Launching tooltip for button

Hi guys! I've got a couple of questions.
1) Is there any opportunity to pop up a tooltip for a button programmatically? With click of another button for example?
2) Can we display the ShortDesc in form of a ToolTip? The approximate final form you can see here: http://s23.postimg.org/v00n7mpp7/thumbnail.jpg
Thanks in advance

Hi,
1. Use a note window in af:popup and use the button Id to show it for as the alignId. Then open the popup from Java or JavaScript
2. ShortDesc are always displayed as tootip though they cannot be launched programmatically

  • FPM: Tooltip for the start button

    Hi FPM experts,
I have one question/requirement concerning the start button within the FPM GAFfloorplan. I would like to add a tooltip to that button. I know that this button is part of the FPM and can not be influenced during design time.
Nevertheless I hoped to be able to influence the button during runtime, namely by using the interface  IF_FPM_CNR_GAF and the method DEFINE_BUTTON. According to the Developers Guide for FPM Release 701 this should work for standard buttons. However I did not succeed in using this method.
When taking a closer look at the signature I also became aware that there is one parameter missing in the signature of the interface that is described within the Developers Guide (IV_SCREEN): To the best of my knowledge this parameter is not available in 7.01/7.1 systems.
Any help on that topic is appreciated!
    Thanks

I have checked with some Windows 7 machines in workgroup, and they are all no infotips from the start menu items, this might by design.

  • Set a tooltip for a shape, not a button

    Hi everybody,
Hope you are all ok wherever you are :)
I have this little problem guys; I want to set a tooltip button in my application but the problem is that i'm not using buttons but shapes instead, in which shapes i've added mouse click handle code.
I need when the mouse goes over these shapes-buttons i have, some tooltip text to be displayed. I've tried to create a rectangle and display the small text i want into that rectangle and then call repaint for restoring the program to the previous state before the tooltip display, but unfortunately it is too slow.
Can you please help me out of that? Can you give a way of setting tooltips for shapes instead of buttons?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -John

Your trying to set a tooltip for a given area on some JComponent defined by a Shape which holds the points that make up the border of the Shape, like GeneralPath or something like that? Is that what you mean? I'm not sure but I think you can use Shape.contains(Point2D ...) without actually have drawn the Shape, so that you can test where the mouse is on your JComponent, then check contains to see if a tooltip needs to be displayed. You'll have to write your own tooltip frame that's not dependent on a JComponent, but thats fairly straightforward. Don't know if this is any help to you, but its a possibility.
    Tom
ioannisc: the OP talks about the use of Shape's, where did subclasses of JComponent come into it?!

Fix for Button tooltips. TextBase dispatches an event when _isTruncated is set through the setIsTruncated() function. This allows ButtonBase to listen for the event and set the tooltip as necessary. If an explicit tooltip is set, then ButtonBase will not set a tooltip.

  • Launching report from button in forms

I have a report with a user input parameter that i need to launch from a button within oracle forms,
inputting the url does not display the report because of the perameter is there another way? ive looked into the built ins but they seem overly complicated for what i am trying to achieve as in theory it should be quite simple just to launch the report in the web browser (all of this is client side one machine holding all reports and forms)
really desperate as this has a deadline of tomorrow!!

I have searched and i couldnt find anything specifically to do with client side and perameters, i know how to do it via web browser and the listener etc but with a parameter this does not work.
i literally need to run the web version of the report as in reports builder does through a button
if you know of a thread please point me there thanks!!

  • Launching SAPGUI for Windows from WD application

    Hi,
I have managed to launch an SAPGUI transaction "BRF+" at the click of a link on my Web Dynpro application. For this, I used the sample code from Reg calling Transaction code in Webdynpro ABAP
However, this opens the SAPGUI for HTML, where the transaction is not rendered correctly. The display is restricted only to a small of the IE screen, and no button clicks are working.
Is there any way to fix this? Or, is it possible to launch SAPGUI for Windows from a WD application?
    Thanks, Rohan.

    Hi..
You are accessing Tcode in browser, it means we have to use sap gui for html only not windows.
The display is restricted only to a small of the IE screen
Do you mean, tcode opens in minimize window mode? if yes, then in create_external_window method ,  try to maximize the window by default.

  • Paramters empty when using Transaction launcher wizard for BOR Method

We have a u201CCRM 5.0 BOR method based - action boxu201D; that uses a R3 method, to pick the confirmed BP from CRM CIC and goes to R3 and finds a partner function for it. We are moving over to the navigation bar in CRM 7.0. We are using the transaction launcher wizard in CRM 7.0 to create a launch transaction for this action box.  In the wizard we enter the following: 1) Name,  Component set: u201CALLu201D; 2) Description and Custom Class name; 3) choose A BOR Transaction, choose the R/3 system we are connecting to and choose the appropriate BOR Object Type and Method Name.  The problem is when we go to the next screen u2013 u201CTransaction Parametersu201D u2013 nothing shows up in the dropdown box.
From what weu2019ve read, we need to choose something here.  Eventually we will have to go to the method u201Cif_crm_ic_action_handler~PREPARE_DATA_FLOWu201D in the class specified in the wizard and change to code to use the confirmed BP number. But first we need to choose the transaction parameter in the wizard.  I think maybe we need to choose a component set on the Entries screen but there are a bunch of them and we have no idea which one is appropriate. It could also be a declaration in the method!!
We have checked the settings for the ZTSTC object, the ITS URLs, the RFCs and logical systems and came up with noting. These are the notes that we have checked: 1021222, 888931, 1337200 and 1337472.
Does anyone have an idea as to what we might be missing?

    Hi Thea,
Yes, we were able to resolve the issue. This was resolved by one of our technical developers. This is how he resolved the issue:
    STEP1: PARAMETER MAINTENANCE
    1) You need to maintain method for the parameter
/SE80 -> Menu item - Workbench -> Edit object -> TAB - Business engineering -> FIELD Business object type = Ex: ZXXXX (Custom object) and open it.
    2) Expand the Methods and focus your cursor on the method that you woud like to change Ex: ZXXX.ZYYY.
    3) In the toolbar section push the PARAMETERS button.
    4) Change to Edit mode nd hit CREATE. Select the table abd the field that you would like to pass as a parameter. In our case we selected Tabel KNA1 and field KUNNR. Hit the green check mark. Check the fields Import & Mandatory. Save and select your transport request.
STEP 2: USING PARAMETER IN TRANSACTION LAUNCHER WIZARD
    5) While creating the launch transaction wizard, the paramter needs to be maintained.
IMG -> Customer Relationship Management -> UI Framework -> Technical Role Definition -> Technical Role Definition -> Configure Transaction Launcher.
    6) Maintain the technical details of your launch transaction and then when you come to the Transaction Parameters section when you hit the dropdown you should now see the paramter that you maintained. In our case we had OBJECTGUID.
    7) In the Value field hit F4. Here look for the right data context and the field that you would like to pass. In our case we selected:  //datacontextCURRENTBT/BTOrderHeader/BTHeaderActivityExt/GUID. Complete the wizard.
STEP 3: CHANGE METHOD CREATED IN STEP 2
    8) Find the Class that was created by the wizard and open the method: IF_CRM_IC_ACTION_HANDLER~PREPARE_DATA_FLOW
    Change the follwing code:
    me->set_container_data(
iv_name  = delete gv_customer and insert the field that you added. In our case:  'KUNNR'
        iv_value = CUSTOMER ).
    Save and activate the method.
    This should resolve the issue.

  • Calling a transaction launcher from a button

    Hi experts,
I'm trying to call a navigation launcher from a button.
So i created a button and the event. In the event i copied the code from class : CL_CRMCMP_N_MAINNAVIGATI0_IMPL / method do_handle_event. (see code below)
But when this is executed, the system doesn't navigate to the logical link.
Do you have any idea why ?
How can i do some troubleshooting ?
How can i call the transaction launcher ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
I had the same problem. As workaround I added the logical link to the navigation bar and now the transaction launcher call from the button also works.
It seems as the logical link has to be used in the navigation bar profile in order to allow for a call from a workspace. It does not really solve your problem if you don't want the call in the navigation bar, but maybe you can live with this.

  • Launch image for iPhone 5 with Flash CS6

How do I add the required iPhone 5, 4 inch screen launch images to my build using Flash CS6. I have targeted Air 3.8 beta and there is no support for bundling the necessary images. Do I need to edit the plist or app descriptor xml file or something? Do Adobe plan to accommodate these new Apple requirments in a future version of CS6 or AIR SDK?
Up until now I have had no problems submitting binaries to the Appstore, but as of May 1st Apple reject any binaries that are not optimized for the 4 inch screen of the iPhone 5.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Thanks for your effort!!!Did exactly the same, but no result.I changed the version number in Flash in the airsettings to 2.1, and also tried (1.1, 2.1. 1.0.1)After that, put another version ready to upload. Select this version in the apploader. And than it tells me: This bundle is invalid. The value for key cfkbunleversion in the info.plist file must contain a higher version than that of the previously uploaded version.
I do not want to update my app, but only the screens you see when buying the app in de store. And also the name of the developer. I changed my apple id from [email protected] into [email protected] thought if I run an update, the apple-id of the app will change.
    (I am not sure).
    Hope to hear from you.
Newspaper want a interview because it's a creative app from the city, now I hope it will work in time...App name is: jabenjibbe

    Hey Christa,
I'm not entirely sure what process you've gone through, but as far as uploading an update goes, it's much like uploading your original app.  You need to go to iTunes Connect first and log in, go to "Manage Your Apps" and then click on the app you want to upload an update for.  There'll be an option on the next page that says "Add a version".  You then enter the information that you need to for the updated app and click on "Save".  You'll then have the button you need to click on that says something like "Ready to Upload Binary" or something similar.
Once you click on that, you need to open up Application Loader and then upload your updated app through that.  If you've entered the correct information in the steps above, you should be able to choose the new version number for your app from a list.  You then just submit it like you did originally.
After that, you simply have to wait.  It's not instantaneous.  Submitting an update is much the same as when you submit an app for the first time.  It has to go through the whole review and approval process all over again.  So when you go back to iTunes Connect, you'll see for the app you've updated, there'll be a green light for the older version that's approved and currently on the App Store and an orange light for the update that's waiting approval.  Once the update has been successful, it will automatically replace the older version (if you chose that option earlier) and then you will only have the one green light, for the most recent version, on iTunes Connect and then people who have downloaded the app previously will get the Update alert in the App Store on their phone/device letting them know that there are updates available.
For me, the update process was reasonably quick.  It took anywhere between 3 and 5 days before the update became active on the App Store.  Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Hally
