Lm-sensors: match up reported temps to physical stuff on the board

I've got lmsensors up and running on my DFI LP LT P35-T2R motherboard.  I think I can figure out what most of the data are but there are some that I don't really understand.
I am currently using Handbrake to encode some video files so the temps should be up:

Core 3: +50.0°C (high = +76.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Obviously the coretemp-iso-000x data are the temps for cores0-3.
My questions are what physical component of the system are the following measuring:
1) "Adapter: Virtual device temp1:       +36.0°C  (crit = +64.0°C)"
2) "temp1:       +36.0°C  (low  = +127.0°C, high = +64.0°C)  sensor = thermal diode"
3) "temp2:       +39.0°C  (low  = +127.0°C, high = +64.0°C)  sensor = thermistor"
4) "temp3:       +43.0°C  (low  = +127.0°C, high = +64.0°C)  sensor = thermistor"
One of those should be the northbridge temp, and one of those should be the CPU temp as it's reported in the BIOS (not temp of the cores).  What are the other two and how can I know for sure which is which?

Sorry to bump an old post but I'm having the same problem. The examples I see here on this board save for the one above me all have CPU Temp or Sys Temp next to the values. I just have temp1, temp2, temp3. I assume I have 8 coretemps because my i7 is quad-core but with hyperthreading. But I don't know for sure. Also where is my gpu temp? All I see is the cpu0_vid voltage and I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be 0. Plus I have lots of ALARMs and I'm not sure why. The fan alarms I understand because my case fans have manual switches on the case and aren't hooked to the mobo. The setup is a asus p6t mobo, intel i7 cpu, nvidia gtx-260 vcard.
My sensors output is:

I have modprobed the modules successfully, added the modules to rc, and added "sensors" to my daemons.
This is my lm_sensors:

# BUS_MODULES for any required bus driver module (for example for I2C or SPI).
HWMON_MODULES="adt7473 coretemp max6650 w83627ehf"

  • Hyper-V cluster validation report "Found duplicate physical address" on nic team interfaces.

I recently built a Windows 2012 Hyper-V cluster with 5 nodes. The validation report shows “duplicate physical address” error (error text pasted below).
The hardware: HP BladeSystem – servers are BL460c blades, in a c7000 enclosure, connected to HP Virtual Connect switches.
Each server has 2 physcal nics, teamed in Windows. In the NIC Teaming console, I created the following Team Interfaces and assigned each a VLAN ID:
    “Team1” (the default team)
    “Team1 - VLAN 204 – Management”
    “Team1 - VLAN 212 - 2012HB”
    “Team1 - VLAN 211 -Exchange DAG Replication”
I also created 2 HV Virtual Switches. Neither one allows management interface to share. They are assigned to “Team1” and “Team1 - VLAN 211 -Exchange DAG Replication” respectively.
Therefore, in Network Connection, I see the 2 physical Ethernet nics, and 4 “virtual” nics. Only 2 of them have IP addresses assigned: Management and HB. These are the two that the validation wizard complains
    about.
The MAC address is not configurable in the NIC Teaming console, so I don’t see a way to resolve this error, except to use separate physical nics. I don’t want to do that because a) I would lose the benefits of
the bandwidth aggregation that Virtual Connect provides, and b) When creating an Interface on a Team in Windows, it looks like it ALWAYS gives it the same MAC address, so that should be a supported configuration.
Everything works just fine, and there are no other errors or IP conflicts or anything else. But I really want to fix it because I don’t know what unknown problems this may be causing.
    From the Cluster Validation report:
Found duplicate physical address 10-60-4B-A9-4A-30 on node Cluster201.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 212 - 2012HB and node Cluster201.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 204 - Management.
Found duplicate physical address F0-92-1C-13-3C-2C on node Cluster202.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 212 - 2012HB and node Cluster202.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 204 - Management.
Found duplicate physical address 68-B5-99-C1-7E-9C on node Cluster210.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 212 - 2012HB and node Cluster210.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 204 - Management.
    Found duplicate physical address 3C-4A-92-DE-1E-74 on node Cluster211.OurDomain.local adapter VC-Team - VLAN 212 - 2012HB and node Cluster211.OurDomain.local adapter
    VC-Team - VLAN 204 - Management.
Found duplicate physical address 68-B5-99-C0-3D-50 on node Cluster212.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 212 - 2012HB and node Cluster212.OurDomain.local adapter
    Team1 - VLAN 204 - Management.
    Thanks!
    Dan

    Hi Dan,
"It turns out that both hosts had the same default MAC address ranges for their virtual switches. Since the host vNICs were attached to the virtual switch on each host they received the first couple of MAC addresses from the switches.
For details please refer to following link:

  • Datawarehouse query detail report result doesn't match summary report.

    Hello,
In our DW, we run a detail report query ( like below No. 1) , while in the summary report, in which the query is partially based on aggregated table T_AGG_UNC_GROSS (like below No.2), the query result doesn' match the query result of the details report. (supposed to match exactly)
To pick out the problem why summary report (like below NO.3) doesn't match details report. I put two filters in the details query with the filter is "year 2007", filter location is "California")
    I can get 295 selected.
while I put above two filters in summary report, get no row selected.
I suspect aggregation table has some problem (wrong aggregated).
Is there any method I can pick out the problem behind?
    thanks a lot in advance.

  • Do you trust the reported temps?

Just wondering who trusts their reported temps?
MBM5 is telling me my Case temp is -7°C, my CPU temp is 50°C.... this is a Winchester 3500+ OCed to 2.5GHz @ 1.55v
Speedfan says the core is at 49°C with a system temp of -7 °C also...
Core center says my CPU temp is 54°C and my System and NB temps are N/A
I am wondering if I can trust any of these temps... my CPU block (the copper that I can see) and the exposed part of the IHS on my A64 both feel COOL to the touch. I also notice that the higher my CPU temp goes, the lower my "system" temp goes.
I don't know, call me skeptical, but I think something is amiss... I have a Thermochill 120.2 radiator with 2xPanaflo 120x38MM fans, a DangerDen RBX, and a eheim 1250 pump... I think these temps are a hint high, and I dont know what the heck is up with the "system" temps...
Any thoughts or personal temps/readings are welcome...

    Hi nweibley
I feel your pain. the temp readings on mine are no better. winnie 3500 @2500MHZ 1.5V Core says its at 50C and so does Everest at full load- but when left for an hour and a cold boot and go staight into the bios and it says 40C no way, it was cool to the touch and the XP-90 never feels warm  and the Mobo temp is 15c and the system is 25C.
I have my PC in a cupboard with external venting (two 100mm tubes with two 92 mm fans exchanging the air)  for 'cool and quiet'.
as for the case a super 'lan boy' wih two 120mm vantac sheaths, case modded for better air flow
Its winter hear in UK below 10C so i should have the best air cooling setup rig without going for screemers and yet the CPU is hot - NO WAY
I had to RMA the CPU and whilst I was waiting a few weeks I put in my 2500Barton @2300MHz (non mobile) which in another case in same cupboard ran at 50C in winter and up tp 65C in summer. when put in my new case it ran 10-15C cooler so the case works
IMO the temp reading is far from accurate on these A64 it changes from mobo to mobo same manufacter and CPU to CPU and Bios to Bios
I think we both need a thermal probe

  • CSM 4.3 folder \mdc\reports\temp

    Hi All
My CSM folder <path to csm>\MDC\reports\temp\ is fairly filled up with some files. Currently 30'001 files with a size of 8.16 GB.
The new released SP1 has a fix for this:http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtz86266
I've installed the SP1 yesterday, but the folder is still not cleaned up/purged today.
Does anybody know if it's save to delete those files or if they get somewhen purged automatically?
    Thanks
    Pato

I have the same issue. Wait to see if any files are created or modified after the sp1 install date and if not then the fix is only addressing any files created by sp1. I'd be fairly comfortable with deletingthem. If things break then restore from backup

    Hi Rick,
According to your description, the exception “System.IO.IOException: The file exists.” is thrown out when you export the report on report manager.
Generally, the exception is thrown out because there are more than 65535 files without deleting previous temporary files in our temporary directory. Based on my research, it has reported the same issue when exporting the report on report manager, and deleting all
temp files from C:\Windows\Temp could resolve the issue. I would also suggest you remove the temporary files from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp. Please refer to the first comment at this link:
    System.IO.IOException: The file exists

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

I've developed a crystal report from a stored procedure which I wrote. I can execute the stored procedure within SQL Server and within the Crystal Reports designer without any errors. Furthermore, I have imported the report into sap and can run it within SAP from the server without any errors. SAP version 8.81 PL5
    The issue is that when it's run from a client machine, I get the following error: "Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: Database Vendor Code: 156. Error in the File RCR10010 {tempfile location}
Here's a list of things which I have tried, all to no avail:
    - Checked user permissions to ensure that they have proper authorizations
    - Re-set the datasource connection and re-imported the report to SAP.
    - Exported the report and reviewed the datasource connection and re-imported to SAP.
    - Tried to run the report on multiple machines to ensure that it's not machine specific
    - Tried to run the report using different users to ensure it's not user specific.
    - Tested other reports built from stored procedures on client machines to ensure that they work.
Any assistance in this would be GREATLY appreciated.
    Thank you

After further testing, we found that the report could be run within SAP on any work station which had the CR designer installed on it.
As it turns out, the procedure which I wrote has temp tables in it.  The runtimes built into the SAP client install do not support creating temp tables when executing the report from within SAP.  Which is why the report could not retreive data.
To work around this, I installed external runtimes which were the same version of the Crystal Report and now the report can be run within SAP from any workstation which has the external runtimes (and not just the runtimes within the SAP client).
    I hope this makes sense.

  • Hyperlink - The physical location in the page

When I export the A PDF file, how do I know the physical location of the hyperlink in the output page (coordinates)
I need to export from Indesign
    - Hyperlink physical location (# page & XY coordinates)
    TIA

I guess I'm misunderstanding the question, then.
I don't quite understand what you're trying to accomplish with this task. How does Excel factor into this? What value is it to have a report of x and y coordinates for an Acrobat page? This sounds like something you'd need for html coding, not a print document. If so, the pages should be exported as html pages, not Acrobat pdf files, from your original. I only ask because I have a feeling you might be creating way more work or expense for yourself than you need to be. The more information you can provide, the better advice you'll probably get.
If you need a report of x and y coordinates, I'm thinking Acrobat is the wrong application. It's not really a web design app. I don't have Dreamweaver here at my office, but I seem to remember that all that information is available if you open your pages in Dreamweaver, and there may be a way of extracting a report with just what you need. You might try asking your question on the Dreamweaver forum, if that's the route that makes more sense for what you're trying to do.

  • Interactive report's data not displaying on the edit form.

I have an interactive report that contains 3 rows. When I click on the edit button next to one of these rows, the edit form displays the data from that row.
But when I click the edit buttons next to the other 2 report rows, I get an error message that states: "ORA-01403: no data found. Error Unable to fetch row."
I do not see why this is happening. The PK of the table involved is "Request Date", so the report's "Link Column" region sends the value "Request Date" to the item P54_Request_Date in the form page.
Any idea why this would work correctly for one of the report rows but not for the other 2?
Clearly, each of the report rows must have a value for the PK, so why would the form not be able to find the same row that the report displays? Is it a problem with the form's "Fetch Row from" process?
    Thanks.

    Hello:
Your problems are primarily related to in your choice of a 'Date' type as the PK for your table. The Automated Row Fetch (ARF) process uses a SQL statement similar to the one below to retrieve a record from a table select c1, c2, c3 ... from tab where PK_col = :page_item_containing_PK_value . This would work find if the the 'page_item_containing_PK_value' were of the DATE data type. However, all APEX binds are done using varchar2. This means that the 'page_containging_PK_value' needs to have the char representation of the date that matches the default date setting on your database. So the page-item needs to be something like 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI'. In your case the PK item is probably being set to 'DD-MON-YYYY' and therefore the fetch fails.
Now, for the 'issue with the :' in the character representation of the date. The link on the report page uses the standard APEX URL syntax to construct the link
    f?p=App:Page:Session:Request:Debug:ClearCache:itemNames:itemValues:PrinterFriendly
As you can see, the ':' acts as the separator that delineates the components that make up the APEX URL. So, having a ':' in the 'itemValues' component will make the APEX engine treat whatever follows the ':' in the value passed as a delimiter as opposed to being part of the value being passed.

  • New book! Physical Database Design: The Database Professional's Guide

Morgan Kaufmann publishers have just released a new book on physical database design covering how to design indexes, range and hash partitioning, materialized views, storage layout, RAID, warehouse design and other physical design areas. The book covers Oracle and several other major databases. Lots of diagrams and examples. It's actually a really good book. An excellent book for people who design and administer databases.
Available on Amazon and most other book sellers.

how could we get the report of previous five years sale of the products.
    SELECT trunc(sale_date, 'YYYY'), sum(sale_qty)
    FROM   sales
    WHERE  sale_date >= add_months(sysdate-60)
    GROUP  BY trunc(sale_date, 'YYYY')
suggest whether dropped Product name from the sale table as I already have a column prodid in it?Yes. Duplicated data is a Bad Thing. This is Rule #1 of the late Dr. Codd's 12 rules. These are the foundationstones of good relation design. Wikipedia has a good introduction to them.

I have an Apple TV 3 and have just signed up to iTunes Match. However there is no toggle in the Apple TV settings (I've looked in iTunes store) to turn on iTunes Match.

There would normally be more than 4.
If AppleTV does not 'see' the internet you get Settings and Computers alone.
I'm in UK too - there have been some reported outages of Apple services today globally.
First thing I would do here is unpower and restart AppleTV and also maybe your router.
I'll check mine to see if music is still listed.

  • Orrarp report toll in appliaction 10g wants the solution for 11g

    Dear all,
my orrarp reporting tool which will prompt me to select the printer from network was working fine with me on application server 10g when I moved to 11g middle ware this is not working as i am not getting printer window to select the printer on the network kindly help to configure and reolve my issue.
    Thanks
    Massi

    Hi There,
No, I did not find any solution. However I managed to convert these into 11g from the only opportunity I got. I will explain....
On one instance, I managed to open up a report (which was crashing earlier) successfully in the 11g reports builder. As soon as I managed to do that, I opened up all the 10g reports that were crashing before and all of them opened up in the same report builder session and I saved it. Once all of these were converted, I took the back up of those reports. I then tried the same thing by opening another report builder session to see if the problem no longer exists, but I was not able to open these again. But lucky me, I took oppurtunity of the only chance I got and I managed to convert all the reports in the same report builder session when I managed to open one report successfully.
I thought that there must be something within the temp folder it is storing some information or something within the temp folder it is corrupting something, hence I cleared off everything from the temp folder and tried the same steps but in vain.
No one seems to know the solution so far. If you do happen to know the root cause please let me know.
    Regards
    Sanjiv

  • HT1349 I lost/had my iPhone stolen. Tried using Find My iPhone and it's offline. It was set up. What do I do now? Do I report it stolen? What is the best way in getting back my iPhone if any? Thank you in advance.

Tried using Find My iPhone and it's offline. It (Find my iPhone) was set up. What do I do now? Do I report it stolen? What is the best way in getting back my iPhone if any? Thank you in advance.

Find My iPhone is good for misplaced iPhone but not good for thief and it was never meant to be.
You chance of getting it back is very small.
There are a few things you can try.
Try remote lock/wipe your iPhone through Find My iPhone.
    https://www.icloud.com
You can report to the police, cell carrier (expensive cell charges for international calls, roaming etc)
Change all the passwords used in iPhone: Apple ID, E-mail, Bank Account ....
