Linking secure html link with JSF?

Hey all,
I do have a previous post regarding j_security_check and using container based security, but since this problem could be answered without it, checking to see how (j_security_check: http://swforum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=54464&tstart=0).
I want to be able to e-mail links with pre-populated attributes (identifiers, dates, what have you) but still have the link secure and require auth. But, I do want to automatically go to that linked page after auth. How does one do this with JSF?

Html components to JSF

hi
i have a html page ie written purely using html tags. and im now trying to use the JSF components instead of html tags.
is there any way to do this.
i have to open the html file in JDev 11.and change the html tags to JSF.
How to do this????

im writing it again.
i have a html page ie check_html.html
i copied tht file along with the css and the images used in the file into the public_html directory of an exsisting project.
and it runs fine.
now i wanted to use jsf components in this html file.but in the component palatte there is only html componenets.so i could not replace the html components with JSF.
so i saved this file as check_html.jsp file in the same location.
now when i opened this file all tag lib are displayed in the component palatte.
so i used the jsf components also in the new check_html.jsp file.and i could see it fine in the
design view.
By WEB-INF directory contains all xmls.
but once i run this check_html.jsp page i am getting the error

I have found a fix after doing additional research through this forum. Tech Note #328730 addresses this problem and it works for Photoshop Album 3.2 even though it was written for release 1.0.

When using this fix the Tech Note indicates:
"Imported image data and tags are lost when you re-create the My Catalog.psa file, so you need to reimport images and reapply any tags"
however it did retain the captions (at least it did for me).

Is there a way to include html link with applet?

I am thinking of writing an applet that would be useful to others, which I would provide for free. In return I would want a link from the pages that use the applet. It is important that the link is search engine friendly, a pure href html link that will provide google page rank to me.
Is there a way to include such a link with an applet so that it can't be removed?

No. You can't force other sites to change their content.

Creating a link with the Link Tool

I used the Link Tool to create a Link in my pdf file. The link is set to open a website file. I created 2, one with just a little text and the other was a picture that was 200 X 300 px. When I follow the links, each is opening a full web page. I expected that with the Text link because I put the text on an html page but the picture I sized to the 200X300 but that opened a full web page also. When setting up the link to the Web File I did not see an additional settings as far as how to open the web page such as _parent or _child etc. I believe it is normally the Target.
Does anyone know how I would either do this with the link tool or know of a better way to do it overall?

Hi,
You may be confusing HTML markup for links with PDF links.
In PDF, HTML markup is not applicable.
So "target_xxxx" or any other HTML 'stuff' cannot be used.
For the graphic file (JPG, PNG, whatever), make a web page file that is configured to display the graphic file in a manner you desire.
The web link you set in the PDF, with Acrobat, will result in this web page file opening.
This is the file that will control how the graphic is rendered.
If needed, a resource for HTML "how to" is W3 Schools.

[SOLVED] Xfce terminal open links with wrong browser.

After installing Opera as second browser, xfce terminal began to open links with it, instead of my default browser - Firefox.
I right click on an URL, choose 'Open Link' and it opens in Opera.
Firefox is set as default browser in Settings -> Preferred Applications -> Web Browser
xdg-open http://archlinux.org
- opens Firefox
exo-open http://archlinux.org
- opens Firefox
After quick search through xfce terminal sources i found it uses some function - gtk_show_uri.
I googled it, found that topic: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=140028 and tried the solution:

strangely it doesn't help.
After all righ click url in terminal and 'Open Link' still uses Opera.

Tried BROWSER envar - doesnt help, and as i understand it must work only for cli apps.
Editing of ~/.config/mimeapps.list doesnt help eather:

How to add a Link with children in the SuiteLink bar?

Hello,
I have developed a code to add a new link in the SuiteLink bar using delegate control that works as expected. Now I want to include a new link
but with children, I have tried many options in my code but with not luck.
What I need in the SuiteLink bar is something like:
My Services   Newsfeed OneDrive Sites
    Service 1
    Service 2
    Service 3
Any idea on how to achieve this?

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to add sublink in the top navigation bar.
There is an article about this issue, it contains the steps about how to create a link with sublink in the top navigation bar, you can have a look at it.

URL link with target _blank

Is it true that is not possible to insert in wiki pages a link to an external page with target set to "_blank" (new page)? If possible, how to do this?

First off that first link to the graphics site does not work. Getting a page not found error. Although I was able to do a quick lucky guess and added an "l" to the end of the address and it worked.
Second, because the link is embedded within a Flash document, your problem will lie within the ActionScript code as opposed to the HTML. Thus you would be better off posting this in the Flash forum with your ActionScript code to get better troubleshooting responses.

Url link with target="_blank" hangs in Internet Explorer 7 BUT works fine in IE6, FF, Safari?

Okay, so I have a SWF embedded on a page, which has a link to a target="_blank" url, and it works in every other browser, INCLUDING the notorious ie6, but NOT in IE7?
IE7 just opens a blank page (without the address in the address field) and displays 'connecting...' and stays there forever.
• I even manually typed in the adress of the site I'm trying to access with the link, and the page opened just fine in IE7.
But when I click on the link from the SWF, it hangs again and doesn't open. I manually typed in both addresses with and without the 'www' (i.e. http://somewebsite.com and http://www.somewebsite.com) and both opened in IE7.
But the link from the SWF ONLY opens a blank page with the 'connecting...' and stays there forever.
• I feel like it was working previously, but I could be wrong. Besides that, it is working in ie6, of all things. So I don't get it?
• This also happens with other website that have a link with target="_blank" in IE7, so it's not only my site.
As always any leads are greatly appreciated.

Hypertext links with graphics

Hi,
I am using FM9 and RH8 (TCS 2.5).
I would like to use graphics for navigation between help topics and have inserted the graphic, text frame and hypertext link into the FM document as described in the documentation. The graphic shows in the help file (tried HTML Help and Webhelp) but the link does not work. Hypertext links with text only are ok.
I already tried various combinations of the size of the anchored frame and the text frame but can't get it to work.
Does anyone have some advice? Thanks a lot.

Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text on the "Compose New Mail page" there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic. 
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button). 
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink. 
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).

Problem with making remote toppics when linking with external chm

Hi to everybody,
i m novice to robohelp html when i am creating chm files from
my exsisting project that is a robohelp word project which take
input doc file in Robohelp word and create .hpj poject and then i
open this .hpj project into robo help Html to create chm file .
when i m opening this project into robohelp html it is making .xpj
project from the hpj project .
but at this time poject has some links with external chm but
when i m making hyper link with external chm using Remote toppic
option this option i couldn't unable to found any where in robohelp
html plz anyone can know help me out from this
probelm....................plz...................i need help

Hi Ruziyo and welcome to the RH forums.
If you are opening up your project via the XPJ file in
RoboHelp HTML the remote topic should be able to be found by:
- Highlighting what is to be hyperlinked.
- Clicking the Insert > Hyperlink menu item (or use the
toolbar icon or Cntl + K).
- Click on the arrow to the right of the "Link To" field.
- Select the Remote Topic option.
- Select the CHM file that contains the topic to which the
hyperlink is linked to.
- Select the required topic.
You will be asked to copy the CHM into your project
directory. Hope this answers your question. If not, please do come
