List User and Bus Area

Question

I need to produce some reports on the USERS and the BUSINESS AREAS that they have access to. Does anyone have help finding these queries.

Hi Brad,
There is no indication in your post of whether you are in an Oracle Apps or non-Oracle Apps implementation of Discoverer. Assuming you are in an Oracle Apps implementation, I suspect you are interested in both users whom have been shared the business area directly and users whom have been shared because they have been granted a responsibility. Here is a query for an Oracle Apps environment where you obtain a list of users whom have been shared the b.a. directly:
select distinct
(select fu.user_name
from apps.fnd_user fu
where fu.user_id = usrs.usr_id
) shared_with_user_name,
ba.ba_name
from
(select eu.eu_id,
to_number(regexp_substr(eu.eu_username,'[[:digit:]]+',1,1)) usr_id
from eul_us.eul5_eul_users eu
) usrs ,
eul_us.eul5_access_privs privs ,
eul_us.eul5_bas ba
where privs.ap_type ='GBA'
and privs.ap_eu_id ; =usrs.eu_id
and privs.gba_ba_id =ba.ba_id
order by upper(ba.ba_name);
Of course, with this query you will need to replace "eul_us" with your eul owner name and this query assumes you are in eul5. You can obtain this same information from the "Discoverer V5 EUL" business area.
