LMS 4.2 Send config to Swiches

Hi All,
We want to send some standard config commands to all the switches for security audit. Can someone please advise how to send them to the switches?
Thanks

Hi,
for this you can use Netconfig feature. Below is the very good guide for the same:
Step 1 Select either:
•Configuration > Tools > NetConfig > Deploy
Or
•Configuration > Job Browsers > NetConfig
The NetConfig Job Browser appears.
Step 2 Click Create.
The Netconfig Job Type page appears, displaying the following job types:
•Device Based
•Module Based
•Port Based
Create a NetConfig Job based on -Devicehttp://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4-0/user/guide/configuration_management/cmug/netcfg.html#wp1680477

Also, there's another feature "Baseline compliance" what you can use to check if the devices  are having the some specific configuration/command & compliant. it'll list the compliant /non-compliant t devices,  with then 1 click you can make them compliant. below is guide for the same: -

    Many thanks, Elisabeth

Customer has installed a tftp server on his pc, switch doesn't crash when he copy the config file by tftp.
Why with cwcli config import it crash ?
What is the difference beetween cwcli and tftp server copy ?

  • Upgraded router VPN no longer working - LCP: timeout sending Config-Request

I recently upgraded my small office router from a Linksys WRT54G to a Linksys WRT610N. I duplicated all of the port forwarding configs from my previous router, but everytime I try to connect to my server I get the following error:
Could not negotiate a connection with the remote PPP server. Please verify your settings and try again.
The ports I have forwarded to my server are the following:
    1701 UDP
    500 UDP
    1723 TCP
    4500 UDP
While I am connecting I have been watching the log from Server Admin, and this is what I see:

I am having sever issues with routers vs. VPN and I am hoping someone here can tell me how they got PPTP and L2TP working through the Apple Airport Extreme.
Basically, I used to have a cheap, old, but perfectly working Linksys router. I opened ports for PPTP and L2TP pass through and VPN worked fine. I decided to upgrade the router because I wanted something with basic firewall functionality...
I tried two new linksys products and gave up in disgust. Then I thought I had a brainwave and ordered the Apple Extreme Base Station. Well, this is almost as hopeless.
I can get PPTP to connect now but the remote clients can't connect to the AFP server. L2TP simply won't work. I have 1701, 500, 1723 and 4500 ports forwarded to my server so I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Also, I see on Apple's Server page that the Server will set up the Apple Extreme Base Station automatically??? How does this work?
Lastly, Do I want to enable NAT port mapping protocol?
    Thank you,
    Gareth

  • Dialup Internal modem error - LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests

Whether I use an iMAC G4 internal modem, or a Powerbook G4 internal modem, I receive the same Connection Log error on both machines. Objective: Modem dial-up to Sympatico ISP in Sherbrooke, Canada.
Setup is to use the v.92 protocol of the Apple Internal 56k modem.
    Log excerpts:
    :Modem Reliable Link Established
    :Modem Compression Established
    :Serial Connection established
    :using interface ppp0
    :Connect: ppp0 <-> /dev/cu.modem
    :LCP:timeout sending Config-Requests
    :Connection terminated
The funny thing is that I have better success early mornings, whereas, late at night it is almost never connecting. Better success in the morning usually means trying between 3 to 5 times before a successful connection is made.
A PC laptop using the same physical POTS line and dialing the same Sympatico ISP number can connect on the first time, every time.
Very frustrating. If you have any suggestions, please...

VPN has been a continuing issue in or organisation. There could be more than one issue problem causing the issues we have, however we have found that our Netgear router appears to have issues. After a bit of research on other forums I found other people who had flagged other Netgear routers as having similar issues and that VPN connections could be reestablished buy turning on and off settings with in the control panel for the router. Doing so jogs it working again for no apparent reason, even when the resulting settings are exactly the same as before.
It is because of this reason and other issues I have had with other Netgear routers that I have decided that I cant fully fix our issues with VPN until we have replaced our router with something more suitable.

  • CCP timeout sending Config-Requests

    Hey Guys,
I could really use some help on a VPN issue we're having. I've included the logs, for some reason it appears after the connection is established, the MacBook Pro sends a CCP ConfReq, the server sends back the same ConfReq like it should, the MacBook Pro acknowledges the required type of encryption. But instead of the connection being established the MacBook Pro sends another ConfReq, and thus the loop begins until a CCP timeout is issued.

Sounds like you might have a problem with your vpn_blahblah user. Do you have one in LDAP? If so have you recently demoted/promoted OD, rebuild OD, or throw OD around in bed?

  • LMS 3.2 - Syslog Config fetch not working

    Hello,
the syslog config fetch on my LMS 3.2 with RME 4.3.0 is not working.
I get syslog messages from devices and the count in the syslog collector status is okay.
But in the syslog message summary in device center the count is not getting higher with every message.
And the config fetch is not working.

After I restarted the processes the syslog queue is empty and the config fetch works :-)
    Output from syslog.log:

My last question is now, what can I do that the syslog queue will not getting full one more time?
Is logrot a solution? My syslog.log will be rotated at 128 MB.
    Thanks a lot!

  • LMS 4.1 multiserver config problem

I m facing a problem in multiserver configuration, in making master-slave servers.
Master server config is done, certificates are imported, SSO is also configured and all the pre-requisites given in the multiserver-config doc of lms4.1.
While making slave server from stand-alone, getting errors like "cetrificate expired" and "certificte not installed" in two different ways, putting master-server IP as master address and putting master-server domain name respectively, both snapshots are attached. My Domain name is DNS resolvable.
Anyone can help me out on this...?

You can add your custom prompts into /opt/CSCOpx/objects/cmf/data/TacacsPrompts.ini. No restart of LMS is required for the addition to be recognized.

We have the LMS 3-2 bundle with RME4.3.1
Is it possible to setup  “baseline” config jobs to so we can check for specific items in our configs globally?

Yes that is what it is about.
You can check for presence or absence of items in the config

  • JDBC Sender Config

The scenario is  JDBC to IDOC using Graphical Mapping in PI 7.1
I am looking at extracting data from a view in sql server into PI to make sure that data can be extracted into PI. In the ESR the DT , MT , MI and OM has been definied.
In the Integration directory the configuration has been done correctly and the SQL Query and Update statement looks like below.
Select Query Statement : SELECT * FROM view
    Update Statement: <test>
The Sender CC is active but I cannot see any xml messages in PI ?? At this point I would have expected records to be fixed by PI.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Hari

    Hi Hari,
I hope you are not able to see your message id in your communication channel.
    1.    check if you are able to ping/connect from your pi server.
    2.    check if you have provided correct user credentials in your channel
    3.    Check if there are any locks on your JDBC adapter service in visual admin
    4.    Finally try restarting JDBC adapter service in Visual admin.

    Naveen.

  • SOAP Sender - Config 'Acknowledgment Handling'

    Dear all,
I am a little lost in configuring Acknowledgment Handling for SOAP-Sender (Proxy). I am stuck in how to maintain the corresponding http-Connection in NWA.
Can somebody show me the way to get a http-Connection in NWA pointing to a ECC-System (Proxy-Sender)? (especially how to get another hosting system)
    Context:
This is all to be done in Proxy to IDoc scenario for getting acknowledgements back to Proxy-Sender-System.
    Kind regards!

Dear guys - thanks for your help.
We are ready for transfering IDoc's but we are facing problem working with acknowledgments.
    So what we have is:
    - Sending proxy message to AAE and transferring it as IDoc to ECC (within the proxy we force for getting an ack back)
    - Configure ALEAUD in WE20 of receiving ECC - we also get a aleaud.xml back from ECC which is stuck in AAE
Therefore i give you this attachment:
Here you just see the send message in AAE coming from ECC EDTCLNT200. This message is an aleaud.xml which is not processed back to the proxy.
How to set up AAE for getting the aleaud-message back to Proxy-Sender?
    Thanks a lot!

  • HTTP sender config ?

    Hi Guys,
we are trying to configure a third party application for sending xml files with HTTP adapter with the url as http://host:8000/sap/xi/adapter_plain .
I need to configure in such a way that it shld not promt for the userid & pw for authentication. I cannot have url more then the above length and i am worried how it can identify the specific sender & interface as there r no sender details in the above url.
any help in configuring a sender http adapter with out promting for user id and pw would be really appreciated
    Thanks,
    k s reddy

    Hi -
<i>>>>we need to send 15 different xml files and do i need to enter there 15 different urls ?</i>
When sending messages to the HTTP adapter (sender HTTP), parameters like 'service', 'interface', and 'namespace' (sender int. namespace) are mandatory as part of the URL query string.  See here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/82/f4993c03e0cd37e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
XI needs these parameters for routing purposes.  Receiver determination (that you set up in ID) is mainly based on these parameters.
So if the 15 xmls truly belong to 15 different sender interfaces, for example, then you'll need 15 different URLs (query string part).
<i>>>>Do i need to change it to 8000 ? If it is wrong why i am getting the response when i test with HTTP cleint ?</i>
The port u need to use for the http adapter is the icm port that resides on the ABAP stack - to confirm, check trxn SMICM, then Goto->Services.  You'll see the http port you need to use there.  By default, this is 8000.   50000 is usually the J2EE http port and is used by the other adapters of the adapter framework and messaging system.  The http adapter (and IDoc adapter) is part of the ABAP stack.

  • Issues after backend system upgrade - unable to send config data to backend

    Hi
Our backend system has been upgraded to ABAP 7.02 SP08. Because of the upgrade, we now have a new tab on our Business System Communication Component in PI ID called "Logon Data". As the help.sap link [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/7b/d4653fd1d3b81ae10000000a114084/frameset.htm] says, we have done the following:
Created a user in the backend system with the same roles as are contained in SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER_MAIN.
Given the URL to the backend system in the SLD.
Still, when we try to save our Business System Communication Component, we only get a warning message saying that "Could not check logon data". As long as we are not able to configure this cache update to the backend system, we are not able to run any scenarios with WS adapter.
Anyone had any experience with this?
    regards Ole

    Hi Niranjan,
    > i have created RFC connection SAPSLDAPI but here it's using SLD_UC as RFC destination. i have deleted SLD_UC but again and again it is creating when i execute RZ70 transaction.
    >
When you are configuring SLD on ABAP side, don't delete SLD_UC because by default this RFC is used to send data to to SLD. Please follow below step to configure SLD in RZ70:
    1) On the lower right corner, click on the icon with the green card (Proposal). A POP up will appear clieck Yes.
    2) Now Enter host name and Service name.
    3) In the upper left corner, click on the match icon (Activate Current Configuration)
    4) Click on the execution icon (Start Data Collection and Job Scheduling)
    5) On POP up, click yes. And this will send data to SLD by using RFC SLD_UC. Then login to SLD and verify.
    Hope it will help...
    Thanks
