Lo Cockpit Loading in Production

Hi All
Its a fact that whenever we are loding the data for LO extractors we need to fill the setup tables first with no activity in the system.
Here at the client due to existance of client worldwide they are asking us to explore if there is any way to load the data with minimul downtime or no downtime.We might get maximum a day for downtime .
Is there any process that we can follow to get all the records properly for LO loaded into BI without downtime.

We need to fill set up table only for Full upload and init Upload.........U set the delta mechanism.........
1) Fill the set up table
2) Execute init with data transfer..........this will set the init flag.........and Delta queue will get created......after this any new or changed records will go to Delta queue.....
3)Then run Delta Ip...........
And every time if u run the delta IP....no need to fill the set up table any more...........If u use Direct delta .....then changes will be directly get recorded in the Delta queue............But if u r using Unserialized V3 Update or Queued Delta........then data will get accumulated in the Update table or the Extraction queue respectively..........then u hav to schedule the V3 jobs.........to pull the data in the Delta queue.........

Vendor error message in sourcing cockpit when change product category

Hi there
We are having a problem when changing the product category in the sourcing cockpit.
The product category is linked to a vendor list. When you change the product category in the sourcing cockpit and choose a vendor by doing a vendor search and then click create purchase order, it still gives the error message "please choose vendor". Somehow it is not reading the vendor.
Is there any way to solve this with a note or something?

when you display the cart in work area , the vendor would have picked .i think you can see in one of the basic data .
dont you try to prosose a source of supply and assign sos.
i am not sure where mistake has happened ?
can your business allows you to complete the cart and create a new cart since all our data is different
once you change the product category. for eg. it linked with purchasing group upon responsibility of product group and this purchasing group linked with purchase organisation internally and vendor....so..on .
one small change product category impact data more..
it is not recommend to change the product category here. product category may link with responsible purchase group and purchase group is linked with purchasers w.r.t purchase group .

Ajax load a product catalogue

I need to Ajax load a product catalogue (ie. a list of small product layouts) into another page, while retaining the functionality of the 'Add to Cart' buttons. Does anyone know how to do this? My javascript knowledge is patchy...
I have the product and catalogue IDs, and the existing OnClick call; but when I try to trigger the AddToCart() function it won't bind properly and I don't know how to fix it.
Any help would be much appreciated!

You might want to check out the EasyCatalog plugin and use the pagination module.

I have no affiliation with the company but have used several different plugins to link information from databases and spreadsheets to catalog pages and EasyCatalog works well. They offer a 30 day trial so maybe you could finish your catalog using that.

Initial load of product categories - Middleware issue

I need fresh idea regarding middleware problem that I am facing.
My setup of middleware is done by note 720819, sites (CRM and R/3) are defined, report for product settings is run (service set to inactive), RFC connections set, filters for DNL_CUST_PROD1 set and nothing is happening when I try to transfer material groups for the backend. RFC users have SAP_ALL.
Object is in status running and that is. I checked RFC connection and it is working, so EBP is entering R/3 and here everything stops.
I used note 429423 for analysis with no much use because there is no BDocs at all.
customizing is the same on DEV and QAS but on QAS is doing nothing while on DEV is happily executing.
Please give some clue what is happening.

So,
after digging around EBP and R/3 (do you remeber Digger game) I found out two things.
1. RFC user had wrong authorizations (not SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW) what was different that on other systems. Finally agree with other that this authorizations are possible if user is not dialog.
2. Because load was started with unproper authorizations it was stuck in OUTBOUND queue of SRM. When I deleted loads in queue and with proper authorizations everything went OK.
Point: do not look only inbound queue in SRM

1. Check whether the operation is assigned with Costing Relevancy Indicator and has a control key relevant for costing.
2. Check whether in the routing the activity type is seen and it has some standard values maintained.

Media objects not loading in production instance

Hi,
Inside iStore we want to use media objects to link in simple html pages. In our PROD environment this does not work. We have tried all 4 Apache nodes (2 internal and 2 external), but the page just does not show.
We have several test and QA environments and in every other environement this works. ALL our test and QA environments are regularly cloned from the PROD system so this is a real mystery to us.
We have compared the network configuration on the nodes, the Apache and Jserv config and cannot find any reason why this behaves differently in PROD than in LOAD.
The test in PROD has also been done without https and also without using a load balancer (using direct link to he Apache servers)
What I find strange is the information in the access.log for Apache:

As we can see from the log Apache gets an request for Jul09.html in both environment but for some reason it is using 127.0.0.1 (localhost) instead of the Apache nodes production IP.
Have anybody else experienced this problem? Do you have any idea for a solution?

The DMZ configuration for the test environments should be the same as for production.
The one thing that is different is that the test environment uses http protocol for the external iStore nodes instead of https in production. But on the other hand the internal iStore nodes in production are also using http format, and the media content won't load there either, so this is probably not causing our problems.
We also checked the url_fw.conf file and it looks ok.
Even though it wasn't the solution I greatly appreciate you help, VKKY. Do you have any other ideas what could be causing our problems?

LO Cockpit Load - 2lis_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM - some dups in 1st delta pull

I am wondering if I might have done something incorrectly. I am new to lo cockpit and had to create a custom datastore. I did the steps below and then ran deltas from that point on. Only the first delta pull after my initial load had duplicates in it (about 2000 out of 8749 records for BF datasource). The delta job was scheduled hourly.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Steps for Loading Raw Materials from ECC to BW - 3/25/2009
1.     ECC/SRM/BW u2013 lock out users u2013 6 pm
2.     ECC - delete 03 setup tables u2013 SBIW
3.     ECC - insure all delta queues do not contain anything for 2lis_03_BF or 2LIS_03_UM
               (rsa7, SMQ1, LBWQ)
4.     ECC - Stop V3 jobs for inventory u2013 SM37 u2013 if any exist
5.     ECC u2013 fill setup tables u2013 SBIW for material movements and revaluations
                 (1085, 1101, 1103, 1104, 1200, and 1201 company codes )
6.     ECC u2013 SM37 u2013 check for RMCBNEUA (MSEG) pull and RMCBNERP (BSEG pulls)
                for successful completion
7.     BW - Run Init W/out data transfer u2013 sets delta pointer
8.     BW - Run Full Repair for 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um datasources to ZGDMVTIM
9.             Run deltas - got 0 records
10.     ECC u2013 schedule V3 jobs using LBWE
11.     Unlock Users
on 3/27/2009 - first real delta pull occurred . Out of 8749 BF records, 2000 were duplicates. Did it have anything to do with the full repair?

Middleware initial load in production

We have a question over how to run an initial load (R3AS) in our production system. We have over 4 million business partners and 9 million contract accounts that will require replication from ERP to CRM system. We expect the initial load could take several days to run. Is there anyway to stagger the initial load? This is due to that we may not want replication activities occurring at certain times of the day. We'd like to just do an initial load on a range of bp's per day. It seems this could be accomplished by setting a filter, but my understanding is that as we shift the filter, we would then be missing the deltas of the previous bp's that were loaded via initial load. Is there anyway to accomplish a staggered initial load? or do you need to basically fire off the initial load for your entire filter.
Does anyone also have any tips that are geared towards replication as it relates to large volumes of data.

You can activate the deltas manually in R3ac4.

BI Administration Cockpit loading Template Error

Hi
I get an error loading a template such as 0TPL_PORTAL_EVENT_LISTENER (Notification Number BRAIN 276). It is needed for displaying Long-Term Trends in Total Runtimes of BI Application Objects.
How to make sure the template mentioned in the error message is installed in
business content?
I used nwa for deploying template, so I supposed that's it was included.

It seems I am missing some BI Content because the template is not in there.
I am at the current SAP patch levels
SAP_BW release 7 level 11
BI_CONT release 703 level 4
Everything I have read say that I should be fine at this point but the only thing I can think of is taking it to level 13 for SAP_BW.
Any other suggestions are appreciated.

As you are loading data for 2007,2008,2009 & 2010 it is selective loading with respect to year I hope and it is a init load.
Check R/3 - Bw connection.
Data need to be checked in RSA3.
Replicate the data source.

Data load in Production Issue

Hi All !
1) Loaded data from datasource 2LIS_11_VAITM to PSA. Successfully.
2) While loading PSA to data target, the activation fails due to invalid characters.
I have few options:
1) It has 200 datapackets. Correcting manually is not possible due two huge volume.
2) Added the invaliid character in RSKC. Though I dont see any other approach.
3) Writing the routine is also not possible as its a high priority.
Is the RSKC approach is OK to use? Please advise.

In earlier same issue I was also faced and resolved it by RSKC.
I think you go ahead with 2)......not a problem at all.
Coding or FM is somewhat time consuming process for this small issue.

Error in Initial Load of Products from ECC to CRM

Hi ,
Im getting below errors In initial load of MATERIAL from ECC to CRM.
Data cannot be maintained for set type COMM_PR_MAT
Data cannot be maintained for set type COMM_PR_UNIT
Data cannot be maintained for set type COMM_PR_SHTEXT
My Analysis is
I found these set types are already assigned in other base category and around 100+ materials are created using this base category.
After initial load of DNL_CUST_PROD1, i found these set types are not assigned to any of the categories of hierarchy R3PRODSTYP. Since R3PRODSTYP is not having above set types, my initial load is failing.
Required Solution
Is there any other way, I can download materials from ECC to CRM, with out deleting the existing materials and Z hierarchy created earlier from CRM.

Try to attach the Set Types:
"COMM_PR_MAT", "COMM_PR_UNIT", "COMM_PR_SHTEXT", COMM_PR_BATCH, COMM_PR_LGTEXT, COMM_PR_LGTEXT1,COMM_PR_LGTEXT2,
to the Category "MAT_" and then run the Initial load again.
It should work now unless you have some other issues.
