LiveCycle JBoss Non-Turnkey Installation: Running as Service

Hi All,
I have installed LiveCycle on Jboss using Manual Installation. I was trying to run the JBoss as Service, can anyone guide me how to get the JBoss run as Service?

I fixed this by following the below approach:
With the Turnkey option, there is an exe file "JBossService.exe". I executed the above file from "InstallJBossService.bat". I modified the batch file to point to the jboss folder to my installation.
With this I was able to get the JBoss as a service. The only thing I didnt understand is the batch file has a parameter "-shutdown 180", does this parameter specify anything about shutting down Jboss instance after a specified time.
Anybody please confirm on this.

Problem running web service on Turnkey 8.0.1 LiveCycle server

Greetings:
I need assistance in locating a problem on a turnkey installation of 8.0.1.
I am trying to get a new installation of this code base running to provide an environment that matches some of my clients.
The server runs, and I can log into all of the Administrator pages, etc.
The scenario is I create a new process in Workbench 8, that for now just rights to the server log.
I create a new PDF document, and add a data connection to my WSDL.
I try to invoke the service and get the message "Error attempting to read from file".
If I have security enabled on the service via the AdminUI, I get no messages in the server log.
If I disable security for the service, I see the following in the server log:

I have been able to get the web service to fire.
The process is dying trying to send e-mail using the SendEmailService.
It generates an exception of type "Exception" - flows thru an "Execute Script" that dumps text to the log file, then blow off with this:

Turnkey Installation fails to start JBoss service

I'm installing the Turnkey LiveCycle on a PC running Windows Vista.
The LiveCycle Configuration Manager fails with the error:
Service startup failed for: JBoss for Adobe LiveCycle ES
If I try and manually start the service from Windows, I get this:
"The JBoss for Adobe LiveCycle ES service started than stopped."
Running JBossService.exe from the command prompt does nothing - it just returns to the prompt with no error message.
However, if I go the bin directory and execute 'run.bat', the server starts fine - I can access the configuration pages from my web browser on localhost:8080
It seems to be a problem with the wrapper that makes it into a Windows service.
Any ideas of how I can get fix this?

I found it was a 64bit Windows issue. The 'JBossService.exe' which is really a copy of 'JavaService' needs to be replaced with a version compiled for 64 bit Windows.
I used the file from "JavaService-2.0.7.64.zip".

Unable to connect to the Livecycle Server in CM (Non Turnkey Install)

As per the guide, I performed the following steps in the non turnkey install of LiveCycle
1) Installed the JDK 1.5.0_11
2) Copied the Jboss 4.0.3 folder from the install folder to C:\jboss
3) Created the datasource and JMS for Oracle
4) Installed the Liveycle solution components
5) Ran the Config Mgr only to configure LC
6) Copied the EAR fileds from C:\Adobe\LiveCycle8.2\ConfigurationManager\export\ to C:\jboss\..\all\deploy
7) Restarted Jboss
In the next step I when I the Config Mgr to deploy the components, I am asked to verify the connected. This is where I am stuck and I am unable to proceed. I used administrator/password as the login.
I get the following error:
"Failed to connect to the service container. Livecycle container information or login information may be invalid or the server is not running or accessible."
As this is the first install the logins are default. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Can someone please help ?

Where is the PDF3dAddin.dll Windows jBoss turnkey installation?

In the Windows 32bits LiveCycle ES 8.2.1 JBoss turnkey installation can´t find the file
[LiveCycle8.2 root]
so I can´t find the Generate3dPDFService ....is this a bug?\plugins\x86win32\PDF3dAddin.dll

Make sure you are using one of the later service packs.
I also recommend moving off of 5.1 as it will be EOL next year.

JBoss Turnkey installation mysql error & uninstallation

Hi,
Im trying to install LiveCycle ES JBoss (turnkey) on a windows 2003 server (VM) system.
At first attempt the OS regional options were not set to English; --it was Turkish which causes problems with the capital i letter-- so the installation froze.
After killing the setup, I changed the regional options to English and restarted the machine. But on all the following attempts Ive got a bootstrap error on the configurationManager step initializing lc database.
The root cause of the error in the logs is the following SQL statement which contains capital i letters with dots. (İ instead of I).
execute non-query failure(create unique index DOMAİN on EDCPRİNCİPALDOMAİNENTİTY(domainname))
Before all retries Ive uninstalled LC Server with JBOSS and MYSQL options. But I think something remains, and the problem is always reproduced.
Below the post, I pasted the full stack trace of the error in JBOSS logs.
Any ideas, suggestions will be appreciated.

After uninstalling LiveCycle to insure the installation was complete, check to see that the Jboss for Livecycle ES and MySQL for Livecycle ES are no longer present and that the installation folder is completely deleted.

it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.

Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I would like to know where I will be able to download a non click to run version of Skype for Business when it is released tomorrow. I need the normal installer because I need to turn off the feature, 'Microsoft Sharepoint Foundation Support' as it breaks

Adding jboss web-console to turnkey installation

I'm using the turnkey installation and need advanced jboss configuration (e.g. a second datasource).
Is there a way to add the jboss web-console?

Hi Michael,
What we did was we removed these from our turnkey. We did this to have more secured default install for our less technical customers.
The way to get these back is to download JBoss 4.0.3SP1 from the JBoss site and to copy the two console directories back into the correct deploy locations, this will be fairly obvious when you look at the all configuration between the Adobe preconfigured tree and the one you download from JBoss.

Livecycle ES 8.2 installation help

Hi,
I am trying to install LivecycleES 8.2 on Windows vista HomePremium 64-bit,4gb RAM downloaded from Adobe website.
JBoss Application Server 4.0.3SP1
MySQL Database 5.0.18
MySQL JDBC driver 3.1.2
java_ee_sdk-5_01-windows
I ran through the Turnkey installation just fine but when i click on configuration manager, it gives a pop-up saying Failed to fetch (ACL-LCM-000-020).
Please let me know the steps to install.

I haven't done this since my work pc is XP but am considering doing it at home since I've got an i7 system running Vista SP1 Home Premium 64-Bit Edition.

ECM Connector + Turnkey Installation - Error with MySQL (NoClassDefFoundError)

Twice I have installed LiveCycle ES for JBoss Using Turnkey (following the documentation)... W2K3 Server, 2GB RAM, 32GB Hard Drive, Java 1.5.0.15.
The core services work good, but it's ECM Connector for Documentum that throws up an error. (Snippets of the server.log below)
I searched for aspectj.org namespace and it belongs to MySql. Am I supposed to copy a jar file somewhere? I searched the docs but couldn't find any mention.
Odd enough, the sample ECM Documentum Connector Services work, it's the standard ones that don't (Authentication, Connector, etc)

When I click start, I get internal error and server.log fills up with the class not found errors.
Any insight you could provide would great helpful.

Using j2se 1.4.2_04, turnkey installation works perfectly.

Error during turnkey installation

Hi all!
I'm trying to installa Adobe Workflow Server, but using the turnkey
installation I received an error message. What can I do to solve this
installation problem?
I'm using Windows 2003 Server and the Jboss and MySql provided with AWS.

Single Server Weblogic LC turnkey installation

Can someone please point out to the Turnkey installation for LC, for single server Weblogic install?

Unfortunately, this is not something someone can just point you to. What is recommended is for you to download the WebLogic-specific LiveCycle binaries, run the installer and choose the "turnkey" option.
