Linking functional modules

Hi,
We have a set of isolated functional modules (bounded task flows) which implement specific business functions. In brief, there are modules to search and to manage information.
In order to ensure the business logic we want to link these modules. For this purpose, we thought on a main application (where will be the unbouded task flow) responsible for manage the functional modules.
What is the best design approach for this use case? Should we gather all the modules in the unbouded task flow and define the interactions between them using task flow calls?

We decided to use the UI Shell pattern. In more detail, we have a main application where the main page uses the Oracle UI Shell template and the functional modules are managed through the implementation of the pattern.
The functional modules developed by each development team are imported by the main application as jar libraries.

Linking Function Module to R/3 table in Crystal Reports

I am creating a report wherin I am linking a function module to a R/3 table. When I try to preview this report, I am getting "Failed to retrieve data from database" and then"Invalid Argument Provided".
If I exclude either FM or Table from report, both return data to the report.

Function module to copy INVOIC IDOC

One of our customers use the IDOC message type INVOIC. When the IDOC are received and the proces has been started, we will like to make a copy of the IDOC with the status code 70.
I know this functionality exist when we change the segment data using the transaction code BD87, and I have debugged this transaction, but the "copy" functionality are developed in the program SAPLEDI5 and not in a function module.
I am looking for a function module to handle this functionality. Hope you can help me.

To make a copy of idoc message type, you simply have to find the linked Function module of the Idoc. So for INVOIC, there would be a linked Function Module , you can copy the interface of the Function Module and build your own custom Function Module (Z function module) to attach it to the message type.
So the steps to your problem would be:
1. Copy the FM to attached mesaage type into a Z function module.
2. Write the functionality you require in your Z function module.
3. Attach the message type/ idoc type to this function module. The systematic steps to this can be simply carried out in the Transaction WEDI which is an area menu for EDI/IDOC . Depending on whether it is inbound/outbound, you can follow the steps.

Custom idoc [ related to function module]

i had an requirement to create a custom idoc for catsdb table with 4 fields
1. pernr
2. workdate
3. lstar ......
and to transfer it from one application server to another.i had created it n transfered it to another application server. now my problem is in receiver side the data in idoc is not posted into database of catsdb [ at receiver side].
can any one give the code for Custom function module at receiver side so that when idoc is received [from sender] it must be updated to databse tables via this FM.
its very urgent . help me ........................

In the receiver system you have to :
1. Create a process code and link with message type using WE42
2. Create an inbound function module using SE37.
For example: BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1
3. Link function module with basic type and message type using WE57

Function Module to read records of MSEG

Hi Experts,
Is there any function module available to read the contents of MSEG table based on Purchase Order Number/Purchase Order Item combination alone?
I am facing a scenario where i need to read the records of MSEG table corresponding to a set of PO Number/PO Item combinations.
I guess the direct process of making a query on the MSEG table without any of the key fields will make the program slow.
So i am trying to see if there is any function module available for this purpose.
It will be very helpful if you could share any information on this.

BAPIs or Function Modules for Links between different Business Objects

Hi experts,
I am accessing an SAP CRM 5.0 system from outside via remote function calls.
I have the GUID of a business partner and would like to find other business objects
that are related to this business partner.
For example:
- Which activities are relevant for this business partner?
- Which orders were placed by this business partner?
- Which leads or opportunities are linked to this business partner?
- Which products did this business partner order?
Is it possible to get this information by calling BAPIs or other RFC function modules?

After studying lots of documentation and trying to understand the BOL and GenIL concepts,
I finally found a function module which meets my demands. With function module
CRM_GENIL_GET_QUERY_RESULT you can execute a Search Object of the GenIL,
and it is remote-enabled.
By checking transaction GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER and choosing component set "ALL"
you get a list of all defined Search Objects. The Search Object that finds all orders of a
business partner is "BTQuery1O".

I should retrieve the gl account number linked to a certain SD invoice item. The
program starts from VBRK and VBRP data. Is there a function module which
enables to get it starting from these header lines? I already used the function
module: RV_INVOICE_ACCOUNT_DETERM ( release: 4.0 ), but in some cases it
doesn't seem to function properly ( the export table TKOMV doesn't contain a
value for the SAKN1 field ). For the invoices for which the function isn't able to
retrieve the account number, the standard accounting analysis functionality returns
the following message: account determination carried out via KOFI type. So I'm
searching for a function module that's able to retrieve the account number in these
cases also.

Try using FM SD_DETERMINE_ACCOUNT_INVOICE or WLF_INVOICE_ACCOUNT_DETERM.

Linking a function module in Bex query

Hi,How do I use a function module in a Bex query?
Req is: use to get the diff b/w 2 date fields only if both the value are present otherwise leave the result column blank.
Ex:
Date1, date2, No. of working days
X        Y         x-y
Blank    Y         Blank(no value to be set)
X        Blank     Blank(no value to be set)
I tried to do this in Query, but then it results in zero in the 2nd and 3rd case which is not as per my req.
Wanna try with function module DAYS_BETWEEN_TWO_DATES in the query. Steps to link this function module in a bex query wud be very helpful.

XI-- IDOC scenario, how to link process code with function module

I have a XI--->IDOC (R/3) scenario,
where i m creating a IDOC in XI and sending it to R/3,
i have done all settings to send the IDOC from XI to the R/3,
i also have the function module to process that IDOC in R/3,
the problem is:
I want to know in details (step by step) how to make a Idoc Inbound process code, link it with the function module and use the process code in the Partner Profile in R/3,

FOr this u need to go to transaction WE41 for inbound and WE40 for outbound there u assign the function module.
Now u go to WE20 transaction for partner profile and u can assign the proces code to the inbound message.

Function Module for getting opportunity linked to accounts

Hi All,
Can some one help me in providing the FM that gives the opportunities linked to a business partner(Accounts). I have found that this can be achieved by querying Database tables on CRMD_PARTNER, CRM_ORDERADM_H, CRMD_LINK,BUT000 Tables. This seems to be very complicated joins. Looking for any FM that can help me for this requirement.

Hi,
Since Opportunity is a One Order Object in CRM, you can use the function module CRM_ORDER_READ to read the opportunity. Here you will have all the partners associated to it will be available in the ET_PARTNER table. From there if you need further details then you can query the Business Partner Object and will get the BP details.
You can use the CRM ORDERMAINTAIN to update a One Order Object.

Iam preparing Z report for BOM display of FG and SFG materials.
Iam displaying the Basic List using the MAST table. Here i double click on the material no.
Here iam using the function module :CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 for fetching the data from STPOX structure ,here i want to link material no. which has been from basic list and the above said function module.
Can anybody provide the solution for the above said linking in ALV interactive report.
Please treat it very urgent as this report is to be presented on high priority.

when we create maintenance order (IW31), there is a tab 'Object' for entering object list. and there is a need
to enter automatically equipments ( that have link to the equipment in maintenance order) to that object list.
