle and will lead to problems. You are incorrectly using the NLS_LANG to prevent proper conversion and your data appears to be okay when you use utilties like SQL*PLUS to view your data. When you write applications that don't rely on the NLS_LANG like JDBC thin driver for instance you will realize your data is in fact invalid. To migrate your database to a proper character set you can refer to this paper:

Problem while executing script in Toad - How to use '&' in the sql script ?

I have to execute sql script in toad. Sql script has one insert query in which one insert-value is 'USA & CAN'. When I executed the script in toad by pressing F5, I got a prompt window asking for the value if 'CAN' as it is after the &.
I tried using[b] {escape '\' } .... but could not resolve the problem.
Is there any solution or workaround to overcome this problem. I have thousands of records with such values and I have to use sql script only.

There is an option in TOAD to change this behaviour.
Look in VIEW/OPTIONS/SQL Editor/
Uncheck the box for "Scan statements for bound variables before execution".
In SQL*PLUS it would be SET SCAN OFF
(desupported version is SET DEFINE OFF)

Polish language problem while displaying in PDF

Hi
I have generated an OTF Spool in my system using Smartform in Polish Language.
The spool is good.
However when i try to convert the spool to PDF using RSTXPDFT4 , i get certain unrecognisable characters such as " ] "
can any one tell what reason would be for this as the spool is good but on conversion to PDF it goes like this.

Problem while recording script using Open script.

Installaled OpenScript 12.4,When I try to record a script getting the following error.
Cannot get a connection from the browser helper after 15 secounds.Do you want to continue
Using the thread available in the portal for the above issue followed the below steps
1). CLOSE OpenScript and all browser instances IE & FireFox
2). Run C:\OracleATS\OpenScript\UninstallBrowserHelpers
- Open Command Prompt, navigate to the OpenScript Install directory
(i.e.) cd C:\OracleATS\OpenScript
-Type: UninstallBrowserHelpers and hit Enter.
3). DELETEd the directory C:\OracleATS\OpenScript\Oracle IE toolBar
4). Run the script C:\OracleATS\OpenScript\InstallBrowserHelpers
Getting the following error
WebDom Browser Helper installation failed
Cannot save multiuser execution setting for Chrome plugin in registry under Key: :HKLM\software\MozillaPlugins\@oracle.com/npOPenscriptPlugin"
Environment: IE8
OATS:-12.4.0.2.129

Run the files as "Administrator" did the trick for me. Other wise you don't have the permission to write in the registry.

Language Problem while downloading

Hi,
I am downloading data of an internal table into a txt file using gui_download. The internal table contains data in Korean languare( Basically its a text).
After downloading, the data gets corrupted and we are getting ######### in place of korean text.

Where are you downloading it to WORD or TXT or EXCEL?
Does your system have Korean fonts Insatalled. Are you able to see Korean text in Word or Notepad ? Not in SAP.
You should have those fonts to see the text, it doesnt mean it is corrupted.
Check for available fonts on system.

Language problems while accessing Itunes Store...

I would appear to have a confused account setting but i don't know where to change it. How do display everything in english. Section titles and other portions of the display appear to be in spanish.

On the main iTunes Store page (accessible from any other store page by clicking on the "Home" icon in the top section of the iTunes Store), scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a drop down menu that will allow you to choose the correct country.
If the drop down is not readable, there will be a multicolored circle showing the flag of the current country selected. Click on that, and you will be able to click on the appropriate flag for your own country.

While downloading this message pops up:

Error while uploading script

I have to copy a script from one server to another. So I have sucessfully downloaded the script ZTEST on presentation server as test.txt ,by runnin the program RSTXSCRP. Now I am facing a problem while uploading it on another server. I give the object name as ZTEST, mode as IMPORT,
filepath as C:\Desktop\test.txt in the program RSTXSCRP and execute it. It gives message
Transport object FORM ZTEST OLANE HEADFORM ZTESTSAP is being processed
Language vector used: DE
Object successfully imported
but when I check in SE71 , the form does not exists.
so ppl kindly advice solution to this problem.

Please check where did you get terms in BOLD "Transport object FORM ZTEST OLANE HEADFORM ZTESTSAP is being processed"

You could just try changing your Input Sources under System Preferences>Language & Text:
But I kind of doubt that's going to work. It may be a hardware problem or a system problem. If you take it into Apple they might be able to determine which and might advise a reinstallation of System software. I would take it to an Apple Store or an AASP but, first, make sure that you have a backup just in case they suggest a clean install of the system.

To download such characteres you need to adjust code page to be used during export. You can review SAP note 73606 to identify which code page is required for this language

This type of error
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/naming/Context
will occur when the client program could not able to locate lib/j2EE.jar file.
So set the classpath correctly and make sure that you have correctly defined the JAVA_HOME environment variable in .bat script.
