Linking a select field with a text field in a DW form.....

I did try to search for this but nothing came to my attention. Apologies if it is already in the forum.
Is it possible to have a "select field" link with a "text field"? In other words The select field will provide different venues to choose from, in this case "Blog, Trade Show, Friend, Photo Magazine" and then after the choice is made a text field appears that allows you to provide details re. your choice. For example if you choose "Trade Show" from the select field the text field will then appear and prompt you to detail WHICH Trade Show. Something along those lines. Any assistance will, as always, be appreciated.

Making selective fields editable in adobe form [using web dynpro]

I have displayed an adobe form using web dynpro application. But I have to make certain fields (not all fields) on this adobe form editable. I dont want to make this adobe form interactive because I dont have to save any data in database. The data entered in the editable fields will be saved as a pdf.
What I did so far:
1) The fields which I want as editable, I have given there type as "User entered/ optional" & for rest of the fields I have given type as "Read only".
2) In web dynpro, I have enabled the adobe
3) This is not making the fields editable.
4) If I write the following code in my webdynpro method WDDOMODIFYVIEW, then my data coming from adobe is not getting displayed even though the fields get selectively editable.

So I kept this code & I also kept the Interface type "ABAP Dictionary based".
Additionally in Webdynpro, I used adobe form generated FM to get the adobe content & passed it to the "content" parameter of my adobe component in webdynpro.

How to link a check box with a text field

Hello, I'm looking for some help with my PDF form. If a check box is checked then I would like to force the user to input a value a related text field. First, is this possible and if so can anyone give me some guidance on how to achinve this. I'm currently using LiveCycle 8.0..

Go to the check box's properties and in the Options tab choose "Cross" as the check box style.

Selecting fields PLD from another form

I want to print invoices which are in four format like sometimes i am using GRN no which is not in invoice form of SAP -B1 if i want to select fileds in PLD from another form Lets say right now if i have open A/P invoice and some fields is in another for Lets Say Item master data so can i select that feld in PLD

Associating a process with a 'select list with submit'

Hi,
In a tabular form I have 2 'select list with submit'. If a row is selected in the tabular form I need the following functionality from each of the select lists:
Once a value is selected from the list a process will get excuted which will update a column of the checked row in the database table with the selected value from the list.
My question is,
1. How can I associate an 'after submit process' with the 'select list with submit'?
2. Can I store the selected value in a variable which I can pass as an input parameter to a PL/SQL body?

Need to implement auto suggest with multiple select in a input text field

My requirement is to create an input field where i can provide auto suggest and user can enter multiple email ids. It is similar to current "To" field while composing a mail in Gmail.

For the first entry it works fine. when i enter 2nd value(i have used ',' (comma) as separator and handled it in 'suggestItems' bean method to take sub-string after comma for providing the suggestion) , after selection.... the first value get lost. Hi,
doesn't work this way as the suggest list returns a single value. You can actually use the existing values as a prefix to the new value in which case the suggest list would look a bit odd. Beside of this all you can do is to create a user lookup field with auto suggest and once a name is selected, update another field with the value returned from this action

Trying to create a template with adjustable text fields.

I need to creat a form or template with adjustable text and image fields. I need to have a background template for multiple pages that when I make a change to the template it make the changes to all pages, like the master page of indesign. I also need to have text and image fields that are specific to each page but the dimensions and placement are controled by the template,but the information inside is page spacific. What program should I use and anyone know a tutorial for help?

What you want would require elaborate programming or dealing with variables in Framemaker or InDesign (Server) to dynamically generate the output upon request. You can of course get part of the features using normal variables in ID e.g. to pull linked images based on some parameters, but generally your request sounds too complex to deal with all scenarios.

Problem with append += text in Text Field

Hi guys
i have a problem with append text.
I have one array which contain some city names, like CityArea=["NAME 1", "NAME2" ...etc];
Then i have one String and one Text Field.
Using for loop im getting right results. But when im running script again then im getting same text again.
F.ex.
First time:
City name: Name 1
City name: Name 2
Second time:
City name: Name 1
City name: Name 2
City name: Name 1
City name: Name 2
I have tried to make TextField to and String to Null and delete it, but it's appearing again.. :/
How to avoid this?

I think i found why.
There was no problem with TextField.
There was a problem with Array. "CityArea"
So each time I executed script it added new string in Array. And that is because i got like:

City 1
City 2
Running this script is Ok:

Select list with redirect - clearing field issue

I'created an APEX page where there is 2 items. A Select list with redirect and a Text Field. Both have "Only when current value in session state is null" for "Source used". If some data has been written into the Text Field and I'm selecting someting from the Select List with redirect, the value of the Text Field is cleared.
The page has no Computations, Validations, Processes or Branches.
As you may guess, I want the the Text Field NOT be cleared.
I know, that subject has been discussed over and over, but I'm all reading about it told me that "Source used" set to "Only when..." for the Text Field, it's suppose tol keep it's value.
Could please someone explain me what I've not understood.

Thanks for helping me. In fact, my real problem is about a page where two select lists are needed. The first one shows CATEGORIES and the second one shows SUB-CATEGORIES, based on the value selected at the first select list. Since there is other fields on the page and the data has not been saved yet (other fields afterwards and validations anyway), data entered has to be kept until the user click "Save" button and all the validations are ok. I was expecting to solve the issue by using "Select list with redirect" for CATEGORIES (this is the only way I was able to make SUB-CATEGORIES works) and having all my fields "Source used" set to "Only when...".
So, can someone told me if "Select list with redirect" is the way to solve my problem or should I use something else?

Is there a way to print the check register with the Text field and also each item's Text field?"
When we enter a invoice we enter a generic text on the Basic Data tab then enter a "+" on each individual line item which in turns defaults to the generic text. Just wanted to know if the check register could draw in the individual line item detail where we can enter text that relates to just that line item. Sort of like the MIR7 draws in the detail for each item.
Kindly help me in full fill the above requirement.

I have a PDF form that I want to pre-fill multiple fields with example text that disappears onFocus. Is there a way to do this?

Pretty much what my subject line says. My client wants example text in the fields of a PDF form that will disappear when the cursor enters the field. When I try this with show/hide layers, the layer becomes visible as soon as I enter form editing mode, and the action doesn't work properly. Any help? I was able to get it to work with a single field, but multiple fields with example text on multiple layers doesn't work for some reason.

Problem with selection fields in SAP Quick Viewer

I am using SQVI t-code to develop the SAP queries. I have developed a query using tables KNA1, VBAK and VBAP. Initially I used customer number, customer name, city, document creation data, document type and document number as selection fields. Now I have removed customer name, city, document creation data, document type from selection fields. I am executing this query through a Function module "RSAQ_REMOTE_QUERY_CALL". While passing the data to selection table, even after deleting the 4 selection fields, still I have to pass the sales document number positioning as 6. Is there any way to solve this and make its position as 2.
I have gone through the FM "RSAQ_IMPORT_QUERY", there one table parameter O_DBSE will retrieve the values for selection fields are designed for that query, again its tedious process, I have create a customized function module and make the required changes. Instead of using this FM, is there any table which stores the data of the selection fields of a query. I have tried for the table and I failed to find that.

Hello, I am trying to create LSMW to upload KP06 also, we have been uploading by copying and pasting once we run the iverview layout and then save. The problem is that we can only do this by G/L account. We want to use one file to upload all. Can you give me some tips how you were able to accomplished. I am familiar with LSMW, but tcode KP06 behaves in different ways. Do you use the flexible upload to load the fiel thru LSMW? Can you tell me which fields you touch in KP06 when you were recording?

Difficulty creating rich text fields with autoresizing text on my mac (Mavericks?)

I'm a new user so I could be making a simple error, but here goes:
I'm trying to make the text fields in a pdf form be rich text with the font autoresizing as needed, but these setting seem not to save when I do this on my new mac desktop. When I open the same file on my iPad, the field appears to have the rich text setting preserved and resizes text as necessary; this also isn't a problem on my work commuter (PC with windows)*. It's very weird; I change the option settings to allow rich text and uncheck line scrolling, then lock the changes, then try to input text and the settings appear not to have taken effect. When I reopen form editing, the old settings (multiple lines, scrolling) are checked again even though I locked it. Hopefully someone out there knows why this might be happening?
*When I email the iPad pdf file to myself and open on mac, the text seems to "autocorrect" the form field text back to multiple lines/scrolling, and looks terrible.

I suppose a possible solution is if there's a way to add the text form fields in Illustrator... or if there's a way to add an invisible marker (besides adding a rule line) that Acrobat will automatically read as a text field location?
