Last Published vs Lsst Modified

Running PS 2010 with all correct patch/s and cu updates
I need some clarity around the Last Published as opposed to the Last Modified, I have both fields coming through in the PWA and I’m trying to comprehend the logic as to why a Project is showing
a Last Modified date of 9/08/2012 and a last Publish date of 13/08/2012
Exactly what is the criterion for a Last Publish as opposed to a Last Modified, what does the difference in dates signify
Many thanks
Noel
Noel

Hi Noel,
Last modified tables corresponds to when project plan was modified and last publish date is corresponding the project plan published.
Sometimes project managers don’t want to publish the project plan until plan is finalized, in such scenario you may see different modified and published date. Also there is another parameter
last save which is not similar to modified date, as tables name indicates it provides information about when was the last time project plan was saved.
You may validate the result using following query on Project Published or draft database
select proj_last_saved, WPROJ_LAST_PUB,MOD_Date from MSP_Project where Proj_name like '%Replace with your project name%'
Hope this helps

  • Does CPS Provide Report for Last Time Page was modified?

Can someone who uses Adobe Contribute Publishing Server tell me if it will provide a report or some sort of log that I can run and get a list of all the dates pages were last published?
We would like this report so we can pinpoint users who haven't updated in awhile and notify them to update.
    Thanks.

That's what I needed to know.
In the meantime I did learn that you can create a folder on the desktop called ctnetperformancelog and it will log all activity in Contribute.  I was able to do that and I am now getting useful data that I can use with a little bit of work to pull out what I need.
Dreamweaver doesn't meet my needs because the recently modified date changes every time I update a template.  So it doesn't necessarily reflect the actual last date the page was modified. I want to know the last date one of my users edits a page and then sends it to me to publish.
I am not going to do with CPS at this time because I think my Contribute logs are good enough.
    Thanks for responding.

  • Last published field in odata reports

    hi folks,
We are using Project OnLine and we  want to implement a safe Timesheet reporting in order to invoice customers correctly. I tried to create an oData report which display the Last published date and the last  Modified date for each project, and
create a flag when the second is later than the first. In that case the user may need to republish his project.
I could not find any field in the odata fields, to display the last published
date of the project, enven in the Project odatatable or any. Is there somewhere ? It seems akward that MS may not have considered the importance of the date of the last publishing of each project.
I also tried to create a PWA report, where it is easier than odata, but ther I was not able to create a
formula to show a date diff between project Last publish
and last Modified. Is the list of suggested field exhaustive ? Those dates are not in the suggested field, in the formula fields.
    Can you help ?

    Hello,
Unfortunately only the last modified date is in the Odata API.
I would only show the Published date in the Project Center views, see this post for details:
    http://pwmather.wordpress.com/2013/07/22/projectserver-ps2013-ps2010-last-modified-and-last-published-fields-in-pwa-sp2013-ppm-projectonline/
The details in this post will also apply to the ODATA Project Last Modified date...

  • Show the last published documents in a view for a document library.

    Hello!
At our company we have a document library with many documents. These documents are evolving and are therefore going from major versions to minor versions to major versions again. To be able to get a good overview of the last "official" versions
we would need to have a view that shows the last "Approved" versions of each document (if any approved versions exist). This is basically the same as watching the document library from a user that only own reading access and therefore only sees the
    "published" versions.
In our case this view should be used by people that own editing rights as well to the documents.
Is it possible to accomplish this?
I tried to use the tip from the following site: link
    The "?IncludeVersions=TRUE"
    did not work though.

    Hi AndersObserve,
I understand that you have a document library that you have enabled content approval(if not, enable it) and versioning, then
you want to create a view to filter major(approved) documents, then you can filter on the ApprovalStatus field. Try to create a new standard view, filter the view when the ApprovalStatus is equal to Approved, then the view will display the published version
    document.
    Best Regards.

  • In a search...how do I change "Last Opened" to "Date Modified"

This has been driving me crazy for a long time and I want to fix it. When I do a search for a file the menu lists:
File name | Kind | Last Opened
I really couldn't care less when the last time a file was opened. As a matter of fact I don't even understand why this is tracked. What I do want is when the file was last modified. As it is now if I open the wrong file from 3 years ago and determine it is not the correct file. It then shows up at the top of the list. Last opened is not something I care about.
I'm sure there is a way to change this but I can't seem to find where.
    Thanks in advance.

Select the footnote number and go
What have you tried that didn't work?

  • How have a list view of last published documents when you are a contributor ?

    Hello,
    thanks for your help.
    here is the problem :
    - A library is set with versionning (draft and published) documents.
    - the library contain this documents
    - DOC A : version 1.3 : version 1.0 is published
    - DOC B : version 2.4 : version 2.0 was unpublished
    - Adam is a contributor of this library. He can create, edit, delete, publish, unpublish a document. His list view display DOC A v1.3 and DOC B version 2.4.
    - John is a reader of this library. He can only read the published documents. His list view display DOC A v1.0 only.
To manage this library, Adam want to have the same view of this library as John. He want to view only the published documents.
How can I give a published document view to Adam ?
My first reflexe was to do a view filtering the versions containing ".0". The problem is that DOC A not appear, because the visibility version of this document is 1.3 for Adam (and 1.0 for John)
How can I give him a published document view? perhaps with programmation, SharePoint Designer,...
thanks for every help and samples.

Give Adam a test account with the same permissions as John. It's the only way to be sure.

  • View last published swf from flash authoring envoirnment

    hi guys
It might sound silly but how about having a shorcut/tool in flash IDE to view recently published swf file
basicaly i m not updating content outside flash i.e. XML,images and I dont want to use windows explorer to run swf file and check the updated content
Is there any quick way to achive this?
adobe should look at these small things

"Open Recent files" in file menu allows to open recent source files i.e. fla, as and not publised swf files
Basicaly I my point is , why i have to publish fla when there is no channge
I have a swf wihch is getting loaded in a container and no content/code is referenced in parent container. I am making changes in child fla and compiling it.
to view the application i might have to  publishing Parent fla or goto explorer to run parent  swf which is very comfertable.

  • Problems publishing a web-access on Sharepoint: Error when modifying list schemes

    Good afternoon.
I have an application built with an access database with several forms and web macros which is published on Sharepoint 2010. Through this application - not too big not too complex (ca. 10 tables / less than 2000 records at most) - I receive updates
that are loaded into external applications, mainly excel worksheets, ms project files and so on.
I have been going through the cycle of developing and publishing new versions of the application on the same site for more than a year; suddenly, from severeal weeks ago on, I started receiving the following error affecting random tables (not always the
same) which crashes the compilation and publishing:
"Error when modifying lists schemes. Changing name to "ID" field on list XXXX failed"
And each time the list is different. And of course I am no trying at all to change the name of any ID field !????
Any clue of what might be happening?
    Thank you

  • Ical not publishing to dotmac--new information

Hello, I have been having a hard time with icalendar not publishing on dotmac. It started happening suddenly on my upgrade to 10.5.2.
The dotmac support people have been responding to my inquiries with the following suggestions (eached bumped to a higher level):
    1) unpublish and republish--nope doesn't work
    2) corrupted file, remake the calendar (which means re enter every entry)
    3) the most recent is that my file size (1.9 mbytes) can't be published on ical.
Has anyone heard this before? It is news to me, and google and forum searches have not indication of a limit to ical file sizes for dotmac publication.
Now it seems my choices are:
    1) Try to find a way to bulk delete old events (there have been some messed up syncs with missing sync that have created a lot of repeated events). There are literally thousands of individual events that have to be deleted over the 5 years I have been using ical.
    2) Re enter my dates in a new calendar going forward and publish that new calendar. Frankly, that seems easiest, but I have to admit being peeved at the undocumented file limit.
It is not a matter of my idisk size or anything like that. According to the tech " and can see that it has a file size of 2 MB. I'm sorry, but your calendar is too large to be rendered on a web browser. iCal publishing is intended primarily for personal use, and not as a means of publishing such a large and complex schedule.
I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. To decrease the size and complexity of your calendars, you might consider decreasing the event repetition, or splitting the events from one calendar into several smaller calendars."
    So, anyone have any pointers?

I'm also having this problem. Lots of things seem to be broken in 10.5.5. I see that iCal last published my calendar in August 2008. Spotlight no longer seems to be indexing iPhoto. I wonder what else doesn't work. Most aggravating is that Apple never seems to acknowledge these problems. As mysteriously as they came, they might go away. It just works => That's just the way it works!

  • How to get previous published versions of publishing pages in sharepoint 2010?

    Hi all,
I have to get last published version only if effective date(custom column) is changed. So i have to check two conditions one is whether it is published or not and other is effective date is changed or not. If effective date is changed get the last published
version and copy this version and move to other library.
    suppose 6.0(published), effective date 05/20/2013
                 6.1(draft), effective date 05/20/2013
                 7.0(published), effective date 06/20/2013
Here i have to get 6.0 published version, copy and move to other library.
So how can i achieve this one. what's the best way to do this? either workflow in SPD / VS2010 or event receivers. Please guide me.
    Thanks in Advance

  • IWeb 08 crashes when publishing to folder

I've used iWeb from iLife 06 for a while now without any issues and upgraded to iLife 08 tonight. Unfortunately, when I go to publish my iWeb site to folder, it comes up with an "unknown error". Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

I just found the problem: iWeb 2 doesn't like the QTVR object video. There is no problem with the classics QTVR (panoramas).
To found the source of the problem, look at the last published page. Then, delete it and publish one more time.

  • Publish to .Mac vs. Publish All to ,Mac

I am using iWeb v 1.1.2, which I know how to use and is satisfactory for my needs. I do have a question, however. What is the difference between the command "Publish to .Mac" vs. "Publish All to .Mac?" I usually use "Publish to .Mac" as this seems quicker and does not seem the change the .js and Slideshow.html files that I hack to autoplay the audio, eliminate the reflections, etc. Although I don't seem to have any problem with this approach, I would like to be sure that I am not missing anything.
    Thank you.

    James,
Good question. I realized I wasn't sure myself. Here's what I found in iWeb Help:
"When you publish a site, all the sites and pages you changed since the last time you published are published. In other words, you can't publish only selected websites or webpages; your published websites always match the sites and pages in iWeb.
You can publish all your sites and pages (not just those changed sinced you last published), by choosing File > Publish All to .Mac. You might want to publish all your pages if, for example, you accidentally delete your site from .Mac, if you change .Mac accounts and want to publish to your new .Mac account, or if you discover missing links or pages in your site."

  • Modify ztable from internal table

    Hi,
    I have a Ztable in which i have 4 diff fields....1 2 3 4

    Internal table :
        1 2 3 4

        a w x 10
        a w x 11
        a w x 13
        a w x 12
When I am using Modify it only appends last record into ztable as below:
    Ztable :  1 2 3 4
               a w x 12
Internal table has 6 records and z table should be appended with 6 records too...
      if varid-report  = 'ZFINRR1001' and
        varid-VARIANT = 'CITI - ZBA' or
         varid-VARIANT = 'WACHOVIA - ZBA'.

    Hi,
You only get last record appended because your MODIFY statement uses t_data_new as a working area and not as a table.
To append the content of your internal table, use the FROM TABLE option as below :
    MODIFY zv12_sweep FROM TABLE t_data_new.

I published a website using iWeb.  I began using iWeb to create a second site and now I can't find my original site's work on my Mac.

If you're publishing directly from iWeb 3 to your FTP server then you'll have the following in your accounts root directory:
    Site 1 folder
    Site 2 folder
    Site 3 folder
index.html file from last published site directling to the last published site.
If you want to keep Site 1 as the primary site you'll need to publish it one more time to the server so you get it's index.html file uploaded.
Now you'll have to publish Sites 2 and 3 to a folder on the hard drive and use a 3rd party FTP client like Cyberduck, YummyLite or Transmit  to upload only the site folder (and not its external index.html file with it).
The url to sites 2 and 3 will be:
    http://doman_name.com/Site 2
