LF (Linear Foot) to MSF (Thousand Square Foot) pricing conversion.

Buyer stocks inventory in the LF UoM but purchases it in the MSF UoM and would like to automatically see the unit price in each of the UoM's on the purchase order.
I do not see using the Item Master Data screen > purchasing tab and alternate UoM because there is the addition of "Width" to this formula but want to see if anyone has information on this.
Thanks,
Jim

Dear Mr McDermid,
Have you tried to use the Purchasing and Sales tab of the Item Master Data. In these tabs you can choose the UoM and there are the measurments you can add (e.g. length, width etc).
Please, let me know if this suggestion works.

  • Footer in Word printed output

I want to prevent RoboHelp's topic footer from appearing in
the printed Word output, where it shows as part of the page text
(not in the Word document's footer).
I use a RH template to add the same footer to every topic in
the WebHelp output but I don't want this in the printed output.
Is there a setting to turn off the footer on conversion to
    Word? I use RH v7.

Peter, sorry not to have replied earlier but I have been
trying to make some sense of it or at least find a pattern to the
results. So far I have the following observations:
    1. In the current project there are some topics in the
printed output that do NOT have the RH footer printed in the
'body', but as i posted originally, most do. The topics that do not
show the footer are consequtive topics within two chapters.
    2. I created a small new project based on the current project
and chopped out all but a handful of topics. Here I found only one
topic had the RH footer cropping up in the printed output.
    3. I created a small new project from scratch (using the same
template I used in the original project) and found the expected
results, ie. the RH footer does not find its way into the Word
    output...anywhere!
This is the story so far...pls let me have any questions.

  • Weight and volume calculation in sales order

    Hi,
I have one requirement to populate weight of line item material in the sales order based of plant.
When the processing of sales order is trigerred the value in the reference characteristic will be available in the User Exit MV45AFZZ through the function CUCB_GET_VCSD_UPDATE.  Passing VBAP-CUOBJ.  If material is batch managed (MARA-XCHPF  = “X”), then use VBAP-CUOBJ_CH.
    1.     Configured Material
The VC model will populate either a volume field or linear foot field, depending on the type of material, in the SAP communications structure VCSD_UPDATE.  If either field is populated then this user exit will take the value found in VCSD_UPDATE and extend it by the plant specific weight value and the total quantity referenced in the sales document.  This total value is then moved in the weight field in the table VBAP.
    2.     Static Material with plant specific weight
If both fields in VCSD_UPDATE are not populated then the plant specific weight value is extended by the total quantity referenced in the sales document. This total value is then moved in the weight field in the table VBAP.
    3.     Static Material with static weight
If both fields in VCSD_UPDATE are not populated and a plant specific weight value not found then the static weight, presumably the weight value in MARA, extended by the total quantity referenced in the sales document. This total value is then moved in the weight field in the table VBAP.  Note: The static weight could be maintained in the plant specific repository in which case this third test is not necessary.  However, this will create a lot of redundant entries in the repository for plant specific weights.
    How to calculate?
Please explain step by step? What logic i have write?

  • Photoshop CS2 Cannot read PNG files--"Not Enough Memory"

Hi! I have a bit of a problem. I've scoured the interwebs for days but can't find a solution.
My copy of PSCS2 was able to open PNGs in the past, but it just up and decided it doesn't want to anymore. I'm serious--I can't think of any major overhaul or anything I did to cause it, but now it won't read them correctly. It says there's "not enough memory," which doesn't really make sense, when I have a Macbook Pro and nothing running in the background. On top of that, the particular files I've been trying to open are barely 100kb. I've used canvases upwards of ten thousand square pixels in dimension with no problem.
This is with any PNG file. It's not an "incorrect extension" problem, because I made these files and just need to reopen them to edit things.
Here are some screenshots that show what's been happening; nothing exciting, but just in case someone notices something I don't:
That's the picture I want to open.
    And that's what pops up.
    :/ I'm a little dumbfounded. Halp?

    Now, this is strange.
I restarted my computer and now the message has changed--to a simple one, but albeit still confusing.
    Sigh.
I didn't do anything but restart my computer.

  • Need some URGENT help with 3 DVD mastering issues PLEASE! :

    Hi there,
Firstly, I am running DVD SP 3.0.2 on Mac OS 10.4.7 on a G5 Dual 2 GHz 3Gb Ram plenty of HD space...
I am creating a DVD with: An intro sequence, a main menu, 4 sub menus, and 4 sections with around 12 chapters each.
I am having some big problems, and a pretty stuck. I will lest them separately below, numbered. If you are able to help, please refer clearly to which number you are helping with. Any help is MUCH appreciated! Many thanks!!
    1. Each of the 5 menus (1 main, 4 sub) have a background video, and a separate audio track. I added the background videos by simply dragging them to the assests panel, then from there onto the menu editor window. They are created in FCP and are properly encoded. However, when I click the motion button, or use the simulator, the videos do not show up. The music plays, but all i see is plain black.
    What is going on?!?!?!
    2. I am really struggling with rollover buttons. I have custom created buttons, and I wand them to have a soft red glow around them when hovered over. HOW ON EARTH DO I ACTUALLY DO THIS??
The buttons are in photoshop so can be exported with/without background/glow in any format.
    3. Is it possible, once I have got the above rollover working, to have an image to the right hand side of my buttons which changes with the the button rollover. i.e. hover over button 1, see image 1. hover over button 2, image changes to image 2.
PLEASE PLEASE give any help you can, I have a deadline coming up and am quite stumped. Thanks again!!

I am still having problems regarding issue Number 1. PLEASE ANYONE HELP?!
Sorry, I'm not sure about the motion menus. I avoid those whenever possible. But you might click on the menu in the storyline tab (whatever it's called -- the hierarchical view with the disc, tracks, slideshows, etc.) and look at the properties and see if there's anything you have to enable specifically for motion. And be sure the motion button is on on the main display/preview area, but it sounds like you already know how that works.
For your information, here is a screen grab of the menu I am trying to create:
    http://www.redhavoc.co.uk/stuff/menu.jpg
I think it is obvious that when a button is hovered over, I want it to glow red, and the image to the right will change to match the respective button.
IS THIS GOING TO BE POSSIBLE????
    Yes.
First, your menus have to be layered menus. Unfortunately, there's no way to convert non-layered menus to layered menus, so if you already have non-layered, you'll have to just delete them and create new layered menus. The button (and menu item) to create a layered menu should be right by the normal new-menu item.
Next, the graphical work is all in Photoshop.
Side tip: You may already know this, but I found it's best to use 640x480 for the Photoshop document. When I do text and leave it as a text object in the Photoshop file, it resizes poorly in DVDSP. So this ends up being another 720x480 vs. 640x480 square/rectangular pixel conversion thing. DVDSP plays in the 640x480 world, at least as far as the designer can see. So I keep my images at 640x480, and it doesn't have to resize, and everything looks right.
Moving on... Set up your basic background, the part that won't change (or will have other things covering it, like for your square image).
Then put in all the buttons and images you'll be using, each part in a separate layer. This could have fifteen buttons (you have five buttons, and there can be three versions for each -- inactive, selected, and activated versions) and five or six square images (you said one for each button, and you might want a blank default if, say, you want to add a "back" button on the menu and want some blank or default image for the square when they're on the "back" button).
Sometimes people don't bother with a separate "active" button state, but you usually want some visual feedback that they clicked the button. Also, I usually just build the default (unselected) button into the background; that's less hassle later on, and it will just draw the selected or activated buttons over that when the user is on that button.
Line up all your buttons and images. All the square images lined up perfectly on top of each other, all the buttons in the right places (so you'll have three buttons stacked on top of each other in each spot). Give each layer a short but quickly recognizable name, and line them up in a consistent order. (button1-default, button1-selected, button1-active, button1-squarepicture, then button2-default, ... etc.) Photoshop and DVDSP don't care, but it makes it easier for you later.
Note that earlier versions of DVDSP won't show Photoshop layer effects. (They handle layers, just not the effects, like inner glow, outer bezel, etc.) I don't remember when they changed this, but I think it was version 4.something. So if you're using that method to make your buttons glow, you may have to flatten each selected or active button layer, and you may even need to create a dummy blank layer underneath it first to give it something to flatten onto.
Save the file as a standard Photoshop file (.psd). Drag the file onto your DVDSP layered menu and set it as the background.
Now, in DVDSP, create all your buttons. Just drag boxes over/around the button pictures you have. Feel free to make them extra-big; users won't see the actual area you've selected, and bigger areas makes it easier for people to hit them if they're using a mouse on a computer to watch the DVD. You can point the buttons to their targets now if you want, and set the end jumps on the tracks if you want. (I tend to set the end jumps on the tracks so they automatically select the button for the next track.)
Now's the fun part, since it will actually hook everything up and should be easy if your naming layer order were consistent. Click on the layered menu (in that hierarchical view) and look at the properties window. (Sorry I can't remember the technical names for all these windows; I'm doing this all from memory. So feel free to ask more questions if you can't find what I'm talking about.) One of the properties tabs should have a grid of checkboxes with a list of your layers. Make sure the background is checked for all of the states. Then check the layers you want to show for each button state, as well as the corresponding square image to show for each.
Again, I'm doing this from memory, and I can't remember exactly how things are listed in that grid. But I remember it keeps your layers in the same order you put them in the Photoshop file and shows you those names, so it should make it easy to go down the list and check the right boxes.
And another side tip: You can update the Photoshop file, but once you've put it in DVDSP, if you change the layer order, it will screw up the check boxes you checked. It always shows you the layer names correctly, but it keeps the checkboxes in DVDSP simply assigned to the layer number, so the fifth layer will keep the same checkboxes even if you juggle them so some other layer is now the fifth layer. So if you do juggle the layers in Photoshop, go back and fix the checkbox list in DVDSP.
I put a sample Photoshop file based on yours in
    http://dan.black.org/layered-menu-sample.psd
It's quick and dirty, but shows the layer layout, and you should be able to drop it on DVDSP to play with. (I also won't leave it there forever, maybe a few weeks, so anybody reading this in a month or more probably will get a 404 for that url.)
Again, doing this from memory, so feel free to ask if anything doesn't work or doesn't make sense.

  • Aspect Ratio of Letterboxed DVX100 Footage

I'm wondering if anyone knows what the exact aspect ratio would be of DVX100 footage with the widescreen matte turned on. In trying to measure it in Final Cut, applying the 1.66:1 and 1.70:1 mattes don't do anything, but the 1.78:1 matte crops off a slight additional amount of any shot. Using Compressor, the 1.75:1 matte also crops off slightly more footage than was originally matted by the letterbox.
If it helps, here are the numbers that Compressor provides:
Using 1.66:1 matte crops the top and bottom to a value of 47. Using a 1.75:1 matte crops the top and bottom to 57 and selecting 'Letterbox Area of Source' crops the top and bottom to 54.

I can't tell you exactly what aspect ratio the DVX100 with the widescreen matte turned on. I can tell you what a 4x3 matted aspect ratio should be. It should be 4x3 1.77777778.
Figuring this out in NTSC broadcasting specs is a little misleading Eg: 4x3 1.33 native equates to 720*486=1.48148148148 or 720*480=1.5 due to non-square pixels. Conversion to square pixels helps. 640*480=1.33333333. for 16x9 640*360=1.77777778.
I wouldn't rely on a correct line count coming out of the camera or out of Final Cut without a profressional grade scope ie: Tektronix.
So, if what you're trying to do if place mattes to match your video I would suggest creating the mattes manually to line up with the existing mattes.

  • Please suggest solutiion for calling a plsql function in report

    Hi,
I did a small project using forms and reports 6i. Now i prepared a repor that will calucalate the sum(expenditure)per report level. Now the problem is i want to print the sum which is in number form , in words. That is if the sum is 50000 then i want to print "fifty thousand". For this conversion from number to figure i wrote a small programme , which successfully compiled and created a function.
Now I want to create a field in the report and in which I want to call this plsql function and perform the number conversion of sum(expenditure)per report field. Please describe in detail how to make reference between these two fields i.e sum(expenditure)per report and field in which I want to run plsql code and thereby converting the sum into figures.
the programme i used to convert currency from number to words is please see link.http:/orafaq.com/scripts/cheqprint.txt
    Thanks in advance
    Prasanth a.s.

    Hi,
If the amount does not exceed more than 5,373,484 then you can use the following method to print the number in words.
    Test Db>Select to_char( to_date(5373484,'J'),'Jsp') from dual ;
    TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(5373484,'J'),'JSP')
Five Million Three Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-Four
There's no need to write DB function unless you are sure that the value can exceed 5373484.
You can do the following :
    1. Create a Summary column on the report column on which you want the data summed - Report level or at any level required
    2. Create a Formula Column - Report Level or any other level - Wherever required [ Same level as in Step 1]
    3. The trigger text of this formula column would use the column which is summation of the Expenditure field column (Summary Column) and this function should return Varchar2
    Declare
    lSumInWords Varchar2(1000) := Null;
    Begin
    Select TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(:CS_1,'J'),'JSP')
    Into lSumInWords
    From dual;
    Return (lSumInWords);
    End;
    3. In Your report layout, use this formula column for printing.
    Good Luck.

  • How to parse reader comments in new source comment sections

I enjoy reading through the comment sections to articles in various news sources.   However, the good comments are often hidden in the over abundance of spam and mind-numbing commentary.  I would like to write an application that will selectively
extract certain comments that I feel will most likely offer informative content (i.e. to reduce the time and my effort to find comments worth reading).   For example, mind-numbing comments which I wish to ignore general consist of single sentences
and it is not unusual for a comment section to have hundreds if not thousands of them.  Conversely, many informative comments are much longer in length (e.g. two or more paragraphs).
I am proficient in developing desk top applications in a rich client environment but have only minimal experience working with web-related applications.   As such, I am looking for suggestions on how I should approach this small project and work
    through it.
    1) Is anyone aware of existing projects or sample source code which parses the contents of web pages using .NET?
    2) It is possible to view the source of a browser web page.  For example, in IE10 I from the main menu [View][Source].   The source includes the text of the article but none of the comments.  That is, the actual comments are not
included in the rendered HTML (e.g. view the source for
http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/target-s-launch-into-canada-a-multifaceted-failure-1.2901789).   So how can I obtain the comments so that I can then filter the ones I wish to review and ignore all the others.
If I should be posting this request in another forum then please let me know.
    ThanX

  • DNG preferences panel missing options

In the DNG preferences panel, version 5.4.0.57 only 3 options appear. Compatibility, Preview & Original Raw File, under Compatibility in custom settings I can check Linear & uncompressed but nowhere can I find "Image Conversion Method" or "Compression" check boxes. I have installed DNG converter on both my PC (XP-sp3) and my laptop (Vista 64bit) with identical results.
    Where am I going wrong?
Some converted file receive a 1:3 compression others a 1:4 compression, what gives?
    Regards Larry

You can still control exactly the same things you could before, just the UI has changed.
Linear is the conversion method option, with a different UI.  No functionality has been lost.
Uncompressed is the compression option, with a different UI.  No functionality has been lost.
The reason the compression and linear options have been moved to a custom dialog is very few users truly understood them, and many users would change their default values in ways that wasted disk space because they did not understand what they were doing or why they were doing it.  Only in VERY rare use cases does is make any sense to use to custom compatibility option.  The main compatibly version option does exactly what nearly all users need to do, when they want to create DNG files that are readable in older versions of Camera Raw.
Can you please explain exactly why you think you need to control the custom options?

  • Contact-Opportunity relationship - easy in Upshot - Impossible in OnDemand

I am a recent Upshot refugee. Upshot had an easy reporting function that allowed to report opportunity and contact information based on the contact role or relationship. I am now told (after thousands of dollars for conversion) that OnDemand will only report Primary contact information and all of my thousands of non-primary contacts are useless.
    Does anyone have a solution?

I'm happy to be proven wrong on this by another user, but I believe the only two objects in Reports/Analytics that have the ability to display both primary and non-primary contacts are Shared Activities and Account Contact History. These two objects won't give you the data you're looking for. Additionally, I don't believe that the Reports and Analytics for Excel tool will be able to extract the data you are after. This basically means that the only remaining option would be to use Web Services.

is this not an acceptable way to do this?
    thanks
I would say no.  You don't want an analog output to be a power supply.  It probably wouldn't have the current capacity you would need to be a power source for other devices.  Have the 24VDC supply power your analog output card and your analog input card.  Then there should be enough juice to coming out of the Vsup to power the LT and PT.  If you need to measure the voltage of your power supply (and I'm not sure why you need to do this.)  You could used some high value resistors and create a voltage divider to get the voltage drop across the final resistor to be within the 10VDC range of an analog input channel.  About a 3:1 division should work fine.
How much current are your LT and PT expected to draw?  According to the manual for the AO-210 it can only source up to 10 mA per analog output channel.  So each device can only be getting 5 mA (or even less depending on how much is flowing through each switch.)

  • Does DNG Converter support CFA DNG for X-Trans files?

Does Adobe DNG Converter support the X-Trans sensor layout from ie. the X100S? Can converting an X-Trans sensor RAF file to to DNG result in a file that is _not_ in any way demosaiced and/or linearized?
If DNG Converter truly does support conversion of X-Trans to CFA DNG files, how can the resulting files be so much smaller (when not linearizing or ticking lossy compression of the DNGs)? The RAF files are all around 32 MB, while the DNGs are around ~23 MB. Is it only a matter lossless compression, or is the mosaiced data in some way altered?
If DNG Converter does support CFA DNG for X-Trans, at what DNG Converter version did you first implement support for the X-Trans sensor layout and conversion of X-Trans data to CFA DNG files?
These are important questions that I'm having a hard time finding answers for. I'd appreciate answer to any (but preferably all) of the questions.
