Listener not showing services.

I have a RAC setup with two nodes.
When i check the status of main node,it is showing services but remote node is showing no services.
On Node 1

Hi All,
I am using oracle gateway 11g and here I just discovered that the one of the database listener not showing the instance for the informix gatways, though it has already configured. whereas on other database , the listner is showing the instances for informix database. it was running fine few days back though.
would appriciate , if you coule let me know that why it suddenly stop responding ?

thanks all, I was able to solve the issue. it was indeed a port no , which caused this issue.

Lsnrctl services does not show service XE - new install of Oracle Express

It's a time-consuming and problematic installation of Oracle Express 11g, but for the moment just one question: why isn't service XE showing up in lsnrctl services? Here's that output, with Service XE missing:

Well, I think this is progress, attempting to connect in sqlplus gives the error I had in SQL Developer when I had service XE showing up in lsnrctl services (that was the 2nd installation, now on the 3rd)

Yes, I should be OK with 127.0.0.1, both client and server are my home PC. Thanks for the idea of testing with no listener.ora at all - I renamed and moved listener.ora, for this interesting result: in sqlplus I either get the same ORA-01034 and ORA-27101, or 2 pages of a sqlplus help file, depending on the logon syntax used. I'm sure that's user error. In SQL Developer New Database Connection Test I get ORA-12514.
I've been closely following the thread from Marco ORA-01034 , ORA-27101 in windows Domain, and have learned a lot from you, Srini and TSharma. I think I'm leaning towards the possibility of a bad install. Task Manager shows process oracle.exe running (this may not mean much) and Services shows all the Oracle services Started. I don't know enough to interpret what I'm seeing for oracle.exe in Windows Process Explorer, although it looks like something is running. But suppose, hypothetically, that it was a bad installation, how would I test that?
Looking at the log files, I'm seeing clsc1.log is nearly identical to what Marco reported in that other thread:

This may be another clue, the listener log file has this after a SQL Developer New Database Connection Test (test of Connection Type TNS + Network Alias XE, XE shows up just fine in the dropdown). My computer name is newamptron, and that host_addr IP is my DSL provider. Note the completely random port 2051. Essentially same message data with or without listener.ora in place.

TMS not showing Service Preference from Telepresence Server (Using TPConductor)

Hi everyone
Hope you can help me with an issue I'm having implementing a Telepresence solution using Cisco UCS.
We already configure the TMS, Telepresence Server and Telepresence Conductor (all of them on virtual machines using Cisco UCS) using this guide.

We are facing issues when creating a conference alias. We configure the Alias on the Telepresence Conductor (Cisco Support tell us that Telepresence Server using virtual machines are only manage by the conductor), also we create the Service Preference.
But when we create the alias on the TMS, the Service Preference that we create on the conductor are not shown. We don't know why, or what we need to do to achieve this.
Someone can help us with this? we reinstall all over again and same issue.

Because you referenced the TMS 14.6 and Conductor XC3.0 deployment guide, that you're also using TelePresence Server 4.1 and those are your software versions.
Can you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing, or not seeing to best understand the issue?
Have you configured Conductor and the TPS to work together, configuring everything on the Conductor per the appropriate configuration guides linked here for your type of environment (CUCM or VCS)? Making sure you have configured the following:
Service Preference
Service Preference marked for scheduling
Conference Bridge Pool
Conference Template
Conference Alias
I believe the service preference doesn't appear in TMS until you add the alias, and the service preference the alias uses in Conductor is marked for scheduling, however I can't check this at the moment to verify. Make sure the alias you're inserting into TMS is exactly the same on Conductor, as they have to match.

MD04 Does not show Service orders for owned equipment

Hi,
Is there a way to make MD04 - Material Stock Requirements List, to show a particular type service order? Our loaner equipment is owned by us and goes through Repair after it comes back from a customer. We create service orders for those materials and when running MD04 we would like to see those service orders as supplies.

Unfortunately, third party purchase orders have nothing to do with my issue. My case is service orders, repair orders for the materials we own. MD04 shows requirements as these loaners are going out to customers on customer repair orders. When they get back they get repaired and put back into our own stock and then shipped to another customer on a loaner program. If the service order is scheduled to be completed we would like to know how many are coming back into stock and make decisions based on requirements in MD04. Therefore, I would like to have MD04 show those service orders as supplies.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with your iPhone 4s in regards to audio.
The following resource may provide a solution:

1. Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
2. Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
3. If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
4. Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
5. If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
6. If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
- Try turning off Bluetooth.
- If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
7. Restart the iPhone.

This makes no sense. You don't configure a listener nor a tnsnames.ora "in a database".   I hope this is just a language issue and not reflective of a fundamental misunderstanding of how tns works.

In every oracle documentation for e.g:11.2 Scan and Node TNS Listener Setup Examples [ID 1070607.1] we found the local listener status showing both local-ip and vip. Why is not showing in our case? What to do?

*1)In 11gR2 RAC I found that listener.ora is used from grid_home and there is no i/p, port no etc. Just key is present . But the status o/p shows ips,hots,ports. Does the oraagent process picks up those information from crs?*

Try another Sync. On occasions, I've know a first Sync to behave like this.

Background pictures do not show up on Singsnap when I open a song to listen to.

When I click on a song to listen to on the site "Singsnap" some of the users have put pretty background pictures on their site but all I see is plain white, the background does not show up....It also does not show up on IE but it shows up beautifully on Google Chrome......Is there some setting I have disabled or what......The HTML is enabled...

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

I have found a fix after doing additional research through this forum. Tech Note #328730 addresses this problem and it works for Photoshop Album 3.2 even though it was written for release 1.0.

When using this fix the Tech Note indicates:
"Imported image data and tags are lost when you re-create the My Catalog.psa file, so you need to reimport images and reapply any tags"
however it did retain the captions (at least it did for me).

BSP does not show up after installation of service pack 9 on BW 7.0

Hi,
We are working on netweaver 2004s.
We have a very simple BSP page, which has been developed in BW box. Its just used to load flat files to the application server.
It was working well when we were at service pack 8. Recently we have installed service pack 9 and this BSP page either through portal or directly in web-browser does not show up at all i.e all we see is a blank page and the status bar of the browser keeps running forever.
Could you please advise what has gone wrong and is there a fix to this.
Note: other 2 BSP pages in the same BW system are working fine.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I activated the BSP page and re-tested but it does not work.
When I activate in SE80, I get the message 'Active object generated'.
When I run it through portal or web-browser ... it does not show any message but the status bar of the browser keeps moving .... forever, indicating its doing something.
There are other 2 BSP pages which are working fine, but this BSP page ( which is the most important) is giving this porblem.

Account Dimension not showing all members in the cube in Analysis Services

Hi,
         In SAP - BPC 5.1 after processing account dimension all the members are created under account dimension in analysis services but the same cannot be found in the data cube. Hence the reports generated through SAP - BPC is not showing all the members.
         The issue looks very strange as we can see the members getting created but the same is not getting populated in the cubes. I am not able to visualize what exacly the issue is? Is it with the application or with the analysis services?

Your sixth sense is correct, there is definitely support in MSAS and BPC 5.1 for multiple hierarchies in the account dimension.
I'm also referring to parentH1 and parentH2, but perhaps we're still speaking of different things.
In the past, I faced a very similar problem as you, and the root cause was because I had one member, let's call it FancyParent, which, in H1, had children Child1 and Child2.
But in H2 it had children Child1, Child2 and Child3. I forget now if that was how I wanted the setup to be, or if it was a mistake on my part, but either way, MSAS doesn't allow this. The admin consol didn't complain when processing the dimension -- this was in Outlooksoft 5.0; perhaps validation has improved now.
But the cube was completely unworkable. Certain things were calculating correctly, but everything in the account dimension in the area around FancyParent (above and below it, in both hierarchies) was quite unpredictable.
By disabling first one, and then the other, of the two hierarchies, and disabling blocks of accounts, I was eventually able to pinpoint the problem. But it took days to figure out what was the problem. (The account dimension had 2500 members and 4 hierarchies, and it was not a pretty sight.)
A parent must have the same definition of children in all hierarchies. It can't, as another example, have children in H1, and be a base member in H2. Each member can have different parents in the two hierarchies, but must always have the same children in both.
To work around this problem, I had to create two separate accounts NetIncomeH1 and NetIncomeH2 (and PretaxIncomeH1, PretaxIncomH2, etc. all the way down to the point where they branched off), to get the two separate aggregations of the P&L in the two hierarchies. Once I did that, it made sense to me why, but I also swore off on frivolous extra hierarchies ever again.

Service monitoring is not showing all the services when i create a service monitor under Management pack templates.

I am using SCOM 2007 R2 CU4 in my environment. I want to do a service monitoring on specific agents. When i try creating this service monitor which comes under the Management pack template when i select the service which i want to monitor it does not
show all the services in the drop down.
For example - I have Windows audio service which is present on the machine, But it is not showing in the service list.
So from the services stating from "W" i see only 5 in SCOM and in services.msc in the Agent i see more than 5.
Below is the screen shot.

So based on your above suggestion, If the services are already managed / monitored by a specific
management pack those services will not appear here in the Wizard while creating this type of a Management pack object alert right ?
If that is the case why does not the same reflect here in the operations console in the Services monitor

Web Service in Document Template Designer not showing

Hi,
I'm trying to create a new document template but the dropdown list is not showing any results even though we have web services that are active and productive.
If I enter the name manually I am getting a "Please enter a valid Service definition name" error message.
Has anybody seen this issue before?

Hi,
I was also getting same error once...However i was able to see my web service definition in F4. Selecting from F4 list was working fine but if i entered the name mannually, i was getting the same message as you got...may be its a Bug..
Just to assist you, Have to activated the webservice from SICF before going for deployment using template or Adobe ?
Just check if you have maintained the webservice in SICF.
