Linked Button object question

Hey Everyone,
I have created some code to replicate the choose item functionality for master item data. I take the itemcode selected and put this in a text box.
How do I use the Linked BUtton object to allow the user to click the yellow arrow and view this object? Do I have to code the click event, etc.. on my own? Or is there built in SDK functions to make this work?
Any help would be appreciated.

As i know 'ChooseFromList'-service will be exposed in v2005.

There is also no any standard method to relate LinkButton and your 'ChooseFromList'-implementation.
All you need is to handle LinkButton-click and then execute your code for 'ChooseList'.
The code-scheme in ItemEvent-handler can be like that:
if (event = ItemPressed && item = LinkedButton)
myChList = new ChList();
oEditText.Value = myChList.SelectItem()

You need to create a new link button object, set the "linkto" property to point to the UID of the edittext containing the data, and set linkedobject to point to the target object (eg. business partners, items ...)
Set sboItem = sboItems.Add("LINK", it_LINKED_BUTTON)

Button Link to Object Standard.

Dear All.,
Now I have a problem with button link to object stanbard (17 is Sale order object).
I have to use button link and Editbox on the new form, then I set button link to this editbox and set LinkedObject=17 in screen painter. I have run this form i select Sale Order document Number on this Editbox and i click button link to sale order that show data following my selected.. but it can't not open sale order and alert message "You are not permitted to perform this action [Message 200-30]".. so how can i set permitted to perform this action. pls help me...

Link button to User Defined Object in Grid

Hi,
I'm using SAP B1 8.81 with B1DE.
I have added a grid which is populated from a DataTable to a form.
One of the columns in the grid contains the DocEntry of a User Defined Object.
How can I display a link button on the grid ?

You need to set the column object type.

You then need to catch the et_MATRIX_LINK_PRESSED event and other your user form...

Link Button to open an UDO Object Form

I was trying to open my udo form using a link button in a data grid. But i just cannot link the object.It is working fine with system forms.But i just want to know how to link an UDO Object.

you just catch the row you clicked and get the data with your linkbutton which you have clicked then activate your UDF (by activating menu event) and then perform the find action according to the data.......

Linked Smart Objects - File Size Question

Hey guys,
first time using linked smart objects and I was pretty excited about it at first. I have a large photoshop file with 1920x1080 image assets. The file size is about 1GB and everytime I make a minor change the entire file has to be re-uploaded to my Dropbox.
So I figured that I could make all these image assets linked smart objects so that I can keep the master file down in file size since most of the actual assets don't change. However, even the PSD that contains nothing by linked smart layer objects is already 400MB large. And that's in addition to the external PSD's it is now linking to.
Even if I duplicate a linked smart layer object in this PSD file it increased the file size by an additional 10MB per duplicate. Is this supposed to happen? Why does it take so much space to just link to external objects? I was super excited about using linked smart layer objects but this doesn't look like it would be helping much to decrease file size.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Hey Chris,
thanks again! I guess I just had different expectations. In my mind I was going to see a parent file around 10MB or something with all of the content being dynamically loaded from the linked smart objects.
Maybe that could be a feature requests for future versions.

If you have an UDO in your form, or any other, the FormDataLoad eventhandler should be used.
Take care, it is not inside the eventhandler.
for VB:
Select SBO_APPLICATION in the classes, and select FormDataLoad event

How do I remove download links/button redirect to accurate download

When I go to some sites that have a download link underscored in blue or a button next to text or any other part of the page, I was able to click and download the file. When you point at the link or button you would see the path it will take to download the file. It would have the website name your visiting plus other codes.
But on returning to these sites, when I choose what I want to download, the link or button wants to go to accuratedownload.com. It presents the name of the item I want and with a .EXE extension. My main browser is Firefox version 26.0 on my XP PC. I test Internet Explorer and it produces the same results. Something has changed. I go to the site on my mobile phone, I am able to download the file from the same site and the links/buttons are not embedded with codes to go to accuratedownload.com. I do not know what to call this problem since I had no luck in finding solutions to redirection being embedded in a link or button on a web page that worked fine.
I've tried a reset Firefox, my profile, running Symantec Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, Clearing history and so on. The problem still occurs. Need Help.
Note: It would be nice if when the Download Screen pops-up, that we could rename the download file to a name we want (Saves time). Even if you rename the file, the history should record where it came from with the original name if it needs to be downloaded again.

To let you know, When I did a reset and restarted Fire Fox without the Add on's. I tested each user account on my PC. Each user account that used Fire Fox or Windows Explorer showed the same symtoms.
Back to troubleshooting, I've completed a scan using Sothos Free Virus Removal Tool. After a lengthy scan of every drive, partition, USB Thumb Drive and so on that it found, in about 5.5 hours it found Mal/FakeAvCn-C, Mal/JavDlEx-A and CXmal/BadLnk-A and continued by clicking the Clean Up button and that took about 15 minutes for some reason. Then it asked to send the log to Sophos. I clicked send and it failed to get to them.
I tried going on the internet to test the cleanup by clicking on some links and buttons. I could not get on the internet. I found that the NIC card was not working. Don't know why now but probably was affected by the scan. I found myself troubleshooting and reinstalling NIC drivers several times before the NIC card started to run correctly.
I read you post and tried to change the proxy settings in Fire Fox to "No Proxy." The scan, clean up and proxy settings change did not remove the embedded paths in links or buttons that allow you to download or be sent to the intended location. It still had paths to accuratedownload.com and eachdownload.com.
Question: By default is the proxy setting suppose to be "Use system proxy settings"? Should I put this back to this setting.
Windows Explorer has the same problem. Is Fire Fox a stand alone product or does it build parts of itself using Windows Explorer?

Link button does not link to the right record.

I have created a matrix, and I have made one of the column type as link button. The matrix is loaded with Sales Quotation record, and the DocNo column is a link button. For example, when i pressed the link button of record with DocNo = 10, but the Sales Quotation form pop out is record with DocNo = 8, anyone encountered this problem??? anyone have any solutions on this???
I have tried this with other marketing document object, such as Sales Order and Invoice, the same problem occured... huh, one more thing, if i did not set the document numbering series, the code is working fine, once i set the document numbering series, then this problem will happen ... hope to hear from you guys ...thanks in advanced!!!

I suppose the reason of this behavior is that the link button relates using the DocEntry value, and not the DocNum fields value.
What we usually do is to have 2 columns, on the first the DocEntry, and in the second one the DocNum. Then we set the DocEntry Column´s width to 20, and then only the orange arrow is shown.
This way, you get the behavior and appearance you need.

I am new to ADF, i am facing 1 issue while implementing ADF mobile browser application.
Issue: command link / button action is not taking place if i use it in iterator. its just refreshing the page it self and displaying as no records.
Scenario is i am populating the search results in results page from search page using iterator, i want to get the complete details in different page (results page -> details page) .

The actual issue is when i use command link/button in an table/iterator whose parent tag is another iterator then the action is not taking place.
the structer of my code is

#command link action1 is working but "#command link action2" is not...

Show local documents using link button

I have few link buttons in my app to show the reports that
were stored locally on the server. For example: The reports were
stored at “C:\report\”. When I specify the local path
to the link button and execute the app, I am getting an error
saying that “Flex will not display the documents stored
locally”. Please let me know the solution.

Either use Adobe AIR, which allows local access, or else have
the reports on server and store names or relative paths to those
reports locally, using the shared object feature.

now i'm getting linkbutton but it is not performing any function,though i gave the code for that link button and related screen id like 2 for business partner or like bplist
and one more problem i was facing with grid is
i created a grid in my user screen and i want to get the form settings for that grid(if i click (tools--->form settings).then it display form settings screen for perticular userscreen.
is it possible to get form settings for a screen having grid

             Iam creating reports for my module. For that iam using grid to display the fields. Now my issue is i want to place the link button(Orange arrow) for specific fields.
For Example,
For Supplier Code iam placing the following code so that i can able to get view the link button and if i click i can able to open the Business Partner.

Motion Tracking: How to link a object which is not the tracked one?

Hello,
I have a video, its a landscape and the camera is moving from left to right. I want a flare appearing on the right side. There is one point which is always in the picture, I used this point to track the motion.
But the problem is, when I want to link optical flares with the tracking point, the flare is always ON the tracking point, but I want it a little bit more on the right side...
How is it possible to link a Object which is not exactly on the tracking point?

Usually you would apply the tracking info to a null and then use an expression to tie the position property of whatever you are trying to attach to the null with a simple expression. If you need update the position then you can either add value + to the front of the pickwhip generated expression or, and sometimes this is best, add a second null, parent null 2 to null 1 and then use the a layer space transformation expression on the position property of your effect. The expression looks like this:
p = thisComp.layer("Null 2");
p.toComp([0,0,0]);
