LDAP Search returns only 1200 records

Hi!
I'm having trouble searching an LDAP registry containing about 20 000 records. If I configure a search that should return about 15000 records I only get 1200 with the following error message when iterating through the NamingEnumeration:
Unexpected exception occured at record 1200: javax.naming.SizeLimitExceededExcep
tion: [LDAP: error code 4 - Sizelimit Exceeded]; remaining name 'o=ericsson'

Hi,
Two possible reasons:
1. The size of the search results returned would have been controlled by the directory services administrator (Cross- check with the dir. services administrative options.
2. Have you set the size limit programatically... using SearchControls.setSizeLimit(...) you should be using
SearchControls.setSizeLimit(0) which returns all the results.
Hope this hleps,

  • Return only one record at a time

    I am new to crystal reports so any help would be appreciated.  I have a .net app that is a order processing system.  When the user is in a record, they want to be able to click on a button an open a crystal report showing only that orders details.  I created a crystal report that has the following fields:
    Order ID, Product ID, Unit Price, Sell Price, Hours.
    The Order ID is the primary key in the database.  The report runs fine when clicking the report button in the app, but returns the details for every order in the database.  We just need the details of the order that the user is processing.  How do I setup the report to only show that order's details?  I am using VB 2005 and Crystal v9.

    Brian,
    Thank you for all your help.  I have been able to setup the report to return only one record at a time. In my app, when I click the report button the PDF opens perfectly with only one record.  However, when I go to another record and open the PDF it returns the information from the record id that was set as the default parameter value (crReportDocument.SetParameterValue("Orders", 67).  How do I get it to return the report for a different record?  Here is the code I'm using.  I think I'm really close with your suggestions but I'm just missing one step.
    #Region "CrystalReport"

         '''Override the CrystalReportButton_Click and call DisplayReportAsPDF_CrystalReportButton function

          Dim fileName As String = "test.rpt"
          Try
              If fileName.Substring(1).StartsWith(":\") Then
              crReportDocument.Load(fileName)
          Else
              crReportDocument.Load(Me.Page.MapPath(fileName))
          End If
          Catch ex As Exception
              Dim errMsg As String = ex.Message.Replace(Chr(13).ToString(), "").Replace(Chr(10).ToString(), "")
              errMsg += " Please make sure the dlls for Crystal Report are compatible with the Crystal Report file."
              BaseClasses.Utils.MiscUtils.RegisterJScriptAlert(Me, "BUTTON_CLICK_MESSAGE", errMsg)
          End Try
          Try
    Dim paramValue As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue = New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue()
               paramValue.Value = "67"
               crReportDocument.SetParameterValue("Orders", 67)
    DisplayReportAsPDF_CrystalReportButton(crReportDocument)
          Catch ex As Exception
              Dim errMsg As String = ex.Message.Replace(Chr(13).ToString(), "").Replace(Chr(10).ToString(), "")

  • Dg4odbc 11.2 to mysql desc table issue, query return only one record

    <h2>Hi,
    I have the following set up:
    11g R2 RAC oracle database, dg4odbc 11.2, UnixODBC 2.3 driver manager, MySQL ODBC 5.1.7 Driver on 64 bit Suse SLES 11 server.
    Remote database MySQL version 5.0.67 running on 32 bit linux server.
    I am having the following Issues:
    1. When desc table, sometimes only the first field is shown:
    SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    Some other times I am able to see the correct table definition:
    SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    sess_id NUMBER(10)
    sess_yr NUMBER(10)
    subject_name VARCHAR2(255)
    SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    2. Select count(*) returns the total number of rows correctly. Select * or Select "field name" from table returns only one row:
    SQL> select count(*) from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker;
    COUNT(*)
    2
    SQL> select "user_id", "email" from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker; _(always return only one record!)_
    user_id email
    1 [email protected]
    Has anybody seen this? Can somebody help me pinpoint the problem? Thank you!

  • ADS search returns only 1000 nodes...

    Executing a search against the root node of ADS returns only 1000 objects despite the fact that that we have done searchControls.setCountLimit(0). We are using a non-anonymous connection which, in fact, is using an non-administrator's DN and password to login. When we use a non-anonymous connection which uses an administrator's DN and password, we get 2000 entries returned--so we have confidence that some setting inside ADS is the problem.
    Anyone know exactly what we need to tweak within ADS to allow us to get back a truly unlimited number of "hits" when searching?
    Thanks,

  • Endeca returns only 15 records, while TotalNumAggrERecs = 20

    Hi,
    If I execute an Endeca query with a particular N-value in C#, then the Navigation query of the ENEQueryResults contains TotalNumAggrERecs = 20 and AggrERecs.Count = 15. How is it possible that Endeca returns a list of only 15 aggregated records, while the number of aggregated records is 20?
    According to the Endeca Basic Development Guide, you should use
    • the Navigation.TotalNumAggrERecs to get the number of aggregated records that matched the navigation query
    • the Navigation.AggrERecs to retrieve a list of aggregated records returned by the navigation query
    I would therefore assume that the number of AggrERecs would match the TotalNumAggrERecs.
    Extra info:
    • other queries (the same code, but another N-value) return results with matching result.Navigation.TotalNumAggrERecs and result.Navigation.AggrERecs.Count. Also, the printscreen above shows an exception in SyncRoot. I thought this exception causes to only return 15 records instead of 20, but this exception also occurs on queries where the both Navigation.TotalNumAggrERecs and Navigation.AggrERecs.Count are the same.
    • the same query in the "6.1 Oracle Endeca - JSP Reference Implementation" tool returns 20 aggregated records.
    • So far, my conclusion is that there are 20 records, but Endeca returns only the first 15. I have however no clue how to solve this. Suggestions on how to investigate this issue are very welcome!

  • SQL- Query that return only one record

    Hello,
    is it possible to execute a pure SQL-Query which returns only one row although multiple rows are found.
    It is no problem in PL/SQL, but I have no idea if the same is also possible in SQL.
    thanks in advance
    Michael

    Why not? There are 4 records in this table, but only selected one.

  • Need to return only one record from select statement.

    Hello friends,
    I have a scenerio in which code only want to fetch one value from the SQL statement, but in some cases the statment return more then one row due to which ORA-01422 : Exact fetch return more then one row, error comes.
    Can you suggest me to write a select statement that will handel this. I am using the below mentioned select statement:
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE
    'SELECT rsdn FROM ' || schema || '.table_name' ||
    ' WHERE a = :1 AND b = :2 AND c IN (32,33,34)'
    INTO v_rsdn USING v_a, v_b;
    One question, Can I use Rownum < 2 in Where clause to restrict the select output to only one record ? Please suggest ?
    Regards,
    Rajat

    Well, if rownum=1 could be a trash answer, it would be an issue since we don't know which record you are interested to. Is it one particular ? Is it only to workaround the issue ? Then you may want to manage some BULK COLLECT or whatever else array to receive all the rows as well.
    What are you doing with the rows returned ?

  • Document Search returned only single doc. WLP7

    Dear all,
    I am facing a problem when I am using document management with WLP 7.0.
    We created three documents as following:
    doc1
    doc1.md.properties
    doc2
    doc2.md.properties
    doc3
    doc3.md.properties
    For each doc metadata we have
    DROP_DOWN_LIST_NAME="dropdown1"
    VALUE=SOMEVALUE(different for each doc)
    When we were trying to use the following code for search, we are
    expecting to retrive the above three documents, but in fact,
    we got only the first one returned. What's wrong with our implementation?
    DocumentManagerHome documentManagerHome = (DocumentManagerHome)jndiContext.lookup(
    "java:comp/env/ejb/DocumentManager" );
    DocumentManager documentManager = documentManagerHome.create();
    String searchString = "DROP_DOWN_LIST_NAME == 'dropdown1'";
    Expression searchExpression = ExpressionHelper.parse( searchString );
    Search search = new Search( null, -1, "", searchExpression );
    Enumeration searchResults = documentManager.getContent( search);
    if( searchResults.hasMoreElements() ) {
    Document document = (Document) searchResults.nextElement();
    System.out.println("Search Result: " + document.getPropertyAsString(document.RESERVED_PROPERTY_SET,
    "VALUE"));
    Any help would be great appriciated.
    Harry

    Harry -
    You might be encountering the content caching that occurs internally. If
    you added doc1, ran loaddocs, ran the query, got back doc1, then added
    docs2 and 3, ran loaddocs, ran the query, you would probably still get
    back only doc1 for awhile, untill the cache timed out. Try turing off
    metadata cache on the default DocumentManager via the WLP console
    extensions (see e-docs). Or, you can try doing a
    search.setContextParam("p13n.noCache", "true") in your code to turn it
    off for that one search.
    Otherwise, check the database tables (DOCUMENT and DOCUMENT_METADATA) to
    make sure that the data is getting loaded correctly.

  • Join two Connect By Prior Start With trees and return only common records?

    Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2)
    I have two tables that have tree structured data. The results, when running the queries individually are correct, however I need to join tree one to tree two in order to obtain only the common records between them.
    -- Tree one
    SELECT ip_entity_name, entity_code, hier_level, entity_parent
    FROM ip_hierarchy
    WHERE hier_level >= 3
    CONNECT BY PRIOR entity_code = entity_parent
    START WITH entity_code = 'MEWWD';
    -- Tree two
    SELECT ip_entity_name, entity_code, hier_level, entity_parent
    FROM ipt_hierarchy
    WHERE hier_level >= 3
    CONNECT BY PRIOR entity_code = entity_parent
    START WITH entity_code = 'IPNAM';
    As I understand, joins may not work with CONNECT BY/START WITH queries?
    Is a WITH clause an option?
    If at all possible, I don't want to put one select in a View database object and join against the other query.
    Thanks.

    Hi JTP51,
    You can use WITH clause or sub-query by using in-line view, without creating any view object in database.
    for example
    SELECT A.IP_ENTITY_NAME, A.ENTITY_CODE, ....
      FROM (SELECT IP_ENTITY_NAME, ENTITY_CODE, HIER_LEVEL, ENTITY_PARENT
              FROM IP_HIERARCHY
             WHERE HIER_LEVEL >= 3
            CONNECT BY PRIOR ENTITY_CODE = ENTITY_PARENT
             START WITH ENTITY_CODE = 'MEWWD') A,
           (SELECT IP_ENTITY_NAME, ENTITY_CODE, HIER_LEVEL, ENTITY_PARENT
              FROM IPT_HIERARCHY
             WHERE HIER_LEVEL >= 3
            CONNECT BY PRIOR ENTITY_CODE = ENTITY_PARENT
             START WITH ENTITY_CODE = 'IPNAM') B
    WHERE A. ENTITY_CODE = B. ENTITY_CODE
    AND ....Best regards,

  • Returning only records that have no entry in a specific field

    Hello,
    I'm new to this forum and relatively new to Crystal Reports, so I apologize if this information is "plain as day" somewhere.  I've been hunting for this info for quite a while and can't find anything that makes sense!
    I am trying to put together a very simple report that will return only records where a certain field is blank.
    It is an Access database, in an information management program specific to our type of business.  CR 11 software was included with the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), as the reports generated from the LIMS software are in CR.  I've learned enough to be able to tweak reports and make some basic reports, but I can't find a simple answer to what I think is a simple question!
    I have the report set up to access the following fields in the database:  Invoice number, Client name, Due date, Invoice amount, and Payment Received.  This will be used as a "cross check" - not as any major accounting tool - as the Payment Received field is simply the date that the payment was received.  If no payment has been received, the field is left blank.
    I want the report to return ONLY those records where that field is blank (i. e. a list of invoices/clients whose payment has not yet been received).
    Ideally, I would also like to be able to return only those records where that field is blank OR within a certain date range (i. e. less than 30 days from the date that the report is run).  However, we'll probably only use this report a couple of times a month, so that is not as critical.
    I know I need to filter the records according to the Payment Received field, but don't know how to construct a formula that says "just show the fields where there is nothing entered."
    Thank you!
    Brenda

    This is the hardest function to find:  IsNull
    If isNull(field) then
        //  if the above fails on a numberic field or text field then see the following two-some databases are picky.
    If IsNull(field) or field=0 then  //this one maybe needed for a numeric field
    If IsNull(field) or field=""    //  this one maybe needed for a text field
    if IsNull(field) or field=<value>
    or
    if IsNull(field) or field like <value*>
    You always want the IsNull statement to be the first statement, and it is especially usefull when testing for not equal
    If IsNull(field) or field <>  <value>

  • How to get all records using Invoke-webrequest?/Why Invoke-webrequest returns only first 2000 Records?

    invoke-webrequest content returning only 2000 records though it has around 4000 records in web api.
    The same url if I give in excel oData Data feed I am getting all the records.
    See the below script
    Script:
    $QueryResult= (Invoke-WebRequest -Uri $ODataURI -UseDefaultCredentials)
    [xml]$xmlResult=$QueryResult.content
    foreach($obj in $xmlResult.feed.entry.content.properties)
    $Name=$obj.Name;
    $IsAvail=$obj.isAvail.'#text';
    $PGroup=$obj.PGroup
    I am exporting the above result as a CSV file and my CSV file contains only 2000 records.
    But,  $xmlResult.feed.Count --> it Shows 4000 Records.
    The same Odata url if I give in excel oData Data feed I am getting all the 4000 records.
    So Please help me how can I get all the records using power shell.
    Thanks

    Hi Jo Swa(K.P.Elayaraja)-MCP,
    Would you please also post code which is used to export the records?
    In addition, to use the cmdlet invoke-RestMethod to work on ODate feeds, please refer to this article:

    I am using bulk collect with limit clause but the problem is:
    a: Limit clause is returning only 1000 records.
    b: It is taking too much time to process.

    Below is my query. My intention is to return only the records that fail the test, but it is returning all the records that failed the test and also those that passed the Test. See below

  • Search function only returns the first entryinstead of 2600

    Hi all,
    I am using JDNI to search in a iPlanet LDAP. This is the code:
    String filter = "(objectclass=TDC-Empleado)";
    NamingEnumeration resultados;
    SearchControls limitacionesBusqueda=new SearchControls();
    limitacionesBusqueda.setSearchScope(SearchControls.SUBTREE_SCOPE);
    results = ctx.search("o=TDC",filter,limitacionesBusqueda);
    I know with another tool that this filter works but the search function only returns the first entry!!!
    Somebody can help me ?
    TIA
    Manuel

    humm.
    Sets ctx.setCountLimit(long), or else checks the "size limit" of your iplanet server (size limit: number of entries returned to the client application).
