Linking to a swapped image...help

I'm trying to set up a page that has a rightside column of thumbnail images, which, when clickedon opens a larger image in another area. I have done this using swap image. That's all set up, but now I would like to link that larger image to a different page...one with zoomify to show large details. I can't find any way in DW cs4 to do that...the only way the swapped image appears is in Live View and in Vive View the image is unselectable.
Thanks for any help.

I must have done something wrong It's not going to your site. Do you see the problem? Thanks once again.

If you don't want any of your linked images to have a border,
    put this into
    your CSS
    a img { border: 0; }

  • Swap Images Help

I have figure out the process of swaping images but now i
cannot get them to swap like I want them too. I want my little
pictures to go into the one big picture. Can someone please
    help??

Typically, you would want to do this in DW, NOT in FW. FW's
    HTML is usable
for prototyping, but not for production.

  • Help using swap images to swap 2 separate images

I am trying to use swap images to swap two separate images on
the same page but I can't get it to work. Here is the code for one
image, rotator. I also have a second image, rotatorB that I want to
swap different images with. I think I need two separate codes but
do not know how to do it.
    Thank You

Sorry, I don't know enough about how fireworks functions - but overall, I think it's always best to create the slices in a program like fireworks, (or image ready, etc), and then build the actual page in Dreamweaver (or other web software). It's kind of like how Photoshop used to let you create the slices, then export the entire photoshop file as an html page - it would create a very basic page with multiple nested tables that were nothing but trouble...
For what it's worth - Dreamweaver makes it fairly easy to do - once you're familiar it should only take a few minutes to accomplish (once you have all of the pieces saved to the images folder).
Fireworks isn't a web-creation software - it's function is to optimize images for the web, and slice up graphics (from what I know about it, anyway...)
**Also, on a side note - there are many disadvantages to creating buttons with graphics - number one reason is down the road when a client wants to add or modify the buttons, they will need the original photoshop file - and the fonts loaded in order to accomplish... then need to save out both the on and off state for each. I've been there, and they find it very annoying (known to lose customers because of it). Secondly, search engines and Handicap accessible software can't read graphics - even if you apply "alt tags", it's not as good as having a text link. If possible, it's best to use text for the links (and creating the rollover effects with stylesheets - there are tons of examples: http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=css+rollover&form=MS8TDF&pc=MS8TDF&src=IE-SearchBox
    Hope that helps

  • Help wih swap image. I think?

I'm trying to get images to appear in a part of the page
when I roll over the thumbnail of the image.
    Here's the page:

I did a swap image behavior. It worked!
It shows the swapped image from an image file in a slice I

BUT, when I upload the site I can't get the images to swap.
Is it something to do with where the image file is stored?

There's no swap image behavior on that page. Rather, it's an
    image map.
It appears to be changing the image on click, but it is
    actually opening
    a new HTML page.

  • Swap images in content holders

How does one go about swapping out a default image within in the content holder for header?
I actually downloaded the default '[email protected]' from the preview site, and replaced their image with my own logo in Photoshop, being careful to keep the same size, format, and name, only to be unable to find the respective images folder anywhere on the site to replace the original logo with my replacement logo (I went through all the file via ftp and NO 'img' or 'images' directory was to be found).
In being so stingy with the so-called site integrity, the designers have made it difficult (next to impossible) to customize their web site, so doesn't that defeat the purpose of Business Catalyst?
I have forgotten the name of the BC site I imported for this, latest (and probably LAST) attempt to work with BC to come up with a site I can actually use, but it had to do with students, and  used a large black div for the header - it's the 'cultivate' logo that I am trying to replace with my own logo.
How do I access the actual contents of the default content holders for the header to replace their logo with my logo?

Hi I¹m also a little disappointed but, try to use firebug in firefox, it
shows you where all the code,  css and images are stored.

  • Swap Images and URLs at the Same Time

I would like to not only to swap images when one rolls over a thum image, but at the same time I would like to have a link swapped in the new image.  I am using behaviors to swap multiple images on a page.   So to be clear I have several thums that one can roll over.   When a thum is rolled over with the mouse a large image is swaped  in a different location on the page.   I would like to be able to attach a unique link to a URL to each of these new large images when they are swapped.

The link below will take you to a life page. In this example, the changing
text below the large changing image is in fact an image that is swaped out
as one moves the mouse over a thum on the right side of this page. This
changing text image will have an "Add to Cart" button. The button could be
part of the text or perhaps yet another image that changes as one moves
over the thums on the right. Here is where I need the help. As one clicks
on this text image that is changing (or changing button) I would like to
have a link associated with this image that will add the customors choice
of pillows to their cart. Need help with how to associate a unique link to
unique URLs with this changing text image.

  • Dv6 Hard disk swap OS help

Hi, I have a dv6-1245dx laptop, and have have determined  (with help from other folks on this forum ) that a failing HD is the cause of some BSOD issues i've been having lately, so I'd like to swap it out and keep this puppy alive a bit longer.
The HD is a Fujitsu SATA44 type, and is super easy to get to.  Assuming I get a drive thats exactly the same size, the swap should be a breeze.
I assume I can get pretty much any laptop 2.5'' hard drive that is SATA, and i'm just gonna get the same size (320GB), so it's not very expensive.
My problem though, is how to deal with the OS?  This laptop has vista.  How can I take the old drive out, slap a new one in, and somehow get the OS back onto the new drive ( this was my wifes laptop so if there were original install discs, they are LONG gone )  ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You're not restricted to any HDD manufacturer, so any 2.5" Sata drive ( 5400rpm or 7200rpm ) will be fine ( you'll need to remove the plastic adapter from the old drive and fit it to the new one - see Pages 78/79 of your Maintenance & Service Guide ) - You may also want to consider installing a slightly larger capacity drive if there's little differnce in cost, such as the example on the link below.
    500Gb Notebook Hard Drive.
Regarding reinstalling the OS, there are a couple of options.
    1.  Although the Recovery Discs are no longer stocked by HP, they are available at the 3rd party re-seller on the following link.
    http://www.computersurgeons.com/p-16827-recovery-kit-532673-001-for-hp-model-number-dv6-1245dx.aspx
These discs will reinstall the operating system, all required drivers and nearly all of the original software ( the exception often being trials of MS Office ).  They will also re-create all the original partitions, including the Recovery Partition.
    2.   In the same way that it's possible to create a Windows 7 retail disc, use this to perform the installation and then use the OEM windows 7 activation key from the COA label, the same process is possible if your notebook came with Vista.  A full description ( including links to the Vista Image downloads ) of this can be found on the following link.
    Vista Files & Guide.
Additional software and drivers you may require can be found Here.

  • Links in JPG & GIF images.

    Hello board,
I'm making some JPGs & animated GIFs for my website, and my CMS allows images to link to only a single link; e.g. it
links the whole image.  Is it possible to embed multiple links in a single image THEN upload to one's CMS?  If so, how?

    Marian Driscoll wrote:
JPG and GIF image files cannot contain even a single link. Links are only made through HTML.
You can slice the image (see Photoshop help on 'slicing') and then apply unique links to each slice in the CMS' WYSIWYG editor.
You can also manually enter a HTML image map for a single image file if your CMS allows raw HTML and does not filter that type of input.
    Or you can use Dreamweaver.

    Hi everyone,
I am attempting to get a swap images to work.  It works in the preview window but not when I preview it in the browser.  When I open it in a browser the states seem to "cycle" through really quickly in rapid succession.  I have linked my png file for you to see.  Any thoughts?

Your swap image slice is set to Animated GIF. Change it in the Optimize panel to plain GIF or PNG 8

  • Two Swap Image Behaviors - Only One Swap Image Restore Works

    How come?
I have a button image with a two swap image behaviors applied to it - a rollover for the OVER state and one behavior for a disjointed or "remote" rollover effect.
Both rollover effects work fine, but the disjointed or remote rollover effect does not return the button to it's original state.  (I've determined this by removing the second or remote swap image behavior and testing it.)
    Why doesn't this work?
All scripts are contained within the HTML page itself; no linked scripts are used.
    Thanks!
