Leveling under allocating resources

I have a single project file with 6 different resources, one team of 4 and one team of 2. I have navigated a relatively accurate project schedule by assigning all 4 to each task in their department and letting leveling take care
of assignment on a day to day basis. However near the end of it 2 resources on my team of 4 see no action, while the other 2 have regular filled out days.
I have tried various ways of shuffling the assignments and availability (default availability is uniform across all 4 team members) to no avail. It seems like it would be simple to have all 4 resources working in parallel as they
have been (even if they are now all on the same task), what am I missing?

Tasks are effort driven with plenty of work to spread across 4 resources over multiple days/weeks

My resources are 4 individuals, with the assignment of each to every task in their department, only available up to 100% of usage.

The problem that is coming up is with the Netsys task. Near the end of the year only AD and TW will be actually working, AG and WA will be sitting idle with no hours that week, though they are all assigned to the task.
I've tried to coax Project (2010) to have AG and WA work on the task at all by putting AD and TW as unavailable for the week that the task is landing on, but it just shuffles other things around and doesn't actually put them to work. There are no over
allocations occurring in either scenario.

stand-alone, no RAC
Development box is hosting ASM and 3 rdbms instances. databases are at 11.2.0.1, ASM was upgraded to 11.2.0.2 before I inherited it.
Prod box is hosting ASM and 2 rdbms instances. Databases and ASM/GI are at 11.2.0.1.
Started upgrade of GI to 11.2.0.2 and it failed the prereq check, stating there was insufficient swap. Machine has 21.5gb ram, 11.1875gb swap.
Going back installation guide for base level I see that it also recommends 16gb of swap for that amount of ram, but I don't recall seeing that in the guides that came with the upgrade. If so, I must have glossed over, thinking that since the base level was installed we should be good on any fundamental prereqs like that.
The dev box - where GI was upgraded before I started this job - has 23.5gb ram and 15.6gb swap.
On the prod boxe the ram was upgraded after the current software installtions. I believe the same happened on the dev box.
I'm waiting on a response from the SA on the feasability of upping the swap but in the mean time wondered about the expected fall-out of overriding the pre-req check and proceeding with the upgrade.

I restarted my Imac today and get the same error message:

Hard to say, but at this point I'd make a good backup just to be safe.

Could be anything from early signs of Hard Disk failure, to bad third party software or worse AV software if you are running something like that?

Assignment under Allocation Structure.

Hi SAP Gurus,
I would like to know the functionality of Assignment under allocation structure. Let us consider one ex:, I have 10 accounts (cost elements) and I divided those into 2 groups. I considered one group under one assignment and another group under another assignment.
I want to settle expenditure related to first group to one g/l account and another group expenditure to another g/l account. I don't want to consider % in settlement rule.
In that case, how I have to proceed, please let me know at the earliest.

Cost Center Accounting , Profit Center Accounting and COPA Reporting are all distincts .
Cost Center Accounting cycles ( assessment and distribution) will not effect Profit Center Accounting ..
Wether you use Assessment or Distribution in cost center accounting will deciede upon what costs are there is your sender cost centers. If you have only primary costs ( from 1-2 GL A/c) only.. then use distribution otheriwse you have to use CCA assessment cycles..
For COPA Assessment cycles.. source and asessment cycle ... must be different in order to trace the costs later on ...
Your Design must be
1. Assessment/Distribution cycle to transfer the costs from pool CC to down CC
2. COPA assessment cycle sto transfer the Costs to COPA .
3. PCA cycles to distribute between profit centers .. to have profit center reports..

How to remove over allocated resource in project professional 2010

I'm new to MPP 2010, as I have admin access got some problem with one project. The project has reached finish date(august 2013) and the remaining work is zero, but still the task is not getting complete because of constraint "The task has resource assigned
which is over allocated". since the resources have submitted time sheet i'm not sure if I make any changes in MPP now it will affect the data in the Reports.
Please can anyone suggest on this.

The fact that the resource is overallocated should not stop the task being completed. What is the %complete and the %work complete on the task? Are you able to share a screen shot of your issue?

Loading levels under elements in time line

I have a master container file that holds elements like a
navigation, border, logo and other items that need to be visible at
all times. I put these elements on the stage in various layers.
Upon clicking on buttons within the navigation, external .swf
files are then loaded into this container file. The loaded .swfs go
into an empty movie clip called "target_mc", created using
ActionScript:

here's the AS for one of the buttons:

Everything works fine, however the loaded .swfs are coming in
on top of the elements in my timeline. Is there a way to have then
come in under these elements? I know using AS to load these
elements in the same way as the .swfs will solve the problem, but I
like being able to see them in the time line so that it's easier to
make adjustments. I also know that creating an empty movie clip
that sits on the time line in a lower layer to hold the .swfs will
solve the problem, however I need to load them into levels so I can
eventually do things like swap depth and load to the next highest
level.

I'm still using Cs6.... I found that if you hold shift+click with the cut tool it cuts it.. I'll try link as shifting is a pain...
Maybe there is a way to set teh shift+click as the default action for the cut tool?

Custom tabs under userprofile - resources in OIM 11g

Currently in OIM 11g user's available resource accounts are shown as a list under resources tab.
Is there any way we can customize this page to display one more layer of tabs below it, and fliter the resource accounts to be disaplyed under each sub-tab?

For OIM 11g R2, we don't have any composer and all. You need to understand the OIM UI then you need to proceed with Customization.

Monitoring & Allocating Resources On ACE20-MOD-K9

Hi,
We are currently running a ACE20 with 11 contexts. Recently we have seen that one of the contexts is being 'starved' of resources, especially Concurrent Connections, Bandwidth and Throughput.
Whilst we know how to address this situation by reallocating resources from less busy contexts, I was wondering if there was a more scientific way of looking at the resources being used and calculating the best way to allocate them across the ACE other than just looking at the 'show resource usage' and 'show resource allocated' commands?
Has Cisco or any other 3rd party developed a handy tool to monitor the the ACE resources which will possibly assist with calculating the optimum resource allocations across all contexts?
If there isn't a tool is there any formula which can be used?

Hi Dominic
Regarding tools - you can use ANM (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6904/index.html). This is a management system for ACEs. It collects data and provides central management and monitoring point for your ACE devices. So, you can see consolidated statistic and information for your deices in userfriednly GUI and make changes there too.
As a handmade solution - you can use available SNMP traps + e.g. write some script which will collect resource usage statistic for you.
I can't imagine some kind of system or formula which can decide how much resources you need to allocate to particular context. That is the same as in any network design project - based on expected load you need to estimate amount of resources you need.

How to use evdre to display all the levels under the node user choose

I used SELF,LDEP(6) in the memberset of evdre trying to display all the 6 levels from the top node of NetIncome, all the display all the level with the correct amount except the top node which is displayed in the row key, but all the cell which should be the aggregation of all it's children is blank, if I choose only self, it shows the amount with only top level. how could I all the level and the corresponding amount display?

Solaris 10 x86 install problems allocating resources

I have a problem when I first install. I get two devices, NON ACPI and ACPI both using IRQ 3. After the conflict resolves, during some page instances of the boot configuration assistant, I lose my keyboard functionality.
This is currently set to IRQ 1. I was wondering if this was correct based on x86 platform specific resources. I am also unsure as to what port I need to use.
Has anyone ever tried anything different other than IRQ 1?
AMD K6 400 w/ adaptec 2940 UW / 2 x 9.1 GB scsi Quantum 7200 rpm 56x ide cdrom and 192 mb memory SDRAM
Even if I switch my pci config around physically, that still won't help the keyboard probing or will it? Can I shut off probing and do it manually? Then again, I lose the keyboard sometimes during the boot config.

I think u should do one thing.
1) Find out your name of your NIC card. ( Probably if u installed XP and seen which NIC is that)
2) Download drivers for your NIC by giving something like " download network drivers for solaris for ' your NIC' ".
3) If fortunately if u get drivers, copy it on ur solaris machine and install it by reading readme file of the drivers.
4) In readme file u will also find NIC name.
5) Then run command " ifconfig (card name e.g. bcme0) plumb
6) Now run "ifconfig -a" if u find ur card name there except le0 then congrats u have done it.
7) Move ahead with network config.
Note : - I am not sure but i think if ur machine is old then u will not get drivers for it.
Tell me if u get success........

Can we do personalization at user level under iprocurement

Using the personalization i have enabled the exchang rate and exchange date for Non-catalog request items in iProcurement since, we are facing exchang rate issue.
i have enabled the personalization at responsibility level so all users are viewing the personalize fields. Now i want to restrict the personalize fields at the user levle. Is there any way i can do the personalization at the user levles?
Note: we are using the 11.5.10.2 version.

Hi Suppose you have two fields say A and B and two users David and Henry.
You want David should see both the fields and Henry shoudn't...
Then in that case in the controller of the page in process request you cvan capture the Username from profile option

Not able to see the resources created under Adminstration - Resources Tab

I am trying to add new resources in RPM -> Administration -> Resources. After saving they are not showing up in the view even though they are created in the system. Other than that i am seeing a problem in the same screen with error "Index: 0, Size: 0".

Locking a movie that is a level under another movie

Hi, I am loading a movie onto a level above another movie,
but the buttons of the movie below are still clickable through the
movie above. Is there anyway I can lock the movie below when I load
another one over it?

The only way I think of doing it is by putting a large button
covering the whole movie that is transparent and doesnt do
anything. That would disable the buttons on the level underneath
from functioning.
There must be a way of creating a layer that doesnt allow
anything underneath it to be clickable?

Brand new 5k imac GPU heating to ridiculously hot levels under mild use

I'm only browsing the Internet and using Google Hangouts. Presently my GPU die is at 100C and has remained consistent at this temperature throughout the day. The maximum allowed temperature for the GPU die as reported by iStat is 105C.
my rMBP 2014 under a similar load is 117C, however it has an upper limit of (according to iStat) 200C.
I am concerned that the GPU die would come within 5C of overheating under a mild workload. If I were to play a game such as League of Legends I am almost certain that this would cause the GPU die to reach 105C and thus cause the device to power itself off.

GPU proximity is just that. The sensor is near the GPU, not directly in it. Same with any of the other "proximity" sensors. From my Late '09, missing even a GPU proximity sensor. Relatively recent version of iStat Menus, which includes all these "proximity" ones. Don't know what to make of the very high readouts for the GPU Die in your models. Temperature Monitor (free) no longer being supported, but maybe Marcel Bresink, in Hardware Monitor (paid--if it's still being supported for new models) has a note about those. Since those temps are showing high for everyone here, I'd be inclined not to worry about them and use the GPU Proximity as a more reliable guide as to what's going on.
And then from Hardware Monitor, which shows all the same sensors, but with different names. For example, Power Board Proximity is called Power Supply Position 2.
In mine the Northbridge makes a decent proxy for the GPU.
