Lightroom 2.5 on Windows 7 will not show previews - Please Help

I just converted my system from Windows Vista (32 bit) to Windows 7 (32 bit). I have 2 monitors. The first monitor normally shows all my photos in a Grid view; however the grid now shows no pictures but file data is still there.. when you place the cursor over the spot where a picture should be there is no picture displayed but the bottom of the screen shows the file name & path and the rating that I have assigned the photos (ie 5 Stars) shows in the normal position.
I have Uninstalled Lightroom 2.5 and reinstalled it but the problem remains.
Please Help.

IIRC, this is a monitor profile issue. See if you can change the Profile on the monitor to something like sRGB- or anything for now. Also, running in mirror mode- does that cure it?

You probably need to either uninstall and reinstall itunes or to download the apple application support by itself
you can download the itunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/ here
then to do a complete uninstall / reinstall follow these instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
you could also use 7zip to extract the individual installer for apple application support from the itunes setup file http://www.7-zip.org

Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

You can force quit by holding the power button down for extended period.
During boot up hold down the Option key and choose your Macintosh HD OSX.
In >System Preferences> Startup Disk>choose your internal OSX System as Default.

It sounds like your iPhone 4 has a dim or blank black screen but responds to some commands like enabling vibrate. I understand this may be a frustrating situation, but the troubleshooting suggestions in the article below will help you solve the issue.
Get help with the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If your screen is too dim, too bright, or you see only faint images
Try to adjust the brightness. If the screen doesn’t respond when you adjust the brightness, open several apps to make sure it’s not an issue with only one app.
If you have a screen protector, try removing it. Try removing your case if it includes a screen protector.
If you see the issue in multiple apps, restart your device.
If restarting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

ITunes 7.4 on Windows 2000 will not show songs in library

I have a computer running Windows 2000 and iTunes 7.4 that will not load songs onto iTunes. The songs play fine in Windows Media and are MP3's with no DRM. The user drags the song folder onto iTunes library and everything appears to be fine but the music never appears. Have also tried loading music from the file menu but also with no success. User has uninstalled an reinstalled iTunes. MP3's are associated with the iTunes program. I'm at a loss.

The minimum requirements for iTunes for Windows 7.4 are Windows XP or 32-bit editions of Windows Vista with Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later required for Apple TV. Windows 2000 is no longer supported though there are versions of iTunes 7 earlier than 7.4 that work with it: iTunes 7.3.2 for Windows 2000

Windows 7 will not show my mac partition

I just bought my mac mini (mac os x yosemite) and installed windows 7 professional 64 bit onto it using boot camp.
There's no problem with my windows 7. Just that I cannot see my mac partition on windows 7.
I had an old mac using mac os x mavericks and I installed windows 7 on it as well.
I can see my mac partition on windows 7.
May I know how to fix it?

Yosemite converted JHFS+ to CS volumes for which Apple has yet to provide a driver.
If you are on Mavericks, there is no CS volume by default (unless Fusion drives are in the mix or FileVault2 is used). Apple has read-only JHFS+ driver in Bootcamp, but no CS compatible driver.
You can verify it by running diskutil cs list on the OSX side. If it returns any output, Windows cannot read such volumes.

Satellite L505 will not start! Please help me!

My Tobisha Satellite is having a problem booting up. I am using the Satellite L505.
Whenever I try to turn on my computer the boot logo comes up, but then after that a black screen comes up with a symbol up at the top left. It stays on that screen forever, please help me!!!!

Try what drev9 said.    And you can also try repeat tries to get it to boot (hold the power button in ntil it shuts off, then power it back on again. I once got my L505D to successfully boot but it took 3-4 tries like that.) Or you can try walking off and just leaving it stwe a while to see if Windows resolves the issue.   If it prompts you that Windows didn't start right, you can either try start normally or do a restore back to last restore point or whatever that other option is.    If you get the macine running, definitely back up or copy off all of your important data and pictures, before you shut it off again.
Probably what you're going to need to do is a complete Toshiba Restore that reinstalls all software back to factory configuration, and that will erase everything on the hard disk.   It's remarkably easi to do, provided you have a fast and reliable Internet connection to get all the updates installed.
I have an L505D-s6947 and it was purchased in July 2009.     It recently started having problems with starting up Windows, could not complete burning a DVD, lost some files, corrupted my original Admin account, and occasionally the hard disk was "not available" when file writes were supposed to happen.    Doing a full Restore cleans out all the junk, it fixed my problems, and the machine runs reliable and much faster now, plus has no difficulty burning DVDS.   These computers probably should get wiped and reinstalled once a year, to keep the performance up and Windows running smoothly.

Laptop will not startup.. please help!!

I have a L505D-S5983 w/ Windows 7 that will not start up. when i turn the power on everything looks good, the Toshiba screen pops up like always, then this black "Windows Error Recovery" screen pops up and gives me 2 options 1) Launch Startup Repair and 2) Start Windows Normally. ive dealt with this issue many times on many computers and either option always gets the computer running, but with this machine whenever i press "Start Windows Normally", the screen with the little wavey Windows flag pops like its loading up for about 15 seconds then the computer automatically restarts to the Toshiba screen. when i click the "Launch Startup Repair" option it shows a small progress bar at the bottom of the screen for about 5 seconds then goes to a completely blank black screen with only the arrow pointer showing and just stays there. ive let it sit for over an hour like that and nothing changes. i did a memory diagnostic check which did nothing. im a novice w comps so i dont know what to do. i lost my backup recovery CD so that wont help. could i download one somewhere? would that fix my problem? im so frustrated.. ive had nothing but problems with this laptop since the day i bought it. but i need it running asap. i greatly appreciate any help!!!

first, don't panic! just kidding
if you have not already made recovery discs then you will have to order them from toshiba. that is, unless we are able to use the hidden partition to restore to out-of-box state. Before that though, you should try a few things as going to out-of-box is going to compeltely wipe everything off of your computer.
turn off computer, then when you turn on, spam (hit once ever second) the f8 key and see if you can get into emergeny boot options menu. If it doesn't go in first try, try at least 4-5 more times as it's all about timing the f8 key. if successful, try to boot into safe mode. if you have made it that far, post back.

Bootcamp will not mount? Please help

I have macbook pro mid 2012 version with OSX mavericks on it. It also has a bootcamp partition with windows 8. I have divided the disk equally between the two. Everything was working fine until today. I was updating some apps on windows 8 (bootcamp partition). Something happened and the update failed. I restarted the PC and tried to boot into windows but it will not load. Here is what happens:
When I start macbook it boots into OSX by default.
When I start and hold the option key I can see osx partition and bootcamp partition.
If I click on bootcamp (windows) partition it appears to start but suddenly a blue screen comes up with something written on it. I cannot read it as I can only see it for fraction of a second before it starts booting in osx.
Now on osx under finder I cannot see bootcamp under my devices. I only see macintosh HD.
I also tried to see under disk utility and bootcamp is greyed out and not mounted. I tried to mount it but it fails and tells me to verify or repair disk. But all the options are greyed out so I cannot do anything.
I also tried to completely erase/delete bootcamp partition using the bootcamp assistant and it does not work.
How can i resolve this issue??

You will need to boot into the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during restart and select it) to run Disk Utility/Disk Repair. I'd also repair permissions.

Lion Server 10.7.4 will not create users - please help

I am completely stumped.
I bought a Mac Mini Server yesterday and set it up successfully (Set OD, etc). Everything was working great until I went back and tried to create new users via the server app. As of now, it gives me the error "SEUserErrorDomain error1" and tells me that it cannot create the user. Even though it says that, it will still show up in the user list with the "blue globe" (that I believe is from OD?) but disappear the moment I drill into it and try to save anything. Workgroup Manager will allow me to create the user, but it does not show up in the user list in the server app so I cannot enable certain services for the user (i.e. assign folders for share point, etc).
I am new to Mac Server so any help would be appreciated.
P.S. Apple tech support had me reinstall the 10.7.4 combo update - no help. They also had me use disk utility to repair permissions - no help.
P.S.S. On a side note, I did install Samba 3 on the server via mac port to try and help with LDAP auth (I ended up going with pGina for my windows users), but I have no clue how to uninstall it. Not sure if that would create this issue or not (forgive my naivety).

They are all running, and there were no errors. However, after talking with Apple Support a few times, they helped me figure out how to fix it.
Our best guess is that when I pushed through the 10.7.4 combo update, it didn't take completely and corrupted the LDAP server. Thankfully, I had not spent a great deal of time on my users yet, so all we ended up having to do, was destroy the server and rebuild the Open Directory.
To destroy it, I opened terminal and ran this command: sudo slapconfig -destroyldapserver
Took about 10 minutes and it worked beautifully. Apple Tech Support did say, that as long as I had an archive of the Open Directory saved somewhere, I could have destroyed it and restored the information back from there. Not sure how this would have went down if I had already populated my info, but thankfully it was early enough on in the process that it did not set me back too far. Just glad it was resolved.

IPod touch found in iTunes but it will not sync. Please help.

I got a new (factory refurbished) 32gb 4th gen Touch to replace my 1st gen. iTunes finds it but will not sync to it. I've tried to reset (restore) the device as well as the PC its connecting to with no different results. Even did a Windows system restore to before the iTunes update (but it did not revert to older version of iTunes) and the outcome was still that the device will not sync. Both have the newest versions of software. The Apply button stays grey once changes are made (revert is enabled) and the sync option is grey in the summary screen and in the file drop down menu. I've ran the sync and connection diagnostic a half dozen times and every time it says the device is connected and able to sync. I've enabled all device helpers with iTunes and disabled both my firewall and my antivirus but still nothing works.

Yes that is what I meant. I restored or reset to factory setting/new iPod. It was already that way from the factory refurbish but I did try it. In fact I tried doing it both from the device itself and via iTunes, multiple times. No luck. Any other suggestions would be most welcome though, as I certainly may have overlooked something simple and or obvious to those more knowledgeable such are yourself.
Further info: I had a problem sync'ing my 1st gen about 2 weeks ago but it resolved when I disabled my antivirus and firewalls. Not sure if that really had any impact on the whole process but it was doing something very simular to this only then it was that it wouldn't detect the device. So I rebooted my PC and disabled my virus protection and firewalls and then plugged in the device and iTunes found it and sync'ed to it. Tried all that this time and no luck. I wanted to make sure all my apps and songs were on my PC so that when I got my new 4th gen I could get them all over to that (easily I had hoped). After that sync finally worked I updated to newest version of iTunes. Now with the new 4th gen it detects it fine but no sync.
Very frustrated and any help will be much appreciated!
