Link to web site in DVD Rom section - need icon aasociation

I have an internet shortcut in my DVDRom section of a DVD. I also have an .ico file there I want the " weblink" to associate with. The link works fine but I can't associate the icon with it.
I know how to do this normally, just go to properties and "change icon" then browse to the icon you want and select it.
But the way you chose the pre-defined directory in Encore for your Rom items only allows you to chose one directory and already have all your files in it.
That's great but once the link and the icon file are on the DVD they lose their association and the icon doesn't appear by the link.
Is there a proper syntax to use in "properties" to tell the web shortcut that it's icon link is in the same directory the link is in? Since there is only one icon file in there if it just looked for an icon file it would find it.
I imagine this is the kind of code I see often with zeros and percentage signs and 20 in them but I don't know what language that is or how to make a statement with it to look for the .ico file in the same directory the web shortcut is in.
I hope someone can tell me.
Also, I don't know if it's a bug or just my Encore 2.0 but on the "disk" page where you select your DVDRom contents, if you've browsed to the file selected it and then decide you don't want it, it seems you would highlight the chosen address and then hit the "clear" button right next to the "browse" button. I've tried that but nothing happens. It's like the "clear" button just doesn't work.
Any one else had that problem or am I just not doing it right?

A PDF is not a web page. You can't link to a PDF and expect it to display as HTML.
You could:
* Start from a Word document. The DynamicConverter component creates the HTML for a webpage and the InBoundRefinery component creates a PDF for download.
* Create a webpage content item that describes the PDF, use that as your secondary page.
* Change the link on the primary page so that instead of opening the PDF, it opens the content info page (only in contribution mode.)

the code you posted is not causing the error message.
and your statement "..put an action to the hit icon..." sounds like a problem.
no other code is needed other than what you posted. remove any other code and retest.

DVD with program in the DVD-Rom section

I'm wondering if there are any issues or if anyone knows any better ways to basically have a DVD that both plays video on computers and set tops and also can have an interactive Flash program in the DVD-Rom section of the disc. I know how I would set it up and would have a non-executable program). I believe this would be a hybrid disc, correct? Are there any programs that might do it better than DVDSP? I know Encore has a Flash component, but don't know if that program would be better.
Anyone's experience would be helpful

You can put anything you want in the DVD-ROM. Flash, PDFs, whole applications, etc. The thing is that you cannot reliably access any of that from the DVD-Video. You need to tell people that there is additional content on the disc and that they need to get it themselves.

Photos stored in DVD-ROM section of DVD Slideshow

I have created a DVD Slideshow using 50 pictures from iphoto and I checked "Add image files to DVD-ROM" box. I have done this several years ago but am totally baffled as to to link these images to a button which will allow access to them from the finished DVD. HELP!

You can do this w/in DVDSP.
Did you already check out the iDVD Help Menu Procedure?
To create a slideshow in iDVD:
1. Click Media to open the Media pane, then click Photos to display your iPhoto albums.
2. Drag an album to the DVD menu. A button is created that links to the images. The button has the name of your iPhoto album and automatically displays the first slide in the slideshow.
3. If you want to change the button label, select the button and type a new name.
4. Double-click the button to open the slideshow editor.
5. The slideshow editor shows thumbnails of the photos in the slideshow. Drag the slider to change the size of the thumbnails, so you can see more slides at once, or fewer slides with more detail.
6. Add, arrange, or delete slides from the slideshow to create the sequence you want.
• To add other images, drag files or folders from the Finder to the slideshow editor.
• To reorder the images, select the slides you want to move and drag them to a different position.
• To delete an image, select it and choose Edit > Delete.
7. Click Settings and select the settings you want for the slideshow:
• "Loop slideshow" makes the slideshow repeat continuously until the viewer moves to a different part of the DVD.
• "Display navigation arrows" shows navigation arrows on the screen to indicate where the viewer is in the slideshow.
• "Add image files to DVD-ROM" adds copies of the slideshow images to the DVD disc so viewers can download them to their computers.
• "Show titles and comments" lets you add titles and comments to your slideshow images that are visible in the slideshow.
8. Click the Transition pop-up menu and choose a transition to smoothly move from one image to the next.
9. Click the Slide Duration pop-up menu and choose the length of time you want each slide to stay on the screen. Be sure to allow enough time for the transition you selected.
10. To let the viewer advance through the slideshow manually using a remote control, choose Manual.
11. Note: If you're adding a soundtrack, you don't need to set the slide duration.
12. To add a soundtrack, click Media to open the Media pane, then click Audio to find a song in your iTunes library or GarageBand that would make a nice background for the slideshow.
13. Drag the song or audio track from the Media pane, or from another location on your hard disk, and drop it in the audio well in the slideshow editor.
14. iDVD automatically adjusts the overall duration of the slides to match the length of the audio clip. The slide duration is changed to "Fit to Audio." You can change the duration if you want.
15. Drag the "Slideshow volume" slider to set the volume. You can check the volume when you preview the slideshow.
Note: When you add RAW images from iPhoto, the RAW files will appear in the slideshow as JPEG images. The RAW files are placed in the DVD-ROM portion of the disc if you choose that option.

Can not send link to web site with firefox 3.6.8

When I go to a web site and want to send a link to an email correspondent I go to File>send link and click it. Nothing happens, no new email window with the link. Nada. My email client is TBird 3.0.6

Your Firewall does not recognize the new version of Firefox and is blocking it from connecting. Clear all instances of Firefox from your Firewall programs list. Let your Firewall re-detect the new version of Firefox and give Firefox the necessary permissions in your Firewall. See:

Hi, My employer has a web site & as a part of the service to the employees, the employees can access personal details through the web site. I can access my employers web site not a problem, BUT - when i try to access the employees part of the web site it tells me "This browser is not supported.

It is possible that the server gets confused by the user agent that is modified by your Ubuntu distribution and adds Ubuntu/10.10 (maverick)

First : should I be doing another post because I have really changed topics...not sure of the protocol.
Ok I tried to use this "job aid" ...but I got shot down almost immediately....the first step is to enter your url (ok) and then to decide what category it should be placed under....every category I selected didn't have a description button so I couldn't actually get it into a category. Does that matter...should I just find something to put it under and then proceed?
What I did was go to Google and I submitted my
url to google. Does that work but doesn't have any optimization? If you google Robert Delaney (and I think that is what most people who don't know the URL will do) over 2 million hits possibilities come back...and he won't be found. This is my brothers web site and i want people to find him by lots of key words like kinetic sculptures, his name, metal sculptures, mobiles....a whole raft of things...I suspect just submitting it won't help that.
I would appreciate any thoughts on what s/b my next step...

Email the webmaster of the sites, tell him or her to get into the 21st century and stop using Flash.

My requirement is to add a new button to Trade promotion component and on clicking the button, a webpage has to be opened in a separate window keeping the trade event screen open.
Can anyone please provide the steps of how to link a button to website in CRM2007.

What you have to do is to enhance the method IF_BSP_WD_TOOLBAR_CALLBACK~GET_BUTTONS of the view controller class of the overview page of the trade promotions (section "Toolbar related methods" in the view tree in the component workbench).
In order to do this, use the enhancement concept to keep modification free.
In the method implementation of the inherited class, first call the super method to get all the SAP buttons.
Then insert a line into the return table at the position you want to see the additional button.
Give it ID, Text, Icon, etc.
To make the browser open a new browser window with an URL on the client side, use the ON_CLIENT_CLICK field of the structure. Enter something like...
window.open('"your_url_goes_here"')
or similar javascript.

How do I link my web site to a new computer/iweb versin ?

I have owned multiple computers since putting up my website via iWeb. The original computer is now gone. Non of my current computers host the website any longer. The files are completely on the idisk server thus, I can't edit the site.
How do I get my computer or computers to have access to the "Site" folder in my idisk so iWeb '09 can regain the ability to design/alter the pages there ?

There is no way to alter your pages using iWeb unless you have copy of the Domain file that was used to create them somewhere. Keeping backups of that file, located in Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb is essential. If you don't have one, you will have to recreate the site.

Mavericks very slow to link to web sites

I My MacBook Pro is very slow to load websites but this is not the case on my iPad and iPhone.. I am running OS X 10.9.4.
i Saw answers to this problem in earlier forums but the latest was July 2013 and are now out of date as the suggestions given for resetting Safari are different and do not exist .
any help would be welcome.

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them. In that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Have you restarted your router and your broadband device (if they're separate) since you first noticed the problem? If not, do that now and see whether there's any change.
If your browser is Safari, then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Any change?
If you're running OS X 10.9 or later, select the Advanced tab in the Preferences window and uncheck the box marked
Stop plug-ins to save power
Any change?
Quit and relaunch the browser. Any change?
Log out and log back in. Any change?
Enable Private Browsing in the Safari menu. Any change?
Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same? What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
If other browsers and Internet applications are also affected, follow these instructions and test. Any change?
