LDAP Data Server

I need to pull xMII user information out of my LDAP database.  Ultimately I'm wanting to create a 'last login' report listing xMII users and when they last logged in.  As part of that I need to know who my xMII users are.
Is there an LDAP data server available for me to make the connection to the database?

David
Since u want to see the xMII User List who have recently Logged on, u can directly see the <b>Active Sessions</b> option under <b>System Management</b> in the xMII Menu.
Here the Active Session displays the list of recent logged xMII users along with his/her login time and expiration time.
You can access to the folder
<b>\ServletExec AS\se-xMII\webapps\default\Lighthammer\WEB-INF\classes\com\lighthammer\Illuminator\services\admin</b> where the SessionList.Class is present.
Also u can look into the folder <b>\ServletExec AS\se-xMII\webapps\default\Lighthammer\Admin</b> where the JSP of Active Session is present.
All those will help u to show the list of xMII User List with their last logged time using JSP

  • Ldap data server connection

    Hi ,
    I am new to oracle data integrator. I have been trying to connect to the active directory using the ldap data server. I am facing problems with the various parameters that are needed to connect to the LDAP using the JNDI connection.
    Could anyone help me out with some example of the various fields that are to be filled for using the users within the ldap.
    Screenshots will be really helpful.
    Thanks & regards,
    Nikhil

  • Retrieve LDAP data in Chunks using DBMS_LDAP

    Need help in getting the LDAP data in Chunks using the DBMS_LDAP. The reason being i have over 8000 records in the AD and it is configured that i cannot retrieve more than 1000 at a stretch.
    The AD administrator had given me an option of fetching it based on the pagesize which they use on AD.
    Dim DirSearcher As New DirectorySearcher()
    DirSearcher.SearchRoot = New DirectoryEntry("LDAP://" & System.Environment.UserDomainName)
    DirSearcher.Filter = "(&(objectclass=user)(objectcategory=person))"
    DirSearcher.PageSize = 1000
    Can we have something like this done in the DBMS_LDAP package to fetch the records in AD in chunks of 1000 records?
    version details
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Prod
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production

    if there are more than 1000 entries which starts with a character, how will this solution work?You would have to incorporate one more loop (and so on, in case it still errors out):
      for c in ascii ('a') .. ascii ('z')
      loop
        for d in ascii ('a') .. ascii ('z')
        loop
          l_retval :=
            dbms_ldap.search_s (ld         => ld
                                base       => base,
                                scope      => dbms_ldap.scope_subtree,
                                filter     => '(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(sAMAccountName=' || chr (c) || chr(d) || '*))',
                                attrs      => attrs,
                                attronly   => 0,
                                res        => res
        end loop;
      end loop;
    ...Not nice I know, but it seems to be the only way to avoid »ORA-31202: DBMS_LDAP: LDAP client/server error: Sizelimit exceeded«.

  • OBIEE 11G 64-Bit Windows LDAP Admin Server Startup Issue

    All,
    I have OBIEE 11G installed on 64-bit Windows, and can see all my LDAP users inside Admin Console just fine. When I reorder my LDAP above the DefaultAuthenticator, and make them both 'SUFFICIENT', my Admin Server no longer starts. It hangs on a line in the AdminServer.log that roughly says '<Security initializing using security realm myrealm.>'. Has anyone ran into this? If so, how do you get the Admin Server to start with a non default LDAP authenticator? I've tried re-ordering numerous ways with the DefaultIdentityAsserter in the middle and at the bottom; I've also tried switching the Control Flags on both with REQUIRED and OPTIONAL, all to no avail. Finally, I tried deleting out the DefaultAuthenticator all together, and it still won't start. At this point, I'm assuming this is another 64-bit issue that was not tested properly. Any thoughts/help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Josh

    Paul,
    Unfortunately that made no difference. I have pasted in the startup log below. Perhaps someone has some insight into what's happening?

  • Capturing LDAP data

    Hello experts! :)
    I'm setting up a Usage Tracking system for a client and so far everything's doing great. One thing they're requesting is if we can acquire the details of the users from LDAP and be able to see all available details in the Usage Monitoring reports. Just to be clear, here's a description of my scenario:
    1. We're doing Authentication with an ADSI LDAP Server, and all pertinent details (e.g. User's full name, team, department, office, email, etc.) are located there.
    2. We'll be implementing an external table authorization for all users.
    3. What we want is to be able to get the information from the LDAP Server and insert them either into the table we're using for authorization, or another table if necessary.
    4. LDAP data can change often and manually updating the table is difficult since there's no trigger for change unless the user, or someone else, notifies their team of the change.
    I've checked the LDAP Synchronization process, but it won't be enough since the data will be inserted into the WLS Embedded LDAP Server and they won't be able to use them in the reports. So far I'd like to know if the following are possible for consideration:
    - create an automatic writeback report that would update the details of the user in the table once he/she logs in
    - import the data of the LDAP Server to a table, much like the synchronization, but the target would be a db table instead of the Embedded LDAP
    I haven't worked much with 10g and I'm still getting the hang of working with 11g, so if any of you have ideas to how I can best resolve this, I would be most grateful for your suggestions. On the other hand, it would also help if you could just tell me outright if you're sure that this is not possible so I could inform our clients that we need to settle for another solution.
    Thank you very much and have a nice day! :)
    Regards,
    Cha

    Hi,
    you can make a writeback enabled report based on the table which holds the username and other user information which can be filtered by the username who is logged in. The user can update the information by entering values in the report which will get updated in the backend user table.
    For fetching information from LDAP server you can setup the SA system subject area and to enter user info in a backend database refer to this link -

  • JMS data server  creation , parameters?

    hi,
    can anybody plz tell how to create jms queue dataserver in ODI.
    I have already created JMS data server in Weblogic 8.1.
    I'm using LDAP protoclol..
    Plz give the format of JNDI url and JNDI resource .
    I'm using JMS Queue ..Not JMS Queue XML ..
    Thanks a lot in advance ..
    user568....delhi

    Find below the process to configure a JMS destination for OC4J.
    You will need to adapt it to you JMS provider.
    To set this up, you will need to:
    1. Copy the necessary client files from OC4J, place them in the <ODI_HOME>/oracledi/drivers directory and restart ODI. The files you need are:
    - <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/oc4jclient.jar
    - <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/lib/javax77.jar
    - <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/lib/jta.jar
    Copy those files and restart ODI.
    2. Create a physical connection (Topology Application/Physical Architecture/Technologies -> right click JMS Queues and select "Insert Data Server")
    3. In the Description tab, simpl fill in the Name field.
    4. In the JNDI tab , fille in the following:
    - JNDI Authentication - Simple
    - JNDI User: application user - this is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL
    - Password: application password - this is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS
    - JNDI Driver: This is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, so enter com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
    - JNDI Url: This is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.PROVIDER_URL, so put in ormi://<hostname>[:<port>]/<application>.
    For instance, with the basic OC4J install, I put in ormi://localhost/default.
    - JNDI Resource: This is the JNDI lookup key for your Queue Connection factory.
    For example, for the default OC4J installation, I put in jms/QueueConnectionFactory
    5. Click the Test button and click OK in the window that pops up. You should get a message box saying that your connection was successful.
    6. Click Apply or OK and a new window will pop up. In this window, go to the Context tab and click the Add button and in the row that appears, click on the right most field (it says <Undefined> and replace <undefined> with a logical name for your connection. Hit Enter and click OK)
    7. You've now connected to the Queue, to create the Queue object in ODI, go to the Designer window, go to models and create a new model.
    8. Set the name to whatever makes sense to you. Set the technology to JMS Queue and the Logical Schema to the logical connection name you created in step 6. In the Reverse tab, select Global from the Context dropdown menu.
    9. Click OK. You now have a container for any Queues that are in this connection.
    10. To point to the queue, right click your new model and select Insert Datastore.
    11. In the new window, name your datastore whatever you'd like. Set the resource name to the JNDI resource name for the queue (for example, with the default OC4J configuration, you could set this to jms/demoQueue.
    12. In the Files tab, set the File Format to fixed, and set the record separator to Windows or Unix (it doesn't really matter which one you pick)
    13. In the Columns tab, click the add button to add a column. Name the column something like DATA and set is to a String of size 1000.
    14. Click OK. You'll now be able to right click this new datastore and view data, granted in a very simple format. You can create a more complex flat file structure if you' like but this gives you a quick and easy to view the contents of the queue.

  • UME LDAP Data - XML file not appearing

    Hi,
    I have configured the readonly ADS with DB for the user authentication. Now I want to restore back to the default datasource configuration (dataSourceConfiguration_database_only.xml). But in the dropdown box in the Configtool >> UME LDAP data under the "Directory Security" tab, I am not able see the config XML file for the DB only. I tried uploading the file, but its saying file already exists. After this I tried deleting the fils from the cluster_data\server\persistent\com.sap.security.core.ume.service and then uplaoded the XML file. Still this is not appearing in the List of Datasources available.
    Can you please let me know how shall I revert the Datasouce to DB only?
    Regards,
    Debasis

    Hi,
      Go to ConfigTool -> Global Server Configuration -> Services -> com.sap.security.core.ume.service.
    You can change the value of ume.persistence.data_source_configuration to dataSourceConfiguration_database_only.xml.
    Regards,
    Siva
    P.S: Award points if you find this useful.

  • Dynamic Creation of Physical Data Server / Agent cache Refresh

    Scenario:
    I have a requirement to load data from xml source to oracle DB, and the xml source will change at run time,but the xsd of the xml would remain same ( so I don't have to change the Logical data Server, models, mappings, interfaces and scenarios - only the Physical Data Server will change at runtime).I have created all the ODI artifacts using ODI studio in my Work Repo and then I'm using odi sdk to create the physical dataserver for the changed xml data source and then invoking the agent programmatically.
    Problem:
    The data is being loaded from the xml source to oracle DB for the first time, but it is not working fine from the second time onwards. If I restart the agent, it is again working fine for one more time. on the first run, I think the agent maintains some sort of cache for the physical data server details and so when ever I change the data server, something is going wrong and that is leading to the following exception. So I want to know, if there is any mechanism to handle dynamic data servers or if there is any way of clearing the agent cache, if any.

    Hi ,
    If you want to load multiple files ( same structure) through one connection then in topology create M.XSD for M.XML file
    Create three directories
    RAW -- It will contain file with original name
    PRO- Processing area where file will be moved one by one & renamed it as M.XML.
    OUT- Once file data will be loaded into tables move the file M.XML from PRO to OUT.
    Go to odiexperts to create loop,
    Use odifilemove ( to move & rename/masking) to move A.XML from RAW to PRO & rename to M.XML
    use ODIfilemove to move M.XML to OUT folder & then rename back to A.XML
    Use variables to store file names & refresh
    NoneType' object has no attribute 'createStatement' : It seems that structure of your file is different & your trying to load different files in same schema. If stucture is same then use Procedure "SYNCHRONIZE ALL" after every load...

  • SAP MII 14.0 SP5 Patch 11 - Error has occurred while processing data stream Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server

    Hello All,
    We are using a two tier architecture.
    Our Corp server calls the refinery server.
    Our CORP MII server uses user id abc_user to connect to the refinery data server.
    The user id abc_user has the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role.
    The data server also has the checkbox for allow dynamic query enabled.
    But we are still getting the following error
    Error has occurred while processing data stream
    Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server; Use query template
    Once we add the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role to the data server everything works fine. Is this feature by design ?
    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Thanks Anushree !!
    I thought that just adding the role to the user and enabling the dynamic query checkbox on the data server should work.
    But we even needed to add the role to the data server.
    Thanks,
    Kiran

  • ODI XML data server error while creating External databse tables.

    Hi,
    i am trying to create External database tables using XML data server.

    RK,
    With no details of how you configured the XML server, what were the parameters used in the configuration for using external database, etc, I dont know how much can someone help you.
    This is an Oracle error, so a few things that could be problematic with your "big" xml -
    1.) An element name could be of length > 30 characters (Oracle table name length limit is 30)
    2.) There are some special characters in the element name
    3.) Element name begins with a Number
    4.) Element name is an Oracle reserved word.
    This list can go on.

  • What should i put in Schme while creating Data server for XML

    I am new to XML and ODI also.
    I was trying to create a data server for XML technology.
    I don't know what should i specify as a schmea in JDBC URL.
    e.g. jdbc:snps:xml?f=../demo/xml/1/file.xml&ro=false&ldoc=true&case_sens=true&s=LEO_FIZ&dod=true
    here schema is LEO_FIZ, so my doubts is LEO_FIZ is a database schema or what ??
    Please help me out.

    The schema referred to here is going to be used by the XML driver for the instantiation of the temporary schema used for the xml data. It can be any name, I recommend you keep it short, as if you use an external database for the XML data instantiation it is used as a part of the "table" names.

  • Error while creating data server to connect into Hyperion Financial Manag.

    Hi Cezar and others gurus,
    I need some help in the follow issue:
    I imported the technologie HFM (hyperion financial management) and it`s now displayed normally in the Physical and Logical architecture.
    The drivers imported are: HFMdriver.dll
    log4j-1.2.8.jar
    odi_hfm.jar
    odihapp_common.jar
    And also imported the KMs about HFM.
    Everything doing fine but when i try to create a data server into Physical Architecture, and went to test it, two different errors are shown (below).
    i've already read many documentations but they didn't help.
    I have ODI 10.1.3.4.0 and the hyperion server is working fine.
    ODI server, my ODI client and HFM are located in the local machine.
    In the "Topology manager" in "Physical Architecture" under the "Hyperion Financial Management" I try to create "Data Server" and in the definition tab I filled "Name", "Server" (without port), "User", "Password".
    In the JDBC tab I did nothing.
    I go test and the errors appears.
    In the physical schema in the definition tab I cannot fill the items "Application (Catalog)", "Application (Work catalog)" because they don`t have any option and i let them "undefined"
    When i select "Local (no agent)",receive the error:
    Connection failed
    Java.lang.SQLException: Driver must be specified
    java.sql.SQLException: Driver must be specified

    Good morning Cts and other gurus,
    Thanks for the answer but i'm still not able to connect to HFM.
    I am getting an error while trying to reverse engineer (this errors is shown at Agent): error ocurred in driver while connecting to HFM [<undefined>] on [apphyp] using user-name [sql_hyp].
    Caused by: com.hyperion.odi.hfm.wrapper.HFMexception: opening HFM application failed. Error code: 0x80046053 [This application is not registered with Hyperion Shared Services. Please contact your administrator]
    You told me that it`s normal the error when i try to test the data server but both Application (catalog) and Application (Work) stay <undefined> and nothing can be select in that section. I guess this should be completed with my existing applications ate HFM.
    Probably, the error mentioned happens because this item "Application" isn`t correct.
    What am i missing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Daniel Hein

  • Using XML File as a Data Server

    OK - here's my scenario:
    - Have an XML file that I am holding parameters (i.e log file folder) in
    - I have set the XML file as a data server (which test connects OK) and created physical and logical schemas in Topology Manager
    - In Designer, have created a data model for this file
    What I am trying to do is populate/refresh a global variable with a value from the XML file; however, when I make a change to the value in the XML file, the value does not get passed into the variable.
    In the global variable, it is set to refresh from the xml data source and in a package I am using a variable step set to refresh but still the data does not update with the current values in the file.
    Couple of other things - if I go to the data model and view the data, it sees the value that is in the xml file but the variable is not getting the same value - it seems to be using some kind of cached value. Also, if I close any open ODI apps (Designer, Operator, etc.) and re-open, the values (sometimes) seem to reflect what is in the file.
    Crux of the post - am I missing something so obvious that I cannot see it or has anyone else experienced this kind of issue.
    Thanks,
    Gee

    OK - I got this working but in order to do this I followed some info from another post and changed the structure of the XML.
    Previously, it was structured as:
    <params>
    <param>
    <name>Test1</name>
    <value>Some Value</value>
    </param>
    <param>
    <name>Test2</name>
    <value>Some Value2</value>
    </param>
    </params>
    Now I have changed it to:
    <params>
    <param name="Test1" value="Some Value" />
    <param name="Test2" value="Some Value2" />
    </params>
    I also added the dod=true value into the JDCB url.
    Now, one of these circumstances fixed my issue (of which I am very glad) but I don't know which one :-) .... and I currently don't have the time to find out.
    I may investigate this further in the future (and post accordingly).
    Thanks,
    G

  • ODI 11g : JMS Queue XML Data Server creation

    Hi Everybody,
    I am facing a problem while i am trying to create a JMS Queue XML data server in ODI 11g. I have
    the following details of the queue.
    QueueManager=xxx;
    TransportType=1;
    HostName=ab.cde.fe.com;Port=77777;
    Channel=CLIENT.TO.xxx1
    destination name : SU.BH.RAJY.OTI.UPDATE_ITEM_RESPONSE.01
    user : xyz
    password : 123
    I have sussefully created an jms datasouce in weblogic name 'eis/jms/abc' and also I have successfully
    retrived the xml message from queue in BPEL
    (using a jms adapter where
    JMS Provider : Third Party,
    Jms Provider Jndi Name -eis/jms/abc,
    Operation name : consume_message,
    destinamtion name is queue:///SU.BH.RAJY.OTI.UPDATE_ITEM_RESPONSE.01?targetClient=1).
    But the new reqirement is to retive the xml data in ODI using "JMS Queue XML data server".I have tried
    several ways(reading from internet) but failed to configure physical dataserver and reverse the xml message.
    Also failed to understand properly the oracle post (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integrate.1111/e12644/jms_xml.htm#CHDFCFBI).
    Speically this portion "JNDI URL: <JMS_RESOURCE>?d=<DTD_FILE>&s=<SCHEMA>&JMS_DESTINATION=<JMS_DESTINATION_NAME>.".
    What will be the "JMS_RESOURCE" in my case.
    How can I configure JMS Queue XML?
    Please help!
    Note : I don't have the XML message structure of the Queue(also DTD file). So , I have to reverse it.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Subhra
