• URGENT: pass parameters from report to report without usting a link or URL

HI.
I want to send an ID field from a report to a report (like master-detail) and that should be done by pressing the next or previous button. So, not with a LINK or URL link.
Is that possible? I used the wwsto_api_session package in several ways, but no luck so far.
Thanks,
Paul.

If your requirement is to provide buttons that take the users to another report, you have to do the following:
In your source report (report A), create a form containing a button. Use hidden fields for the parameters you have to pass to the target report (report B).
You'd need to base your report A on a SELECT statement. One of the columns in the SELECT statement can be a string where you actually construct the entire HTML form, something like:
SELECT ...., ' ... ' FROM ...Hope this helps.

• Link box do not have url parameters button

I start learn Dreamweaver with this lessons How to Build a Content Management System Using Dreamweaver - YouTube, but have a problem.
I do not have in the link box the parameters button for URL. Is it some extension?

If you are using Dreamweaver CC or CC2014 they dropped the default support for server behaviours/database connection that's probably why you have no 'parameter' button because it uses the built in behaviours.
It's now only available via an extension - see the thread below and read post number 1:
OT: Bindings panel, Databases, and Server behaviors in Dreamweaver CC
The real question is how is it that you have gotten that far in the tutorial if you have no server behaviours? Maybe you have installed the server behaviour extention for DW CC or CC2014 but the 'parameter' button was not restored.
You can always hand code that part of the tutorial by adding the code to the end of the file - Update.php?ID=<?php echo $row_Results['ID']; ?>

• Source of URL parameters when launching the hap_document

Hi,
I have been working on the 'Status Overview' iView in the Employee Performance Management module. The source of the table in the iView is the MSS_HAP_STATUS data view in OADP. I have been able to edit and shuffle the columns through the 'define columns' options in the OADP data provider. Some of the columns are shown as links since they are associated with Service Keys which map back to Resources in the homepage framework. The resource 'MSS_MBO_DOCUMENT' is associated with the some of the columns of the Status Overview page. When I click on the link it launches the HAP_Document BSP application with some dynamic URL parameters like
Application=HAP_DOCUMENT
PageId=document_portal.htm
DynamicParameter=NEW_APPRAISER_ID......
I have been trying to debug the proxy class CL_HRWPC_SER_MBO_PARAMS associated with the service MSS_MBO_DOCUMENT to look for the dynamic URL parameters but didnt find them all in there. I did find some of them but not in the form of the parameter string it generates in the URL.
Please let me know if I am looking in the right direction. Any help would be really appreciated.

• Help with URL Parameters and HTML DataSet please.

Hello everybody!
Looking at the example page: "Using URL Parameters to Control Data Regions", towards the bottom it gives an example of "Set by Product Name", from an XML DataSet using the following sample code:
//Data set for the second example. var ds2 = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("../../demos/products/products.xml", "products/product");    //If the URL parameter 'product' has a value, set the XPath that includes a filter and then load the data. if (params.product){    ds2.setXPath("products/product[name = '"+params.product+"']");    ds2.loadData(); }
Can anyone please explain how to amend this to work with a HTML Dataset rather than XML?
The first example on the page (Set by RowID) works unchanged for the HTML DataSet, but I don't know what I should replace the 'setXPath' line with.
I see this has been asked before, but I'm afraid I can't find any answer that works (or, more often, that I can understand properly!)
Grateful for any suggestions.
Len

Wow! Thanks Ben.
I hadn't thought about using Stacked Containers.
I'll test this out tonight and let you know how I get on.
Cheers,
Len
A few days later and at last I've been able to test your suggestions.
I think I must be doing something wrong as the links and content don't work at all:
http://www.myosanthe-bernhard-huber.com/html/stack1.php
I know that the stacked containers do work (http://www.myosanthe-bernhard-huber.com/html/stack0.php), so I guess there are some errors in the coding somewhere.
Would you mind reviewing, please?
The important thing for me (in this case, anyway) is to get the called page's content using its 'Ref', and I'm not sure what benefit there is in using stacked containers as opposed to master-detail containers.
The master-detail method works reasonably well for me at
http://www.myosanthe-bernhard-huber.com/html/fotoalbum.php and sub-pages.
Perhaps I am betraying my lack of knowledge, but as I said in my original post, I think that I just need the HTMLDataSet equivalent to:
//Data set for the second example.
var ds2 = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("../../demos/products/products.xml", "products/product");
//If the URL parameter 'product' has a value, set the XPath that includes a filter and then load the data.
if (params.product){
ds2.setXPath("products/product[name = '"+params.product+"']");
ds2.loadData();
which as you can see uses an XMLDataSet, but does exactly what I need.
(see http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/DataWithURLParams.html)
Thanks again for your help, Ben.

• Mapping Issue(UDF) in HTTP-RFC scenario with URL parameters - Urgent

Hi All,
I am working out an HTTP-RFC scenarion wherein there is no xml data to be pushed.
The data will be coming in the url parameters.
Also we'll exposing our url(created by SAP PI) to 3rd party system to push data in terms of url parameters.
So how do I do mapping? Also what UDF code will contain?
Since I'm working on this kind of scenario for the first time, I need every help from you guys.
Thanks & Regards,
Amit Patil

Hi All,
I have worked on RFC to HTTP scenario wherein URL have to be passed. I used UDF in d same.
But now the case is reverse, how shall I move ahead with what source message type(in the mapping) and how to do mapping.
What kind of UDF will be useful here?
I am completely blank in this kind of scenario where 3rd party system is going to pass four parameters on URL link craeted by us since its an HTTP to RFC scenario.
Please guys help me! Give me some inputs.

• Wrong results in URL iview and overview of URL parameters

I have created an URL iView that is supposed to query an index and return results. I am using the URL:
/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.service
and added following URL parameters:
StartPage=SearchPage
ConfigFileName=Navigation.xml
layoutSetMode=exclusive
ResourceListType=com.sapportals.wcm.SearchResultList
SearchType=quick
QueryString=marketing
SelectedSearchIndices=KnowledgeBase
The problem that I have is that the iView returns the second page of results (11-20) instead of the first one (1-10). When I hit the Search button again the result is the first page of results.
Does anyone have experience with this problem?
I've searched SDN on an overview of URL parameters (for example a parameter to specify the number of results to be shown on a page) to solve this problem, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have an overview on URL parameters?
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards, Hilco

Hi,
Please check if the iView properties are as per properties mentioned in this link.

• How to read URL parameters of one wdp component into other WDP component?

Dear Experts,
Can anyone let me know how to read URL parameters of one wdp component into other WDP component?
My requirement is i have one standard WDP component with 3 URL parameters and i needto
read that URL parameters along with their values in my Z-WDP component.
Thanks
SK

Hi Santosh,
You can read parameters send from one WebDynpro Component to another component by adding code in "HANDLEDEFAULT" Event Handler method ( Window )of your target Web Dynpro Component.
data: lt_parameter             type tihttpnvp,
ls_parameter             type ihttpnvp.
lo_api_controller ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
call method lo_api_controller->get_message_manager
receiving
message_manager = lo_message_manager.
clear : ls_parameter.
refresh : lt_parameter[].
* Read all URL parameters
wdevent->get_data( exporting name = if_wd_application=>all_url_parameters importing value = lt_parameter ).
if not lt_parameter[] is initial.
clear : ls_parameter.
read table lt_parameter into ls_parameter index 1.
if ls_parameter-name = 'ACTION' and
ls_parameter-value is initial.
lv_flag = 'X'.
clear : lo_msg.
lo_msg = 'Action Parameter Missing in URL Link !'.
*         report message
call method lo_message_manager->report_error_message
exporting
message_text = lo_msg.
else.
endif.

• How to config URL parameters dynamiclly in URL iView?

Hi all,
I have 2 iViews, iView1 is a WD application iView, iView2 is a URL iView with some URL parameters.
Firstly I navigate from IView1 to iView2 with some parameters, then I hope to pass these parameters to the URL parameters configued in iView2.
For example,
iView2 configuration:
URL: http://server1/app
URL parameter name: param
Navigate from IView1 to iView2:
WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES:"+iview, WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,(String) null, (String) null, WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.ALLOW_DUPLICATIONS,(String)null,(String) null, "value=123");
Then how can I pass the value 123 from iView1 to the parameter 'param' in iView2?
Best regards,
Bean

Hi Bean ,
The approach you are following is correct ,refer to these links , there you can find the concept of WDportalnavigation properly,Also check for the relative navigation.

• HTTP to RFC scenario with URL parameters

Hi All,
I am working on HTTP to RFC scenario using an interface in SAP PI.
The data will be pushed from API link via 4 URL parameters viz. UID, mobno, phone1, phone2.
My query is what will be the UDF code for the same.
Also how to design & configure the same scenario in SAP PI, since I'm working on this scenario for the first time.
on SAP end, what will be more comfortable to have RFC or Proxy?
Thanks & Regards,
Amit S Patil

Hi All,
In case of RFC to HTTP scenario wherein we have to pass URL parameters as the request instead of XML/xsd(at the receiver end), there is no need of .xsd file to be imported in SAP PI as target end in request message mapping.
Similarly in reverse case(HTTP to RFC scenario), if some data will be pushed from external system through URL parameters instead of XML/xsd(at the sender end), how the design & configuration is done in SAP PI?
Is this reverse scenario possible without any XML/xsd scema at the sender end?
Please suggest me at the earliest?
Thanks & Regards,
Amit S Patil

• Live view doesn't correctly pass URL parameters from HTML docs?

Running into something that I wonder if anyone else has seen. I've created a site in DW CS5 with a local testing server (XAMPP on Win7), and if I use LiveView to view an HTML page that has a link to a PHP page that includes a URL parameter, the parameter shows up in the LiveView address bar, but the page doesn't seem to use it (trying to display an image where the file is built using $_GET to retrieve the parameter). The same HTML page, displayed in a browser, works. And if I then save the HTML page as a PHP page in DW, identical code, LiveView works. Sure looks like LiveView will does not properly handle URL parameters from HTML documents...

Sorry if I wasn't clear... the navigation works correctly; I get to the page I'm tyring to get to. One of the things that page should do is display an image, the I use a URL parameter to build the image file name to retrieve. The link in the first page is something like . Works fine if the first page (the one I'm navigating from) is a PHP page, doesn't work (with the same code which is only HTML) if the page is an HTML page.

please help me, thank you very much.

Jack,
You need not do hit and trial on various version of jdev. Jdev version should be as per your instance patchset version. Go through document no.416708.1 on metalink to know you need to download which version of jdev, as per ur instance patch set level.

• Hide url Parameters

Hi Team,
Is it possible to hide the url parameters, when the gateway service is executed through UI5. For example from the below url is it possible to hide the parameter agencynum in the browser while it is passed to UI5.
/sap/opu/odata/IWFND/RMTSAMPLEFLIGHT/TravelagencyCollection(agencynum='00001756') .

Hi,
as mentioned in earlier response, end user is able to see your entire code as well as how the HTTP calls are being made to server in browser developer console tools (valid for almost all browsers having ability to open the console)
yes the other option could be encryption of the code but it has its own disadvantages. you can google on it. here is one good discussion javascript - Disable developer tools - Stack Overflow follow entire discussion to know more on pros and cons.
There is one concept javascript obfuscator. try http://javascriptobfuscator.com/
Here is example of JS code with obfuscator - JS Bin - Collaborative JavaScript Debugging</title> <link rel="icon" href="http://static.jsbin.…
and original example as JS Bin - Collaborative JavaScript Debugging</title> <link rel="icon" href="http://static.jsbin.…
I hope this will give some idea on encoding. but again it has its own disadvantages and need to use properly.

• Any tutorial about url parameters

hi
i search for any tutorial about url parameters and how to use
it in one page to call every thing just change the url parameter
and every thing on the page changed like the visibility of
something ,,,,,
thanks in advance.

There are two parts to a URL parameter -
1. Sending it
2. Receiving it
To send it, do this -
<a href="whatever.php?your_parameter=<?php echo
$whatever; ?>">This link
will send the parameter to 'whatever.php'
To receive it, do this -
<?php
$yourVariable =
isset($_GET['your_parameter'])?$_GET['your_parameter']:'';
?>
That parameter's value is now stored in $yourVariable. The
isset part tests
to see if the parameter has been specified at all, and if it
has not, it
sets $yourVariable to '', while if it has, it sets
$yourVariable to the
value of the parameter. It is functionally equivalent to -
<? php
if (isset($_GET['your_parameter'])) {
$yourVariable = $_GET['your_parameter'];
} else {
$yourVariable = '';
