Lines in pdf format
Hi
I have a report and in the template i have made only top lines of the frames visible for group breaks . This is working fine in the reports where each group is being seperated by a line( top edge of the frame) However when i convert this into pdf format i get all the lines visible and get an ugly box surrounding my report . This does not happen when i conver into rtf format ... i need my reports in pdf format only ... any suggestion in how these lines can vanish

Thank you for your response . I am doing it the way you have said . But the problem is now i dont get any lines , i need the top lines to seperate one group from another .... right now i am drawing lines in the groups .... as the future reports are to be done by customer ( who is not an expert in reports ) i was wondering if i can set the property in template and give the template to him ... it would be less work for him .... anyway thanks for your inputs .... feels good to know that someone else has looked into your problem ... thanks

How to display the data in PDF format : problem is splitting into 2 lines

I developed one report which downloads the data into PDF format and saved in C drive but my problem is
in my program : Line size of the report is 255 in PDF it is splitting into 2 lines. it has to show in a single line. how to do it. how to reduce the width of the output? i am sending my code below. anybody can suggest me how to do it. if possible please send me the code.

AI 3D extrusions - lines / streaks / striations in PDF format file

Acrobat: 9.4.6
I am attempting to create a shaded vertical cylinder using AI's 3D extrusion function.
When shading is applied to the object, I am getting lines / streaks / striations in the PDF format file when viewed in Acrobat.
JPG and PNG exports do not exhibit the lines / streaks / striations.
The error is appearing in cylinders oriented vetically. It is not appearing in cylinders rotated to a non-vertical angle.

I received the test prints back and they exhibit exactly the same errors as the PDF file viewed on screen.

The effect is reduced by selecting "draw hidden faces," but not eliminated. The number of blend steps also affects the amount of the error that is manifested, but again, does not eliminate the error.
The only way to eliminate the error is to use the exact same color for both stroke and fill.
Depending on the shape, that may or may not be an issue.
The Illustrator and Acrobat product teams will need to fight it out as to which is responsible for the error but from the customer perspective, the error has only one logo: Adobe. -
Converting spool of line width more than 850 char to PDF format in ECC 6.0.
Hello Experts.
I am facing problem while trying to convert a spool (generated from background scheduling of an ALV ) to PDF format in ECC 6.0.
The ALV has 45 columns. Using SAP note no 1226758 I am able to increase the spool width but when I am converting the spool to PDF using FM 'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF' the end caharacters are getting truncated .
Please reply ASAP . Any suggestion/Hint will be appreciated.

according to the printer setting the output is created.
choose any below format TYPES...X_65_256/2

Is it possible to run a report in PDF format ad email it to some clients after a specific event through Database Trigger. For example whenever a client makes an entry into order entry table (through entry form), a trigger should execute on Orders table, this trigger should execute or generate a PDF formatted report and finally mail it to Sales team?

Following is the procedure to convert alv output to spool and then it to PDF Format.
After we display the ALV, we can check whether it is running in the background using system field u2018sy-batchu2018. Then,we call an function module named u2018GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFOu2019 to get the current job information. Then go to spool request table tbtcp to get the spool id.

Carriage Returns / Line Breaks & PDF
I have a requirement to display a customers address in 1 column of a PDF report.
The address is stored in the RPD as Address1, Address2, etc. etc.
I use the answer of the question "Carriage Returns / Line Breaks" as a basic startup.
( Question Registered the 02/24/10 from user12673225 )
I get a great result in the HTML report.
But, when I print the report in PDF the HTML control codes appear in the PDF report.
e.g.

if line is extented..thenit is prining the in the next line..
but that next line is not starting after one tab space.
so how to remove that space.

Error while sending PO output through mail in PDF format - Urgent

Developed program to send sapscript output through mail in pdf format, the program running properly, even function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 returning sy-subrc 0. But the external mail is not going to user lying in SAP outbox with message <b>"Wait for communications service"</b> . SCOT is properly configured, tested mails sending through SAP office.

Try like this and inform me
A cyclic job runs, which processes the messages seen in the SOST queue.
Are you sure it's not the frequency of the cyclic job, rather than the
number of messages in the queue, that you are observing? In messages
that are queued and before the cyclic job runs, "wait for comm. service"
is the normal status.
If you mean that there are always 4 items queued in SOST regardless of
the cyclic send job, then I have no ideas. I would have thought there
was no way to do that.
when the send job runs it just never
picks them up & sends them, while it picks up many others. The send job
is somehow blind to these; no error message occurs. In this case, I
'delete' them from the queue (in SOST) and then 'undelete' (drop down
menu -> /Go to /Deleted Items) them and then re-queue them. THEN they
actually get picked up & sent when the next cyclic send job executes.

How to send a mail more than 255 characters in PDF format
Hi Experts
I am facing a problem sending an ALV list spool as an email attachment in PDF format. Here my problem is spool has morethan 255 characters, so the contents are trukated after 255.
I am using the FM "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1" to send the email. Please give any good suggestion.

Convert Smartform in PDF format and send to SAP Workplace
Hi to all.
I need help of somebody expert in SMARTFORM's.
I need to convert a smartform into PDF format and to send as attachement for SAP workplace
of the user.
I developed the next code.
IT is to function and to send the mail for SAP workplace, but it happens that smartform
contains images (logos) and tables, when the user tries to open the file pdf in inbox gives
to error - "An unrecognized token ' q0 ' was found".
I tried to call a smartform only with text and functioned well.
Somebody can help me?
