Load Class during Runtime

1.How to load the class during run time with out creating an instance of an object?.
Eg.
class A,class b,class C,class D
1.Class D extends Applet get some values from the html through getparameter method.
2.Class C get the values from the Class A.
3.class A,B Extends Frame class ,it get the values from Class C.
Problem:=
In Class D ,I Create an object for class A & call a method in that class A which is decalred as public in Init() method of on class D.After that i should down load the class B in Internet and i should call a particular public method in that class in the same Class D.is it possible through Class t = Class.forName("B"),method.invoke(). how can i use this class to do that?i need the example Applet Program for that?that applet should work in all browser.(Appilicable for java1.1)

If it's a static method, just call it in the usual way:B.someStaticMethod();This will load the class and execute the method. If it's an instance method, you will need an instance of the object to call it.

  • Captivate Loads Assets During Runtime?

    Does a published Captivate project load all assets to the local client before it begins playing, or does it call in assets (like background screen captures) as needed during runtime?
    Any info is appreciated!

    Thanks for the response, Shekhar!
    Let me clarify, maybe I'm using the wrong terms. At some point, the content assets have to reside on the users machine in temp in order to view them - that is what's happening during a site's or a swf's initial load. My question is: does the main captivate file insist that everything within it be downloaded during initial load, or are the separate assets within the project loaded as they are required - as in a background jpg loading only when a given step in a system simulation is reached.
    Does that make more sense?

  • Generate and Compile new classes during runtime

    Hi!
    I use the Parser-Generator JavaCC to build a parser from a BNF-Grammar.
    During runtime, the user shall be able to change the
    grammar, so the Parser-Generator will build new .java-Files for the new Parser.
    Does anyone know any Java-Generic-Methods to use .java-Files in a program? Or do they have to be compiled with javac?
    Or does perhaps anyone know a Parser reading a BNF-Grammar-File and parsing according to this grammar?
    Thanks a lot for possible Help, Henning.

    Here is a link to a useful program with source code that uses javac. It creates a window and allows you to type in java source code and execute. I use it to test small java functions that I'm not very familiar with.

  • Load file during runtime

    Is it possible to open a local file at runtime? If so, how?
    Ex: load "C:\myAnimation.swf" and display it.
    Thanks

    I have no lingo nor director experience but I tried your
    solution. However it returns a script error saying the filename
    property was not found.
    I dragged an swf to the stage, named it "DummySwfMember" and
    put the script in the frame.
    What went wrong?

  • Problem with large option class during runtime 11.5.10

    It seems like our Oracle Configurator has a problem with loading multiple large option classes with about 10,000 items under it. We are running 11.5.10. My guess is that Oracle has to load everything in the option class and at some point the server just gives up after loading so much data.
    Basically the model looks like this and was set up by Oracle themselves in 04. Overtime the option classes grew.
    --Base model
    ----Model A instance 1
    --------option class
    ------------10000 items
    ----Model A instance 2
    --------option class
    ------------10000 items
    ----Model A instance 50
    --------option class
    ------------10000 items
    Is there an optimal amount for an option class? Is the model structure possibly outdated and we should break up the option classes into models to alleviate some of the pain? Or are we at the limitation that Oracle Configurator can do and should peruse a custom solution?

    Funny thing really because the Case study for Chapter 4 is from our company that Oracle put together for us and its not working in the sense that it seems the servers can't handle the current model structure. I wouldn't blame the UI for these crashes and we already hide stuff from the user (ie, having to sort through all 10,000 items and hiding the BOM structure). Quick story of why i want to try and fix it is becuase the way its set up now in the model document is that 3 people could kill the server by basically saying "ok i selected this item for this location" (which would load the 10,000 items into memory on the server and not to the UI upon selection of the model) and then they would say... "ok now copy this selection to all these 50 places" (which would load those items again for each place that the item had to copied to) and BOOM server dead. I think sandeeps diagram of the changes is a really good idea and could help out alot and I tossed out that idea a few times before around my work place to help with the server issues. I feel that it would work but is it also possible that maybe configurator can't support our model the way they are wanting it to work?

  • Dynamic loading of a class at runtime with known inheritance

    Hi,
    I am trying to dynamically load a class during runtime where I know that the class implements a particular interface 'AInterface'. Also, this class may be linked to other classes in the same package as that class, with their implementations/extensions given in their particular definitions.
    The class is found by using a JFileChooser to select the class that implements 'AInterface', and loaded up.
    Because the name of the class can be practically anything, my current approach only works for certain classes under the package 'Foo' with classname 'Bar'. Some names have been changed to keep it abstract.
    private AInterface loadAInterface(URL url) throws Exception {
         URL[] urls = { url };
         // Create a new class loader with the directory
         URLClassLoader cl = new URLClassLoader(urls);
         // Load in the class
         Class<?> cls = cl.loadClass("Foo.Bar");
         return (AInterface) cls.newInstance();
    }As you can see, all that is being returned is the interface of the class so that the interface methods can be accessed. My problem is that I don't know what the class or package is called, I just know that the class implements AInterface. Also note that with this approach, the class itself isn't selected in the JFileChooser, rather the folder containing Foo/Bar.class is.

    Also note that with this approach, the class itself isn't selected in the JFileChooser, rather the folder containing Foo/Bar.class is.These two statements are mutually contradictory...My apologies, I worded that wrong. My current approach (the one given in the code) selects the root package folder. However, what I want to be able to do, is to simply select a single class file. The current code just makes some assumptions so that I can at least see results in the program.
    As you said, if the root of the package hierarchy is known, then this could be achieved. The problem is that the user either selects the package root or the AInterface class, but not both.
    Is there a way to get package details from a .class file to be used in the actual loading of the class?

  • Not Loaded. A runtime error occurred during the load of the COM add-in.

    Hey All!
    I am relatively new to Hyperion, and need some help. I recently purchased a new laptop, and I am trying to reinstall Smart View 11.1.2.1 on my home system, but I continue to run into difficulties. I launch the Smart View installer by right-clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator," and everything seems to install successfully. However, when I open Excel or any Microsoft Office product, the Smart View tab is unavailable, and when I Manage my COM add-ins, the pop-up box reads "Load Behavior: A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM add-in."
    I have looked into my registries, and everything seems to be in order. I have changed my load behavior back to 3 as well. Any ideas? Are there any compatibility issues I need to consider? Thanks for your help!
    Craig

    PLEASE do not do this! You are storing up trouble for the future that will be so much harder to unpick.
    1. It does not solve the problem. Whatever the problem was, this is not the solution! If the issue is multiple DLLs, you need to delete the duplicates and register the correct ones, not make even more copies. If the problem is permissions, you need to sort that one out.
    2. If it appears to solve the problem, then the problem (something to do with permissions) needs to be solved at source, not kludged round like this.
    3. If there is an unresolved problem on the system, it is more likely that the next upgrade will not go well.
    4. Uninstaller cannot remove the copies you made manually. The same thing applies to upgrades! You risk getting mixed versions afterwards.
    My first steps to resolve this problem would be:
    1. Uninstall the SmartView client. You must be an administrator to do this -- try to be the same administrator that installed it.
    2. Clean up. Make sure the files are all deleted. Search the whole box for old files (HsTBar.xla, HsAddin.dll etc.) possibly left over from an old installation -- you might have upgraded into a different location at some time in the past and left orphaned files hanging around. Get rid.
    3. Reboot. Log in as a local administrator.
    4. Open Excel and visit the Add-Ins dialog and remove any entries for SmartView.
    5. Install SmartView client from a local copy of SmartView.exe -- make sure you have the correct version.
    That solves 99% of problems like this. If you have to register the DLLs manually, it suggests that your 'administrator' account doesn't have the full rights you think it has. DON'T kludge it by copying DLLs into your profile!
    Thanks.

  • Changing Changing Database Location During Runtime

    I'm using Netbeans 6.0.1. My database location ALWAYS change in place. That's why I'm planning that there would be a "Database Settings..." inside my program. But I don't know how to change the current: user, password, url settings of my program DURING RUNTIME. Here's my persistence.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <persistence version="1.0" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_1_0.xsd">
      <persistence-unit name="LibraryPU" transaction-type="RESOURCE_LOCAL">
        <provider>oracle.toplink.essentials.PersistenceProvider</provider>
        <class>desktopapplication2.Books</class>
        <properties>
          <property name="toplink.jdbc.user" value="root"/>
          <property name="toplink.jdbc.password" value="password"/>
          <property name="toplink.jdbc.url" value="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/Library"/>
          <property name="toplink.jdbc.driver" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"/>
        </properties>
      </persistence-unit>
    </persistence>

    To solve the "why the hell would I want that stuff inside a jar file" issue, I googled a bit and found this
    style of approach in a Oracle forum. Essentially think of the persistence.xml file as an template
    that the program uses.
    I use a properties file to set all local DB configuration aspects. Load the properties at application
    startup and set then extract the required fields into a Map to create the persistent unit.
    All the "examples" I seen always use a static xml which is never what you need in the real
    world.
    Map properties = new HashMap();
    properties.put(TopLinkProperties.JDBC_URL, dbProps.getString("abc.jdbcurl") );
    properties.put(TopLinkProperties.JDBC_DRIVER, dbProps.getString("abc.jdbcdriver"));
    properties.put(TopLinkProperties.JDBC_USER, dbProps.getString("abc.user"));
    properties.put(TopLinkProperties.JDBC_PASSWORD, dbProps.getString("abc.password"));
    EntityManagerFactory emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("abcPU", properties);
    entityManager = emf.createEntityManager();
    HTH Altimes.

    In which system you are facing this problem?
    If it is Developement system then do the following steps and then try again.
    1. In your interface mapping remove the message mapping first and then activate the interface mapping.
    2. Do some dummy change in your message mapping or rename the message mapping by copying it and activate it.
    3. Now use this message mapping in your interface mapping and activate IM.
    If it doesn't work delete all objects and recreate them. (or may be rename them ).
    One more important thing... Check your Interface Determination and make sure the outbound & inbound message interfaces are exactly same as used in Interface Mapping.

  • A question about how to change a button in a JPanel during runtime

    I am a beginner of GUI. Now I am trying to change a specific component, a button, when the application is running. For example, I have 3 buttons in a JPanel. Each button has its onw icon. If I click one of them, it will change its icon, but the other two don't change. I don't know if there is any method for changing a specific component during runtime. If any one knows please let me know, I will appreciate that very much!!!

    What you're going to have to do is loop inside the actionlistener but still have accessability to click while its looping. I don't know much about it, but I think you're going to need a thread. Try something like this... (it doesn't work yet, but I have to take off)
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    class buttonxdemo extends JFrame implements ActionListener{
      Buttonx mybutton;
      //set it all up, make it look pretty  =]
      public buttonxdemo()
           mybutton = new Buttonx("default");
           getContentPane().add(mybutton.thebutton);
           mybutton.thebutton.addActionListener(this);
           this.setDefaultCloseOperation(3);
           this.setSize(200,200);
      public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae){
        if (ae.getSource() == mybutton.thebutton)
             if (mybutton.keepGoing)
               mybutton.keepGoing = false;
                else if (!mybutton.keepGoing)
                     mybutton.keepGoing = true;
          mybutton = new Buttonx(/*Icon,*/"My Button");
          //getContentPane().remove(mybutton);
          //getContentPane().add(mybutton.thebutton);
          mybutton.startstop();
      }//actionperformed
      static void main(String args[])
           new buttonxdemo().show();
    } //movingicondemo
    class Buttonx extends Thread{
      public boolean keepGoing;
      //public Icon ICx;            //perhaps an array, so you can loop through?
      public String strbuttonx;
      public JButton thebutton;     //may have to extend JFrame?
      public Buttonx(/*Icon IC,*/ String strbutton){
        //ICx = IC;
        strbuttonx = strbutton;
        thebutton = new JButton(strbuttonx);
      public void startstop()
        int i = 0;
        while (keepGoing)
          thebutton.setLabel(strbuttonx.substring(0,i));
          //if an array of Icons ICx
          //thebutton.setIcon(ICx);
    i++;
    if (i > strbuttonx.length() - 1)
    i = 0;
    try
         Thread.sleep(1000);
    catch (InterruptedException ie)
         System.out.println("sleep caught: " + ie);
    }//startstop()
    }//buttonx

  • TestStand won't load vi in runtime

    I'm runing LabVIEW 2011 version 11.0f2.  TestStand 2010 SP1.
    We tried deploying a packed library to a test system but the run-time will not load the VI.  Depending on the VI selected, we get a variety of different errors with the ! in teststand saying it can't load the module.  The beginning always says that the module can't be loaded with the Runtime Engine version 11.0.  Then usually stuff about the file can't be found and other crazy stuff.  Hard to capture them all because I don't see a way to copy and paste the info because you have to hover over the ! to get the error info.  Sure would be nice to get at that info so it could be copied to the clipboard!!!
    I've been replicating the issue on my development PC with the adapter set to runtime engine instead of develoment system.  It will load fine in development.  It will load find in runtime if I browse to the file directly (IE. not in the packed library).  But once I build the packed library, we get the error.
    I should mention we are using Classes inside our packed libraries.  We've been doing this for quite some time without issue.  I can point to any number of other packed libraries we've build with the runtime without issue.
    I then decided to try to replicate with a new library.  It is a shell of a library and class.  I've attached it here.  I get the same behavior.  will load if development and if direct to VI in runtime but not in the packed library VI.
    I was just fiddling with TestStand and found that if I select Advanced Settings and check Always Run VI in LabVIEW Run-Time Engine, it will load.  But if I uncheck that, it will not.   WTF?
    Can anyone see if I have something hosed or doing something wrong.  If we're set to use runtime adapter, we shouldn't have to set the step to use the runtime???  And since we've done this many times before without issue, I have no idea what the problem is.  I haven't changed anything lately and can build older packed libraries we've had setup and have them work.  But for some reason this new very empty and basic one won't...  at a loss.

    I did the mass compile.  same issue.  Although since I started from a brand new project from the 2011 environment with almost nothing in it, I don't see how that would've done much anyway.  But all efforts worth a shot.   The zip file I attached here was made with the following steps.  When I get to the end of this procedure, I get the red exclamation point...  This should not happen...  I have since uninstalled all NI software (even hunted down all residual components I could find that aren't automatically uninstalled or deleted) and still get the same problem.  I tried going to 2011 SP1, same problem.
    Close labview and teststand
    open labview
    create new project
    right click and create new library (leave all names as whatever labview defaults to)
    right click library and create new class
    Open class control and add a string (don't change name)
    close class control - Save to a temporary folder somewhere
    Save all - put all files into the same temporary folder with default names of labview
    right click class and create new VI
    put the class as an input and an output in that VI
    wire the class input to the class output
    save the VI into the same temporary folder as "Test.vi"
    create new packed library build
    change location to the same temporary folder, leave all other names the same
    source file to the library you just created
    enable debugging
    Build the packed library
    save all and exit labview completely
    Start teststand
    Configure - Adapters
    with labview selected - press configure button
    Select radio button for LabVIEW Run-time engine
    OK
    DONE
    Add labview action step
    select the VI by browsing to the temporary folder and selecting the packed library then the Test.vi inside that packed library
    Select use an absolute path
    Does the VI prototype load? or does it have flashing red exclamation point???
