Lennovo T60 with Win 8.1 Pro: Bluetooth not working

Hi,
I have a T60 with win 8.1 pro. Bluetooth menu doesnt show up in device manager or under the PC and Devices.
Please help to get the bluetooth menu on PC, I need to connect a microsoft bluetooth mouse.

Hello,
I tried sending a picture file from an old samsung phone first through bluetooth and it paired with the device but would never allow me to send it through. I then tried it with my Xperia X10 and i wasn't able to send anything through bluetooth on this either.
It says on my Macbook Pro that it is paired but when i try connecting to send the file it won't allow it for some reason...?
if someone could help i would appreciate it a lot.

Yes, I'm having this problem and its so frustrating. Bluetooth can't find any devices. I've tried everything. All the support recommendations, "fix-it", services settings, bla bla bla, etc. etc. etc. Nothing has worked.
It started after installing a bigger drive (750GB) into my MBP. Restoring windows 7 from my backup did not work because it reset the Windows drive back to its original size - why can't MS get anything right???!!!
So I had to reinstall Windows 7 from scratch. At first it found my bluetooth mouse but could not connect with it properly - i.e. no response to the mouse after adding it to bluetooth devices.
I followed a suggestion to set the bluetooth service to start automatically and from then on, absolutely nothing has worked!!! No matter what I do, uninstall, install all bluetooth services, drivers, etc. etc., as well as trying Broadcom utility. Its so frustrating because it once worked. What is with windows that bluetooth should completely shut down all functionality like this??? (It still works fine booting into OS X.)

I don't think so. You will probably not be able to activate that old of a version anyways due to it no longer having a supporting activation server.

Hi - I have the exact same model as your MacBook and had a few questions as mine is acting up. I upgraded the ram to 8gb (2x 4GB ram) and ever since then my computer has not been running as smoothly and the start up time is horrendous. Have you encountered this problem? And if so how did you fix? What would you advise me do?
I was thinking of reverting back to the original factory 4GB then rebooting the entire computer. Any suggestions?

I was expected 7.0.3. but no use...

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset the BT device
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Hi Tom, I don't know if you can help me.
I'm using Final Cut version 10.1.4 with Yosemite 10.10.2 and whenever I open FCP it opens for about 5 seconds (not allowing me to click anywhere) before closing with the message "Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly. click reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to apple automatically." I have tried opening it multiple times and the same thing has been happening over and over again and i've tried everything I could find on the internet and nothing is working.

ICloud sync with MacBook Pro does not work

I've installed iOS 5, updated Lion to 10.7.2, marked Calendar and Contacts sync in System settings for iCloud on my Mac. However iCal and Address Book sync between iCloud and Mac (MacBook Pro) does not work though there is no problem in syncing between iCloud and iPhone. Whether I create new event or contact, change existing one or delete existing one in iCloud this change is not reflected on my Mac and vise versa. I could not find a solution in this site or in forums.

Yep, worked for me, too and now contacts and calendar seem to be syncing perfectly. We'll see if it lasts.

I already upgraded to Windows 10, but went back to 8.1 as it trashed my PC and cost me 3.5 half days of painstaking re-install to get my laptop to work again. (WINDOWS 10...DONT BOTHER IN MY OPINION) I have : ACER V3-571 64 BIT WIN 8.1 AGAIN. . IF YOU UPGRADE THIS LAPTOP TO WINDOWS 10...YOUR DOLBY V4 WILL STOP WORKING...was the start of a new nightmare for me. MICROSOFT UPGRADE YOUR ACER WITH THEIR OWN DRIVERS WHEN YOU UPGRADE TO A NEW OPERATING SYSTEM, OFTEN THIS LEADS TO STUPID FIDDLY THINGS LIKE APPS AND APPLICATIONS NO LONGER WORKING.... SO here we go!!! I am not bothering with windows 10 my friend, it is too much of an newbe baby at the moment and there are just too many bug fixes need doing in my opinion. I did manage to get my dolby home theatre to work again in windows 10, but it was an awful dulled down version with only half the features of the original that came with the version that was on my pc. My plan is to stick to windows 8.1 until it's death. When they withdrawl all the security patches for windows 8.1 and it becomes obsolete, then I will be forced to trash my pc again and go to windows 10, was not much fun mind spending 3.5 days putting everything back to its former state. Hope they do make windows 10 more stable and fix a lot of the bugs. I tried opening videos and pictures in windows 10.... result = missing element errors.... and error, error, error,,, So I think I will wait until 28 July 16 to when the last day of my free upgrade and reservation to windows 10 becomes mandatory. The sound on my macbook pro is not working

The sound on my macbook pro is not working. When I increase the sound, the icon appears as if everything is working, but no sound comes from the speakers. Earphones don't work either. I have tried a PRAM reset but at times, this doesn't even work. It's really frustrating having to restart my computer every time I want the sound to work, and even when I do that, theres a 50 50 chance of it working again. It generally happens after my laptop goes to sleep and I wake it up. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it or even know what caused it?
There are a lot of discussions around the earphone jack but I have checked that. I've tried a PRAM reset which hasn't worked, and my sound output is set to Internal speakers.
HELP!!

Hopefully one of these steps should solve the problem.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers / Headphones
    Make sure Mute is not enabled.
2. Remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
3. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Choose the method for:
    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
4. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
    Audio Devices window
    Side Bar
    Click the Built-in Output.
    Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.
