Inconsistent billing/fluctuations in bill

Why each month there are inconsistency in bill amount.  Each time I call customer service, I get different answers and then get a credit or some offer or "special" package that decreases the bill for the moment just to see the bill increase in amount the next billing cycle.  No one can ever say what it is except maybe an increase in state/local fees (i.e. taxes, 911 fee increase or some sort of user fees increase).  Priime example I went from approx $297 in January 2012 to $350 in March and after calling in March back to $312, and since then a steady increase now (July) to approx $333.  What is it with Verizon?  Verizon is starting to be as bad as ComCast.

  • Billing Problem that can't seemed to be resolved by anyone

So I started a family plan with Verizon about 2 weeks ago. We got a two iPhone 5s ($550) and a single iPhone6($650), price per the Verizon website. We got charged for the equivalent of 2 iPhone6 and 1 iPhone5, $100 overcharged. I called Verizon to get this problem resolved, they informed me that since I started my plan through a retailer, I need to go to a Verizon store to resolve my problem. I went to the Verizon store, they agreed my bill was incorrect, but told me they weren't able to change it because I started the plan through a retailer who wasn't a Verizon store. I call Verizon back, tell them what the Verizon brick and mortar store told me, and they told me they aren't able to correct it, and that I should contact the store directly.
I call the store where I started the plan, the customer rep remembered me and I told him my problem, he said it must have been a mistake, and that he'd look into the problem for me. 3 days later, no call back, I call them. I get the store manager, who tells me that the billing was correct, that they charged me less for one and more for the other to balance the cost. WHAT?! Now I understand that retail stores can jack up the prices of the phones and the cost might not be the same as advertised on the Verizon website, but the sales rep admitted the mistake, and the way the manager explained the inconsistent bill simply makes no sense. The sales rep admitted he made a mistake, the manager wouldn't correct the bill. She offered me $100 store credit to offset the difference. Useless, I did the deal in LA, but live in San Diego.
Seems like no one can/want to help me, a mistake was made but I'm paying for it.

This is entirely with the store you bought it from.  Go to the corporate office customer relations for that company.   I have to agree with Verizon here, there is not much they can do.

  • Charging iPhone in Europe

I tried very hard to find the answer to my question, maybe it is too basic. We are traveling to Europe. Can I charge my iPhone with 220 volt electricity without frying it?

Well, there's really no debate about the not necessary part. The AC power adapters for almost all modern electronic appliances are auto switching, so all that's needed is a proper plug adapter. Personally, I've traveled from the through Europe, Africa, etc., with phone, computer, razor, etc., and never needed a converter.
The 'bad idea' part is more debatable, true. First off, if you don't need it, why use it? Second, quality and condition of the converter are a factor - low quality units (or higher quality ones previously damaged by surges) produce inconsistent voltage fluctuations, which can lead to excess heat in the converter and in the AC adapter connected to it. Also, as noted on the site you link, converters are generally not rated for continuous use. Some of the transformers (at the bottom of the page you link) are rated for that.
You also mention use with 'other appliances' - personally, my wife has 2000 W hair dryers and curling irons, either of which exceeds the capacity of a typical converter. Instead, we typically purchase inexpensive 'local' hair dryer for use while we're there, and give them away when we leave (only if needed - when in nice hotels in Europe, they are provided, but not, for example, in small towns in Rwanda - but there, the problem is not availability of appliances or whether or not you have a converter, it's whether or not there's electricity at all, or even running water ).

  • Charged twice, bill inconsistent.

So ever since my wife and I changed plans our bill has fluxuated widlly over the last three months. The first bill was $230 which is higher than it should be but it was also the first bill of the new plan, which I know can be higher. THe second bill was around 140, which is right where it should be based on our plans. The bill we get this month is for $260 dollars. So naturally I go and chack the bill, there is a data overage that adds up to $30, this was expected because we did go over this month, although it should only be 15 seeing as we only went one gig over but I have given up trying to understand Verizons billing practices anymore. I also noticed on the account that there is $122 dolars worth of equipment charges. Some of that has to do with out verizon edge payments but were were charged sales tax on the purchase again even though that is supposed to go on the first bill. Well actually my wife got charged twice, once in may and again this months for sales tax. My account on the other hand is an absolute mess and verizon did not charge me (for whatever reason) last month and is not tacking on the sales tax. This is the second problem I have had with verizon in two weeks, and also the the second time is two weeks that I'm sure that verizon is going to tell me basically "Oh, it was our mistake but it's your problem" because that is what happened last week. I am sure a verizon customer support rep can look back and read all about that wonderful game, but to summarize this was probably the last thing that verizon wanted to do to two long-time customers that wrer already on the verge of switching carriers due to POOR POOR customer service, shady billing practices, and a general sense that nobody at the company really knows what's going on. I need a customer service rep, whover handles such things, to look at this bill and get it back somehwere into the realm of reality. I understand that the data overage is my responsibility and I will pay that, no problem. But other than that, this bill needs to look like it's supposed to and not $120 dollars more than it should. If this doesn't happen, whithout verizon complaining to me and telling me it's my problem and to deal with it (which is basically what happened last week) my wife and I will be forced to take T-mobile up on their fabulous offer to pay our cancellation fees if we switch to them. I just don't have the time or  the will to keep playing these games with verizon so if this is going to be the norm I might as well go somehwere else and hope for the best instead of expecting the worst.

ansem35, it's important to us that we set the right expectation and ensure that you understand the charges on your billing statement. I'll walk you through the steps to uncover the mystery behind why your bill has been fluctuating for the last three months. First, let's take a look at the itemized detailed charges on your bill online at My Verizon so that I can walk you through the charges http://bit.ly/xB4iTc
You mentioned that you recently upgraded to a new phone with the Edge Program. There’s two reasons why your first bill after signing up for Edge might be higher than normal. Your plan change may have prorated charges based on the date during your bill cycle. Additionally, you are billed for the taxes on the purchase of that device, as well. However, we apologize if you were billed for an additional device payment since it wasn't applied to your bill correctly on the previous bill. This was billing error on our end. For more information regarding the Edge program, click http://vz.to/1olSLkw
Lastly, let's anlayze your average usage and get you on the best plan to avoid the $15.00 per GB overage charge. http://vz.to/1qhEcv5
We hope that we can restore your faith and prove that we're worthy of your continued business.

  • Order related billing for partial payment and inconsistent amounts

    Hi,
We are using billing plans with payment cards to capture payments before goods are delivered.  SAP doesn't seem to support credit cards for down payments, so we are entering the payment in the payment card and billing plan lines, then generating the F1 order-related billing.
Sometimes, the dollar amount is prorated proportionately, sometimes, it is disproportionately.  For example, if we have 5 line items for $100, $200, $300, $400, $500 a total net value of $1500, and the customer makes a credit card payment of $500, we are seeing that sometimes this explodes to $33, 66, 99, 122, 155.  Sometimes, it explodes to $0, $0, $0, $0, $500 in the billing document.
Where does SAP control the way the amounts are derived in the billing document?  This is milestone billing.
Ideally, we would like this evenly applied across all conditions.  I really need to understand how SAP handles this.  The configuration indicates that the pricing is copied straight from the order.  I don't see anything custom in the document copy procedure here.
I have had a difficult time finding anything in forums or on the internet in general, I've tried search terms such as "order related billing amount distribution" and "payment card amount allocation" as well as a few other terms but haven't found anything helpful.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

    System response:
Document xxxxxx IS NOT  a clearing document
    Question:
We have to reverse the clearing document first in order to cancel the related billing document but we keep finding this error, do Anyone have any advice to solve this issue?
We have simulated similar transaction in IDES and no problem is found, is there any specific setting in customizing that can allow cancellation of billing document regardless of its accounting document status (Cleared or Not Cleared) ?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Indro

Thanks a lot for the reply,
It answers my question, I found the copying requirement using routine 029 was defined in the cancellation document section of the Billing type to be cancelled
After removing, the billing document can be cancelled

  • Error while doing billing

    Hi every one'
i got an error while doing billing
Error :sub transactions in schema Z step 0001 inconsistent,
this error is comming while using transaction eamabi,
the schema is worked properly since i updated a line item for additional TAX,
and we created new sub transactins for additional vat,AND for the sub transactions i have added a new GL account,
and i have added those Sub transactions in the respective field of the rate,
I have maintained properly all the fica setting for the sub trasactions...like ek01 and ek02 and table te305 & tfktvo as well. Dont understand where the setting have been missed..Please let me kow if you come acrosee this kind of situation.
later i have deleted all the line items in tha same schema, and i have given only quanti01  variant
and does not have any vat related line item maintained at schema even though the same error proposed.
    regards
    BekMs

I think you need to ask FICA person to fix the subs, This is not billing or rate error. There must be some config missing in sub's and main. If you give another try with any other subs it should work. This will help you to double check too.

  • Error While Releasing the Billing Doc to Accounting.

    Hi All,
When I am Releasing the Billing Document to Accounting the Value of JIN2 Condition Type is not getting released to Accounting. It is giving the Following Error.FI/CO Interface : Balance in Transaction Currency. I have all maintained the Account Determination. But Still I am facing the same problem.
            Please suggest any Solution.
    Thanks,
    Prashant.

    Hi Prashant,
Please check the following function in transaction SE37
(here you could check if the functions enhancement is in any project and
also if the function is active): EXIT_SAPLV60B_001 - 011.
Using transaction CMOD you could take a look at user exits that are
active in your system. Please de-active projects in particular relating
to the billing process than check whether the error resists.
Also check to make sure that there is not an unused user exit active.
Regarding to use exits created data inconsistencies please find the
    attached note:
160211 Usage of USER_EXIT creates data inconsistency
    Please also find the note
    48431 Unused user exit runs
how to check if a user exit is active.
The list of user exits with specifications please find in the following
note: 301077 User exits for the interface to accounting
If these notes are not helpful please check another possible cause of
error F5702. Sometimes this error is triggered when the net value is
changed in pricing (userexit, own routine or formula). Please check also this
    possible reason.
    Cheers,

  • Offered the Edge program months ago, as a solution to reduce current bill, and compete with other providers. Offer no longer available till next year, then November, then October 2nd, now given confirmation number that can be looked up but not completed?

Final offer is to just continue to pay $260/mo, and call back on October 2nd, as that is the date I can change my four lines to EDGE and save per month. The initial offer did not include a $25/line discount and required me to Upgrade my phones. I have four Iphone 5S model devices, sharing 10GB of data.
Months ago that offer would just cost more per month and lacked a device to offer me. Later I saw an add that mentioned a $25/line discount for Edge. That would drop my bill $100/month! I asked about the plan again at that time. I was told that I was still eligible, but there was no way to keep my current phones, and work them into the Edge plan. Once the Iphone 6 was announced, I now had a phone that was an upgrade, and I was ready to take the offer. I was told at a store that the offers have no specific terms, and they must be taken when offered. They said I would qualify for another chance in November! I called CS and was told that my next Offer to take the plan would be October 2nd. I went online and at 3:01am EST to pre-order. My phones ship date was October 7th, and I was told that, I then qualified for the Edge, due to the date, but only one line could be activated that way and the rest needed to be done at a store. I was given a confirmation number. Due to glitches that night, I placed this order on my own computer and the customer service agent at the same time, (he was on with me for 3 hours) till one of us was successful. My computer gave me the confirmation number, but the number is a customer service generated confirmation number. Internet services cannot help me confirm the order, because the number is CS. CS cannot help because I did it online. My plan has not changed and going to a verizon store, after staying up all night to preorder, I was told that they have no idea if it went through or not, and to wait and see if my order arrives at home on the 7th. During the store managers "search" he asked for my password,number/username, secret questions, secret site picture (confirmed) last four of my social, kept my family and I in the store 40 min past closing time, answering nothing and leaving me concerned in my sleep deprived state. Calling CS after that, only told me to change my password and again, wait till October 7th, as neither CS or internet dept. are sure of what happened. Neither would actually put a supervisor on the phone, it disconnects while waiting. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? I don't feel like its safe to go to the local verizon store. CS did not feel as though the managers actions were disciplinary other than to change my password immediately, to prevent unauthorized access. Who are you supposed to trust with your private information? who can you trust to get the truth? The only thing the run around has done is prevent me from pre-ordering from another provider. I was even told that if I did, and Verizon preorders also came on the 7th, that I would have to pay for them too. $35 restocking fee at minimum.

Yes, I am aware of the new phone costs being added back to the plan. My issue is not with the current iteration of the EDGE plan, but with the inconsistent instructions to implement the plan. So far no one can tell me what changes have been made, if any to my current plan. The status of the pre-order? Plus my security concerns have not yet been addressed.
What they will offer, is the EDGE plan, plus specific dates of delivery, for any additional lines that I would like to order above and beyond my current 4 lines. Yet the status of those lines are still in limbo. That was the term they used. Why would I want to purchase additional phones and lines of service when they cannot find my original order. If those phones do arrive in October, they would add 4 more lines of service totaling 8 lines of EDGE. I am not sure why this cannot be fixed beyond, wait and see. I am currently testing out an Iphone 5S with T-mobile. So far I am getting similar signal quality, and they offer Wifi calling that will be enabled with a new iPhone 6, that needs to be taken into account with the comparison. I've read that Verizon will enable the feature mid 2015. Four Iphone Plus models would run me about $225/mo as the most expensive option, still saving me monthly. I know verizon has good service where I live, tmobile is unknown, and after being treated so poorly, I am looking into with the test phone.

  • COPA -Credit Memo without reference to a Billing Document

    Hi -
When we create a credit memo without reference to a billing document ( Manully entering a value in condition type), Data flows to COPA as -ve irrespective of +/- sign ticked in KE4I. This creates inconsistancy  if we chose +/- for some discount condition types as they come to COPA as positive when the credit memo is created with reference. Any ideas, how to handle this ??
More info: In SD conditon type maintenance plus/minus = positive. It has to be postive then only customer gets credited when a credit memo is created.
    Thanks
    Krishna

    Thanks Ajay -
    Example:
    1) I have a condition type in billing  Z012 - Additinal Discounts... asigned to VV230 - Discounts. From billing, VV230 gets a +ve value lets say $100.
    2) I have a credit memo ( stand alone, not refering to a billing doc), it has a condition type ZZ12 which can be manually entered and is also assigned to VV230. Now, VV230 gets -ve values lets say -$50.
In reporting, VV230 shows $50 ( +100-50), but the total discounts given to customer is $150.
    Where is it going wrong?
    Thanks

  • Expected Price ED1 EDI2 Sales Order & Incompletion issues re: Delivery/Bill

    Hi,
We are using ED1 and EDI2 conditions for expected price on the sales order to trigger incompletion.  This works fine, and it's possible to use V.25 to release or manually adjust the pricing conditions to match.
However we have problems in the way it is working re: Header/Item - if say we have two lines, line10 EDI1/2 prices are ok, complete; line 20 EDI1/2 conditions also added but incorrect and therefore incomplete.
Now when user trys to create a Delivery - they can create a delivery for line 10 but the line 20 errors because it is incomplete.  This at line level would be ok, if we could subsequently Bill this line, but doing this through VF01 errors because of message 'VF055 (VF)055 Pricing error in document'
The only way to clear it is to clear line 10 on the sales order, say V.25 which then allows Line 10 to also be Delivered and Billed.
The above is with incompletion status group 06 which should prevent Delivery & Billing.   Alternatively we could use Incompletion status 02, which blocks Delivery but allows Billing.
However this is inconsistant with the EDI1/2 conditions - Delivery seems to be blocked at the Item Level, but Billing at Header Level.
Is there a solution?  Ideally we want the either:-
    i) Delivery to prevented if any line is incomplete for EDI1/2, or
ii) Billing to be prevented only if the line Billed on the Delivery is incomplete on the Sales Order, not any line.
    Any advice appreciated.

    Hi,
I suggest you check copy control (delivery->billing) at item level in tr. VTFL.
Do you use standard routine in 'copying requirements' ? If needed you can also create custom routine that would not raise error for your scenario.

    Dominik Modrzejewski
