Load tree using renderer
Hi,
My current application contains a <mx:tree>
his dataprovider is an xml file loaded from a httpservice
this tree have a renderer extends TreeItemRenderer that allow me to add checkbox when node doesn't have childs.
When user check or uncheck a node, i put some information in a datagrid.
This datagrid is finally export to a file.
Now the question is how can i initialize the tree using the two file (the original and this saved) ?
See below my renderer code :
package manageCheckBox
import flash.events.Event;
import flash.events.MouseEvent;
import mx.collections.IViewCursor;
import mx.controls.Alert;
import mx.controls.CheckBox;
import mx.controls.DataGrid;
import mx.controls.treeClasses.*;
import mx.controls.treeClasses.TreeItemRenderer;
public class DisplayCheckBox extends TreeItemRenderer{
public var chk:CheckBox;
public var itemXml:XML; // original xml file
public var dg:DataGrid; // datagrid to put information on
public var myFields:XML; // saving file
public function DisplayCheckBox(){
super();
mouseEnabled = false;
override public function set data(value:Object):void{
if(value != null){
super.data = value;
this.itemXml = XML(value);
if(this.itemXml.@checked == "1"){
this.chk.selected = true;
}else{
this.chk.selected = false;
override protected function createChildren():void{
super.createChildren();
chk = new CheckBox();
chk.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, handleChkClick);
addChild(chk);
override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number, unscaledHeight:Number):void{
super.updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth,unscaledHeight);
if(super.data){
var tld:TreeListData = TreeListData(super.listData);
if(tld.hasChildren){
this.chk.visible = false;
}else{
this.chk.visible = true;
if(chk.visible){
this.chk.x = super.label.x
super.label.x = this.chk.x + 17;
this.chk.y = super.label.y+8;
private function handleChkClick(evt:MouseEvent):void{
if(this.chk.selected){
this.itemXml.@checked = "1";
// put information on the datagrid
dg.dataProvider.addItem(
"col1": this.itemXml.@label,
"col2": this.itemXml.@label,
"col3": this.itemXml.@resourceId
}else{
//this.checked = false;
this.itemXml.@checked = "0";
var vObject:Object = dg.dataProvider ;
var cursor:IViewCursor=vObject.createCursor();
while( !cursor.afterLast )
if(cursor.current.col1 == this.itemXml.@label) {
cursor.remove() ;
cursor.moveNext();
Thanks in advanc for your reply,

A) The tree region is not refresh-enabled. If you want it to act on any change in session state the page will always have to be submitted/reloaded to reflect those changes.
B) Providing a where-clause to the tree query is not done. There is nothing to achieve by doing so because of the nature of the query: the connect by occurs before the where clause filtering. You will break any and all metadata for the whole tree construct to use.
Consider nodes which are from a different department than the one you filter on: how would the tree have to be constructed? What if a parent node misses because of that? How would it's child nodes match up? Worse: what if you select a dept which does not belong to the root node? The root node would not be displayed and subsequently no child nodes would be shown. Simply because the generated meta-data does not match up.
Eg if "BLAKE" would be "SALES" and "JAMES" would be "ACCOUNTING", and you filter on dept = "ACCOUNTING", then "BLAKE" would be gone... But "JAMES" too. Just to illustrate how the represented data would be wrong.
There is a reason the tree query requires the addition of the LEVEL pseudo-column, as this is used to iterate over the data to provide to the tree. You can see how horribly a where clause breaks that mechanism by simply running the query in sql developer or the sql workshop.
tldr; Don't.

Certain webpages not loading correctly in FF, but load correctly using other browsers.
I have noticed that some webpages are loading/rendering differently when using Firefox, but will look correct when using other browsers, IE and Chrome. I have also checked using mobile version of FF, and I have the same issue. Also tried using a different computer, exact same issue arises.
Fore example, here are two webpages that load differently using Chrome and using Firefox:
http://www.welovedates.com/uk/england/london/
http://www.welovedates.com/blog/
Here are screenshots of what I am describing:
Page loading correctly in Chrome: http://imgur.com/urkNyH8
Page loading incorrectly in FF: http://imgur.com/3jlC8ml
Another page loading correctly in Chrome: http://imgur.com/Audu3qd
Page loading incorrectly in FF: http://imgur.com/UniU7ac
I have been searching for an answer for many hours. I have tried different suggestions made in different threads, but I have not been able to find an answer. As mentioned, I have this issue on my computer (which has Ghostery, and No-Script), I have this issue on another computer (with no additional plug-ins installed), and I have this issue on my mobile phone (also no additional plugins).
Any help is much appreciated!Hello again,
Thanks for responding so quickly.
I have cleared Cache and Cookies, yet the problem is still persisting.
I am not sure what you mean by, "using same log-in preferences for this site on all the devices??" The second computer is my wife's computer and she is the one who originally noted the discrepancy in the different browsers loading the same website differently. I don't know if that response helps in determining if we are using the same log-in preferences for the site. As to actually accessing the site in question, I am not logging in or anything, I am just typing the web address in and noticing it does not render the same as in Chrome.
I have been telling her to just use Chrome and not deal with this issue, but she is having issues with Chrome and her new Windows 8 computer, in which she notices that while using Chrome, her memory usage and CPU usage are peaked at 100%, making her computer run extremely slow. Alas, that is a completely different problem for a different forum!
Thanks,
Alex -
How to load hierrarchies using dtp using flat file in bw ineed clear ste
how to load hierrarchies using dtp using flat file in bw ineed clear steps
Hi,
If you want to load InfoObjects in the form of hierarchies, you have to activate the indicator with hierarchies for each of the relevant InfoObjects in the InfoObject maintenance. If necessary, you need to specify whether the whole hierarchy or the hierarchy structure is to be time-dependent, whether the hierarchy can contain intervals, whether additional node attributes are allowed (only when loading using a PSA), and which characteristics are allowed.
1.Defining the source system from which you want to load data:
Choose Source System Tree ® Root (Source System) ® Context menu (Right Mouse Button) ® Create.
For a flat file, choose: File System, Manual Metadata; Data via File Interface.
2.Defining the InfoSource for which you want to load data:
Optional: Choose InfoSource Tree ®Root (InfoSources) ® Context Menu (Right Mouse Button) ® Create Application Component.
Choose InfoSource Tree ® Your Application Component ® Context Menu (Right Mouse Button) ® Create InfoSource ® Direct Update
Choose an InfoObject from the proposal list, and specify a name and a description.
3.Assigning the source system to the InfoSource
Choose InfoSource tree ® Your Application Component ® One of your InfoSources ® Context Menu (Right Mouse Button) ® Assign Source System. You are taken automatically to the transfer structure maintenance.
The system automatically generates DataSources for the three different data types to which you can load data.
Attributes
Texts
Hierarchies (if the InfoObject has access to hierarchies)
The system automatically generates the transfer structure, the transfer rules, and the communication structure (for attributes and texts).
4.Maintaining the transfer structure / transfer rules
Choose the DataSource to be able to upload hierarchies.
Idoc transfer method: The system automatically generates a proposal for the DataSource and the transfer structure. This consists of an entry for the InfoObject, for which hierarchies are loaded. With this transfer method, during loading, the structure is converted to the structure of the PSA, which affects performance.
PSA transfer method: The transfer methods and the communication structure are also generated here.
5.Maintaining the hierarchy:
Choose Hierarchy Maintenance, and specify a technical name and a description of the hierarchy.
PSA Transfer Method: You have the option here to set the Remove Leaf Value and Node InfoObjects indicator. As a result, characteristic values are not transferred into the hierarchy fields NODENAME, LEAFFROM and LEAFTO as is normally the case, but in their own transfer structure fields. This option allows you to load characteristic values having a length greater than 32 characters.
Characteristic values with a length > 32 can be loaded into the PSA, but they cannot be updated in characteristics that have a length >32.
The node names for pure text nodes remain restricted to 32 characters in the hierarchy (0HIER_NODE characteristic).
The system automatically generates a table with the following hierarchy format (for sorted hierarchies without removed leaf values and node InfoObjects):
Description
Field Name
Length
Type
Node ID
NODEID
8
NUMC
InfoObject name
INFOOBJECT
30
CHAR
Node name
NODENAME

LANGU
1
CHAR
Description - short
TXTSH
20
CHAR
Description - medium
TXTMD

CHAR
Description- long

CHAR
The system transfers the settings for the intervals and for time-dependency from the InfoObject maintenance. Depending on which settings you have defined in the InfoObject maintenance, further table fields can be generated from the system.
The valid from and valid to field is filled if you select Total Hierarchy Time-dependent in the InfoObject maintenance. The time-dependent indicator is activated if you select the Hierarchy Nodes Time-dependent option in the InfoObject maintenance.
6.Save your entries.
Depending on which settings you defined in the InfoObject maintenance, additional fields can be generated from the system. Also note the detailed description for Structure of a Flat Hierarchy File for Loading via an IDoc and for Structure of a Flat Hierarchy File for Loading via a PSA.
Also find the below blog for your reference...

Flex SDK 3.4 Tree Item Renderer Root Folder displays Tooltip for Child
I have a Flex Tree that uses a custom item renderer. The item renderer extends Tree Item Renderer and I add my button in commit properties (since the data is dynamic) and I use update displaylist to move it to the right position. I set the button to be visible on rollover and make the icon invisible. On rollout I reverse that logic.
When I have my item renderer add the button, it causes only one problem and it seems to be under certain conditions:
- Single root folder for the tree
- Upon opening the tree, the root folder displays the tool tip for the last child in the tree
Any idea why the tooltip comes up?

super();

How to use renderer for a Jtree Element
Hi all,
i have been told to use Renderer for drawing a JTree on a JPanel.
I mean, i want to draw each element of the JTree as a rectangle with a label inside it.....each element of my JTree contains an UserObject with a string inside it.
Any suggestions ?
Cheers.

Shared Services 9.3.1 error - "...error loading tree data"
We have recently upgraded to version 9.3.1 and have been using it for several months now.
This past week, when logging in to Shared Services, we are suddenly experiencing a pop up with an error that says "There was a communication error while loading tree data".
Has anyone seen this error, and why would it suddenly start appearing when everything has worked for months and no changes have been applied?
Thanks for any advice, I will post screens and some sections from log files soon...We are also facing the issue while accessing the Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 application from Workspace. But it allows us to access it through planning URL. The workspace classic administration for planning works perfectly fine. Let me know in case you get any solution.

Can anyone tell me how to Copy a node on an ALV Tree using context menu ?
Hello Vidya
The sample report ZUS_SDN_ALVTREE_CTXMENU demonstrates how to copy nodes on an ALV tree.
Before showing the entire coding I would like to point out a few crucial parts of the coding:
(1) Defintion of OUTTAB list
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_s_outtab.

The OUTTAB list contains two additional fields holding the tree key (LVC_NKEY) and the node type.
(2) The main logic of the report is implemented in event handler method handle_node_ctxmenu_sel.

Dynamic loading tree and data grid
Hi All,
I new to java as well as JSF. I am very impressed with the jsf and Sun Java Creator IDE. I made a sample project.
Now I want to load tree and data grid with dynamic values how can I achieve this.
Please help to find out some examples.
Also I need to know who I can use SOAP call using JSF.
Thanks
CSCSTo dynamically load a Basic Table (ui:table) from a database, see http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/learning/tutorials/2/databoundcomponents.html
To dynamically load a Basic Table from other sources of data that are loaded into an array or such, see http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/divas?entry=table_component_sample_project
To dynamically CREATE a Basic Table, see http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/tips/2/createTableDynamically.html and http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/tips/2/add_component_to_table.html
To dynamically create an HTML table on the fly, see section 7.5 in Chapter 7 of the Field Guide at http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/learning/bookshelf/index.html
To dynamically create a tree, see Dynamic Tree example at http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/index.jsp.
A tutorial for dynamically creating a tree from a database is work in progress.
Hope this helps,

Flex Lazy Loading Tree example posted
Hi, all;
I've posted a new example to my blog:
http://flexdiary.blogspot.com/2009/01/lazy-loading-tree-example-file-posted.html
This example demonstrates
- Using lazy loading with a Tree component.
- Using an interface rather than a concrete type to allow the
LazyDataDescriptor to work with any class that implements
LazyLoading.
- An all-actionscript remoting connection
It also has the PHP files and instructions for creating the
mySQL database
that provide the service data."danger42" <[email protected]> wrote in

Error while Loading Budgets Using AMG
Error while Loading Budgets Using AMG
Dear All,
I am trying to load Budgets into ORACLE Projects using AMG API's..
I have developed PL/SQL which uses below procedures of pa_budget_pub package.
init_budget;
load_budget_line;
execute_draft_budget;
baseline_budget;
Procedure execute_create_draft_budget fails with following error message.
error message: Please enter a valid product code for this project.
error message: You entered an invalid API parameter.Please enter valid parameter and try again. Parameter Name: Resource List Parameter Value: 1446
error message: Project: AC044. Please specify a valid resource list.
error message: Project: AC044. Please specify a valid resource list.
Could somebody explain me how to resolve this error message and load the budget lines.
Thanks in Advance.
Afsal Basha.What I'm saying is, verify the column name. Dont post if not possible.
Example follows, with one table intentionally "hidden".
SQL> create table "tEsT" ("MaxNumber" float, "MaxnumbeR" number);
SQL> select table_name,column_name from user_tab_columns where table_name like 't%';
TABLE_NAME COLUMN_NAME
tEsT MaxNumber
tEsT MaxnumbeR

Can we load data using .xls in user define format(without using default template)
Hi All,
I'm new bee to FDM. Part of HFM support i use FDM to load flatfile data. Just has a bit more knowledge than end user.
Requirement is that i need to load data from MS excel to Planning application via FDM.
Previously application is in Excel(Macro driven) and upstream(data) is also in Excel(multi tab).
As of my knowledge data can be loaded from .csv file(Excel save as CSV) with single tab.
Could you please let me know possibilities to load data from .xls(.xlsx) to FDM.
Thanks in advance.If you want to load data using Excel, utilising FDM's out-of-the-box functionality you will have to use one of the templates supplied i.e. Excel Trial Balance or Excel Multi-load template.

Hi

I have created a barebone Application from scratch. I have synchronized it properly

if(debug.ON)
debug.out("Successfully retrieved PortalManagerHome " + portalManagerHome);
catch(Exception e)
PortalAppflowLogger.errorFindingPortalManagerHome("java:comp/env/ejb/PortalManager",
e);
I have checked the PortalManager's JNDI name on WLConsole. Its ${APPNAME}.BEA_portal.PortalManager.
Should I change it?
When I tried to change it, I started getting other weird errors.
Thanks

The Portal framework code (including PortalAppflowHelper) uses ejb
references to find the PortalManager (and other EJBs) from servlets and
taglibs; that is what is signified by the java:comp/env/... name.
Since you built your webapp from scratch (instead of using the portal
wizard), you will need to make sure the you have the appropriate
<ejb-ref> entries in your web.xml, and the corresponding
<ejb-reference-description> entries in your weblogic.xml. By default,
you will need at least mappings for:
- ejb/PortalManager
- ejb/UserManager
- ejb/GroupManager
- ejb/PipelineExecutor
- ejb/EventService
See either the resulting webapp from using the portal wizard or
BEA_HOME/weblogic700/samples/portal/sampleportalDomain/beaApps/sampleportal/sampleportal/WEB-INF
for example syntax.
