XI-- IDOC scenario, how to link process code with function module

Hi Forum,
I have a XI--->IDOC (R/3) scenario,
where i m creating a IDOC in XI and sending it to R/3,
i have done all settings to send the IDOC from XI to the R/3,
i also have the function module to process that IDOC in R/3,
the problem is:
I want to know in details (step by step) how to make a Idoc Inbound process code, link it with the function module and use the process code in the Partner Profile in R/3,
pls help

FOr this u need to go to transaction WE41 for inbound and WE40 for outbound there u assign the function module.
Now u go to WE20 transaction for partner profile and u can assign the proces code to the inbound message.

In WE42 itself we can assign the process code to a FM.
select new entries.
Enter a process code name & description.
Enter Ur FM in Identification Field.
Now select Processing by Function module in Processing type.
Save it.
For outbound do the same thing in WE41 tcode

the IDOC is being sent to a R/3 system,
for the purpose, in R/3 i need to make a inbound processing code, can u tell me how to make a processing code and link it with a Function Module.......

If you are using standard idoc then you do not need to create new processing code.
There would be standard processing code available. You need to set input partner profile with processing code.
Let us know which idoc type you are using for inbound posting.
Anyway..TC for Creating processing code is : WE41(Outbound) and WE42 (Inbound)

Process code's function module required for the IDOC Message type PROACT

Hi,
I am trying to trigger an IDOC from ME32K transaction which will carry my Contract agreement details to XI. The IDOC I am using for this purpose is PROACT.PROACT01. But I couldn't find the outbound process code / Function module for the process code associated to this IDOC message type.
Pls help me out....

I checked table EDIFCT for the message type and found this:
Function module Function type Basic type Message Type
IDOC_INPUT_PROACT F PROACT01 PROACT
Oops...I think you are looking for outbound..Ignore

if u dont have process code r cant able to find process code,
u create process code its very easy.
for inbound, go to
   TX-WE42.
click create give ur process code and give that function module.
in processing type,
           u check the radiobutton as processing by function module and save it.
then, u can use this process code in our partner profile .
any doubt regarding this u can ask me.

Link process order with PM Module

Hy,
I know it looks crazy but, is it possible to link the process order with the Measuring counter and counter reading.
We are working with pharma compny and due to some of ragulatroy reasons it is required.
if possible then pls guide?

Thank u for the taking intrest.
Actually we are using Filters which we have maintain as a Measuring Counter in PM. Our intention is just to track the which filter is used during the production process and also how much product is passed through that speciifc filer.I know my second point is covered through the measuring counter reading but I want to link it with PP module.

I have used Reuse_alv_grid_display function module in my report for ALV output. I have a requirement to add drop down in one cell of my output. I have searched but all are suggesting through OOPS programing that I can not use.

Idoc type, message type and process code for EDI 940 & 945

Hi,
We are implementing a scenario wherein we are required to send a Wharehouse Shipping Order to the warehouse (forwarding agent) using EDI 940. The output of the o/b is triggered from the Delivery (VA01) after creation of a Delivery in SAP. Once the warehouse ships the goods, it notifies us back by sending EDI 945 (Warehouse Shipping Advice). Using this inbound 945 we are required to update the existing delivery in SAP, i.e., it should do the Pick, Pack and PGI.
Can someone tell me which Idoc type, Message Type and Process code should be used for the above scenario.

Hi Gajendra,
For EDI940, you can use message type SHPORD or WHSORD, IDOC type DELVRY01 and process code DELV.
For EDI945, you can use message type SHPCON or WHSCON, IDoc type DELVRY01 and process code DELV.

WE20 - partner profiles: inbound parameters - how to determine process code

Running standalone scenario on SRM 5.0.
First of all, it is not possible to "generate partner profiles" automatically in BD64 (distrubution model) in the backend system for message types:
BBPIV, BBPCP, ACC_GOODS_MOVEMENT, ACLPAY and MBGMCR.
The following error is displayed:
BBPCO
Inbound parameters for message type BBPCO could not be created
Enter a valid process code
etc.
When trying to create partner profiles manually in WE20, how do I determine the process codes for the different message types?

Note 330401 - Process code does not exist f. BBPCO01, BBPIV01
Solution
Check and if necessary, correct the following entries:
1. Assign function module to message type
Transaction WE57
The following entries are required:
Module IDOC_INPUT_BBP_IV IDOC_INPUT_BBP_ACC_PO
Type F F
Basic type BBPIV01 BBPCO01
Msg type BBPIV BBPCO
Direction 2 2
Object type BBPBUS2081 (not for Release 3.1)
Note that object type BBPBUS2081 is not defined in Release 3.1*. In
this case, the 'Object type' entry remains empty.
2. Characteristics of inbound function modules
Transaction BD51
The following entries are required:
Inbound FM IDOC_INPUT_BBP_IV IDOC_INPUT_BBP_ACC_PO
Input type 1 1

3. Create the missing process code with Transaction WE42 (change inbound
process code). You can name the process code whatever you want. 'IV01'
or 'CO01' are examples.

Option ALE Processing with ALE service
Processing Type Processing by function module
Save the entry. You are then on the detail screen. Enter:

4. Maintain the process code that has just been created in the partner
profile for the logical system.

I have a n Idoc View . I want to know what is the outbound Function Module for this IDoc View .
Usually the process code contains the Function Module but when the idoc View is used the Process code is not maintained in the Message control of the Partner Profiles.So how to know which Function Module is used for this Idoc View ?

How to Link AD user with Apps user

Hi,
We are in process of authenticating EBusiness suite users against their Active Directory credentials.
We did the following:
1. Import Apps users into OID
2. Import AD users into OID
We dont know how to link AD account with EBz account. Are we on right track?
Please let me know if there is any document which explains the linking process.

I sucessfully authetnicated the AD user in OID against AD password using external auth.

You can't make an entry directly to production server.
You have to make the changes in Dev server then transport it to production server.
