Links and photo gallery not working!

Hi,
I've just created a website by iWeb. After publishing the site in the local folder I've uploaded the entire contents to the server by FTP. From local folder it works fine but while trying to view online, the links between the pages not working (even not visible) at the same time my photo gallery is also not working (not visible). I was using Safari in mac.The same problem occurs while I am trying to browse the site from in my pc (copied the file in a local folder) and using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer
If anyone can tell me what is the possible error?

From viewing your site it's apparent that not all of the files are being uploaded to the server. Particularly those in the Scripts folder.
Have you opened your locally published site with your browser and checked it out? I think you'll find that the navbar will display correctly on both pages and the rest of the site will properly.
What ftp client are you using to upload the files? If you haven't tried the free Cyberduck client give it a try. Many users have found it to be successful where other clients were having problems.

I had same issue and went back to snow lepard, there was a known issue with Lion and a patch was issued last wednesday for Lion it may be ok if you update it I dont know

IWeb photo gallery not working!

Hello everyone! I built my website using iWeb and it has been up and running perfectly for a few months now. But, then I decided to try and update it with photos of artwork. I uploaded all files to my web-host's server, and now the page shows, but not the photo gallery! Any ideas as to what happened? Here is the site & page. My web hosting company is looking at it, but they have yet to discover what the issue is.. Any advice you can provide is most appreciated!

You are missing a number of files from your website. You can see which are missing by bringing up the Activity window (Command+Option+A) while viewing the Places page in Safari and looking at the list of files in the window.
How are you publishing the site? With iWeb? If so then try using the File ➙ Publish Entire Site menu option to see if that will force those missing files to be uploaded.
If that doesn't work you can publish your site to a folder on your hard drive and use a 3rd party FTP client, like the free Cyberduck, to upload the site files. If you have to continue to use Cyberduck this tutorial may help: #2 - Uploading Only Those Newly Published or Edited Files When Using a 3rd Party FTP Client.

Problem: Photo Gallery not working.

Hello i am new at flash. I created a simple photo gallery
using flash CS3. I had 11 photos to show and i created 11 keyframes
and put a uiloader on each one of them. Then i added buttons and
linled them to the uiloaders. I changed the source values of the
loaders. So when i clicked a button, the selected uiloader with the
photo attached to the source of it was seen. It has such a simple
logic. Because i don't know enough actionscript to do it easier.
Anyway the problem is i make it work on my computer but when i
uploaded it to my site it doesn't work properly. I can see the
buttons but the photos are not seen. I checked the files and
folders but everything seems right. What might be the problem. How
can i solve it?

Try duplicating the folder structure of your website, on your
local drive. You may need the path from where the html file is, so
you would add "/mages" to the loaders for instance. Not sure what
you setup is, but I have found that using LoadMovie, I have to set
it up so it doesnt work when I test the movie in Flash, but it will
work when I open the html file...

Links in photo album not working

Hi, I created a prototype Web Site using DW CS4 and used Fireworks for a photo album. I used the command in Dreamweaver "create web photo album" which ran successfully. When I created the album I told Dreamweaver to put navigation links on the page when displaying a photo. The 'back' and 'next' buttons work but the 'home' button doesn't work. I discovered that it is trying to link to a page that does not exist and if I edit the address bar in my browser I can get it to work. I would like to know where in Dreamweaver you can go to edit where this link sends the user to.

Hi. Thanks for the quick response to my questoin. I have looked around but cannot locate the home page button in dreamweaver but the buttons I am talking about do not show up when you are looking at it in the design view. The button that I am talking about is only shown when you click on a picture thumbnail in the album and it takes you to the picture. Above the picture is a previous, home, and next button. This home page button takes you to the photo album not my actual site's home page. I renamed the file created by fireworks from index to pictures because I already had an index file. I believe that is what is causing the problem but I do not know how to change the link locations because like I said they do not show up in design view.

IPhone 4 camera and photo application not working!!

My iphone 4 camera and photo applications do not work anymore. When I tried to take a picture, the camera froze. I turned off my phone and when i turned it back on, the app will load, but when i tap to take the picture it returns to the home screen. The picture library application does the same thing. I try to load my picture library and when I tap to open it, it returns to the home screen.
I have tried turning it off and on multiple times and also turned it off for an extended period of time and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions on what the problem could be or possible ways to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Tap Settings App>General>Reset, near bottom of list>Reset All Settings. If this does not help you could try a Restore with iTunes, and when asked at end Set Up as New. If this does not help and you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

Messages and Photo Booth not working properly

I've been having a problem with my Messages and Photo Booth applications, as well as a bunch of other Apple applications.
Messages won't let me switch conversations, Photo Booth won't let me click the video recording option, iMovie just won't work and GarageBand won't let me edit compositions. I've tried restarting my computer, but that didn't help (although my computer ran faster).
I also can't close the application without having to actually quit the application instead of clicking the x button.
Help would be gladly appreciated!

You can also try setting up another user account.
Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Desktop software links and menu does not work

Hi,
i have a blackberry bold 9000 and installed the latest desktop software 4.6 from the blackberry website.
my device manager says connected. but if i start desktop manager, i don't see the main header menu (there is just nothing, where the text menu should be) and the icons in the main window does not work as links. there is no connection to anything.
i have uninstalled all blackberry software and installed it new. i have installed several runtime environments manually, including java and c++. but that makes no difference at all.
what could be the problem? what runtime is necessary and should working correctly for blackberry desktop manager software? do i need some tweaks in internet explorer security settings (active scripting or something like that) ?

Relative Links and Microsoft IIS not working, why?

I've searched high and low for the solution to this problem
and no one seems to give a definite answer.
I have a typical home server set up using Microsoft IIS on
Windows 2000 as a test server for websites.
The typical folder structure of the IIS is Inetpub >
wwwroot > content
Since I am working on multiple websites at a single time I
place my websites as such Inetpub > wwwroot > websiteFolder1
with multiple websites under wwwroot
Now I setup the dreamweaver sites with the root directory as
websiteFolder1 but when I go to use relative links, dreamweaver is
looking at the wwwroot level instead and the relative links won't
work. So incase that seems hard to understand when I have a css
file that is in Inetpub > wwwroot > websiteFolder1 >
library and I want to relatively link to it, dreamweaver is instead
of seeing websiteFolder1 as the main, it is starting with wwwroot
and that makes the file not found.
How do I get the relative links to see the folder under
wwwroot as the root directory instead of wwwroot?

You would have to set up virtual sites in your IIS
installation. Google

Photo gallery not working properly

Hi guys.
I built a site with an "albums" page that contained two photo albums. Upon publishing (non .mac) the page loads properly, all links work properly, however neither of the album photos are "active". I tried deleting the "albums" page and creating seperate "photo" pages, but am still having the same problem. Thumbnails are visible but are inactive, along with the slideshow button. Can anyone help me out?

LR1.3 sRAW and Photo Downloader not working?

Hi,
Anyone else having problems with 40D sRAW files? When I import them they have a green cast - even converting to greyscale still leaves them with a green cast. In fact the grey channel in the histrogram display is suddenly green as well.
Also, Photo Downloader detects when I insert a card, Lightroom opens but the import window doesn't appear.
Any ideas on either of these?

Well I don't think it's anything to do with my monitor profile but I've discovered that it is linked to the Photo Downloader bug. If I run LR and import normally then the files are fine. If I let Photo Downloader open LR and then import (because Photo Downloader doesn't start the process) the files are corrupted. If I then quit LR and open it up again the files look ok. So it's not a fatal bug but there's certainly something broken with importing files.
Here's a couple of screen grabs that show the problem.
This is the "colour" version of the show, note the strange green colour in the histogram.
Now a greyscale conversion, again the histogram is green when it should be grey.
The colour used in the histogram shouldn't have anything to do with the monitor profile, esp. in greyscale mode...

N8 Video Player and Photo Viewer not working prop...

Hi I just got a N8 a few months ago and its been going great until a month ago.
My video player is not displaying any the videos that I had on the phone or any of the videos I try putting on after. I then tried the photo viewer (it displays video as well for some reason) but that didn't have any of the videos and only some of my photos are being displayed.
I previously had the problem with the music player where it would be stuck on the music updating screen (not frozen) but I solved that by looking through the net and finding that you delete a certain file and it fixed that.

The problem is, I'm trying to find a solution to a whole host of other problems on my N97, e.g. The problems I'm having with GPS (Maps 2 and 3 are both currently unusable), the problems I'm having getting my widgets, email etc to detect which connection I need using etc, the problems I'm having with reception, the problems I'm having with my ringtone etc. So this photo viewer problem is just another issue to add to the list.
As for the Facebook App, if I take a picture using the camera link within the application, it won't let me upload anyway, so I've stopped using it. I just use the standard Facebook Mobile site as the Nokia Facebook App is so slow, it's borders on useless.

Itunes Match and Photo Share not working

Since upgrading to new ios software I am no longer able to connect at all to photo stream. Also, when I try to turn on itunes match, its spinning as if its downloading my music,but its telling me that I have no music in my library. But, my itunes match works on every other device...etc computer iphone. I tried to do a system restore, but I keep getting a message saying updated was not successful. Is anyone else having this problem?

This is an enormously frustrating issue and I am disappointed that it does not seem like Apple is taking it seriously, much less solving it. I have seen a lot of people desperate to help and I have tried many of the solutions that made sense to me (repair iTunes; create Windows Firewall Exceptions) and ignored the ones that make no sense whatsoever (reboot your Internet gateway; deauthorize your computers). I am on a Windows 7 x64 machine fully patched, single 8 core CPU with 24GB RAM and 6TB of storage - it ain't the machine...
This seems to be a unique problem to iTunes 10.5. Here is why I believe this to be true:
1. I disabled WFW No result.
2. I created WFW exceptions NO result at all.
3. I did a repair install of iTunes - Actually worked for one night.
4. Uninstalled iTunes 10.5. Installed iTunes 10.4 and everything works like a champ.
Apple needs to solve this issue, I'm afraid until they do anything that gets you up and running is temporary. In any case getting a consumer oriented click-to-install application should not require a project plan and customizations to work properly. This is true even if WFW needs tweaking that simply tells me they didn't test their installer enough to ensure it properly configured WFW, including removing erroneous entries...not an issue on my machine...
I am standing by for Apple to sort this out...until then 10.4 is my friend.
