Linking with Outlook & alerts for uncompleted tasks?

We are wondering if it's possible to do the following with Project (we use Project Professional 2010):
1. create alerts of some type for uncompleted tasks?
2. link with Outlook (2010) to send schedule notifications to resources to let them know or remind them that they're scheduled for something, or communicate with their calendars somehow?

This functionality is only possible if your organization is using Microsoft Project Server 2010. Assuming you are only using the desktop application and not Project Server 2010, you might be able to achieve this functionality through custom software
development by writing a macro in the VBA programming language. Hope this helps.

Sharepoint 2013 Custom Workflow - Email link to EditForm.aspx for Workflow Task

I have created a custom workflow which starts a task with one or two users once a form is submitted. These users receive an email with a link to the task that has been created. The problem is it doesn't open the edit form for the task it just
links to the displaypage.asp for the task. This is causing all sorts of confusion so I just wanted to change the link to the edit form instead.
It seems simple enough but I just cant find a way to do it?! I am a beginner in this stuff so I have no visual studio experience and have designed all this using SPD 2013.
Is there an easy way around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

DM 7.0 stop during sync with outlook 201 , for help!

For a year, I could not sync bb 9900 contact with outlook 2010, the appeared problem is that reading records from both outlook and device are ok, when updating the record, it stop in middle, sometime at recourd of 39 of 340, sometines 33 of 270. I have try two way, one way either from pc to device or from device to pc, the problem is still. I am using BIS service.
The problem happened a year ago when my company upgraded office software from 2007 to 2010. Any help???

I using Mac book pro 10.7.2 and also install Microsoft Office for MAc 2011.

I don't want to use Mac address book....coz so many step to copy from outlook to Macbook address.

I have 500 CD songs.
Last time I'm using Itunes in Mac Book pro using my login ID...when I insert the CD song (audio CD) Itunes will auto save all the song in ACC format in the Itunes folder : right.
Now my Mac book pro formated all the save files wiped......
Questions 1:
Ok now my questions If I ask my brother to use his Laptop windows XP O/S and using diffrent ID and put all the 500 cd songs it will save in My Music>iTunes...all the 500 songs: right.
Questions 2:
Can all the 500 songs copies into the external drive....and paste to my new Mac book pro after format....in the itunes location..is my ID will detected again all my song also ICloud will sync all the songs....

Does iTunes 11.1 now sync with Outlook 2013 for Contacts and Calendar?

Previously I could sync and iPhone 4/4S with Outlook 2010 Contacts and Calendar but it stopped working when I moved to Outlook 2013.
Does anyone know if this has now been fixed with iTunes 11.1?

I have a problem with syncing my calander with outlook 2007 for iPhone 5s, ipad 1st and 3rd generation. Contacts work find, and new and changed enteries in outlook all go to the devices. Device Cal changes do not appear in Outlook

Over the past year or so, I have been unable to fully sync my iPads with outlook 2007 calander. Now I have an iPhone 5s, and really need the calander fixed. Contacts seem to sync in both directions, and any new or changed cal enteries in outlook appear on the device. The problem is that any new or changed calander enteries do not make ip back to outlook 2007, so there is only one-way syncing (down to the device) but no return, for calander entries.
I am now using the latest itunes, which I followed the recommendation delete all apple stuff, and then reinstall, I have used scanpst, built new PSts, etc, am I am stuck.
Not using icloud either.
Not using wi-fi, purely USB cabale sync
Running on Windows XP, SP3
Now IOS 7.0.2 on iPhone and 1 iPad (3rd gen)

Bottom line: if you follow the recommendation to delte all itunes software and re-install, it don't work (at least for me and many others).
However, purge the data (certain data) and the data syncs.
I think the folder is Apple Computer\Preferences and it needs to be purged.
To be sure, maybe someone can rename the folder on their system, then run itunes and see if it syncs ok.
The idea is to figure out the least minimum stuff that needs to be touched in order to get a working solution than having to purge all Apple software and then rebuild it all over again.
I had purged other files out of inpatience, but did not want to purge entire folders because I had Safari, and Quicktime software, and did not want to wipe that out, Plus there were software downloads and device backups in some of those folders. But I really believe it is the preferences folder, and I would like someone with the same problem to try it and verify it.
Once the preferences folder is removed/renamed (taken out of the picture) pluggin in the device and go to the INFO (I think that is the iTunes tab) page where you select calanders, contacts, email accounts, etc. They will all be unchecked (because you wiped out the preferences) and you need to reselect them. Then run your sync.
What I had done in testing was create something on the device, and modify something else on the device looking to see what got up to Outlook. I got the good news that something good was happening when I got the conflict message from iTunes, and it showed both Outlook and iPhone, showing the calander entry I changed on the iPhone. Never got that before. After the sync, everything looked good the few test entries were uploaded to outlook.
Now, My Cal is 10L+ enteries, and I am doing 100% sync (I don't select the option to ignore enteries over x days). I also have 1400+ contacts. Before this change, the sync of contacts & calanders took a couple of hours (and only operated ONE-WAY, now the syn is taking less than 5 minutes for this one step.
I am a Windows XP Professional user, x32 bit system, using Outlook 2007, iTunes 11.1.1.11, I am standalone (no exchange server) and have about 10 email accounts (mainly POP) defined. I am using only one calander in outlook, but I have Outlook and 2 gmail calanders in the iPhone.
I am running iPhone 5s and iPad 3rd Gen both with IOS 7.0.2 and a 1st generation iPad with the latest version of IOS 5.x.
If anyone else has success, I'd like to hear, along with your experience.

Sync with Outlook ONLY for a specific date range

I have a Zire 31 that I'm syncing with Outlook via latest Palm Desktop/HotSync. I did just install the latest conduit.
I was getting several repeating calendar entries that were not syncing with the Zire (annual birthdays, etc.) - turns out that they did not have an "end-date" specified when created in Outlook. Creating an end-date solved the problem.
However - I would like to know if it is possible to specify a certain date range for the device to sync (e.g., sync calendar only for years 2007 through 2050, or in other words sync from 1 year ago to 50 years in future, etc...)
I recall specifying this once years ago, but I may have been using a third party to sync with Lotus Notes at the time. I'm wondering if this option is also available with syncing directly with Outlook using HotSync??? I can't imagine it's not, but I can't find where you specify it.
One more interesting note: while my Zire 31 had issues syncing those repeating calendar entries - my much older HandSpring Visor Deluxe syncs them no problem! Go figure.

I'm not actually looking to purge old items.
Rather - I would like to ONLY sync calendar entries between a specified range of dates. For example - ONLY sync for calendar entries between Jan 1 2007 and Jan 1, 2050.
the problem is that I have some repeating entries (birthdays, etc.) that are set up in Outlook with no end date. Apparently Palm/HotSync is having trouble syncing these (they don't show up at all - for any year.)
One resolution is to apply an end-date for each repeating calendar entry. However, this is just another step my wife needs to remember to do. If you happen to forget to to this, then Hotsync will ignore that entry. Fine if you realize that's happening, but if you forget and forget to check - you won't even know it didn't sync!
The other possible resolution is to only have HotSync sync for a SPECIFIC date range - one that does not presumably go to infinity. That is my question - how does one sync ONLY for a specific date range. Has nothing to do with purging old entries.

Outlook 11 for Mac sharing Calendar with Outlook 2010 for Windows

I have an Executive user that has a Macbook with Outlook 2011 that shares his calendar with his Administrator using Outloook 2010 for Windows (Exchange 2010). Exec changed his categories last week. The changes do not appear on Admin's calendar.
Exec is sharing calendar with Full / Publisher privs.
When I share my calendar with Admin she sees categories, and colors. Is dynamic, I make a change she immidietly sees it.
When Admin looks at her OWA she does not see changes on Exec's shared calendar.

Seems this an Exchange-Outlook 2011/2010 mix scenario. Seems Admin even cannot to see the categories changed through OWA, I think the categories have still not updated to mailbox from the Executive user's Outlook 2011. Does it happen when the user and
admin share their calendar with categories in one platform, I mean Outlook in Windows in both side or using OWA?

Planned Task - Problems with user Rights for recurring tasks

Hi there,
I'm currently trying to configure a database replication tool from a 3rd party supplier to work as planned task on Windows Server 2012 R2 (Datacenter).
There's a very strange problem, however: It does work perfect, if I configure the task to occur only once. It does not work, if I check the "Run that task each XXX hours/days"-Checkbox when configuring the Trigger.
i.E.: works, when I have a trigger for each hour, doen't work if I configure one trigger to reoccur each hour.
I tried to pinpoint that problem down, and I found that the task cannot access it's logfile when it's started "reoccurring" (It probably would not make sense to post a screenshot here, since I'm working with the german version of the server). It
also does not work if I configure a specific trigger to end the task after XXX hours/days/etc. of operation.
To form a more specific question: are there differences in the rights used to start a process, if it is scheduled to be started each our, by configuring a reoccurring trigger?

Would you please post more detailed information about Planned and recurring tasks?
If you means creating task in task scheduler, in general, the triggers shouldn't frustrate the execution of the task, and we usually need to check the security option in the task.
To troubleshoot the issue in task scheduler, please enable the task history: Open an elevated Task Scheduler (ie. right-click on the Task Scheduler icon and choose Run as administrator)->In the Actions pane, click Enable All Tasks History.

Trouble opening internet links in Outlook & Duplicate icon on task bar

Hi,
I am having trouble opening links in my Outlook 2010 e-mail. If Firefox is already open the links open fine but if it's not open, nothing happens when I click on the link. Also, I'm trying to figure out why, on my desktop, when I open Firefox from the quick launch area it creates a duplicate Firefox icon. On my laptop there will be just one Firefox icon, even when the program is open (the one on the quick launch bar). Any ideas? Thanks.

Another shortcut for maximizing the currently active window is to press Alt+Spacebar followed by x for maximize.

Do you have multiple monitors by any chance? If so, can you set the monitor where you want Firefox to "primary"?
If this problem persists -- in other words, if Firefox stops saving the new position of its window(s) correctly between sessions -- the settings file that stores the last window position may be corrupted. You could try removing that file and let Firefox use its default sizing and positioning. Note: this also will default some toolbar customizations.
Here's how:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button to open a new window showing your currently active settings files.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''localstore.rdf''' to something like localstore.old
Start Firefox back up again. Is the window visible?

I wrote the report but how do I know for which plants the document no was selected
I have already selected cdhdr and cdpos tables only want to fetch those records
from cdhdr,cdpos belongs to plants , I would be thankful if someone can send me code.

from VBAK-VKBUR you have to search for all relevant sales orders in VBAK.
From the list of sales orders (VBAK-VBELN) you have to read the CDHDR table for the relevant changes (Headers).
Then look into CDPOS for the change items (with old and new values etc).

8900 won't link with Outlook 2010

I am very upset that my Blackberry 8900 will not sync with my new computer that has Outlook 2010 and I am told by RIM that you don’t know when it will. It is making me reconsider whether to get another blackberry (I have 4 in use on my account) when my TMobile contract expires. It is a pain for me not to be able to sync my calendar or back up new data I load into my PDA. And I worry that if I lose or damage my device, I will lose data that isn’t backed up.

Support for Outlook 2010 will be out in just another week or two. RIM has made official statements about it coming in August. August 10 is the date that is being rumored. It's almost here.
