Linkage error - can't load a class

Hi,
I would like you to give advice.
I made a movieclip symbol(journal) which calls the Journal
class in a Flash Project File.
I wrote like this on the Linkage Properties window:
Identifier: journal
AS 2.0 class: _journal.Journal
and checked two options(Export for AS and Export in first
frame)
I think the class route is correct. But when I test the
project, it occurs an error ("Symbol = journal, layer = binding,
frame = 1:Line 1: The class or interface '_journal.Journal' could
not be loaded.")
I appreciate if you explain why it happens to me and what the
'binding' of a layer means.

Thank you, clbeech.
I use the Project panel of Flash and put the Journal Class in
it. Everything seemed to be perfect before I checked the real
location of the Journal file. I discovered that I was confused the
directories in the Project panel of Flash with the real directories
on Windows. Both are different. Allocating a flash file in the
folder of the Project panel doesn't mean that that file is located
in the real Windows folder. Actually I have several versions of the
project I'm doing so I was confused.
Thanks again, clbeech.
Have a good day.

    Hi,
When you make the jar to import to XI you must verify the two classes are generated at the same time. Later you can verify in Inteface Mapping that you are using the myEcho class to do the java mapping.
Plesae verify the java version are the same in you own machine and the xi machine.
    Regards.

  • Linkage error occurred when loading class MyClass

    Hi
I have written one simple class name MyClass and i have created jar file and i imported into import archive... but in interface mapping while i am testing i am getting the <b>"<b>Linkage error occurred when loading class MyClass"</b></b> error.... why i am getting this error
    Thanks & Regards
    Ravi Shankar B

    Here it goes:
    Symptom
The LINKAGE_ERROR error occurs during the mapping.
The trace contains "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Illegal name":
    Other terms
    XI 30, Mapping, Linkage Error
    Reason and Prerequisites
As of the jdk 1.4.2_05 from Sun, this program error occurs during the mapping in the runtime or during testing in the Repository. This error may also occur in conjunction with jdks of other vendors or other versions.
    Solution
The error is corrected with Support Package 5 for Support Package 03 for the XI TOOLS 3.0 software component.
Import the corresponding archive SAPXITOOL03P_5.SCA for SAP Exchange Infrastructure XI 3.0 as described in the Netweaver 04 Support Package Stac Guide.
You will find the archive and the guide in the SAP Service Marketplace under the alias "SP stacks -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NetWeaver 04".

  • TS1717 I get the error "unable to load data class info from sync services" and eventually itunes freezes-will anything in this article help?

I get the error "unable to load data class info from sync services" and eventully itunes freezes.  will this article help me?

    Hello there brigidfromca.
Messages can always be pretty daunting when we're not sure where to start. I was able to locate the following Knowledge Base article that discusses the very message you're getting:
iTunes for Windows: "Unable to load data class" or "Unable to load provider data" sync services alert
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2690
It is a pretty thorough document with multiple steps to review, but looks to be great place to start for a resolution for you.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to reach out to us for answers.
    Cheers,

  • Error: Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from HelloWorld.jar

    Hi,
I got a file call HelloWorld.java and a file call mainClass which contain one line ==>
    Main-Class: HelloWorld
    Then I run the command:
    jar cmf mainClass HelloWorld.jar HelloWorld.class
java -jar HelloWorld.jarAnd I got the following error:
    =======================================
Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from
    HelloWorld.jar
    =======================================
Why is that? I follow the instruction from the sun website, but still not working... can anybody help??
    Thanks

For whatever reason the last line of the Manifest file is always ignored. So if your Main-Class is the first AND last line it is being ignored. Solution, make sure you have at least one or more blank lines after the Main-Class line.

  • Can i load a class in subdirectoy  inside a jar file using applet tag?

hi every one.. thank you for reading ... i am really in dire need for the solution..
my problem is that i have a jar file contianing a package which inturn contains my applet class...
i am trying to access this applet class using a applet tag in html file. this html file is in same directory as the jar file. i am having no problems in windows but when i am doing this in linux apache server i was getting class not found exception. (already checked the file permissions). and when i am successful when using simple package directory instead of jar file . so gist of my quesition is "can i load a class in subdirectoy inside a jar file using applet tag in a html file"?

When you tested in Windows were you using Internet Explorer? On Linux you will be using a different browser, usually Mozilla of some version, or Firefox. Note that the HTML tags for applets will be different between the browsers if you are using the object tag. Principally the classid value for the object tag will differ between Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Can anyone help me out in this as this is very very very imp.
    regards

    Hi,
As per your actions above I believe you have already found SAP Note 435363.
Basically for a struts application there are no special requirements other than
    1. Make a reference to the inqmyxmltoolkit from the application that is going to use struts before the deployment
    2. Put the struts library into WEB-INF/lib of the application (struts can't be shared among applications)
    3. Deploy the application
For making the reference you can:
    1. Telnet to the Engine (if you run it as a service and do not have access to its shell directly)
If telnet port on the Engine dispatcher is 2323
    telnet localhost 2323
    2. Jump to the server node
for example if the application node's cluster id is 4001
    jump 4001
    3. Execute the commands
    add deploy
    changeref -m  MyApplication library:inqmyxml
So if it does not work, then I see two reasons possible:
    1. You are using a really old version of the 6.20 Engine - check if you are on PL41.
    2. You have misspelled the name of your application in the reference. The names are case sensitive so you need to be careful. MyApplication is not the same as myApplication or myapplication.

  • Screensaver error: "Can't load bundle"

    Hi,
I downloaded a screen saver (from a trustworthy source) in a .sit file, unzipped it to a .saver file, and when I try to load it I get the following error message:
"Screen saver “ico screensaver” did not load properly. Please select another screen saver.
    Error: Can’t load bundle"
I am running on an iMac with Leopard 10.5.6 ...
    Any suggestions?

Contact the author of the screen saver. Sounds like it's damaged. Of course, if the screen saver came packaged in a .sit file, I would seriously re-consider using the screen saver. Using a .sit file was once the standard, but not for a long time. Any developer these days who puts files in a .sit file for distribution is demonstrating that he/she knows squat about the Mac, and thus calling into question his/her ability to write software for the Mac.
(I'm not just saying that to be mean... it's likely that putting it in a .sit file damaged the file.)

    Hi guys
I'm stuck on this problem for so long, it would be great if some one can help me out. I use jni to build a interface to access an native library and I have successfully get in running on my development environment, but when at deployment to another box, I get the following message.

I have checked the configuration of LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to the dir of the libXXX.so file. Is this error caused by dynamic link library missing something when it is moved to the deployment environment ? or is it because I'm not building it properly ? or the os version version ?? Thanks a lot guys.
the libXXX.so is build using the following line:

  • Can't load JavaMail classes

    Hi,
I'm new to Aurora and having trouble getting a set of source files (javamail 1.1.3) to load into jserver properly.
I'm not sure if i should load the mail.jar into Oracle using loadjava first, or simply set the classpath to point to mail.jar?
    I tried it both ways
When I try to load the mail.jar file using loadjava the javax package fails to load because of a 'privilege error' yet the com packages load ok.
When I try to load my own class with the mail.jar file in the classpath on a client, it can't find several of the classes needed in the mail.jar archive....
Does the classpath need to be set on the server for mail.jar, or can i load them using loadljava. Not sure what to do...
    Thanks,
    Bill Wheeler

    Ken,
I tried extracting and re-jarring the javamail source files without compression.
Here is what i get when trying to load them using loadjava as 'system':
identical: com/sun/mail/handlers/text_html is unchanged from previously loaded file
identical: com/sun/mail/handlers/multipart_mixed is unchanged from previously loaded file
identical: com/sun/mail/smtp/SMTPOutputStream is unchanged from previously loaded file

Can somebody tell me, what is going on

Gseel is right: you try to instantiate an EJB with the BDK.
Enterprise Java Beans are totally different from graphical/GUI beans. EJBs are thought for dealing with business logic like accessing a database, ldap directory and so on. They run on a application server (simply speaking - a java enabled webserver) and do some processing to handle user requests. Enterprise Java Beans usually don't interact directly with the user, they only do the work in the background and forward their results, which are then rendered for the user. Typically they are employed for handling web requests (a user with a browser), but they can also be used for awt/swing applications. Though - let me repeat - they don't appear visually on the screen.
The only similarities between those two bean types are the following: they have getter/setter methods for their properties, they implement Serializeable (or a sub-interface like Externalizable, Remote) and they have a default no-argument constructor.
If you want to run your been you need an application server (your bean is pre-packaged for the Bea Weblogic app-server). If you want to do something graphical, you'll need to search for GUI beans.
