Lightroom would not open. Adobe registration keep coming up, and I'm already registered!

I have installed lightroom in my mac, but everytime I open it, the Adobe registration form comes on. I have entered the serial number repeatedly, but once I click "Finish," the whole thing disappears, and Lightroom does not open. Any advice for me? I'm trying to move from Aperture to Lightroom.

Yes, you get both photoshop and lightroom in creative cloud.
If you don't see "install" by Lightroom in the application manager, please first try signing out and back in: sign in and sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app

Then I chose administrator which opened Firefox browser, but, as a new Firefox installation. It did contain add-ons, but not book marks, history, downloads or preferences. Now i have started over from the beginning. Is there any way I can restore lost bookmarks and preferences? Do you think system restore would help?

It is a bad software update that was pushed out either last night or over the weekend. I was using it last night with no issues. You need to "RESTORE" the apple tv by hooking it up to a computer with ITunes. Preferably I tunes that is most current. Do it in this order:
1. Launch iTunes and wait till it is open.
2. Plug in the USB from computer to apple TV, not your normal USB, but is prevalent on many items.
3. Plug in AC power to Apple TV.
ITunes my automatically recognize the apple TV and will give you an option to restore. If it does not, it will populate in the ITunes bar like a phone or ipod would. Click on the icon and complete a restore.

Yes, sometimes the problem can happen before the window is able to show up.
As for the administrator password I'll double check if that's normal or also a symptom, but helping you with the password is not our area of expertise, you'd need to get support from Microsoft. Do you know if your account is admin or limited? You can try putting your credentials in.

I am just back from flying on Delta airlines across country and back. Both times my browser would not open to Delta's in flight wifi system. My wifi connection showed I was connected, but the browser would not open up. It just stalled and screen remained blank. I changed the setting in the view menu and now everything appears to be working fine. I cannot explain why it stopped working before because I hadn't made any previous changes to the view options.

Hard to say why you couldn't open them first time around...possibly low memory?
In any event, as to the question about which to keep. This is a topic that is argued long and hard here and in other forums.
For myself, I use only the NEF files and don't bother with DNG at all. Just can't see any long term advantage to force me to do all that extra work. Others feel that the "universal" format of DNG make it worthwhile.
Either way, it's hard to justify keeping both (though a few people do).

Lightroom 5.6 would not open and now I need to re-install, how?

Lightroom could not open due to an error. I let it do the new update hoping that might resolve the problem. When that didn't work I read that others had to uninstall and re-install the program to fix the error. At this point I have uninstalled it but Creative Cloud says I have it up to date. How do I re-install? It is not on my computer anymore.

The Apple Tech support person had me select all the Java folders and files in my library and delete the. I then downloaded Java 7. However, nothing happens when I click on the program icon. I went to reinstall the products, but the activation code was not valid (even though I got it off the Adobe site for my products with Adobe). I tried to install just one product (Illustrator) in the trial mode, but still nothing happens. How can I get my Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other programs to work?

Well, is the catalogue (and the folder it is in) writable? Have you actually checked the permissions? Lightroom won't be spitting out the error just to tick you off, and - computer wizard or not - this sounds very much like something you'll have to fix at the OS level: it's probably nothing to do with Lightroom or those funny lads at Adobe.

Just tried to download and install latest ITunes update and it would not finish update. I aborted the update and then my ITunes will not open. I keep getting and error stating that file MSVCR80.dll not found. I reinstalled my original ITune file but this did not clear this error. Any ideas.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
