I just want to create several links which will be opened in a popup-window. Is there anybody with a good idea for it?

How to configure a link in a popup window to open a tab in main window.

I have put videos in popup windows with a link to their relevant main windows. I have used a behaviors extention from adobe to close the popup with the same link button, but the page doesn't open in the main window.

Middle-clicking work for links on web pages, but also for many menu entries that open a page in the current tab and some toolbar buttons like the Home page and location bar and search bar Go buttons.

Links to open popup windows

Hello everyone,
I have a page with 2iframes in the first one the links that open a new page in the next frame. BUT I have had complaints that the iframe makes it too slow to open.
I cannot tell wheter that is true or not, it could be something else that makes it slow but there is essentially not much else on that page.
So instead of having the pages open in an iframe I thought that I would pop a small window with the answer to the question. I can do that with one window but I seem unable to make the code work with several windows. I do not want to have a bunch of buttons I would rather have a liste of text links where each opens its own window in a specific location and specific size when clicked. Do I have to have a snippet for each link? and if so what would that do to load time?
I know this is a lot in one question and I appreciate your taking the time to read it and answer it if you can help.

My Page 104 looks like the other pages I did it in the same way: 
Page-Title: &P104_ID. 
It shows allways my data "AV8B" or "C-160" or "C130H" etc. 
My SQL-Statement looks as follows: 
select UNIT_NAME 
from AIR_UNIT@BLUE 
where AC_ID = :P104_ID 
I can not understand why I can see in my title "AV8B" and the result of any SQL-Statement is the same: no data found! 
If I replace in SQL :P104_ID with AV8B I get my result list. The obove statement was just a simple test script but doesn't work even if I use: 
select AIR_UNIT.UNIT_NAME 
from AIR_UNIT@BLUE 
where AIR_UNIT.AC_ID = :P104_ID 
or using instead of the unit_name ac_id doesn't work either! 
I've got really no idea!

Link to a popup window does not bring up records

I have a report with a couple column links. If I use javascript to make the link a popup to another page, then the items that I am passing to the page appear not to work.
If I do not make the page a popup, then the link works fine and brings up the correct records in the page I'm linking to.
Do I have to do anything special to pass items to a link that is a popup page?
Here is my link text that includes the javascript code:

To bring up the "correct" records, the other link must be setting the values of one or more items on the target page. There are 9 values in an Apex URL and you've used three up to the session. Spots 7 and 8 are used to pass values to items...

You need to see what values are being set with the regular link and then do the same with yours. Example:

How to print preview in a popup window?

There are couple of websites that I use frequently and they open links up into popup windows that I would like to print using print preview so I don't waste paper. Is there a way to do print preview from a popup window or can I open popup windows in a new tab?

Unfortunatly, my plugin aim to help debug javascript code. So, it's not my code which directly open popup, it's the code I'm watching. I cannot give argument to window.open.
Correct me if I did not understand something, but your second option consist in modifying the settings of the user browser. How could I do that from a plugin ?
Also, I realized that when I open a popup without the plugin tester(cfx run), i.e. in opening firefox the usual way, popup windows have the menubar with plugin buttons. O.o
Is anyone know why this difference ?

Can't get popup window to work, could use code help.

This is the first time I've tried to open a popup window in
flash, and I can't get it to work. The site I'm building has the
navigation buttons contained in an animated movie clip. All of the
navigation buttons work fine. But there's a link that the company
wants me to add that opens a window to another site who hosts a
video commercial for the company (it has to be a link to the other
site, it can't be added directly to the customers site).
The link the other company sent me is for javascript (I'll
include it in the attached code), and the code works great if I
just insert the javascript in the html. But I wanted to try and get
the link in the Flash menu. I've tried several versions of the
code, from applying it directly to the button to naming an instance
of it and attaching the actionscript in the movie clip. When I'm
done, I get two different problems. On my XP machine, I get a
warning error about the flash trying to open something to another
server. On my Vista machine, nothing happens at all.
Anyway, I'm including the original javascript and several
versions of the actionscript I've tried (with the actual site
information replaced with "fakeurl.com", wasn't sure how these
forums felt about including site info). Any help at all would be
greatly appreciated. I've searched and searched for about a week,
and I'm tempted to just do away with the Flash button and use a
cheesy javascript button for this one link.

I did a Portal application using JSF and RAD 6.0 in the Portal page I have two portlets side by side the portlet in the right side has a link to open a popup window when I click in that link and the popup window opens the portlet in the left side is showing in the popup window is there any way to tell the popup np to show the portlet on the left side. Here is how to open a TitleWindow and initialize some values
in the newly opened TitleWindow.

In the newly opened window you have to have a method
setParentRef that accepts a window as an argument. Store the parm
as a variable in the window.
There are other ways to do this .. this is just one of
them.

Problem in Popup Window in OAF

Hi,
We are populating a table results page in OAF based on the search items. In the Results table, we have a link(to a new page that has only one table region) on a column(itemstyle: link) so that it should open in a popup modal window. On closing the same, I should be able to conduct a new search.
But what happens here is, after closing the popup window, we are not able to conduct a new search on the same page; the Result table is populated based on the previous search values (that is the master page still holds the old search values and when Go button is clicked the results based on the previous values would be displayed). Even if I click ‘Go’ button, the process form request method is not being called. Also the firePartial actions such as making a field mandatory are not working. This happens only after opening the link & closing the popup window. If we do not click to open the pop up window, we are able to make n number of searches.

Need to have a popup window from a link in a cfgrid

I've got a cfgrid that is displaying some program
information. I want the program number to have a link to a pop-up
window which contains an edit form for that program.
Here is the script for the popup window I used on my page
before I implemented a cfgrid:

I tried making the program_name cfgridcolumn have an

I've done a grid that links to an edit form in another
section, the difference is that wasn't using a pop-up window. And I
can send my form to a new window using target=_blank, but I really
would rather use a pop-up window for this.

Report link to popup window

Hi All,
Using Portal, I've designed a report based on a table, this report includes links to another report (detailed information), my problem is that it opens the new report in a full new window (screen size), I need to open the new report inside a popup window of a pre-defined size. Any ideas ?
BTW : my initial report is displayed in a portlet.
At this moment, the only trick i have found is to target the link to a dynamic page including the detailed reports with a onload tag and a javascript openwindow, I didn't try at this moment and hope there is a more elegant way to do this !

You will be needing both PL/SQL and javascript.
You need a javascript function to do the window.open()
You will need some pl/sql code in the Additional pl/sql block (before showing the header) to generate the javascript function.
Use htp.p() to generate the javascript function.
The javascript function that you are going to generate, say callreport2(param1), will do a window.open("<url-of-2nd-report">);
If you are using reports based on sql queries, stop using the link component. Instead, you will have to generate the link in the query e.g. if I need to generate a link on the ename field and if the 2nd-report takes empno as the bind var, then my query wud be :-

Popup window without using a command button or command link in Adf10g

Hi,
I need to show a table in a popup window on clicking in a component in the jspx page. The component can't be a command button or a command link, so i can't use 'useWindow' or 'useDialog'. What can be done in such a case. I am using Jdev version 10.1.3.
I doubt if <af:dialog> or <af:popup> components are available in ADF10g.

There's a way, but frakly I would try to change the functional side instead of trying it. Anyhow, if you want to do it, you'll have to use a combination of autoSubmit/onclick along with DialogService.launchDialog (accessible through AdfFacesContext), but that's a very obscure part of the framework.

Linking PDFs to open popup windows

I am working on a project at work in which we have PDF graphics in-line within a web page. I want to add a link to one of the graphics to call a custom javascript function that is in the page to display a special popup window. First off, is this possible? And secondly, if it is, how do I tell it to call the javascript that is in the html page?
