Leopard DVD Vista Tracks not showing up on iTunes Music Library.

Yet again, another obstacle in what I thought would have otherwise been the simple task of converting iTunes purchases to audio CD.
My MacBook is refusing to do ANYTHING with CD-Rs, so I am trying to drop some purchases from a DVD back-up burned on my Mac a few days ago, onto a VISTA platform.
I just dropped an album onto the relevant iTunes folder in this VISTA computer, and I was about to try and burn to audio, only it is not showing up in iTunes > Music!
The other option I looked into a few months back was to simply drop the tracks on this VISTA computer by simply plugging my iPod into a USB port, only it wont allow me to do this unless I reformat my iPod with windows firmware!
This is absolutely ridiculous!
What is going on here, why is this simple task turning into a nightmare?

I solved this. I simple had to select the tracks in windows explorer and press <enter> and they then showed up in iTunes Musis.

Added albums to iTunes, but they do not show up in the Music Library view.

I imported some albums and the albums do not show up in the Music Library view, however I created a playlist containing all songs added today and they show right up. Is there a fix for this?

They don't show up at all or they don't show up where you expect them to?
The iTunes Library is divided into a number of sources, Music, Podcasts, Books etc. Each file added ends up in just one of these sources depending on its *Media Kind* plus any playlists for which it has matching criteria.
Settings such as *Part of a Compilation, Sort Artist* or *Sort Album Artist* can make albums appear in an unexpected location within Music.

Music not showing up in my Music Library after moving to another drive

My C: drive was full, so I moved the file to my F: drive (have done this before, but somehow it only copied it and reverted to the old location on C).
I found multiple iTunes folders throughout my many drives and got rid of all but the ones on the F: drive. It now shows multiple folders with all my songs on F: drive. However, they do not show up in my Music Library. I've tried the preferences \advanced \general \copy music to library trick and still nothing. Don't think I lost the music since I have all these folders (1 for each artist) and it looks like a lot of bytes.
Please help..
Alternatively, I'd like to know how to get the whole library on my laptop and off of this old computer that ran out of space. The F: drive is detachable.

Do you use iTunes Match? Others have complained that it can take some time (overnight?) for items to appear in their library because of Match activities.
Can you play a file with Quicktime Player? Is it complete?
Delete an item from the library but not the actual file. Add the file again.

But I would think that the purchases would be saved onto my Itunes account and therefore redownload into my computer. I have been able to retrieve about 9 of the 20+ songs that I bought by syncing my phone however the other purchases are still not there. Also, when I go to the Itunes store and back to the purchases, the button you press to buy it says "PURCHASED" so I know I don't have to rebuy them. I received my new Macbook Pro today and have attempted to sync my iphone 4s with it, unfortunately like a bit of a moron I've ended up wiping all my music on my iphone.
I have then gone into Itunes and re-downloaded all my previous purchases (music tracks). They have all appeared in my music library but all but 4 are greyed out, will not play and will not allow me to do anything with them!
Can anyone help me, help the Mac newby sort his life out! I'd be lost without them and more to the point would have lost a fortune in music I'd paid for if I couldn't get them back!!

roaminggnome, it is normal and expected for the iPod to show in My Computer on a PC. That is part of the computer recognizing it as a camera for getting photos off the iPod.

EPub books synced... But not showing up in iTunes 10 Library Books folder

I've got my books alright! All of them ePubs from Project Gutenberg, but they're not showing up in my Books folder inside my iTunes Library. I can see them when I select which books I want to sync with my iPhone and I can read them, but I can't see them in my library. Anyone knows a solution?

How is it possible there was never a resolution to this problem? It still exists as I'm having the exact same issue. I imported books from my epub folders and they showed up for a short few minutes. Then I had an error in itunes (something about not being able to save the itunes file due to not enough room - Not sure what this was about but itunes, for the most part, is working fine) and when I restarted itunes, the books no longer show in my Books section. BUT, they give me the option to sync them with devices (so, they show up in the Books section under devices only). Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I would like to see the books in the Books section of itunes, not just under devices.

I started downloading a song from iTunes and then stopped it in the middle of the download cause it froze, but when I tried to redownload it, iTunes said the song was already downloaded. But it does not show up in my music library on my phone. Help?

I bought a song on iTunes and it started downloading but then about half way through it seemed to stop downloading so I pressed the square stop button in he middle of the downloading circle so that I could try and restart the download. But when I went back to iTunes, instead of having the cloud and the arrow to let me download the song from the cloud next to it, it said "Play" as if I had already downloaded the song. So I went back to my music library to try and find the song but it's not there and iTunes isn't letting me download it cause it says I already have it. Please help.

New episodes not showing up in iTunes Music Store

Hi I'm trying to figure out why new episodes of our podcast don't show up on our iTunes Music Store Page in iTunes.
The last episode listed on the page is from October 29, 2006 even though there are episodes in the feed as recent as April 1, 2007. Once you click "subscribe" and go to the "podcasts" section of iTunes, you can see all the episodes, they just don't show up in the iTunes music store page.

If you're on a Mac then Podcast Maker is a great choice. For Windows there's a product made by Feed4All.

Additional audio tracks not showing up in my movie library. Thoughts?

I have movies in both .mp4 and .m4v format with multiple audio tracks (all AAC 96kbps; 48kHz - video is .h264). When imported into iTunes, I cannot choose the alternate video tracks. However, i know that they work, because I check them in both VLC and Plex and everything is as it should be. I have made sure that the formats meets the specs of both iTunes and the AppleTV 3rd generation (which displays the same issue).
I have accomplished this in iTunes a few weeks ago successfully so I am not sure what I am doing wrong this time. My goal is to build a collection with available audio commentaries. I am starting to Winder if iTunes holds a limit on audio track in a video. For instance - The Matrix has an addition 4 audio commentary tracks.
I remuxed all of these myself and have a history in digital video production. If anyone has any suggestions for something simple (or not) that I may be overlooking I would greatly appreciate your input.

Adding new podcasts - not showing up in iTunes music store

Is there some sort of manual process that must be undertaken when you add a new podcast to your site, to get it to show up in itms?
I successfully added my podcast series (had two of them ready to go) and submitted to ITMS. They accepted it, and it shows up just fine there. But after adding a third episode last night, it still only shows two episodes this morning.
Is there something more I must do?

Songs not showing up in the Music folder but in a playlist

Hi,
Something weird is happening with iTunes.
Just before upgrading to 10.5, I had a problem where after opening a M3U playlist from the finder, the playlist was added as a regular playlist.
I can play the songs, when I go in the Get Info of the file, I can see that the file has been copied to the iTunes Music folder.
But when I look for the new imported songs from the top Music Folder, then the songs don't show up.
I opened the iTunes Library XML file and the songs are correctly listed.
Any idea?

When I double click on a song from my computer, it plays in iTunes, but it is not copied into my music library. Also, when I import a audio cd, it imports but does not show up in the music library, nor can I click and drag it there or to my Iphone. In the past clicking on these tracks would automatically save it in my library. I noticed this problem last week perhaps after upgrading to iTunes 10.1.2.
Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Songs not showing up in device music folder, but showing up in playlists

Hi everybody, total newbie here. Appreciate any help or advice.
I just tried to import an audio CD to iTunes and it says it has completed importing, but it doesn't show up in my iTunes music library. I tested by trying to play an mp3 file with iTunes, but it doesn't seem to work.
Furthermore, when I connect my iPhone to my MacBook Pro, I can't see any of my 2000 or so songs. However when I click on my playlists, I can see the music there. Also, when I disconnect my iPhone, my music and playlists on the iPhone are still intact.
I noticed that the last time I was able to import music was January 26, a couple of days before the 10.1.2 upgrade. Do you think this has anything to do with it?

Dvd/cd rom not showing up on computer.

dvd/cd rom not showing up on computer. Where do I find the driver for the dvd/cd?
Have a pavilion dv6915nr with windows vista. Somehow the dvd/cd player is not showing up and will not play anything.
Any suggestions on what I can do.

Have you got a DVD drive?
Have you been able to playback DVDs before? If not, then you may very well need a DVD drive... not just a CD drive.
You'll be able to tell what you have by looking in 'My Computer' when there are no discs in the drives. The drives should show up as things like: 'CD-ROM Drive(D:)' or 'CD/DVD Drive(D:)'. If none of the drives have DVD in the title, you may just need a DVD drive.
If you have any luck getting them to show up, take a look at this thread for help on ripping DVDs to iPod.
