Latest upgrade has Chrome problem. How to avoid mouse hover comment blocking selection?
Hello,
I switched from Chrome to Firefox because of an incurable setting within Chrome when I would attempt to access certain items. The setting in question is what causes a comment to pop-up when the mouse is hovered over the selection, rather than only popping-up when specifically selected. Because of this, I am unable to select the check box I need due to the comment automatically blocking the box's line of sight. I am now forced to use IE just for this reason. Please help.

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Adding to tonefox's comment, if you had this upgrade button before and now you do not, it means your iPhone had previously been on iOS 5 or higher and now is at a lower level. That would indicate some type of hacking or jailbreaking, which would be a bad situtation.

Upgrade has caused problems with hotspot, tethering, and "help"
I received notice that my Z10 os had an upgrade available, so I went ahead and upgraded to 10.1.0.2019. Now that I'm on a new version my wireless hotspot as well as tethering features no longer work. They worked the day before. I have an unlimited data plan with data roaming. Others in my org with the exact same phone and plan but earlier version os do not have this problem. The error message for both features (hotspot and tethering) is that I need to subscribe to a plan that allows these features. My plan is already unlimited data with roaming. After investigation with the provider, they reported that my features had not been "enabled correctly". They made some changes and these two features started working again. This is all very suspicious and dubious since the features were working prior to the upgrade.
The second issue is that now I constantly have "help" menu pop ups telling me how to use gestures to navigate on my phone. I don't want these but don't see where to turn them off. I guess this is the default behavior of the new OS. Apparently it introduced or modified some of the gestures. Until I actually went in and executed each gesture, it continued to display the help menu.
I'd just as soon revert back to the old OS if I have to live with all this new unhelpful stuff. I don't see a handy way to downgrade to a previous release either. right now my phone is far less productive a tool than it should be or was prior to the upgrade.
While all has been fixed now, it still points to some unfortunate issues with new OS.As long as you are using the current version of firefox Firefox 7 sync is part of the browser. If you use the old version Firefox 3.6 sync was an add-on. If you have the add-on it may be removed see [[uninstalling add-ons]]

Activating sync should not be affecting the look of websites or webmail pages, possibly it is a separate problem.

Gnucash latest update has gconf problems
Hi,
The latest update of gnucash, 2.2.9-3, when started has a 'default values cannot be found' error for gconf.
I have updated the home .gconf.path file and installed into home directory as directed by the wizard that runs when I try to start gnucash.
The command update-gnucash-gconf stops with an error to do with schemas, which appear to be in another directory, not in the dir the script expects.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Am getting a message when downloading latest iTunes upgrade:

Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU in All Program, go to Control Panel, Add & Remove programs and repair it. -
RAID Admin logs problem -- how to avoid 2-day truncation?
Folks:
I have a problem that appears to have started about April 5 when I updated RAID Admin and Xerve RAID firmware to latest versions. Since then, I'm only seeing last two days of entries in the log (ie: what you see in the "Events" tab in RAID Admin). Strangely, entries up to to April 5 are preserved.
Of course I did't notice this until some was already lost. But now I want to fix it. I don't see any setting for "max log length" or similar.
Further more, I could use an explanation of where this log lives -- is it something that RAID Admin retrieves from the RAID box, or is it somehow preserved on the computer running RAID Admin or what?

But if you will accept a way that is not so simple, there is a company that sells a product that allows you to run a Java class as a service under NT. I don't remember its name but it has been named several times in the past in answers to this same question. A search of the forums would probably find it. -
Latest upgrade has many faults!!

Latest Upgrade Created Sync Problem With My Ford System
Every since I upgraded my software on my DroidX to 2.3.3 with System Version 405605MB810 my blue tooth in my Ford will not dial the number the first time I request it by voice. It says it's dialing, but then ends call. When I call the same number the 2nd time it always goes through. This never happened until I upgraded my phone. Any ideas?
Did you pair the bluetooth after the update or did the settings stay in your phone? You could try to delete from your bluetooth list and then reconnect.

I want a table to be non selectable for a particular user even if that user has a 'select any table' grant.
either the query can return no rows or an error message, it doesn't matter.
how can I achieve this with a standard database configuration? I mean I am not allowed to use any tool of Oracle like vault etc..

How to avoid table refresh on row selection

I have a table where the row selection happens on selecting the check box in the first column of the row. The check box is bound to the transient Boolean attribute of my VO to support this functionality which is missing in new version of ADF. The selection is working fine, however I am facing the issue with table refresh. Everytime I click checkbox to select or unselect a row my whole table is getting refreshed which is very unusual for user point of view. This is my code for the checkbox column:

I have to keep autoSubmit="true" on selectBooleanCheckbox because the table has to change color of the row everytime the checkbox is selected or deselected. Also, there are multiple commandToolbarButton such as "Delete" which needs to be enabled/disabled depending on the row selection.

Yes I do have Add and Delete toolbar button in the panelCollection and also set partialTrigger="tableId" on them. I need this partialTriggers because Delete button should enable/disable depending on number of rows added in the table. However, I tried removing them but it did not work for me, table is still refreshing. BUT this solution does work in combination of other solution i.e. removing ChangeEventPolicy="ppr" on the iterator. I need ppr because I have a form which is bound to the same iterator and should change on table selection. The design is like this,
- Read-only Table on top
- Editable Form below
- Select the row in table and edit the fields in the form
If I remove ppr then my form is not updating with the row selection.

How to avoid the same songs being selected by Genius playlists
I love iTunes Genius for making play lists, but I am annoyed by the fact that some songs are chosen again and again. For some reason "16 by 32" by the Decemberists pulled nearly every time I make a Genius playlist even though I've never chosen to play the track directly. Amazingly, it has racked up 150% of the plays of the next closest track that I actively listen to. Is there some way to have Genius ignore tracks or artists entirely without removing them from my iTunes library? Are there any ways to tweak Genius to provide a better sampling of tracks rather than the same old same old?

DerekYou can uncheck the little check box to the left of track's name.
This will mean iTunes always skips it unless you specifically select it. It has other side effects too.
