Link in Grid to Activity

Does anyone know the object type to link a column in a grid to an Activity?

Hi,
Activities (OCLG) are represented in the DI API with the object called Contacts, witch has object type number 33 (just have a look to BoObjectTypes).
To specify the column of the Grid has to point to the Contacts table just add the following lines:
Dim oGrid As SAPbouiCOM.Grid
Dim gridEditCol As SAPbouiCOM.EditTextColumn
oGrid = oForm.Items.Item("xxxx").Specific
gridEditCol = oGrid.Columns.Item("xxxxx")
gridEditCol.LinkedObjectType = 33

Direct link between SES to activity in tables?

hello all
is there a way to have a direct link between a Service entry sheet and its activities in tables?
so far, the only link we found is the following:
table ESSR enter SES number: get package number and enter it in table ESLL. this will give me a sub package which I can enter in the package number by running a search on table ESLL again.
can i get this process by making only one link instead of twice?

lets see: service entry sheets have activity lines.
the SES is in table ESSR while the activity lines are in table ESLL.
in order to make the link between the SES and its own activity lines, I use the package number from table ESSR but, this package number, is NOT a direct link.
meaning: the steps I follow are like this:
1) enter SES number in table ESSR and get Package number
2) enter package number in table ESLL and get SUB package number
3) enter SUB package number in field package number in table ESLL: this will give me finally the activities related to the SES.
what I want, is a direct link: SES, package number, activity (or any direct link is fine)

Link is no longer active error

I could only find non-answered posts to my problem so I'm posting it again.
When I try to share a link of a folder with jpeg images, my recipient get the following message: "Sorry, this link is no longer active."
When I sign out of my account, I sometimes get this message as well.
I couldn't find any behavior I can reproduce, as far as I can tell it is totally random.
I'm on a Mac Pro running OS X Mavericks.
Any Suggestions?

I faced similar problems too. Last week there was a creative cloud update that generated a new Creative Cloud Folder as well as Creative Cloud (Unknown) Folder. Check on your drive to see if the Creative Cloud (Unknown) Folder was created. In my case is where I found my linked images to my IND & PDF files in the Creative Cloud Folder. The only way I rectified the MAJOR problem that infernal update did was to manually reset all IND links and re-create PDFs from the "new" Creative Cloud Folder. The reason (?): is that with the Creative Cloud (Unknown) Folder changed the directory path to your assets (images) for your files that you share with your recipients. Regardless if your file is in the Creative Cloud Folder--your links are to the Creative Cloud (Unknown) Folder. You have to reset them is the only solution I found to the dilemma. Hope this makes sense?

Im having problems with Safari 5.1.10. I often have several tabs open on screen. And after a while the links/websites become not active. So if click on a tab and want open a previous website it than has to re-load again in the window. Can I change this ?

Empty the Safari cache more often.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Trying to share link to file on cloud - recipient gets an error saying link is "no longer active"

I am trying to share a video file stored on Adobe Creative Cloud storage. I click "Send link", check "Allow file download", enter recipient's email address and click "Send link." The recipient receives the link in an email message but when they try to use the link to access the file they get an error saying the link is "no longer active". There was very little delay between sending the link and their trying to use it. I can watch and download the file myself on my Creative Cloud storage. This service is fairly new to me. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

Pages 5.5 - http links in documents not 'active'?

After upgrading to Yosemite (10.10) and Pages 5.5 all http links in my Pages documents return a 'pop up box' that allows me to 'edit' the link or 'go to page' - - I find this aggravating... How do I make the links 'active' so when I click on the link Pages takes me directly there without the 'pop up'....

You don't fix it. When you get that edit link pop-up — tap the space bar and off you go to that web site.

Links in pdf not active from Preview

If I create a pdf from a Word .doc file, the links are not active in Preview but are active if I use Adobe Reader 10 (I prefer Preview as my default pdf reader). However if I have Google download a document as a pdf file, that pdf file has active links in Preview - what's the difference and how can I get Preview to always have active links in a pdf file that is created by OSX?

hello, the pdf viewer is still somewhat experimental and under very active development - you could try if the same error is occurring in the current development version, which you can download as an addon from http://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/extensions/firefox/pdf.js.xpi
in case it has the the same rendering problems, you could then file a bug report at https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues (a github account is necessary for it though) - please also provide a sample document where the error is apparent!

Link between partner and activity

HI,
I'd like to know the table where I can find together the Activity ID and Business partner information.
Otherwise, I'd like to know a table contains the information present in tcode CRMD_ORDER.

you can link the tables as:

Where can I find a link to buy the activation key?

My laptop dies and I replaced it. I need Acrobat for my work. So I downloaded the trial version. It works just fine. The trial expired and I want to purchase the activation key. I cannot find a link anywhere on the Adobe website. Can someone point me in the right direction?

This seems to be comically difficult. Here are some instructions which someone worked out somehow...!

Oracle Primavera P6 Professional Attached Text Linked Directly to An Activity Delete Problem

Hi All,
We have a strange situation:
In one instance of Oracle Primavera P6 Professional (8) we have Attached Text which is Linked Directly (i.e. dependent) to an Activity. I am unsure how this was achieved, because in another instance of Oracle Primavera P6 Professional (8) we have Attached Text which is NOT Linked Directly (i.e. independent) to an Activity; i.e. the situation is not duplicated in all instances of Oracle Primavera P6 Professional (8). Both instances are standalone on separate PCs.
The problem is when we want to Delete attached text which no longer applies (e.g. last month it was valid, but this month, we no longer want to display the attached text); in the first instance, when we select the attached text and click on the DELETE key, we get a prompt to delete the "linked" activity! However we do NOT want to delete the activity, we only want to delete the attached text. In the second instance we have no such problem and we can deleted the attached text as desired.
For the first instance we have a workaround which is to double click the attached text and remove the text, so all that remains is a blank attached text "box", then saving the layout, but this is not ideal/desired; we want to delete the attached text.
Does anyone have any ideas?
What should we be looking at with regards to Settings/Options, etc.

Small clarification on Step **6) Oracle Home Directory, ...a) Resize the Root Partition**
Ubuntu 11.10 has Gparted available as a Ubuntu software download, DONT use that while trying the above step, instead download the ISO file from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted-live-stable/ gparted-live-0.12.0-5.iso (124.6 MB)
Burn that ISO file on a Blank DVD, reboot the Ubuntu , during startup select Boot from DVD Option if not already selected. this will take to Boot Menu Options of Gparted Live then select the first menu option, and this allows to do further action such as Re-sizing .
and once you have chosen and executed step a) . do NOT run step b) also that is "Setup External Storage"
I hope this minor clarification can avoid some confusion

Row document link to attachment or activity

Dear experts,
I made some modification on purchase order form.... put 1 udf coloum named 'other supplier quotation ' (vendor field) ..but i want to make another udf coloum that contain activity number that link (drill down) into it's activity that contain attachment.. so manager can see 2 quotation to compare it .

If u want drill down option from PO to activity then i guess you should try it through SDK.
Alternatively, using FMS you can only have Activity Number Attached to the field. If you want to check the Activity manually you have to open the Activity window and scroll to the Activity.

I generate activities by a program.
I need to maintain at these activities an account and different BPs.
I do this by the function crm_order_maintain. That works fine.
So far so good.
In addition I need to maintain an individual object by the program but it doesn´t work with the function crm_order maintain and I didn´t find any other function to apply an iobject to the activity.
Are you able to help me with this issue?.

Oracle Grid Infrastructure: Active/passive Clusters

Full blown RAC instances are still relatively rare. Maybe the high costs are one of the main reasons for this. Anyway, many SAP/Oracle installations don't really require a fault tolerant database. A simple automatic failover in an active/passive cluster would be sufficient.
In the book "Oracle Database 11g RAC on Linux" I found a very interessting comment on page 28:
A little known fact is that using Oracle Grid Infrastructure makes it very simple to set up a cost effective active/passive cluster. Leveraging the Grid Infrastructure API and Oracleu2019s Automatic Storage Management as a cluster logical volume manager makes it easy to constantly monitor a single instance Oracle database. In case of a node failure, the database will automatically be relocated to the standby node. Depending on the fast_start_mttr_target initialization parameter and the size of the recovery set, the failover to the standby node can be very quick; however, users will be disconnected from the database as part of the failover process.
Now I have two questions:
1. If I want to create a proof of concept, where do I start? I already had a look at the Oracle 11g documentation, but in the documentation "cluster" equals "RAC".
2. It is not sufficient to perform only a database failover. We need to handle the SAP system as well. Is it supported by SAP to put /usr/sap/SID and /sapmnt/SID into ASM 11.2 and present them e.g. as ASM cluster file systems?

we are both on one line. I would also prefer a simple active-passive cluster setup to a full blown RAC or even a RAC One Node. especially if the license fee for Clusterware is significantly lower than for RAC. However, Oracle staff makes it really clear that Oracle does not want customers to implement active-passive clusters based on Clusterware without RAC. They even say this active-passive cluster is no longer supported on 11.2. by Oracle! Of course it worked fine with 11.1 and there is no reason why it should be technically no longer possible with 11.2. WIth this adverse winds from Oracle blowing in our face, it doesn't make sense to implement such a active-passive cluster any more, however elegent it might have been technically.
So let's see what the alternatives are and when RAC One Node will be available (and at what price!).
