    Hello,
    I'm trying to display a select list from query on a manual tabular form. I'm using a collection to store the data. I can't seem to get the query to work. I can display the item as a text item. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Elizabeth.

    I got so frustrated I started over. I'm following the how to create a manual form.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/tabular_form.html#MANUAL
    The problem I'm now having is even though I display items as hidden, there is a column holder on the report for them. If I go into the report attributes and toggle the show attribute off I cannot reference an items value in my logic. I used /&nbsp/ for the column heading but I still get the little sort arrow where the column heading should be. I tried to toggle the sort attribute off but the sort arrow still shows up. How can I use the apex_item.hidden and not get a place holder for the column on a report? Thanks, Elizabeth
    Here is the code I'm using to generate the report:
    select x.ceah_people_lang_id,
    x.language_id,
    x.proficiency,
    x.ceah_people_id
    from (
    select apex_item.hidden(1,ceah_people_lang_id) ceah_people_lang_id,
    apex_item.select_list_from_query(2,language_id,'select language_name, language_id from foreign_language') language_id,

  • Trouble using pipelined function in an select list lov query

    I'm trying to use a pipelined function in a select list lov query but i cet the error
    "LOV query is invalid, a display and a return value are needed, the column names need to be different. If your query contains an in-line query, the first FROM clause in the SQL statement must not belong to the in-line query."
    my query is as follows :
    SELECT gt.navn d, gt.GEOGRAPHY_TYPE_ID r
    FROM GEOGRAPHY_TYPE gt
    WHERE gt.kode NOT IN (1)
    and gt.kode in (select lov_value from table(RAPPORT_FILTER_PKG.GET_RAPPORT_FILTER_VALUE_PIP (
    SYS_CONTEXT ('rapport_filter_ctx','filter_id'),'GEOGRAPHY_TYPES')) )
    ORDER BY gt.navn DESC
    if i use a discrete values '80' instead of the call to
    SYS_CONTEXT ('rapport_filter_ctx','filter_id')
    i don't get eny errors, but then the LOV isn't as dynamic as i has to be
    any idears???

    nope that doesn't do it either
    contains a syntax errror at
    SYS_CONTEXT (('rapport_filter_ctx',:P500_RAPPORT_FILTER_ID),'GEOGRAPHY_TYPES'))
    my theory is that it's got something to do with the way APEX binds values because
    the query
    SELECT gt.navn d, gt.GEOGRAPHY_TYPE_ID r
    FROM GEOGRAPHY_TYPE gt
    WHERE gt.kode NOT IN (1)
    and gt.kode in (select r from table(RAPPORT_FILTER_PKG.GET_RAPPORT_FILTER_VALUE_PIP ('80','GEOGRAPHY_TYPES')) )
    ORDER BY gt.navn DESC
    works fine in both TOAD and in APEX but as soon as i replace th '80' with :P500_RAPPORT_FILTER_ID then, apex won't accept the code??????

  • List of all objects authorized for standard abap role

    Hi all,
    Can any body help me to get " List of all objects authorized for standard abap role "
    And List of all objects authorized for "admin role".
    Thanks
    Basu

    See the database security guide http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/network.111/b28531/authorization.htm#BABFHBFH
    Finding Information About User Privileges and Roles
    This section discusses the system views that have the grant information.
    The tricky part of this is that because roles can be granted to other roles the data is hierarchical.
    So start with the grants made to the FDIREADR role. So referring to the doc above;
    select * from role_role_privs where role = 'FDIREADR'will list the roles granted to your role.
    You will want to look at ROLE_ROLE_PRIVS, ROLE_TAB_PRIVS and ROLE_SYS_PRIVS.
    I suggest you walk thru the views manually to see how the information is related. Then write a test script that queries the views for you.

  • How to add drop down list for query manager report in sap business one

    Hi Every one,
    I need drop down list for parameter selection in sap business one Query Manager.I have two Parameters 'Sales Order','Invoice'.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks and Regards
    DEV

    Hi,
    you need to use this :
    /*select from [dbo].[OINV] T2*/
    DECLARE @Invoice varchar(100)
    /*where*/
    set @Invoice =/* T2.DocNum  */N'[%2]'
    you can change the tables and the parameter number but you have to write it exactly that way.
    when you run the query within the SBO you will get list of objects ( in this case list of invoices)
    hope it was helpful

  • Content type, list definition and List instance - query

    Dear all,
    I created a list content type, list definition and list instance for a SessionsList.
    I did mistake when created a event receiver file where field name is RegistrationsInfo - did typo error as RegistrationInfo. This field I want to make it as false in the ShowInNewForm= false
    When I deploy it with event receiver file - I am getting stack trace error stating that the RegistrationsInfo field is missing.
    Without event receiver file - when I deploy the solution and checked the field name - it is showing rightly as RegistrationsInfo.

    Can somebody help me - how to overcome the RegistrationsInfo missing field - error(in the stack trace) when activating the feature in the training site?
    Thanks
    Sathya

    Hi Sathya,
    Seems the field “RegistrationsInfo” is not been found when deploying with Event Receiver, a possible reason is that it might be damaged.
    As a workaround, I suggest you retract the solution from your farm, make sure the “RegistrationsInfo” field is deleted using PowerShell, then create another project with the same
    content and perform the deployment again.
    About how to delete a field using PowerShell for your reference:

    Feel free to reply if there any progress.
    Thanks

  • Select list from query in report

    Hello everybody,
    I want to include a select list from a query in a report's colomn, but the select list should only be displayed conditionally. I wanted to do this with the help of "case when" in the corresponding SQL statement.
    The select list itsself works, but when I combine it with "case when" I always get the error message:
    ORA-01427: single-row subquery returns more than one row
    The select statement is as following:
    select
    htmldb_item.checkbox(1,rownum) " ",
    x.idee,
    x.stunden_ilp,
    x.stunden_ild,
    x.stunden_ilm,
    x.stunden_ief,
    x.stunden_ir,
    x.pe_id,
    x.l_art_id,
    x.version_id
    from (
    select
    (select case
    when (select name from cn_pl_projektidee s01
    where s01.idee_id = '2') IS NULL then
    (select distinct htmldb_item.select_list_from_query(5,name,'select distinct name from cn_pl_projektidee') name from cn_pl_projektidee s01
    where s01.idee_id = t1.idee_id)
    else
    (select distinct htmldb_item.text(5,name) name from cn_pl_projektidee s01
    where  s01.idee_id = t1.idee_id)
    END from cn_pl_std_peplanung t1) Idee,
    from cn_pl_std_peplanung t1, cn_pl_projektelemente z1, cn_pl_version u1, cn_pl_projektidee s1
    where t1.version_id = '&P6_VERSION_WAHL.'
    and t1.pe_id ='&P6_HELP_PRODET.'
    and t1.l_art_id ='&P6_L_ART_ID.'
    group by t1.pe_id, t1.version_id, t1.idee_id, t1.l_art_id) x
    order by x.ideeDoes anybody know what could be the problem or what other solutions I could try??
    Greetings!
    Patrick

    Found 2 ways to solve it:
    *1. dynamic action (JQuery)*
    $("#f20_1234 option[value=13]").attr('selected', 'selected');
    *2. process*
    BEGIN
    HTP.p('<script type="text/javascript">');
    --HTP.p('problem()');
    HTP.p('html_SetSelectValue(''f20_903'',188)');
    HTP.p('html_SetSelectValue(''f20_903'',189)');
    HTP.p('</script>');
    END;

  • Drop Down List in Query Selection Screen Takes Long Time.

    I open a report, refresh the query and get a selection screen. But when clicked on the drop down list it takes 4- 5 mins for displaying the drop down options.
    How can I speed up the displaying of drop down list in selection screen?
    Could any one please help regarding the setting to enable this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I guess there is a setting to look up the master data tables or use the dimension,which would speed up the time that it takes to display the drop down selections
    Do you have any idea about the setting?
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
    you can do these settings in info object level.
    Go to info object : Select Business Explorer Tab
    Option is : Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn  : here you can specify info provider.
    Plz assign points if it is useful.

  • List Component - Query

    Hi all,
    I have a list component and I have set up initial query in advance search, which generates the listing of the articles.
    Now I am planning to add a search box and upon providing the new search text I would like to search again and utilizing same list component I would like to display new result list.
    I looked a the init.jsp and found the place where I think it executes the initial query?
    I tried to override source and query string but it is not taking an effect.  Also I am not able to find the jar for "com.day.cq.wcm.foundation.List", I wanted to decompile and wanted to see how querys are executed.
    List list = new List(slingRequest, new PageFilter());
    list.setQuery("Test");
    list.setSource("search");
    Any pointers would be helpful!
    Thanks in advance.

    I am workiing on a similiar workflow for an upcoming artilce that dicusses how to query the AEM CQ JCR: http://scottsdigitalcommunity.blogspot.ca/2013/02/querying-adobe-experience-manager-data.h tml .
    This sample app queries the JCR for customer data, supports filtering, and displays the result set in a grid contol located in the client:
    Although this article will not be posted until Feb 23 --I can provide a few pointers. Like most workflows in computer science -- you can  perform a task in more than 1 way. I find that you get more power when you wrap the JCR Query Manager API within an OSGi component and develop the service to expose an operation that queries the JCR and returns the result set.
    You can return the result set to the client and display the data in a web page - similiar to the pic above. Of course -- you can do the same workflow using sling -- its a matter of preferece IMHO. I prefer to develop OSGi services to do the heavy lifting and let the client call the service and display the data.
    For example - to call the OSGI service from a client:
    com.adobe.aem.CustomerService cs = sling.getService(com.adobe.aem.CustomerService .class);
    String XML = cs.getCustomerData(filter) ;
    In this workflow -- the query results are stored in an XML DOM and returned to the client -- where the data is parsed and displayed. The complete artilce will be posted next Fri.
    Here is a snippet of the backend Java logic that is wrapped in the OSGi and queries the JCR that is called from the client:
    public Document getCustomerData(String filter) {
                        Customer cust = null;
                         List<Customer> custList = new ArrayList<Customer>();
                        try {
                           Session session = this.repository.loginAdministrative(null);
                           // Obtain the query manager for the session ...
                     javax.jcr.query.QueryManager queryManager = session.getWorkspace().getQueryManager();
                     //Setup the query based on user input -- 3 options are   All Customers,
                     //Active Customer or Past Customer
                     String sqlStatement="";
                               //Setup the query to get all corresponding customer nodes -- which are of node type nt:unstructured
                     if (filter.equals("All Customers"))
                               sqlStatement = "SELECT * FROM [nt:unstructured] WHERE CONTAINS(desc, 'Customer')";
                     else if(filter.equals("Active Customer"))
                                         sqlStatement = "SELECT * FROM [nt:unstructured] WHERE CONTAINS(desc, 'Active')";
                     else if(filter.equals("Past Customer"))
                                        sqlStatement = "SELECT * FROM [nt:unstructured] WHERE CONTAINS(desc, 'Past')";
             //Execute the query and get the results ...
                     javax.jcr.query.Query query = queryManager.createQuery(sqlStatement,"JCR-SQL2");
                     javax.jcr.query.QueryResult result = query.execute();
                     //Iterate over the nodes in the results ...
                     javax.jcr.NodeIterator nodeIter = result.getNodes();
                     while ( nodeIter.hasNext() ) {
                                              //For each node-- create a customer instance
                                              cust = new Customer();
                                              javax.jcr.Node node = nodeIter.nextNode();
                                              //Set all Customer object fields
                                              cust.setCustFirst(node.getProperty("firstName").getString());
                                              cust.setCustLast(node.getProperty("lastName").getString());
                                              cust.setCustAddress(node.getProperty("address").getString());
                                              cust.setCustDescription(node.getProperty("desc").getString());
                                              //Push Customer to the list
                                              custList.add(cust);
                     // Save the session changes and log out
                           session.save();
                           session.logout();
         //Return the customer data within an XML DOM
                           return toXml(custList);
                  catch(Exception e)
                             e.printStackTrace();
                  return null;
    Hope this helps..

  • BEX problem: F4 help to filter values of F4 value list at query execution

    Hi all,
    description of the problem we face:
    at query execution the selection pop-up appears and "ask" for values. To select those values I try the F4 button and receive a long list of e.g. vendors. (Our vendors are compounded to a special characteristic due to several sources.) To select now several individual values from the list I choose the filter button and try to shorten the list by searching with values of the atributes, here by 0NAME of the vendor. From the result shown I choose one value compounded to a unique value of the special characteristic, there are values for vendors which are the same, but  with different compound values and of course different meanings.
    When I mark one vendor value shown with his compounded value in front of the row, I expect the compounded value will be transferred to the selection pop-up too, but it won't!!
    Only the vendor is transferred, so the result of the query shows more information then wanted.
    Any solutions for this?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi Guido,
    I dont know any direct solution to your problem, a workaround is
    May be add a variable on the Special characterstics, and ask users to enter the Special character also along with your Vendor Code.
    As while selecting the vendor user already know special charater value, then can just enter it in Selection screen and restrict the output.
    Thanks
    CK
