Lines in all prints

My company utilized a M1530MFP to print out shipping documentation (Packing slips, Sales orders, etc...) After about three months of owning the printer, with the factory cartridge, the printer began printing lines with a 60% full cartridge. These lines happen in any printing, copying, etc... Any time toner is laid down on paper, lines show up. We replaced the cartridge with another official HP cartridge, and at about 72% the lines reappeared. We cleaned this cartridge thoroughly, and then reused it. The lines still happened. We finally replaced this cartridge again, this time with an unofficial product, and it is doing it again at about 64% full. Do I just have a faulty printer, or is this a common issue with this model and we just need to go to a different brand?

It may not be the toner becoming defective but rather being very low on toner even though the percentage on the supplies status tells you different.  Most hp printers calculate toner based on 5% coverage and some printers even adjust that percentage during the first 30 days of operation.  Sometimes the percentage can be as low as 2% and unfortunately is not adjusted again.  What happens many times is the printer's operations change and the coverage increases to 20% or even higher.  Since the printer does not know the new coverage it bases the percentage on the older lower coverage and the toner cartridge statistics reflect this even though in actual terms the toner is out of toner.  This may or may not be your case.  Open the drum cover on the toner cartridge and see if the lines are present.  If you have one of the older toners do the same.  If the lines are in exactly the same place it is always possible there is something (transfer roller) or something else causing the lines to embed in the drum and causing the issue.  If the lines are not in the same place I would think it is just toner cartridge starting to go bad.  At 5% coverage you should get about 2000 pages.  At 20% coverage you will only get 500 pages.

  • Using ePrint on Mac w/Mountain Lion - print jobs line up, nothing prints, system says all is fine.

Installed Mountain Lion and first day eprinting was fine.  Following day nothing would print.  All print jobs say received and pending.  WiFi works, test wifi print works, machine functions are correct just can't get anything to print.  Very frustrated.

    Hi there;
I hope you are doing well and sorry to learn  that you are having this issue
It looks like the printer is not getting a connection to the ePrint server. That is most probebly why the print jobs are not printing. Bear in mind that if you disable web services your current email will be locked for 6 months no way around that, you can if you want customize your email to one close to the one you currently have by adding a 1 (number) or another Letter to the old one.
    1. You will need to disabled web services.
Web Services must beenabled on your HP product in order to use the ePrint service. If Web Services is disabled, ePrint will not work.
From the product control panel, press the ePrint button ( ). The Web Services Settings menu displays.
Press the button ( ) next to the Down Arrow ( ) to select Turn ePrint off and  restart the printer and them turn the printer On , and then press the button ( ) next to OK . An information page prints.
    2. Now re-enable web services.
    3. You can print out the printers email address.
    4. Follow these steps to register at ePrintCenter.
Go to ePrintCenter , and then click Sign In . The Sign In to ePrintCenter window opens.
In the Sign In to ePrintCenter window, click Create an account . The Create an HP Web Services account window opens.
Enter your information in the text fields, and then click Create Account . The Add a Printer to your Account window opens.
In the Enter Printer Code text box, type the printer code found on the information page that you printed in the previous step.
    6. Enter the printer code that printed out on the sheet of paper.
    7. The printer should now show up as Connected and Ready in your account.
Let me know if you still having this issue after this troublesooting I will do my best to help you.
    Hope this helps!

I have mentioned internal tabel as well work area table in "DATA" tab in table Node.
In Row1 I have created Text Node in every cell having Column Heading.
In Row2 I have created Text Node in every cell having variable.
In Row3 all cells are blank.

Did you debug and check the umber of values in internal table before calling the TABLE Node....
seeing all SELECT SINGLE along with WHERE = condition and no loop call on them, my assumption  is there will be on record only. Check in Debug mood. Search forum to find how to debug a smartform.

  • Print line number on print layout

    Hi all,
Is there a way to print the line number on the print layout?
    Thanks,
    Jane

    Hi,
Try this, you will get Line Number in Print.
    1st Method,
->> Open your PLD. Create 1 System Variable Field in Repetetive Area.
    ->> Put Variable No. - 77
    Else, 2nd Method,
->> Open your PLD. Create 1 Formula Field in Repetetive Area.
    ->> Put this Formula LineNum().
    Regards,
    Madhan.

  • Lines in photo prints

Recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows XP.  All printing is fine except photographs.  Lines appear in the photo print and color quality is not acceptable.  Documents print fine.  Test print is good.  Installed all new ink catridges.

Make sure you have selected the appropriate photo paper in the paper/quality tab.  If you print on photo paper with plain paper settings the quality will suffer.  Also for best results select "Best" quality.

  • Deskjet F4580 HP60 ink Horizontal Lines, Tried all possible solutions

I have a HP Deskjet F4580 (Old, I know) that has been sitting in my closet for about a year. I just bought a full amount of new ink for it (and probably paid more for ink than the printer is worth), but while the black ink works fine, the color ink does not, giving me white lines through the color bands on every possible test or diagnostic page that I could possibly print. I have cleaned the cartridges, cleaned the contacts, reset the printer, run print nozzle cleaning, and run alignments. I am at the tipping point of dreaming about all the violent ways that I could possibly dispose of this printer in a way that would make the $75 I spent on ink worth it. ANY suggestions are welcome, but I have spent all of my tech prowess scowering the internet for clues, so please don't suggest a forum search. What baffles me the most is that since multiple cartidges don't work, I would assume the problem to be with the printer itself, yet the black cartridge works fine.
    Thank you all,
    Ryan
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I would suggest the troubleshooting steps in the document here.  When you print a diagnostic page as shown in solution six are there lines through all three colors in the same place?  If so the issue is almost certainly an electrical contact between the printer and cartridge or a failed cartridge.  To address this I would suggest cleaning the cartridge and printer contacts as shown in the document here.  (This is for a different model but the procedure is the same.)
If this does not resolve the issue please scan and post the diagnostic page you printed.  Black out the serial number information in line 11. for privacy.

  • Horizontal lines don't print

When printing Excel spreadsheets on my HP Officejet 5470 in Draft mode, many horizontal lines fail to print.  If I switch to Normal mode, all lines print.  I prefer Draft mode for faster printing and to save ink.  My 2-month-old Officejet 5470 replaced an Officejet 4500 on which I never had this problem.  Any idea what's wrong and how I can fix it?  Thanks.

Oops - Imeant to say 5740, not 5470

  • T's L's and I's move up a line when I print

Why do all of the T's L's and I's move up a line when I print?

Often just drying it out provides no resolution to existent problems, and only may serve to stave off additional damage.
Th impurities in the water can conduct electricity, causing a short, which can be permanent. As well, and residual misture can contribute to corrosion, which will cause additonal shorts and open circuits, than can quickly escalate to total system failure.
If there is any chance of saving your system, it will be necessary to act quickly. Do not try to dry the unit through traditonal drying methods. An electronic device will absolutely require disassembly. Be prepared to find the cost to repair can easily exceed the current value of the device.
I advise you to immediately back-up your system, and render the unit for diagnosis and repair. Or you can try drying and hope and wait.

  • Yellow lines across my printed photo

I am getting lines across my printed photo using my PSV2400 and Vista. I assume I may be running out of ink but I don't know if it is my color cartridge or black cartridge. I am running Vista and I do not have the utility installed that will tell me approximately how much ink I have left. My CD says it will work on all windows operating systems up to XP. Is there some place I can download the Print Manager utility, for Vista that will help me out on my ink usage?
Thanks for the help and Happy New Year

what makes you say it's the mac? sounds like you have a screw loose somewhere in the printer.
clean the heads and try printing on a different type of paper or try setting the type of paper in your print setup before you print.

  • Can I merge several different Verizon plans (different family members each have own plans) into one plan (i.e. can I take over all their lines), if all lines on all plans are on Edge?

I was originally told by Verizon that if I joined, I can eventually take over the lines of various family members.  Now that I've joined, and my family members all upgraded their phones and are on Edge, Verizon is telling us that we can't merge into one plan (because Edge lines can't be transferred to another account).
Is this true, and, if so, what is my recourse since I was lied to.

Well, yes and no (as far as being lied to).  I asked on several occasions (I have the chat transcripts to prove it) if there would be any issue if the lines were all already on Edge, and was told each time that under no circumstances would there be any issue.  The latest being today (I know it's after the fact, but I wanted proof that this is what the chat people are saying).  I asked "I have currently have an account with 3 phones on Edge.  My brother and his wife, and my parents, also have plans all on Edge.  I would like to 'take over' their lines.  I want to make sure there is no issue with the Edge plan and that I can simply 'take over' their lines with no problems."  I was told "Yes. That would be correct."  Again, this is what I was told in the past as well (my original post didn't make clear the timing of the chats and upgrades to Edge..).  Every time I chatted I mentioned that the accounts were going to be on Edge or (later on) were already on Edge.  Even before my family members upgraded to Edge, not one single chat or phone representative (and my brother asked the same thing in a store) mentioned NOT to upgrade to Edge because it couldn't be transferred.  Everyone just said yep, no problem.  The ONLY reason I even joined Verizon (I was on Straight Talk) was because of the More Everything and Edge plans (we wanted a family plan with 6 people and over 10GB so we'd each save $25/line).  Otherwise I never would have joined Verizon and my family wouldn't have upgraded either.

  • Get credit memos to print on Dunning Level - All Print layout

    Greetings,
I am wondering why credit memos do not show on the dunning level - all print layout.  If I click on the edit icon it lists credit memos within here and it looks like they should print, yet when I run the wizard and I have a customer with a credit memo on their account it does not show on the statement printout.  Any ideas?
The only clue is on the dunning recommendation report all outstanding invoices get flagged to dunning level 1 whereas the credit memo stays at level 0.
Thanks for any help you can give.
    Aaron

The reason behind - might be an outstanding functions need to be developed later or a bug.  Only if the link is there, you may print them out.  This is a fixed PLD that you don't have any controls.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Deleting all print jobs on a computer with network accounts

In a school environment, we are using a network server with individual student accounts. Is there a way to delete all print jobs for all users on a given computer? I can reset print system and it only clears the print jobs for that single user.

System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
    Click: Open Print Queue
You should be able to delete print jobs from there.

  • Selection of a line Item for printing

    Hi,
I am fetching three records in an ALV grid display with a check box option, i am not getting how to use the check box option to select the particular selected line, i want to use that selected line to be printed in a smart form. Also is there any other option for selecting a particular line through ALV grid  to print in the smart form.
    Thanks,
    Swarna

Swarna 2 points here, u r saying checkboxes..?And wht if user chooses more than one checkbox..?? Or you want to display the records in ALV and choose any one record and pass the values to SMARTFORM..??
I guess you want to pass only one record if that is the case then use radiobutton funtionality, and by using EVENTs capture the choosed line and pass the same to SMARTFORM. Let me know if you have queries. If you ask me to code  then i will charge for that..:) :).

  • Printer just started feeding a blank page after some, but not all printed documents

Printer just started feeding a blank page after some, but not all printed documents

    Hi @cam21 ,
I understand that you are having issues printing, after some documents you are getting blank pages. I would be happy to help you.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
What application are you printing from?
It may be a setting in the application.
Does this happen from all applications?
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. http://www.hp.com/go/tools>Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!
