Length restriction on literal value for constant defined declaratively

When defining a program data item which is a constant varchar2(120) - I am restricted to a default value of length 60 (about 50 short of requirements). Does any one know why this length restriction is applied. Is there an intention to remove this limitation?

1. In Forms 6i, there is a limit of 255 characters on the FORMS60_PATH. The
forms runtime crashes, if the length becomes 256 characters or more.
This is documented in Note 125007.1 Access Violation in Ora805.dll Caused By
Forms When Forms60_path Longer Than 255 Chars
2. In Forms 9i/10g, the limitation is 511 characters. If FORMS90_PATH contains
512 or more characters, it is ignored. ORACLE_HOME cannot be more than 39 characters long.
3. In Forms 10.1.2, the limit has been increased, that is, FORMS_PATH length has been doubled (1024).
The new limit for ORACLE_HOME is 68 characters.
A workaround

You can create a structure for that constant .
You can define in this way
CONSTANTS : BEGIN OF c_pstkey,
                         01 TYPE bschl VALUE '01',
                         02 TYPE bschl VALUE '02',
                      END OF c_pstkey.
and can access using...
c_pstkey-01, c_pstkey-02 ........

It still working on IE, but my customers are asking me why stop work on Firefox.
I use Firefox 15.0.1 as my default browser and I'm trying to do the same into the company.

If you're trying to set a CSS Style measurement property with Javascript, you need to specify the measurement unit (eg "px", "%", "em", etc as you do in CSS) as a string. Passing an integer (without the measurement unit) into the property value causes the error.
Example:

How to restrict the attribute values for the user in query designer

I have a requirment where certain user would see certain vailes in the query desiner of the attribute.
The requirment is we have planing material which is attribute of material
When X user want to restrict the values for planning material ,where he is able to see all the planning material.But who is not authorized for all the value.
Ex: X user has authorization for see planning material 100,101,102. of material But when he try to restrict the planning material in query designer where is getting all values of planing material.
Or
is there way to blank the restriction help.so that he can't able to see values while restricting

Let me sum up:
you have an object ZPLNMAT for the planning material
you have the object 0MATERIAL for material and this object has ZPLNMAT as attribute.
If you can restrict in the query designer, I suppose this attribute is then as navigationnal and also added in the multi-provider.
The object ZPLNMAT is checked as relevant for authorization, and you set up a role with the attached values of ZPLNMAT this user should have access to.
Are you sure the users are restricting on the ZPLNMAT object and not 0MATERIAL, because you should have everything now

How to restrict the Null Values for Key Figules in the Bex Query

Hi Friends,
 I want to restrict the Null values of a perticular key figure in the Bex Query Output.
I will explain in details. i have 3 key figures in my query.. let us assume.. key1 key2key3
key1 key2 key3
4 4 100.00
5 0 200.00
1 0 19.00
0 1 10.00
i don't want to see the the records for which key 2 is 0.
we have a setting in the Bex Query for restricting the Zero values in the query properties. If we enable that setting it will show
4 4 100.00
but i want the report to display..
4 4 100.00
0 1 10.00
can any body guide me. i want to display the values if key2 <> 0.

Using a selection option Var on a restricted list of values for a char

hi all,
i am trying to use a selection option variable in a restricted list of values in a characteristic. for example. company code has the following values:
1) GB01
2) GB02
3) GB03
4) MY01
5) SG01
and so on.....
Now, i would like to restrict the list of values into GB01, GB02 and MY01.
and based on this restricted list, i will again need a variable to do a selection option in the report.
Do you think this is possible? what will be the solution to this?
i have tried to restricted it with 2 variables but it doesnt allow that.

QE71 -F4 Values for user defined fields in inspection points

Hi,
I have used QAPP_CUST_IP_F4 function module to list F4 values in Inspection points and QAPP_CUST_IP_CHECK for validation of those user fields.
When configured for an inspection point, these modules are working fine when we use in QA32 and QE51n. But when we use QE71, the FM's does not getting called.
Is there any configuration needed to make them work in QE71?

Same kind of issue we have faced in one of my implementation ie when we used to do the RR through QA32 system allows us to show the F4 which is assigned for that inspection point. But same F4 help was not working during rr through QE71.
For this issue we haven't applied any note by debugging in QE71 fixing call function he done some changes in the assigned FM
after that its appered in QE71 100% it will flow in QE71 also without NOTE.

You cannot provide default values for any attributes defined in the FormMetaData.xml file. You can only provide default values for fields defined in the User Defined Fields and supply a default value.
You can using entity adapters to populate some of the values, but you must supply an Organization because there is an entity adapter that you cannot modify that verifies the organization name.

Now in my project,we are developping Batch Input function about PO,CONF in SRM 4.0.
and in this time, we will use over 20 user defined fields.so we have to enter the value to user defined fields by using Batch Input function.
But if we will enter over the 10 value for user defined fields,we have to scroll the screen.
How do I scroll in SRM?(What's the command to scroll in SRM)

Hi
I'll try to access a website http://sinaica2.ine.gob.mx/magic/rmart but Firefox 8.X and 9.X dont show me a frame inside the middle of the new window, but any other browser also an older version of Firefox does well.
Firebug reports me a warning "Expected end of value but found ':'. Error in parsing value for display. Declaration dropped.
Any clue for solving this issue?

Yes, I can confirm that it works with Firefox 7 and not with later Firefox versions including the current Nightly build.
That CSS error isn't related to that problem AFAICT. 
Looks that Firefox doesn't run the JavaScript in that frame to replace it with that content frame.
