Layout problem with JTabbedPane

Hi,
I'm creating a JDialog with a JOptionPane in it which has a JTabbedPane as its ContentPane
Supposed to look like the pic below. I've put the JOptionPane into a JScrollPane in case the user makes the Dialog too small.
Problem is that the JTabbedPane stretches to a very large height (way bigger than the dialog height).
Using setPreferredSIze(..) on the JTabbedPane doesn't help either. If the dialog is made bigger, then the TAbbedPane doesn't stretch, if it is made smaller, the TabbedPane shrinks to the minimum necessary size.
Any ideas, tips on getting this layout would be appreciated.

  • Page Layout Problems with embedded iViews

    Hi all,
    We are having problems with the position of the iviews in the layout page using embedded iviews. Sometime load in one order and other times in another one. I need that the iviews load in the same order always.
    Any idea, please?
    Thanks for all.

    Hi José,
    if in fact this is the case, then I would expect that the single iViews are called via different threads. If this is the case, then I would implement within the iView to wait for some result provided by the iView, which should be loaded first (for example, by putting some certain value into the http session object).

  • HT4111 Logitech K810 UK layout problem with @ and " being the wrong way round.

    I have tried this keyboard on Windows 7 devices and they work just fine, but on IOS7, either the first version or the version released today, it remains the wrong way around - i.e. US spec.

    Hi,
    I have a problem with the same keyboard when I start up and hold the ALT key you can select a startup disk this is not working by my keyboard when I use a old keyboard I'ts working again do you have that problem also.

  • Printing layout problem with Lightroom CC 2015 Release

    Hello,
    I am working with the following configuration :
    MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010)
    OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3
    Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC 2015 Release
    EPSON Stylus Pro 3880
    I tried to print two images on a Super A3 paper sheet with an EPSON Stylus Pro 3880 directly from Lightroom and here is an example of what I expected (I resized and added a black border for better visibility on the forum):
    This is the preview I have in the printing module of Lightroom and this is also what I have when I print to a JPEG file with Lightroom.
    Sadly, after I launched the printing job, this is what came out of the printer:
    As we can see, the layout of the two pictures has been shifted toward the top of the paper sheet (cropping the top of the first image in the process) and about 30% of the right part of the layout has not been printed.
    Do you have any idea of what I am doing wrong here?
    For your information, I do not print very often so I am not 100% sure that I set everything correctly. However, I have been successfully printing in the past and it was with the same MacBook Pro on the same EPSON Stylus Pro 3880 printer but it was with OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.1 and with Lightroom 5.x (I cannot remember exactly which version).
    Moreover, because my print was urgent, I retried with a Windows machine running Lightroom 4.x with the same printer and it was a success. So I doubt that my initial settings on my MacBook Pro were wrong although I am not 100% sure.

    I am in France and I found out that EPSON is providing at least two different files for its v9.33 driver that relate to the Stylus Pro 3880 with OSX:
    epson16738.dmg: US version (https://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?UseCookie=yes&oid=141552&prodoid =63085147&infoType=Downloads&d…)
    epson379436eu.dmg: French version (Support et téléchargements - Epson Stylus Pro 3880 - Epson)
    and I realize that I was using the US driver which.
    After few minutes of refection, I realized that the 3880 driver that I installed on my MacBook pro was the only piece that was present when my prints failed and absent when my prints succeeded. So I though it had found out the cause of my problems until I tried with the french driver (epson379436eu.dmg)...
    In the meantime Adobe has release of new version of lightroom so let me recap my new configuration:
    MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010)
    OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3
    Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC 2015.0.1 [ 1018573 ] (info available in Help menu > System info > Lightroom version)
    EPSON Stylus Pro 3880
    Epson driver v9.33 epson379436eu.dmg
    ... and the result of my test is ... nothing at all! Lightroom sends the the print job to the printer but nothing comes out of it.
    However, when I printed to a file from lightroom and then tried to print this file with OS X Preview on the Epson 3880, it worked perfectly.
    It also worked when I printed from Photoshop CC (2014.2.2).
    It also worked when I printed from Lightroom but with a different printed and driver (Canon MF8580Cdw).
    Therefore, among the five elements of my configuration cited above, there is none for which the printing job is always failing. It is hard to find out what is the faulty piece of software!

  • UiXml: layout problem with detailDisclosure

    I'm trying to create a table, the detail-section of which contains a number of text elements the text elements themselves are databound - using <contents data:childData...>
    However whenever I open the detailsection the layout of the table is screwed up. The column containing the Hide/Show button is then suddenly as wide as the detailsection.
    When I don't use a tableLayout inside the detail section but e.g. a contentContainer it works fine.
    Any idea what the problem might be?

    </table>

    Hi Guido
    I've not had any problems using <tableLayout> with the <detail> section of a <table> although I'm tending to use encapsulated <column> elements to control my table contents. I tried to simulate your example in my environment and couldn't reproduce the problem although it was difficult to replicate the data-bindings.
    On that front, I was intrigued by your data-binding syntax, specifically the use of "/" and "." in there as this wasn't a feature I've come across. Can you tell me what this means?
    Sorry I couldn't help more with your problem.
    Cheers
    Ian

  • Layout problem with div. on PC but ok on iPad how to fix?

    hello. like the title says, im having a problem here. i im builiding my own website and am creating a page with all my personal exp. and so on. to keep it nice i created serveral div tags. here is my site:
    http://www.eduweb.hhs.nl/~10071717/home.htm
    when you go to the "CV" link in the left colum you will see the layout is ok, vertically. but there is way to much space between the created table (div tags)
    on dreamweaver "live view" it shows fine with one line of space between the bottom of the table and the top of the text (trying to be as clear as possible).
    but when i press Ctrl+F12 (prev in browser) it show like it is now.
    on my iPad it shows just fine:
    you know what i mean now?

    After the end of each section of your CV you have code like below before the start of your next section/s:
    <p>  </p>
    <p> </p>
    <p> </p>
    <h6> </h6><h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    <h6> </h6>
    You need to delete all of that so the section/s end cleanly before the start of the next section as shown below:
    <p>205270621</p>
        </div>
    <!-- this is the end of your first section with all the code as mentioned above deleted -->
    <h6>opleidingen</h6>
        <div id="CvOpleidingenL">
    Then you need to add clear: both; and padding: 15px 0 7px 0; as shown below to the <h6> css:
    h6 {
        font-family: "BankGothic Lt BT", georgia, "times New Roman";
        font-size: 12px;
        color: #000;
    clear: both;
    padding: 15px 0 7px 0;

  • JFrame.pack() causes problems with jtabbedpane(making new tabs)and resizing

    I have a JFrame with a JTabbedPane inside of it. Inside of each tab I put a JPanel with a JTextArea in it. When I create a new tab, I do something like textArea.requestFocusInWindow();
    However, this will not work unless I do a frame.pack() right after I created the new tab and right before that line of code.
    This in turn causes another problem. If I resize the jframe and then create a new tab, the window will snap back to the size it had before creating the tab. I assume this has to do with the pack() function, however nothing else I try will make the cursor blink in the JTextArea.
    Is there a solution to this...either something to make the cursor blink or something other than the pack function to update the JFrame?
    Thank you

  • Creating new Layout problem with merged table within std_resources.htm

    Dear All,
    i am relatively new to oracle ucm and i am trying to add new comonent to create new layout from oracle Create and Modify Layout Sample Component* example under http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/content-management/index-092832.html .
    i want to ask about the following
    in this component i have CreateLayout_Layouts Table, CreateLayout_PublishedWeblayoutFiles Table and CreateLayout_PublishedStaticFiles Table. These tables should be merged with LmLayouts table, PublishedWeblayoutFiles table and PublishedStaticFiles table respectively in the std_resources.htm file in the <install_dir>/shared/config/resources directory.
    The problem is in my std_resources.htm file i have the following :
    <tr>
         <td>LmLayouts</td><td>LmLayouts</td><td>LmLayouts</td><td>id</td><td>label</td>
         <td></td><td>7.3</td><td>1</td>
    </tr>
    how can i add (merge) the CreateLayout_Layouts Table in LmLayouts table? what is should fill the <td>s ?
    for PublishedWeblayoutFiles table and PublishedStaticFiles table they are not exist in my std_resources.htm file. are there names changed? or shall i add them(if yes, what is the <td>s had inside).
    note: i will be greatfull if someone have the std_resources.htm that have the above tables merged with the specified ones.

    I believe that sample is old. i have been pushing to get an updated version out also. Hopefully the fragmentary information I will give here will help.
    The main changes are dynamic data tables which replace the includes to control the menu items and relationships. The old things should work still but good to use the new. At the end is an example of merge rules.
    See 3.5.2 Dynamic Data Tables

  • Layout problem with broadcasted BW report

    Hi all,
    a broadcasted BW report laying under /documents/Public Documents/TestReport looks good when opening the index.htm there... also the layout.
    Then I took an iView based on 'KM Document iView' (com.sap.km.cm.docs) and copied the path '/documents/Public%20Documents/TestReport/index.htm' into the property 'Path to Document'.

    Viewing the source of this htm page shows the following stylesheet entry:
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./StaticMimes/com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata/themes/portal/fwtheme/ur/ur_ie6.css">
    So opening the index.htm in an iView can't find this stylesheet.
    Have somebody an idea what to do? Do I have to configure something else?
    We use NW2004s SP10. The report was made with the BEx Broadcaster Wizard.
    Thanks,
    Susanne

    The IE 6.0 which I use can handle .mht files. So the .mht link opened in the KM Content works:
    http://<host>:50000/irj/go/km/docs/documents/Public%20Documents/TestReport2.mht
    But why does this link works but not the preview in portal content area?
    I have to correct myself... I found out these effects trying to deposit different paths in the iView property:
    - path:  /documents/Public%20Documents/TestReport2.mht
      --> the preview shows the source code of the .htm in the browser. Saving this source code to a new .mht file and testing it locally works fine!!!
    - path:  /entrypoints/Public%20Documents/TestReport2.mht
      --> here the browser wants to know which programm the .htm file shall be opened. After choosing IE the source code was shown also like above.
    Therfore there is the same behavior after assigning the iView to a role.
    This url was generated for the iView
    http://<host>:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.pagebuilder.IviewModeProxy?iview_id=pcd%3Aportal_content/nas/general/nas_every_user_role/de.cas.nas.general_ws/testfolder/TestReport2&iview_mode=default
    But also only the source code is shown in the browser.
    I looked at this side how to integrate a BI report as a document into portal:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/bc/7efa40dd14f06fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    Do you have any other idea?

  • Keyboard Layout Problems with OS X Mavericks on MacBook

    My brother and I have a Early 2009 MacBook that received succesive updates on OS X over the past four years: it went from Leopard to Snow Leopard to Lion to Mountain Lion. But this year, we decided to upgrade it from a clean install of Mavericks.
    It went fine, but... the keyboard is acting in a terrible way. The layout is bugged! The left shift key enters the "Y" letter, while return enters the "/" key... I've just tried everything to fix this resetting NVRAM and SMC, but nothing has worked.
    Somebody else is having this problem? Could a software update fix it?

    See if a Safe Mode boot helps...
    Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
    A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
    Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.

  • Layout problem with smartform..Little Urgent

    Hi gurus,
    I have a window of size 1 cm.. In this i want to print a number which should be of the same size as the window(1 cm in height). But the maximum font i can give in the character format is 99 pt. and this is making the number to printed in less than half the area provided for it.
    Please tell me how i can increase the font for the number so that it fits the window fully.
    Thanks in Advance.
    KK.

    Hi,
    you have given window size of 1 cm in that only the character font of less then 20 can be fitted I think you are giving the font size or the font family so that it takes default font of system so it is coming as so. In your system go to
    -> Go to SE73 ->select system fonts and go with display.
    -> Now check the font size and family that you are providing.
    -> Now in the character format of the style provide the font family and size that is in the system fonts.
    Thanks,
    NN.

  • Non-US keyboard layout problem with VNC

    Hi everyone,
    I've got an arch box at work running tigervnc through an ssh tunnel so that I can work from home when I need to.
    Everything is great, as long as I'm using and ASCII keyboard layout.
    When I switch layouts, the keystrokes just don't get through to the server.
    Here's  what I use to switch layouts:
    setxkbmap -layout us,ru -option 'grp:alt_shift_toggle'
    So I need to type in russian, and I hit alt-shift, as usual, and start typing, but nothing is echoed back to me.  I can tell that the keystrokes are just not getting to the destination because if I'm at a terminal and I'm switched to the ru layout and I type something and hit enter, I just get a newline, as if there was nothing typed at all.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Why are the characters mixed up in the session?
    This issue can occur if the keyboard language has been switched on the remote PC while running a remote desktop session. In the case you would like to switch to a different keyboard
    language follow these instructions.
    Important:
    The remote PC selects the system language of the device running the remote desktop client and not the keyboard language. When switching the keyboard language on your device,
    you need to manually switch the keyboard language on the remote PC.
    1. Open settings on your device.
    2. Tap General and then tap International.
    3. Tap Language and select the language running on the remote PC.
    4. Open the RD Client and connect to the remote PC and check if the Windows keyboard language matches the language that you selected.

  • Unicode font usage with jTabbedPane

    Hey there
    I faced a problem when I use Unicode characters on JTabbedPane
    the font is amharic power geez unicode1 and it works fine with jLabel and partially with jButtons ( except trying to set text at run time )
    The problem with jTabbedpane is that when I change its tab title property the other tabs disappear ( am using netbeans 5.5 )

    To me, it looks as if your problem is that you're only calling setFont on "this".
    That's only going to set it for the top level frame, and doesn't always do it for every individual component. The easy way to get around this is to go berserk with the setFont call. Set it on anything (heck, set it on your dog if it makes you feel any better)! ;D
    The slightly harder but smarter way to do this is to write a recursive function that drills down your component list.
    public void setFontRecursively(Font myFont, Component comp) {
       comp.setFont(myFont);
       if (comp instanceof Container) {
          Component[] childComps = ((Container)comp).getComponents();
          if (childComps != null) {
             for (int i=0; i < childComps.length; i++) {
                setFontRecursively(myFont, childComps);
    That should basically cover anything bar popup menus and drop-down submenus. You have to recall this as they appear, or they don't get the font straight off.
    Hope that helps!

  • [solved] layout problem in amarok 2.02

    Hi,
    Here, I have a bad layout problem with amarok 2.02. Amarok does not fit on my screen which is 1400 pixels large! I cannot reduce the part where the collection is shown. So that it is really unpractical to use.
    I uploaded a snapshot to illustrate the problem (it is the full screen!):
    emmanuelfavrenicolin.free.fr/Public/Sna … ok202.jpeg
    Someone have the same problem ?
    I tried to install svn version but I stopped after 3 hours of compilation, it is quite a big application.

    Well, I tried amarok2-devel 2.0.90-1 but the problem of graphic layout remains similar, no improvement. Is it normall? Maybe amarok is only available for computer with screen >= 1600x1200  or is there an hidden configuration file where I could tweek this?
