Legacy Problem - old Radio Buttons (AS1)

A few years ago I built a Flash learning application that
used the UI Radio Button component. I have just been asked to make
some changes.
Now I am using Flash Pro CS3, and when I output the edited
Flash, the Radio Buttons no longer work, as Flash CS3 doesn't
appear to suport radio buttons prior to AS2.
Can anyone provide a simple conversion method, or a way to
get the old radio buttons working again? I have tried a few things,
but not working.
Need help - FAST ;-)
Thanks
Geoff

  • Problem with Radio Button

    Dear Expert,
I had a problem while using the syntax SUBMIT.
I created a report which displays in Grid. In output we have Material Number, Plant, Storage Location, Date.
By clicking the Material Number, I am submitting to RM07MLBD (MB5B) with material number, plant, storage location and selection date. But some times when clicking the material number, its going to dump giving as "More than one radio button active"
I can call the Transaction by Call Transaction MB5B, But i need to send the Date also. When sending the Storage Location, in MB5B Transaction we had to activate the Stock Type (Storage Locatin/Batch Lock) Radio Button.  But giving the dump.
Please help me to solve this issue.
Kindly give me any other way to call MB5B transaction.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Problem with Radio Buttons: At Selection-Screen

    Hi,
i have two radio-buttons in my screen with coding
    PARAMETERS:
ST RADIOBUTTON GROUP rad1 DEFAULT 'X',         "stock transport
PR RADIOBUTTON GROUP rad1.                     "purchase return
    at selection-screen output.
    if PR = 'X'.
    perform f_selection_request_po_ret.
    endif.
    if ST = 'X'.
    perform f_selection_request_stck_trans.
    endif.
    at selection-screen on value-request for s_ebeln-low.
    perform f_f4_values.
    at selection-screen on value-request for s_ebeln-high.
    perform f_f4_values.
I need to provide different values in drop-down of select-options according to the radio-button selected.
Like if PR is selected s_ebeln-low and s_ebeln-high displayed will be different.
and if ST is selected s_ebeln-low and s_ebeln-high displayed will be different.
My problem is that the program is taking the values of that radio button which is set to Default. While running the program, if I click on the other radio-button, it is showing the same values, not different.
Kindly, tell me where I am going wrong in the coding.
    Regards,
    Priyanka.

For this requirement you have to use the following FM's

The one highlighted is the one you need to call in the selection screen events to get the values. Do a where used list on this FM and see how its being used.

In my form, i have 2 radio buttons. if i click one radio button it opens one canvas and enter some data and when i press OK button there, it will come back to original canvas.at this movement selected radio button should be deselected.
If i click 2nd radio button it also opens another canvas and enter some data and when i press OK button there, it will come back to its original canvas.at this movement selected radio button should be deselected.
when come back to its original canvas, is there any chance of deselecting both radio buttons at a time. ie. at any point of time customer may select any one. no one is default . i need that methodology. it is possible? if so, give me code for it.
    regards

    Hi,
you can use a third radio button and set it to be invisible. Whenever you want your two visible buttons to be deselected simply set the value to your third button value.

  • Problem with Radio Buttons

I am trying to get information from a radio button when a button is clicked. When it runs and I click the Add button, it doesn't recognize that a radio button is selected. The Large button is supposed to add 10 dollars to your price and the Regular is supposed to add 7 dollars. Each toppin adds .75 to your price. Any ideas or help would be great.

Have you tried printing out the ActionCommand you are comparing to in your ActionEvent method? Since the event is thrown from your doIt buttton, it will never be "Regular"...
You have to test to see if the BRegular JRadioButton is selected with BRegular.isSelected().

  • Problem with radio button and labels

    Hi Team,
I have defined the LOV for a form field as STATIC:yes;y,no;n and in 2 columns.
This is what I get at runtime
    <table>
    <tr><td nowrap="nowrap"><input type="radio" name="p_v07" value="n" id="P18_USED_PRODUCTS_0" />
    <label for="P18_USED_PRODUCTS_0">no</label></td>
    <td nowrap="nowrap"><input type="radio" name="p_v07" value="y" id="P18_USED_PRODUCTS_1" />
    <label for="P18_USED_PRODUCTS_1">yes</label></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
I want Yes to be the first button. How can I do that? I can with a LOV, but "static" is easier for trivial things like y/n etc.

    Raymond,
You can use the keyword STATIC2 instead of STATIC to render the options in the order you code them.

  • Radio buttons and PHP

I am having a problem getting radio button data into php and I can not seem to find any answers. My project is simple I have a group of radio buttons, when one is selected and a submit button is pressed I want the data from the radio button to populate the subject line of an email and send it. It sounds simple but I am having a lot of problems figuring it out and would appreciate any help I can get. I am good (not great) with flash, ok with PHP but for some reason this is taking a long time to fugure out. I can make a form work with input fields but not with radio button data.

Use variables, not the text field var option from the Properties panel... not a reliable resource.  Give the textfield an instance name and use its text property to assign the value to a variable.
I haven't dealt with AS2 to PHP much, but are you using the LoadVars class to manage getting the data to the PHP file?  I think the send() or sendAndLoad() methods are what you want to use.
If you search Google using "AS2 LoadVars" you are likely to find a number of helpful tutorials, including those that focus on PHP being in the picture.

  • JavaScript in  error when using radio buttons

I'm using CS3 with ASP to insert a long form into an access database.
When I try to get DW to build the INSERT statement, I get the following error:
"While executing onLoad in Insert Record.htm, the folloing JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 1202 of file C:\Program files .....\Shared\EditOperation.js: TypeError:tagList[j].type has no properties"
I've narrowed it down to a problem with radio buttons. I've commented out all the radio buttons, and the build goes smoothly. Uncomment just one radio button, and the error comes back. I've checked the EditOperations.js file and that section does deal with radio buttons.
The problem seems only to occur on this page.
I'm tempted to just use yes/no dropdown boxes instead, but that's clunky.
I've done all the recommended fixes: deleted the user config file, rebuilt the site cache, deleted all extensions. I've removed all javascript functions from the page etc.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks, bill

You almost certainly have a corrupted cache file. See Deleting a corrupted cache file.
By the way, you could have found this information much more quickly by visiting the Dreamweaver FAQ.

  • Radio button in a Table -Only one row/radio button selection to be possible

    Hi experts,
I have a requirement from customer to have a radio button inside a table of a WebDynpro ABAP application. For example, a table containing list of mobile numbers.
    The columns has
Mobile Model, Cost, Company name, and a radio button named choice.
Only one record and hence one radio button can be chosen at a given time.
When the user clicks on the radio button choice corresponding to the row of the mobile of his choice, the row should get lead selected .
When the user chooses a different choice radio button (corresponding to another mobile) the old radio button choice should get deselected, new row and its radio button should be lead selected.
Can you give me the code how to deselect the remaining radio buttons when a user selects on one Radio button

    Hi Sandeep ,
Have a look at the events of table UI element and its paramaters , Here's the link.
    [Link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/2d/390e422dfcde2ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm]
The event 'Onselect' or 'OnLeadSelect' provides 4 standard paramaters , out of which , OLD_LEAD_SELECTION/OLD_ROW_ELEMENT is one of them.
So you could use this element and set the attribute value (Which is bound to the radio button) to abap_false.
Although I am not sure as to which event ight trigger ( ON_LEAD_SELECT / ON_SELECT ).:)
    Thanks,
    Aditya.

  • Having problem to get the value from radio button

i am doing my double module project for my degree course and i am also a newbie in JSP. Hope there is someone can help me to solve this problem. Now, i set the value of a radio button to "don't smoke", "smoke lightly", and "smoke heavily". Then i use request.getParameter ("smoking behavior") to get the value selected by the user, but the result is only "don't" or "smoke", which the character after spacing will be not be retrieved. I dun know how to solve it, so can any expert here help me to solve this problem? Thanks for helping.

Why do you have to use whitespace. If your radio button group is name smokingBehavior - no whitespace, wouldn't it just make sence to have values of don't, lightly and heavily. This would solve the problem easily. If your teacher is being a pain in the a&!, and requires you to use whitespace for your naming variables I guess you could insert %20 between the two words and unescape the value on the server side. This seems like a lot of unnecessary work and a silly solution - good luck!
