Last night my ipod touch(with iOS 5 beta 4) tried to reboot itself and is just not starting. it does not allow me to do anything and does not start till it's battery is exhausted. iTunes is not recognizing it. pls hlp............!!!!!!!!!!

The only way is to jailbreak and download cracked apps, but I would recommend you wouldn't do that as this is piracy and jailbreaking is illegal in some countries.

Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. Not clear if you did this type of restore
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

How do you go about finding a lost iPod Touch with IOS 4.3 installed? I had updated my iPod Touch to IOS 4.3 and I had read something about the update having the ability to help one find their lost device.
Is there documentation anywhere that outlines how this works?

Ipod touch with iOS 4.2.1 but can't install new iBooks as it is supported from iOS from 5.0.
But my iPod can't be upgraded from iOS 4.2.1.

Unless you downloaded and still have an older compatible version of the iBooks app somewhere (e.g. on your computer or on a backup) then you won't be able to use the app - only the current version of each app is available in the store.

HT1296 I updated my ipod touch with IOS 6, then downloaded You tube onto my computer then tries to synch it with my ipod. The you tube app icon is present on the computer but doesn't appear on ipod. the app store states that it is installed but it isn't.

Have you tired using the Spotlight search? Maybe you just can't find it.
Do you have Restrictions on that would hid the app? Settings>General>Restrictions.

yup just tried.... and no it still doesn't work...
weird that when i check with my friends, they all say it works on their iPhone 4... just not my ipod Touch... !@#$%
and when i check forums for the past few days.. i don't see anyone complaining that this app doesn't work... and alot of reviews saying that it works on iPhone, ipod Touch, and iPad if i didn't recall wrongly...
this is terribly frustrating!!

That's basically it. I found my old 1st gen iPod Touch and wanted to update the iOS, but I am away from my computer with iTunes.
I do have wi-fi though.
I tried via Settings->General->Update. But it doesn't have an update option in settings.
Anyone?

A 1G iPod Touch can not be updated past iOS 3.1.3. Only the 3G and 4G iPod touch models can run iOS 5 or later, which added in the ability to update via the Settings app.

her most favorite app (Ultimate Pokedex). It's not listed anywhere, in her itunes or on her device. Any advice?

- Apps get pulled for various reasons. When I googled for the app I could not find any reason why it was pulled. When I clicked on a link it just got me to the iTunes App store with a message that is is not available.
- Going back to a previous revision of iTunes will not help at all. It would also prevent you from syncing the iPod to the computer.
- My guess is that the app was not in the iTunes library when you did the update.
