Last() method  was not supported by "resultset type of TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY "

Hi all,
I got this exception
java.sql.SQLException: JZ0BT: The last() method is not supported for ResultSets of type TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY.
but while creating statement object i am dong like this
stmt = con.prepareCall(sql.toString(),ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE,
ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
then also it is giving the same exception.
my bean code is like this,
try {
//Dynamically get the row size for the o/p dataset
from result set
rs.last();
System.out.println(rs);
int numrows =rs.getRow();
can anyone help me out to get the total number of rows in Resultset
Thanks in advance
Ravi

There's no easy way to do it that I know of. All you can do is iterate through and count. - MOD

    Had a recent crash on my macbook, was previously using OS 10.6 I think. Restored from recent Time Machine backup and updated to OS 10.8.2 and now I cannot open Logic Pro 9. I get a 'No entry' Icon and a not supported on this type of Mac message. I cannot update either as anything up to 9.1.1 tells me I don't need it yet 9.1.2 tells me I need an eligable Logic Pro Version was not found in applications.
    All of my files are stored in a separate hard drive with only the actual app having been on my Macbook. Should I just reinstall?

    Hi
    To run Mouitain Lion you need to update Logic.
    For the updaters to work the Logic application must be:
    a) Within the Applications folder, and not in any sub-folder
    b) Named "Logic Pro" with no extra numbers or spaces

    Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file
    How do I fix this?

    That would probably be a question best taken up in on a site for Windows support questions. Not knowing anything about the movie you're trying to play, all I can suggest is to confirm that the format of the movie you wish to play is supported in your version of WMP. If it isn't, you'll either need to convert the movie or use some other player software.

  • The getBuiltInScopes method was not found

      I have an application that has worked for quite a while. I have made no changes to the code since the last time I used it. Basically, the code creates a zip file with input for an involved report. I used it in March of this year it worked fine. I've been assured by the gov't sysadmins and DBAs that nothing has changed, but I still get the attached error. Any ideas?    I have just heard from a friend who knows CF, that it could be a version issue.  I am currently running 8 and I believe he is running 10.   If this is an issue, is the solution somewhere on this site?   I do minimal CF and am at a loss.   The function that is throwing the error is when a button is clicked, a javascript routine is run which combines all the files requred for the zip file.   Yesterday, another application started throwing the error.  I haven't been through the code yet, but it is another button being clicked, and I'm sure, another javascript error.

    The SysAdmin sent me the application log:  Since it is a government site, I changed identifying things to XXXX  or xxxx.

  • 'Preview' app not supported on this type of Mac

    When I'm trying to launch the 'Preview' app (either from Launchpad, or by clicking any image/pdf file twice), the following message appears:
    You can't open the application "Preview" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.
    The last time it worked fine was two weeks ago. No new applications installed, no hardware changes. Restarting the Mac does not help. Disk utility permissions check done, permissions repaired.
    I can still launch the 'Preview' app by double-clicking Preview in
    /Applications/Preview/Contents/MacOS/
    (I have to click 'Show Package Contents' in the context menu of the 'Preview' app in Applications to see its content)
    The 'Preview' app is the only application with a white-grey prohibition sign on its icon. All the other applications work fine.
    Please help.

    Thanks, Drew Reece. This is the 'Get info' screenshot.
    I will try to reinstall the OS then.
    It is even funny how fragile the OS is. I guess the simple update to 10.9 have broken the 'Preview' app...
    UPDATE:
    I don't see a way to backup the OS w/o a TimeMachine. I would not like to change logical structure of the hard drive.

  • While trying to open iPhoto this message coming-You can't the application "iPhoto" because it is not supported on this type of Mac

    I recently upgraded my MacBook from Moutain Lion to Maverick.After upgrading I can not open the iPhoto.Whenever I try to open I get the message --You can't open the application "iPhoto" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.Tell me how to solve the problem?

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
    For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
    2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
    2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
    A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
    If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
    If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
    *Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

    One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
    iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

  • Photoshop CS6 is not supported on this type of Mac (2012 MacBook Air)

    Photoshop won’t launch on the latest MacBook Air 2012, OS 10.8.2, i7, 8GB. Installed the Adobe CS6 (Design/Web). All products work fine (although had to downgrade to Java6 to start Dreamweaver) but the PS icon is greyed out. When launching Photoshop CS6, I’m getting: You can’t open the application “Adobe Photoshop CS6” because it is not supported on this type of Mac”.

    No idea what  happend. I was installing the CS6 suite on a brand new MBAir. All software was fine, eg, DW, InDesign and so on. Only Photoshop failed. One strange thing was that the MBAir has Java 7 but when launching DW it asked me to install "newer" Java version (?). I did the SMC/PRAM reset. Then uninstalling and installing PS solved the issue.

  • I can't open Adobe Photoshop CS6 because it is not "supported" on my type of Mac

    For some reason after downloading Adobe Photoshop CS6 from the Creative Cloud it is saying that I cannot open the application because it is not supported by my type of Mac. Is there a way to resolve this? The Mac is on Mac OS X version 10.6.8 I thought that this was enough to run the cloud on. So I'm confused.

    Here is an Apple help article on this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3696.
    If Photoshop is saying it is "not supported" on your computer then unfortunately that is the situation. I would post in the Photoshop forum here http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/general if you have more questions or concerns. They will know all of the details about Mac hardware support for Photoshop.

  • You can't open the application "System Preferences.app" because it is not supported on this type of Mac

    All of the sudden my System Preferences in Mavericks has stopped working and I get the error message:
    You can't open the application "System Preferences.app" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.
    It was working fine before this, and I have run Permissions Repair, restarted to another partition and run Diskwarrior and TechTool Pro, but none of those has helped. Anyone have any ideas why this happened, and what I can do to fix it?

       "You can't open the application Safari because it is not supported on this type of Mac."
    I vaguely remember some capability to rollback any updates. Is this true?
    Where should I go from here?

    First you need to clear out some space on the startup volume. You should have at least 9 GB available. Then do as follows.
    If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it.

  • Java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients.

    We have some web services that run under OC4J 10.1.3.4. We have various JEE 'client' apps (JSF, servlets etc.) that use these web services. These JEE apps also run under OC4J.
    We started a migration project from oc4j to weblogic 10.3.2. In phase 1 we want to move these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic. In phase 2 we want to move the web services themselves to weblogic with adjustments to the JEE 'client' apps as needed.
    However we ran into an issue during this phase 1. Deploying these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic results in an error like this:
    java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients. If you are attempting to run an OC4J 10.1.3 JAX-RPC client in WLS, please see the Web Service Migration Guide for instructions.
    We are including Oracle web services client libraries (http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/1013/wsclient_extended.zip) in these JEE 'client' apps's war files because weblogic does not have them.
    What part of Web Service Migration Guide is the above error message talking about? Do we have to re-generate the client side proxies for all these web services using weblogic's clientgen task in 'JAXRPC' mode? Many of these web services are doc/literal jax-rpc web services. Or does the migration guide recommend we migrate the web services first to weblogic? Any other specific information on working around this error message would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    I had the same issue but I just managed to fix it. You must upgrade and/or regenerate you proxy. This creates new classes (possibily in a new package) that you must use in your code. I had this error because the classes directory was not clean after the rebuild and the old classes (in the old package) were still present, so the compilation was successful with the old classes. So clean your classes directories, regenerate your proxy and use the new classes in your code.

    Sylvain

  • Web Deploy error - "This method is not supported by this class"

    I have an MVC project which I am trying to deploy to one of our internally-hosted web front end servers via a TFS build process. Our server hosts the MS Deploy service, and other solutions deploy without problems to the same box. The parameters for the build
    process are as follows:
    /p:DeployOnBuild=True /p:DeployTarget=MsDeployPublish /p:MSDeployPublishMethod=WMSVC /p:MsDeployServiceUrl=https://<server>:8172/msdeploy.axd /p:DeployIISAppPath="<internal.site.com>" /p:username=<username> /p:password=<password>
    /p:IncludeIisSettingsOnPublish=false /p:AllowUntrustedCertificate=True /p:OutputPath=bin\ /p:SkipExtraFilesOnServer=True /p:VisualStudioVersion=11.0
    The error message I receive at the point the build reaches the deployment activity is:
    Web deployment task failed. (Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://<server>:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=<internal.site.com>'.)
    Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://<server>:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=<internal.site.com>'.
    The request was aborted: The request was canceled.
    This method is not supported by this class.
    We've found
    this StackOverflow post which describes the same error we're experiencing, however the suggested solution is something we already do in our server configuration, so this doesn't resolve the issue for us.
    Has anyone seen this error before, or is able to make any suggestions why it is happening?

    Hi Matt,
    You have to have a look in the build log then copy the command that is under Run MSBuild node and executed it on the build agent.
    You should find something like below:

  • Dreamweaver CS5 is not Supported on This Type of Mac

    I recently got a new iMac and went to reinstal my CS5 Web Premium Student Edition and only installed Dreamweaver. I was able to use it yesterday fine. Today when I booted up. the dreamweaver icon has a anti symbol over it and says "you can't open the application "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5" because it is not supported on this type of mac."
    What went wrong and what do I need to do to fix it? Thanks!

    I am running OSx 10.9 and I do not see anything about Roseta or Intel when viewing the info about the app. After I used DW yesterday fine, I ran the auto updates from within DW and perhaps when I rebooted this morning is when it broke.  I just now uninstalled CS5 and reinstalled DW (I'm not using the other apps). It has updates to do but scared..
    It wants to update the following:
    Adobe Device Central CS
    Adove Dreamweaver
    - Adobe player
    - CS Live Service
    - Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.4 updater
    - Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 update
    I haven't tried yet to update because either that or some other stange thing happened. I've never seen an app with an anti symbol over it.
