Link Button to User Table

Hi. I have tried to search for this but cant get anything. I know how to add a link button to a matrix column when the link is to an SBO Business Object. what i need to do is to add add a link button to a user table.

I'm using SAP B1 8.81 with B1DE.
I have added a grid which is populated from a DataTable to a form.
One of the columns in the grid contains the DocEntry of a User Defined Object.
How can I display a link button on the grid ?

You need to set the column object type.

You then need to catch the et_MATRIX_LINK_PRESSED event and other your user form...

Error while linking udf to user table.

Hi All,
If i am gong to joined my UDF to user table by using option then alphanumeric size of that udf changes to 8 from 15. In such condition when i m going to update ths udf thn it is giving error as "Alphanumeric column size cannot be decreased".

Hi,
You can bring the link button in user designed forms using SDK, but you cannot create the Link button in SAP standard forms. It's hard to bring the link button in SAP standard forms.

I´m sorry to tell that you can only show system objects and UDO objects using the link buttons. What I don´t know is if your for is for a UDO, SBO is able to know that it should open that form or it opens the standard one.
In case it doesn´t show the form you need, what you could do is use the linked button for a user defined object, set the linked object property to BoLinkedObject.lf_None and then handle the On_Click event and show your user form.

Command link / button action is not taking place if i use it in iterator.

I am new to ADF, i am facing 1 issue while implementing ADF mobile browser application.
Issue: command link / button action is not taking place if i use it in iterator. its just refreshing the page it self and displaying as no records.
Scenario is i am populating the search results in results page from search page using iterator, i want to get the complete details in different page (results page -> details page) .
I have tried in different ways.like

*Update to issue:*
The actual issue is when i use command link/button in an table/iterator whose parent tag is another iterator then the action is not taking place.
the structer of my code is

#command link action1 is working but "#command link action2" is not...

To solve my problem I used a af:foreach instead.

DTW, UDF and User Tables

I always see posts about DTW, so I tried looking to see if i could find what I need, but I couldn't...
The thing is, I've created a UDF called IsExclusive to Item Master Data, and I've set Valid Values for it (Yes and No)
Now, I'm trying to import the items via DTW, and I needed it to use one of the valid values i've set before.
In other words, I need it to work like the Ship Type field. While importing I choose a number in my spreadsheet and DTW automatically reads that number in the correct table and shows me the shipping type.
The IsExclusive field is one example, I'm also going to need to link DTW to an UDF that's linked to an user table.
Is any of it possible?

If I understand this correctly, you UDF in the Item Mater ( U_IsExclusive ) has been definied with Valid Values for Field. I presume they look like
Code - Name
Y - Yes
N - No
I think you would know that in your DTW template, you simply have to enter 'Y' or 'N' in the U_IsExclusive column. SAP will automatically link this to Yes or No and display in the same in OITM. I am not sure how better you want to handle this.
What is your thought on the UDT. Can you show an example of how your values are defined in your UDT.

If you have an UDO in your form, or any other, the FormDataLoad eventhandler should be used.
Take care, it is not inside the eventhandler.
for VB:
Select SBO_APPLICATION in the classes, and select FormDataLoad event

Linking user table with system table

Hello, I'm trying to link a user table with IC table in order to asign many sales person to a customer.
I've created a new button in the IC form. When clicked a new form is opened to asign sales person to the IC. Now I need to retrieve the records assigned to this IC. How can I do that???

Hi Angel,
I would put a matrix in the new form where you could see/asign/delete the sales person.
Have a look at this post where you can find a great code from Sebastian Danober to fill a matrix from a recordset.
Another option could be to modify the existing IC form and add a new folder with a matrix where you can manage the sales person.
Check this other post with code for adding folder to an existing form.

Best way to link user form with user table

Hi all.
What is the best way to link an user form with a user table (with all of the functions, add, update...)? I have created a simple form, and the question is next:
depending the type object of the user table (document, master...) i have facilities to imlement the basic operations in the form? if i create an UDO i have the functions but i want to use the form that i created with a screen painter.

If i want do all functions (add,update...) of my form in my user table, and i want my user table is a <b>type document</b>? how can add new lines in my user table with objet <b>type document</b>? because when i make the instance i nedd to say what type of document is (item,order...) and when i do an add(), not add() in my user table. In what moment or how can assign that the add,update functions... affect in my table?

Linking UDF to User Defined Table

Dear Experts,
I have a UDF on the batch tables that I would like to link to a User defined table. After creating the link, the UDF drop down cannot open up to display anything. The drop down box is there on the UDF but cannot open or drop to display anything from the user defined table.
Has anyone came across this problem before ?

When you click on the UDF for the drop-down, do you see an option for "Define New"?

The table which contains this data is PA0105. The value of field USRTY should be '0001'. For example if u want to get the UNAME related to an employee.

Even by standard, this is not possible only when you using UDO.
You can create your form with Matrix, and use FlushToDataSource Method to load large amount of data inside. Now you can program the linked button click (et_MATRIX_LINK_PRESSED) by columns.

Adding keys to user tables

In the process of trying to add a key to a user table, I am being told that there are other users attached to the database. The only user attached to the database is me and I have no other connections running that I know of. The process continues if I click on the ignore button but then fails with the message "other users are currently connected to the database". Any suggestions?

Which database platform are you using?
If it's SQL then I recommend you check the Current Activity node in SQL Enterprise Manager (or the Activity Monitor in SQL Server Management Studio if you are using SQL 2005). If there are any processes linked to the database then they will show up in this screen, regardless of their source (e.g. SBO, ODBC etc). If you are sure that the process can be safely removed then you can right-click it and choose Kill Process. Repeat until there are no unwanted processes on the database.
An alternative is just to stop and restart the SQL Server service but obviously you'd need to make sure that no users were connected to it via any applications.

Linked Button error in a subReport with Crystal Reports

I have a designed a subreport with Crystal Report, and I have add the Sap Linked button (OLE Object), to allow the user to click on the linked button and open the relativa Sap Document (Invoice, Delivery, etc etc).
In the hypetetx linked property, I have write the link
'http://$b1$/link=OINV&key=1'
In this way all is ok, but In my query I have the name of the table and the DocEntry, so I try this way:
'http://$b1$/link='&{Comando.Table}&'&key='&{Comando.DocEntry}
If I try to open the document, I retrieve the error: You are not permitted to perform this action. Authorisation Path: Help.
I don't understand if the problem is the authorization (i am manager, superuser) or if I had write in a wrong mode the hypertext link. (maybe the Apex?)
Anybody can help me?
